General Name: 'Aonydis Xandris Alias: Aox Species: Harbinger Gender: Male Age: At least over 400+ Pack: Loner Rank: n/a
Physical Height: Variable - but usually tries to be bigger than his host Weight: Variable Appearance: To try and describe an ethereal being isn't exactly an easy task to take on. It is in only in the dream world where Aox retains a more constant appearance. His appearance is that of a tall and well muscled male wolf, intimidating in both size and brawn. His fur is short around his back, longer around his chest and stomach and a deep brown colour. His chest is covered in a deep gold colour, which extends only partially onto his stomach. His head is covered in the same marking, with a line of deep red reaching from just between his ears down his back. The markings swirl together, giving him a brown, red and gold swirling appearance.
His body also takes on a strange look when it comes to his shoulders. What seems like bone material sticks out from his shoulder blades, curving around. Depending on his mood, these long bones may house golden wings, but usually they are just the bone material which is an ivory colour. His tail is cropped short, looking much like a yagi in some senses. Both his eyes glow a light magenta colour, giving the appearance of the setting sun coming from his eyes. The intensity of the glow is directly linked to his mood, and will shine brighter the happier he is, but smoulder when he is angry.
He walks in a stoutly, purposeful way and leaves whisps of gold smoke as he moves throughout the dreamworld. He always seems to leave some of this gold behind, whether it be in small orbs suspended in the air, or on the ground. The swirl and mix with the clouds of his home, eventually dissapating once he has left the area for a while.
He tries to maintain this form in the minds of his hosts, but something is always twisted about in some fashion or another. He is usually always bigger than them, even the tallest yagi, and tries to be the most impressive being they have seen. His voice is low, and soothing but can have mechanical sounding overtones at time. He usually uses a whisper when talking to his host at first, but as he becomes more accepted his voice will become louder. Other: n/a
Mental Strengths: Persuasion, mental/"physical" strength, perserverant, faith/optimism, disciplined, protective Weaknesses: Self-interested, rigid, perfectionist, callous, insensitive, dishonest, manipulative, untrustworthy, prideful, unnecessarily competitive Personality: Aox has in essence very typical harbinger qualities. He has learned how to stay alive and such these instincts have molded his personality. To begin, he is a persuasive little bugger. His tongue and words are quick and always seem to contain some sort of hidden compliment. In this way he can also be very manipulative, using his words as a means to get his own end. He has no problem telling the wolf what they want to hear, whether that be about their strength, beauty, or anything else. In such ways he is a liar and untrustworthy. His words cannot be relied on because all they pour is the sweet honey that his host wants to hear.
His power with words gives him an edge. He is smart and thinks things through. In such a realm like the dreamworld he has "physical" strength to a point - his large body is muscled and brawny, but this hinders him and makes him slow. His movements are never speedy and agility is definitely not his strong suit. He doesn't mind this though, finding that the strength of body and mind is more important than the swiftness of his paws.
His mental strength has given him perserverence. He does not easily back down from a challenge and he refuses to give up. He will push himself to achieve his goals, and once he has his mind set on something it is almost certain he will attain it or die trying. These traits make him naturally competitive, but in ways and places where he really shouldn't be. He makes competitions out of everything, and will work himself to exhaustion in order to come out on top.
This perserverance causes Aox to have a bit of an optimistic way of looking at things. He knows so long as he works hard, he will achieve his goal. In such ways he is not quick to lose hope on convincing a wolf of his existence, despite the strength of their mind. He also strives for perfection in everything he does, which goes quick nicely with his ridiculous competitiveness. He likes himself and his hosts to be perfect and he will push them to become the best wolf they can be. With this in mind, he is often insensitive to his host's physical needs. Coming from a world where food and drink don't necessarily matter, he can often push wolves to exhaustion. Once he has a firm grasp on the wolf's mind he will push them and often completely disregard their feelings in order to better them, and thus himself.
He is very disciplined in his ways; he will never make a rash decision. This was how he was brought up, with everything being under strict guidance. Every action, every word, has a purpose, and he remains true to his course. His moods are evened and he rarely gets angry. This causes him to appear callous and aloof, like he doesn't always care. In truth he does, to a point. He relies on his host in order to survive and as such is extremely protective of them. Though unable to really aid them in a fight, years of existence have given him a sharp mind and he will happily coach his host in such a way to remove them from danger.
History: From the moment he opened his eyes all he knew was light and mist. Born in the mind of an easily manipulated wolf he and his two siblings came into being. Their time together was short, and after hundreds of years their names have faded into non-existance. Of what he remembers of his "childhood" were strict, regimented rules and harsh discipline. He learned quickly not to step out of line and to work for what he wanted. Nothing was going to come to him on a platter. He stuck to his family for some time, learning from his father. Much of his childhood was spent watching and practicing. He learned not to complain about the harsh realities of life; complaining did nothing and brought nothing but remorse. They travelled as a small pack, the bond that brought his mother and father together keeping the three pups with them as they moved around. Finding hosts was easy for the two stronger harbingers, mingling with packs of wolves.
It was this way until his mother got lost to the grips of death. After their birthing she had grown less apt to find hosts. The destruction of their main host pack was the main reason as well. A forest fire had wiped out the wolves they had been using as hosts. The ones who had believed were gone, and so his mother, the weakest, went first. Soon his father followed, and then one sibling. He vowed to not share the same fate, determined to maintain a strong belief in himself and find a new host. His presence would remain strong and he would perservere despite all odds. With this conviction he and his other sibling went separate ways, Aonydis quick to find a new wolf in which to inspire belief in his species.
With this in mind he has lived over four centuries, moving from host to host as they cease to exist. His mind is driven to keep himself alive and seems to be on this single track - finding hosts, making them believe, and making a network. His goals are on nothing else, save these few things. In his lifetime he has only encountered the harbingers related to him by blood. He knows that his last sibling is still in existence but knows nothing else. The idea of procreating is not even on his mind and will not be for some time. He has the rest of eternity to think of that.
