Mishka had wandered next to the Shinkou Mountains for too long, the cold boggy ground where the ice had barely thawed had thoroughly chilled her. It was yet another place she knew a home could not be found. Mishka wandered south, following the macaque spring as it flowed gently down from the mountains. She walked for hours, with each step the ground growing ever greener beneath Mishka’s weary paws. The stream slowly became a river and there was no longer a chill in the air. New scents filled her nostrils as she tried to process them all at once. There was the fragrance of fresh green grass, rich and soft beneath her feet and the perfume of wildflowers speckled through the meadow. There was another scent however, the scent of other wolves. Mishka instantly cowered slightly as the scent occupied her nose, but realizing that there was none very close to her, she relaxed. Mishka had not been around another being in almost half a year, and had never been in a pack, but perhaps she felt this was place to start as she yearned for the company that she had lost so many months ago. She did not feel threatened by the thought that other wolves lived here, but instead almost relieved. The warm climate had relaxed her, and Mishka felt safer than she had done in a long time, even in the open space of the meadow. She could not resist the cool clean river that flowed quietly passed her and decided to jump in. The cool water was like heaven against her weary limbs, and submerging herself allowed the river to flow through her dirty pelt, washing away the months of wandering different lands. Feeling entirely refreshed Mishka climbed out of the river and settled herself, sprawling out on the banks, allowing the warm sun to dry her now glistening fur as she dozed off.

(OOC: Sorry for the useless post, muse is on sick leave) [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/56Mq.jpeg]Magispar considered her duties as Guide all-important; she often roamed the territory, on the lookout for intruders or threats. She had still not quite got over her pride at founding a pack that was now growing so fast, and was willing to do anything to protect it. That included spending time when most people would say she should be relaxing patrolling around the land. Eventually she was sure the stress would get to her, but not now, and really, who cared? It wasn't like she could quit and take a week off or anything- that would be stupid. She was on one such patrol when she came across the scent of another wolf, and immediately followed the trail, bounding along with her nose to the ground and eyes narrowed. The scent didn't smell hostile, but you never really knew. It was only a few minutes at a swift lope, during which time Magispar smelt herself cross the border out into the outskirts of the territory, before she emerged from a patch of long grass to find a wolf dozing among the green grass, which was almost glowing in the day's warmth, growing as it was in the fertile soil by the river. The wolf was clean and quite wet, and Magi guessed that whoever it was had just been for a swim and had been drying off in the warm sun when she had fallen asleep. How careless, to fall asleep so close to pack territory... "Hello," she exclaimed, moving closer to the wolf and prodding her awake- not gently, but not that hurtfully either. Just a firm poke to get her awake. "Who are you? This is the territory of the Philia Alliance, and I'm Magispar, the Guide." She kept herself polite and friendly, partly because it was in her nature and partly because this wolf might want to join. But if she was just trespassing, Magi was- as always- tense and ready to chase her out. Some day, this same tension and stress was going to get to her. | |

Mishka was lay down in the warmth of the sun dreaming of the beautiful meadows, refreshing rivers and hunting whitestag. She was peaceful and calm as she slept until a strange voice broke her dreaming. It was followed by a slight but sharp poke to her side. Mishka awoke suddenly, startled by the midnight black pelted wolf towering over her as she lay in the grass. Her red streaks made it clear to Mishka that she was not a Lyxxus like herself and was therefore slightly confused. Was she to fear this female the stood before her? Her senses were sharp but seemed to have no hostility towards Mishka. As she lay there wondering, Mishka suddenly realised that the wolf had spoken to her! She stood up politely and shook herself a little as she was still rather damp. Processing what the female had said.. "Excuse my intrusion, I did not mean to stumble upon this territory" She looked more closely at the female before her now and a friendly smile escaped Mishka, who felt she was no threat, but could possibly help her find what she was looking for. "My name is Mishka, I have had no pack and lost my family six months ago. I have been searching for a home ever since.. If you wish me to leave I shall, but may I consider this place to be welcoming to a stranger such as myself?" Mishka felt she didnt want to say to much, incase se was an unwelcome visitor. She sat back down in the warm grass, tilling her head slightly to one side to show that she was of no threat and calmly waited for the wolf to answer her..

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/56Mq.jpeg]Magispar smiled. as the wolf spoke of searching for a new home and wondering if this place would be welcoming. "Everybody is welcome here!" she replied fervently with a sweep of her tail, gesturing over the whole territory. "The Philia Alliance accepts everybody. We are a pack of freedom and equality. All wolves are equal here. And that means equally welcome," she continued with another sweeping gesture. She always enjoyed moments like this, and took the opportunity to show off. "If you wish to join our pack, you will always be welcome in our lands. And even if you do not, so long as you are not hostile, we will not chase you from the very outskirts of our territory, which is where we stand here," Magispar finished. The other wolf had sat back down in the warm grass and Magispar mirrored the action, quite tired already by this point in the day. "Of course, that's assuming you want to join... but our pack has often taken in those who have no pack, or lost their families. Most of our members seem to have such histories. Our pack acts as a sanctuary to all of them, and gives them a place to be free, and above all, equal.... that is the very basis of the Alliance."

OOC: I'm sorry for a late reply, I was away at a wedding and forgot to say before I left!
A sudden sense of warmth flooded through Mishka's body. She was welcome here.. a place of sanctuary, freedom and equality. Mishka for a moment felt overwhelmed that she'd been offered a permanent home. Looking intensely at the female now sat in front of her, her aqua-marine eyes gleamed with delight, unable to contain her happiness. How quickly her life seemed to have turned by simply stumbling into this wolf's territory. She collected her thoughts and spoke as calmly as her excitement would allow her. "I feel my troubles are finally over and, if you will allow it, I wish to join the alliance. I am a skilled hunter and feel I could be of any use to your pack if you wish." Mishka stretched out her still somewhat tired figure from the months of constant travel and could feel her pelt was almost now dry. She went to thank the wolf for her kindness but realised she had no name in which to address her. "I'm sorry but I do not yet know your name?".. Mishka had spoke with new friendliness, knowing that she no longer needed any fear of this place.

OOC: I'm assuming that if Magi is now occupied in the poppy meadow, that I'm free to now join in with other posts, or do I need to wait for Magi?

OOC: That's fine, and I'm sorry that my posts here are so uninspired... [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/56Mq.jpeg]Magispar offered a slight smile as the other wolf looked intensely at her, convinced she'd got her victory- this wolf, Mishka, would join the Alliance! A more sincere smile spread involuntarily across her face. Yes! She'd only done this once before- Keinvarii was good at seeking out new members, better than she was, and anybody could accept new members- so this to her was a real achievement. The wolf seemed friendly and happy now as she spoke of wishing to join the Alliance. Magispar relaxed fully and nodded slightly when the wolf- no, Mishka, she was a packmate now and Magi would need to start referring to her by her name- asked after Magispar's name. "I am Magispar.... I believe I introduced myself when I woke you up, though I know such things can escape your mind when somebody jerks you out of sleep like that," Magi replied. "Sorry about that, by the way.... if you are a skilled hunter, I believe you will fit best into the Hunter rank?" Magi nodded. "If you're fine with all of that, then, welcome, Mishka, to the Philia Alliance, home of the equal and free."

OOC: Ignore that post just before, it was seconds before you posted
Mishka sifted back through her memory, only to realise Magispar had indeed already introduced herself as the guide of her new pack and suddenly felt slightly stupid. "I think my overwhelmed emotions got the better of my thoughts for a moment, but thank you Magispar for welcoming me into your pack" Mishka took in a slow deep breath through her nares, picking up all the fragrances around her, there was an odd unfamiliar scent from somewhere in the distance, but not knowing what it was Mishka shrugged it off. She exhaled then, feeling she could finally relax as the ground beneath her feet was now her homeland. "Yes, the rank of hunter I feel will suit my skills well, and will help keep me at the best of my ability" Mishka eyed the vast scenery around her, looking for traces of any other wolves of the pack. "Are there many other pack members that form the alliance?" Mishka asked Magi politely, as she was keen to explore her new home and meet those who were soon to become her pack family. Pack life was to suit her well.
