[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]Ahote was doing some traveling, and he was far far away from the Cadre territory but maybe that for the best. He had stirred up that annoying female Lyta, almost causing a fight right there before the tournament. He had taken off in the middle of the night and began to skirt through the territories until he had came to the rocky cliffs and the beach ahead of him. He had spent some time on the sand watching the waves crash into the earth as he thought for a long moment.
He was all for becoming more powerful, gaining a higher rank, becoming more. He was always thinking about ways to better his position in life. Ever since the loss of his brother and “oh so loving parents” and pack he had vowed to not ever be abused again and if he had to have a powerful position to avoid it, he would. He wondered if he was tough enough to survive in the Cadre territory, but knew he would stay there because for him there was nothing else.
He grew tired of watching the constant ebb and flow of the water and turned and began to head through the trees and sparse brush. He intended to catch a rabbit or something equally tasty. It seemed that since this was the edge of the bigger forests only a few creatures here and there that dared to venture into this part of the “forest”.
He smelled rabbit, and squirrel but he was not really in the mood to try to spear a fast moving target moving up a tree. As he moved along he stopped, the horns on his head twisted and the horns on his hips moved downward. His dark green pelt stood out even in the sparse brush and evergreens around him. His amber colored eyes flashed as he smelled prey and a delighted smile appeared on his muzzle.
The large rabbit was underneath a lot of brush, blending in quite nicely if the predator did not have eyes and a nose as keen as Ahote’s. The creature paused its chewing as he crouched down and let his shoulders stay low to the ground as he halted his breathing. He knew he would have to end up on the other side of the brush to catch it before it ran, or he could try to use his horns to spear the poor animal through the brush. He decided it might be better to try to think ahead and anticipate the animal’s movements.
He sprung forward, and used all his muscles to jump off in front of the brush and the scared rabbit did exactly what he thought it would do, it darted through the other end where Ahote had landed and tried to scramble to the left. Unfortunately for it, he had his horns down and side smacked the animal into a tree swiftly breaking it’s neck. As he settled in to enjoy the fatter meal and looked around. He wondered what wolves lived here, if any, it smelled like a collective dumping ground for many different scents..

It wasn't like she didn't enjoy the Parran. She was the Czarina of the place after all, she couldn't hate a place she was leader of. Sometimes though, she liked getting away from it. And since it was summer, the best place to go had to be the beach. Seven laughed, trotting along the shoreline of the Cove. Everything at the moment seemed perfect. Her pack was thriving, it was summer, she didn't have work to do. Ah, yes, the good life. She stopped short, spying a bird hopping along the shoreline ahead of her. She was admittedly hungry, having traveled far without stopping. She crouched low, paws digging into the sand as she crouched down and stalked forward. She waited for a moment, making sure that the bird didn't know she was there. Than she jumped, landing on the bird with a thunk and flattening it more than anything. She picked up the limp bird in her jaws, than walked toward the nearby forest to eat her kill. end.She had just finished off the bird when she spotted a male. A fellow yagi male. Tilting her head, she finished cleaning herself and stood up. Stepping around the bushes she presented herself. Head high and tail the same, how she always stood. But instead of the usual scowl she had a smile on her face. "Hello! Fine day, isn't it?"CZARINA

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]Ahote was enjoying the rabbit, immensely. The small creature was fat, and full of flavor, most of the prey on the Cadre were small and wiry from the harsher conditions. He was licking his muzzle when he heard a rustle, and in came a yagi female. He stayed laying down for a long moment, looking at her appreciatively, okay, so he was a cad. But a bachelor was a bachelor and so far he was single and loving it.
The female yagi in front of him had his full attention and her smile and open voice interested him. Slowly he raised his back end, the horns on his hips curling backward and stretched out his back and tail before raising his shoulders finally. He noticed her tail and head held high and simply smiled at her. He did push his tail higher, or lower his head. He simply - was.
“Fine day indeed, finer now that I have seen another Yagi here, especially one as interesting as you..” He stood, making no move to get closer to her, but turning his body in to hers so she knew he was interested in speaking with her. His ears flicked back and forth especially since they were in a territory that he was not completely familiar with.
“What might you be doing out here today? Do you live out here?” Somehow he doubted it, because even from a distance she smelled like other wolves, and she smelled of dirt and other scents that were not the same as the beach and this area. He was content to let her answer and perhaps tell him a little more about herself. His tail, which was not docked had swished to the side a little and he moved a little closer to her.
She smelled like bird and feathers, and he couldn’t help but chuckle, so he had not been the only one who had grabbed lunch on the fly. It seemed this area, while beautiful did not house any type of pack from what he had seen, and so it was open for wolves from other packs and loners to come enjoy the scenery. That just happened to be what he was doing right now enjoying the…scenery, yes that was it..

She wasn't that used to being flirted with. The only males that dared to do so where Arkarian and Pyke. She would usually shoot them down with a few words or throw a comment right back at them. Sevvy sighed, she would ignore his compliment than. Not the nicest thing to do, but oh well. She listened eagerly to the rest of his comments. The generic how are you, do you live here kind of thing. Couldn't he tell that she smelled differently? She had known that he was a pack wolf the instant she realized he was here. He smelled like dry air and dirt. So he was most likely a Cadre wolf. Not one of hers. end.She waved a paw in the air. "Me, here?" She chuckled, sure the Cove was pleasant but she wouldn't want to live here. Much too sandy. "Oh no, I'm from the Taiga. Though I have to say the weather here is much more agreeable than there." She brought her smile back up. "And you?"CZARINA

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]It would seem to Ahote that this female, while friendly, also kept her polite distance. His natural reaction would normally be to pry and continue to be charming towards her, but to be honest he was becoming tired of being the continuous charmer. He had traveled to get away from the annoyances of his life and so why should he continue to keep up the political mind-set that followed him constantly as he walked the territory of the Cadre.
So we were going to keep it on the platonic level of insanity? He may have briefly entered the Taiga on his way down to where he resided now but he could not remember anything but it being slightly cold…more than slightly even, at least when he had passed through. “I am from the Cadre territory.” It was true they could each smell the environment and smell of pack on each other by why skip the personal niceties?
“May I ask your name or would that be too trite and flirtatious for you?” His eyes glittered mischievously as he sat himself down on a small patch of grass, with the shade of the very few evergreens making his pelt appear even darker than it was naturally. According to some they both may have been big, bulky, stupid yagi, but he could only find enjoyment in her presence even if she was a little distant.
He tilted his head firstly to the left and then to the right to stretch his neck from his long walk and then the pouncing of his prey, he could feel the weight of his horns in addition to his natural weight. “I might as well tell you my name, it’s Ahote..” He had always felt a little weird about his name but his pride in his species and name had never faltered despite the awkwardness.
His nose idly sniffed at the air around them, the salt from the water, the damp, moist earth around them, it was a lovely place, and he figured he would tell her he agreed with her. “I don’t remember much about the weather in the taiga but I do concur that the weather here is very agreeable, at least for a visit. However I find I could not live her permanently, no matter how fat the rabbits are..”
Even though it was said with humor, he couldn’t help but be honest with her, he did not see himself ever staying close to the salt water like this. The waterfalls in the Cadre were more beautiful, being set in close with the rocky landscape called to a part of him. “So, are you escaping for a time as well?” Ahote would never skirt his responsibilities but there was no law that said he could not get out and explore territories within traveling distance.

Her mind was on the sight unfolding before her eyes. From where she was sitting, the sunset was unfolding before her. The shimmering gold, orange, red, and pinks lay across the horizon of the ocean. Never before had she seen such a sight. The sunsets in the Taiga where always depleted things. Swirls of remaining oranges and pinks mixed among bleak grays seen from the top of the home Tree. Seven blinked, and was brought back to the now. She shook her head. Scrambling to remember where the conversation had left off. end."Seven...er, yes." She glanced to her paws, buried into the sand. Her mind had gone to a different subject now. A memory of her family stopping on the mountain peaks to see to sunset and rest. Where her mother had dropped the news that she was pregnant with yet another litter. Thus, bringing Seven to thoughts of family. And the utter realization that she had none here. Only her pack, and they didn't exactly count. "Have you...." She trailed off. Realizing that the question she was about to ask may come off as rather random. "Ever wanted a family?"CZARINA

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]Ah, so they were making progress, he had a name. Seven, the named echoed and whispered around in his head as he looked at her. He could tell by the simple fact that she was not making eye contact with him that her mind was elsewhere. But how could he blame her with so much beauty going on around them? Between the sun setting, and the waves crashing on the land, bringing a very wonderful melody over the air to the space between them. It would be romantic if he didn’t think she was a tad flighty. He couldn’t help but wonder exactly what was going on in her mind, however he would not have to wait long to find out.
Had he ever wanted a family….the question near caused him to spit his own tongue out. However, he quickly composed his eyes, seeing as the rest of him had gone stone-cold solid. How could he possibly answer this without insulting her, or having her think he was a complete ass? The question hung in the air between them as he looked at her, what had brought up the notion of family to her, was it this place, or something deeper within her mind?
Did he want a family? Now, back then, ever? The sad truth was, was that when he was a puppy all he had dreamed about was having a family other than what he had. He had wanted a mother who find joy in he and his brother tumbling around, and a father who would teach them things and take pride in his offspring. Instead, he got two aloof parents who did nothing but watch for weaknesses and prey on them, letting the natural elements have their way and cruel natural selection choose who would live or die, never intervening.
His mind locked down at the memories, too painful to bring up, and definitely too painful to live through once more. He wondered if he had pups of his own if he would be able to correct the cycle and be loving towards them. In his heart of hearts his fierce soul said he would do whatever possible to make sure his own offspring were never treated the way he was, but he was not so sure it was avoidable. In his younger years he had imagined litter after litter, many little ones rushing around asking tons of questions and pouncing bugs while enjoying the life they were given.
In answer to her question then, it was yes he had wanted a family, but the opportunity to have pups had never come up, and what family he did have were now dead, and so he faced the world alone. He suddenly realized he had been looking at the ground and pulled his sight up to match hers. “I have wanted a family, ever since the loss of my own..Do you have any family?” He did not exactly say how they were lost, his brother lost to death and his parents were lost to him from the moment he could take his own steps, but none the less it had made him ache for a family not born of cruelty. He hoped that by opening up to her, perhaps she would open up to him in return, her aloofness did not so much bother him as put him on edge..
It was a careful answer, but at least it was truthful. He may not have ever looked at himself like a father, but he did carry himself with a near regal gait, and his horns crowning his hips and the top of his head were always held high. Once upon a time he and his brother had stood side by side, a force to be reckoned with, and he always thought they would be there for each other to raise families with, but that dream had been shattered. He was tempted to ask her exactly what kind of youth experiences she had had, and if that is why she wanted a family, but not seemed like all the wrong time. For now he waited to see if she would stalk off, come closer, or continue speaking to him. Two out of three were the hopeful choices..

But answered her's and than went on to put another on the table. She momentary wondered how to answer his question. Saying Oh, I have a dead sister around here somewhere. Didn't exactly seem to cut it. She tilted her head and came closer to him. Momentarily imagining what him and her's pups would look like. Definitely green with horns. end."I had a sister here. Her name was Kurai, she's the whole reason I came to this place. I heard she had pups, and was leader of a pack or two. Where her last pack was, mine is now." She sighed, her eyes glancing at him to the sunset. Not really sure if she wanted to share the cause of her sister death. "She...killed herself. Out of depression because her family had left her." She turned to him. "But otherwise, i'm in the same boat as you, wanting a family but never getting one."CZARINA

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]It would seem that both of them moved together slowly, but at the speed of light meshed together by bad memories and loneliness. It was all so tragic. He was pleasantly surprised when she actually told him she did have family here at one point, and how her sister had died. As she moved closer, he took the last few steps to bring their bodies almost to the point of touching, but not quite. It would take one of them leaning in to actually do more than feel the presence of the other.
He had known only of a few wolves who had taken their own lives, in grief, loneliness, sheer depression. It was a hard thing to hear about but he could not imagine how not only had she had to have it full frontally within her mind but to deal with the loss of the one family member who was the reason she had come here. ‘I’m sorry’ just did not seem to cut it, there were some situations for which he had no words.
By similar default, no one could comfort him over the loss of his brother, or the fact that had he had control over himself he could have left his parents breathing. But he spoke none of this, what would Seven do if she found out he was a murderer? A valiant, honorable one, but a murderer none the less. He chose to be silent and not comment on her information about her sister. That was a pain Ahote did not think he could bring any comfort to.
However, he noticed as she was closer that she was a lighter shade of green, with horns nearly as tall as his, and she smelled delightfully cool. Where as the land around them smelled salty, and humid, she smelled like the fresh winds that blew over the snows in winter and different plants. While he on the other hand smelled of the heat and fresh, sun-baked earth. He leaned in slowly to place his nose into her shoulder and inhale her scent.
It was not as if Ahote did not have his fair chances at having a family, the one mate he had managed to fall for had been ready to have a family with, and they were well on their way when more tragedy struck. He closed his eyes as his heart wrenched with the pain of the drowning of his first ever set of young. He inhaled deeply and simply said, “It seems as though the word family and tragedy are synonymous when it comes to me.” It was not as if he were trying to worn her away, it was simply how he felt. It would be lovely to have many pups to call him father and to make sure his lines were continued.
He leaned in once more to take in her scent and press his nose against a few places along her neck as his eyes traveled the landscape around them. They were pretty secluded within the few trees that lined the area around them, his ears twitching to hear water rolling and birds flying around them, and now as the sun set around them he pulled back to look into her eyes, “If you want something bad enough, it will appear before you when it’s time to have it, or when it can be given to you..” His amber eyes looked down on her and he became utterly still while he waited…

He smelled like everything she wasn't. Of desert and sun, opposed to fresh snow and cold air. She sighed, wishing that she could stay like this forever, though knowing it was impossible to do so. She had a pack to get back too, and other responsibility's. If only she could bring him with her, to rule by her side. She tucked the last trail of thoughts away in her mind. Perhaps one day, he could return with her. But at the moment, it was hopeless. end.At the sound of his last words, her hopes skyrocketed. This male could give her what she always wanted. A family. Pups to call her own, a mate to eventually be by her side. The best, if selfish, thing of all is that they would be purebred yagi's like herself. "Dear," She paused, giving herself a moment to sort out the things in her mind. "I think you know what we both want."CZARINA

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/62ae.jpeg]Complete and utter opposites, that is exactly what they were. But by what chance did they meet at this small, salty paradise to come together as such. As she buried her head into his fur, his chest swelled with pride. His nose snuffled around her fur and he brushed his head against her neck while always keeping his horns in mind to never put any rough ends toward her.
His thoughts had also veered off into the ‘what if’ categories of things. He had his own duties in the Cadre, and his own ambitions to rise to the top most rank he could. He was ambitious in every aspect of the word and had no problems doing whatever it took to rise to the occasion. He was not above battling for the best things, or even the darker aspects of things. Honor was a funny thing, it was only defined by those who were doing the actions.
They had only met, but her scent filled his brain and clouded his eyes, and it seemed right to be with her in whatever way she so chose. He would not throw himself, his dreams or life away but by being with her he found enjoyment, and peace. That was worth killing for within his mind.
His body stepped fully around hers, brushing up completely while he licked along her cheek and neck and his tail, which had not been docked wagged to the side. His heart beat faster and his eyes were shiny with desire and happiness. With her last words his whole mind went blank with anything but her scent and sight..
