[scrolly:h(300),w(399),sy] It was not that the young Myou was lost, no, she'd never admit to that, she'd just been slightly redirected. Into this odd land, hauntingly beautiful as it was it attracted the female parrot Myou quite efficiently. However, finding a place to land was the trouble...Above the swamp she flew gracefully, a tropical splash of color amongst the scenery as her the air current helped to carry her dainty form. Yawning slightly Citrine realized she had been neglected her need to rest, and her wings could no longer support her.
And so it was that she appeared to fall, closing her wings in and diving in a perfectly designed spiral before opening her bright wings to slow her decent as she perched on the errant branch of a pretty mangrove. Crouching she peered into the swamp below for any signs of life that could be of harm to her. She seldom sat on the ground, trees provided a much safer haven for the poor fighter. Her aqua eyes shone brightly as she took in all the sights, what an interesting spot to have landed. The murky waters added a mystical charm to the area and the trees were almost surreal in their designs.
In her musical sing song voice she cooed, "Now what to do? This place is rather nice, but surely it'll do no good to sit here and do nothing...I wonder what there is to eat?" Her feathery tail swished back and forth, and she lay down on the branch, angling her body in a comfortable fashion. This was one of the rare times Citrine was ever still, being much too full of energy for laying around usually. She chirped on to her self, "Perhaps this is a friendly pack's land? I would so love to find a home land, and this one would do fine as far as I can tell."[/scrolly]

OCC; Would you terribly mind if Dreamith and Nelio joined?
BIC; Dreamith was patrolling with Nelio, though she had gone ahead a bit with 'Ooo's and 'Ahhh's. She was interested in the land around her. Though, she was not very interested in the insects that had become interested in her and start to land on her and bite all over the place. It could be clearly heard, even though she would mumble it, something about that she hated the infesting insects, but then she would happily go along her way as if she had no bad thought in mind.
Dreamith was no longer tired but curious. She had become quiet, walking slowly, as if stalking something. In a tree, there were branches covering the rest of the bird, but she spotted the tail feathers. They were quite odd feathers, but something fun to catch and play with maybe. She crouched down low, wiggled her but in the air a little, then jumped up at it, hoping to close her jaws down on the butt feathers.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=00c5cd] Nelio was not so sure Dreamith understood the meaning of patrolling. They were looking for new members, disturbing scents, marking the borders and in general keeping an eye on the landscape around them. Instead he saw her wriggling herself, and her rear end in the air as a splash of color caught his eye. Something about the tail made him reconsider Dreamith’s actions, and while he appreciated the view from behind her, he began to trot quickly behind her, purposely making a lot of noise to scare the animal into the open or away.
His smooth voice rang out, “Dreamith…I doubt it would be wise to attempt to eat that….Feathers after all are not too filling..” He gently came up next to her and pressed his body close. Something about the tail did not seem all there and while normally he would not have had a problem keeping Dreamith close while she played and he marked borders and kept an eye out, something tugged in the back of his mind.
His body tried to maneuver his body into hers and attempted to turn her body the other way. “We need to be on the look out for intruders, and potential pack mates…” His voice was loud enough so that any that were close could show themselves or at least know that he and Dreamith belonged to the residing pack and it was their job to protect the territory. He walked over to the edge and marked the dirt before scraping it back with his claws in a show of possessiveness.
He did not want to move on so quickly though, there was something here, something still didn’t sit right. He put his nose to the ground and began to move around, sniffling and snuffing the ground. He murmured to Dreamith, “Does something smell off to you, do you feel different..?” He wanted her opinion, for this was the exact reason it was better to patrol in small numbers. In case something was off and odd, and you happened to be out-numbered or out-skilled, you could even the playing field… His voice rang out, "I know you are there...come out whoever you are!!"

[scrolly:h(300),w(399),sy] The sudden voice calling out was practically enough to knock Citrine out of her rant and off the branch on which she was perched. Tilting her head down she took a look at whom was calling out. An observer might find the sight rather amusing, as only her head appeared from the foliage, slightly cocked to the side as bright aqua eyes scanned the swamp floor. Panting slightly she eyed the two new wolves, rather curious. They did not seem to mean any harm to her, though it would appear the female had been considering pouncing on her beautiful tail. With a small chirp of welcome she floated down from the branch, using her colorful wings to help her land gracefully.
Flipping her long head feathers back she approached the pair, tail dragging ceremoniously behind her. In her light voice she chirped, "Hi there! How do you both do? My name is Citrine...Do you belong to this pack? How do I get in to it? What do they want from a prospective member? I certainly meant to trespass, but only because I am looking for a new home." Her slew of questions came flying out of her mouth as she ruffled her feathers in excitement. Maybe she'd finally find a place to stay, no more constant worrying about being attacked, new friends, a family and companions.
Grinning slightly she bounced lightly on the pads of her feat, anxious to be accepted. The heat of the area was luxurious, and suited her tropical preferences greatly. Her eyes darted around furiously, absorbing everything before she became randomly still, sniffing lightly at the air. What a delightful area, what a delightful pair of wolves and what a delightful day she thought excitedly. Her small and dainty form was once again bursting with energy, her youth serving as a catalyst to her recovery from her flight. [/scrolly]

Dreamith smile. Talkative mode on. "Hi, sorry I tried to pounce your tail feathers. I am Dreamith and this is my friend Nelio but you can call him Lio, but I still call him Nelio. Yes we are from this pack of this land. This is such a lovely pack and pack land is it not? Maybe me and Nelio are not the only ones to think so. You have lovely feathers by the way." She decided that Nelio could answer her questions. Dreamith truthfully didn't completely know, she just knew the basics. Loyalty, team work, etc.
She sat down and smiled. Dreamith had never seen such a colorful wolf that had wings but there was always time for a first. And just because she hated to be complimented on didn't mean she didn't complement others.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=00c5cd] Nelio knew by now that his gut feelings were rarely ever wrong, he assumed it had something to do with being so in tune with the water around him, that it made him very intuitive. His naturally blue speckled pelt glittered in the light of day as he looked around. When his eyes met with the aqua blue of the other female, he made a small step back, she was right, it did look a little odd to see just a face pointing out. When she fluttered down from the branch he had to admit she was beautifully colored, but it also made him question who or exactly what she was. While Lio may have been open and accepting of many, this creature was very mysterious.
She had wings, which may have pointed her as a keiyou…but her bright colors were not something the keiyou normally had, was she a mixture? His curiosity was high but not getting the better of him. He stood beside Dreamith, his tail held high and his body slightly in front of her. Un-consciously he had deemed himself her protector whether she liked it or not, and even as bright and beautiful as she was, she was a stranger in their lands. He wondered what exactly she wanted, and he would not be disappointed as she began to speak- and fast.
Because she spoke so fast Lio simply waited to answer her questions until she was done chirping, and then as he took a breath inward, Dreamith began. It had to be something with females to talk this much this fast when they got together. He watched as she ruffled and turned her body of color all over the place. With the sun hitting her it was almost as if she changed colors with being so excited..
He listened to Dreamith apologize for practically trying to de-tail the other female, and he couldn’t help but chuckle. His eyes turned over to Dreamith as she sat down and he appraised her gently, while he was silent not complimenting her, his eyes found her to be lovely, just as the female with wings, but her energy crackled along his skin like fire.
Now that there was a moment of silence he figured he could have a moment to explain and answer the questions that the bright female had asked him. “I may only speak for myself Citrine, but I am doing well this day. I am surrounded by a home that has quiet beauty, I have a beautiful friend at my side to keep me company and a pack and place to call home. I do belong to the Quesse Anar Clan, which is the pack that resides here, I am Beta to the pack.” It was evident the female was looking for a home and he considered her no threat, except for possibly wearing someone out with her words and boundless energy.
“The pack requires what most pack’s require, loyalty to the pack, you will need to work to help provide for the pack if that means hunting for the pack, helping to patrol the borders, defending against intruders or trouble makers. This pack lives in a place of beauty and we work hard to learn something new every day, about anything, or each other. What skills do you have that could help the pack? Is there a rank or job you find yourself excelling at?”
She would have time enough to meet the Alphess and Alpha who made all of the decisions for the betterment of the pack, but he knew this brightly colored female was looking for a home, and it was the will of the pack to give her a home and to take her in, in exchange for her helping the pack in it’s celebration of life, and peace. He waited for her answer to his question and looked sidelong to Dreamith, she was really cute, perky even at times. It was refreshing to be around females that found joy and excitement in everything around him…

[scrolly:h(300),w(399),sy] Doing her best to focus her youthful energy Citrine absorbed the two wolve's responses, giving Dreamith an open and friendly smile. Dreamith's friend did not quite seem as trusting, but the Myou supposed that was to be expected. She had difficulty taking her eyes off the shiny blue specks in the male's pelt, the parrot in her ever fascinated by shiny objects. To be true the pair were both beautiful in form and never one to be particularly shy she pipped up her opinion in a bright voice, "Well I really must return the compliment to you both as you are a fine looking pair, what species are you if you don't mind me inquiring? I am a parrot Myou." The last statement was said with a deal of happiness as Citrine was truly content with her species, though her small size was always cause for concern.
What a perfect sounding pack, she thought, her mind was always moving, even when her mouth was not and she had a tendency to absorb new information like a sponge. In a truthful mannerism she replied, "I really am no good at fighting, so I suppose I am more of a hindrance in that regard." She hung her head a little, slightly ashamed. If she could not help defend her pack the little Myou did not consider herself of much use. However, for that direct reason she needed a home, and so she continued on pleading her case. "I can hunt though! And I do so enjoy new knowledge plus I am dependable. Yep," she nodded her head, " you can certainly trust me. I would quite love a home and I could prove myself to be quite loyal if given the chance."
Citrine was starting to have trouble standing in one spot, and she continued to bounce lightly from one foot to the other in trepidation. She could only hope her answer would be well received. In nervousness she tucked her feathered wings around her body in a colorful cocoon of comfort, tail twitching slightly. Perhaps she would get the tour and get to meet other wolves later; that is if she made it past this point. [/scrolly]

Dreamith looked at Nelio as he spoke. He spoke with such authority and even stood by her in a protecting manner. For a moment, she was stuck in a fantasy of them laying in a cave with it pouring out side (ha, remind me of Phoenix and Jackle moment) and Nelio putting his his head on her shoulders and neck and bringing her into a neck hug. Dreamith blinked. Just a...er... what was that? Was she really just day dreaming about him? Was she starting at him this whole time? He finished and she looked away. That was strange. She glanced at him and saw him glancing at her, she quickly looked back at the brightly winged wolf.
A quite lovely pair? Really? Are we? She thought then cleared her throat, though ever so slightly blushing now. "Thank you," She didn't try to do the whole 'oh no we arn't this or that' thing. "We are Ceals. I have never met a parrot myou, it is a pleasure to meet you." She said smiling. "Its nice to meet trust worthy wolves. I have met two today so far." She said, glancing at Nelio again. "I am not much of a fighter either and I am more like a hunter myself. I would give you a chance but that is not my place in the pack... though... Nelio here is the Beta male." She said, turning her head to him and smiling warmly. That was not the reason she liked him, it was because she was able to open herself to him, and she thought there really was something, even if small, bonding there.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=00c5cd] Lio found the colors of the female in front of him to be beautiful, but he was used to that being a Cael, both he and Dreamith were beautifully colored when they were in the water, and it was definitely one of Dreamith’s attractive qualities. However he could admit she was beautiful on land as well, as he was thinking now. His eyebrow rose at Citrine calling them a fine looking pair although he agreed he said nothing for the moment, listening to Dreamith answer her about what species they were. He was content to let the females talk while his eyes traveled the area around them just to make sure they were still alone.
He noticed her pride in who and what she was and that made him smile. He was utterly content to be a Cael and had never dreamed of being anything else, although he had met other self loathing Cael and species, and he didn’t understand how they lived with themselves day in and day out, after all who they were genetically was not going to change. His head nodded sharply when she said she might be a bad fighter, not all wolves could fight. Even Cael were at a disadvantage if the fight encountered water. It took a long time to even learn how to fight with a larger tail.
At her suggestion she could hunt though his eyes lightened up, well then she could contribute to the pack and he saw no reason to deny her entrance. He noticed that she was eager to get moving again and so he began to tell her what she was waiting for. “Well then Citrine, I see no reason to deny you entrance to the pack as long as you promise to learn the boundaries, and hunt to keep the young ones and those who cannot hunt for themselves. You are welcome into the Quesse Anar Clan.” His eyes turned to Dreamith and he leaned in to give her a gentle nudge, his eyes brushing over her from her own eyes to tail. He did not need to say verbally how attractive her found but it was clear by the way he protected her and watched her he felt they were bonding as well.
Looking again to the parrot myou he smiled and stood, shaking himself off, “I have invited Dreamith to go patrolling with me as I scout the boundaries and seek out newcomers and any possible threats. I think this may be good for you considering you have wings. If we needed you to check out any area of the territory you would know where it is and could make it faster than most of the pack..” He was always looking for the advantages to the pack he had joined and pledged loyalty to. Those with wings were especially precious, because he could scout things from a safe distance in the sky and report back without being seen. Just like Cael were excellent for waterway scouting and looking for areas where prey may reside due to a local water source.
He needed to inform her though of other things, “You are welcome to come with us. In good time I believe you will meet our Alphess, whom we defer to in all things, Sunchaser, and many others in the pack. As Dreamith stated I am Beta but you may always pass a problem up to Sunchaser who will give you a fair and honest decision and answer.” He was still standing close to Dreamith, her scent clinging in cloying bursts to his skin and nose. Turning to her he smiled, “Are you ready to continue? Perhaps you are Citrine can seek out any other new members…without taking a bite out of them..” Laughing lowly, he forgot and the twinkling sound of his voice washed over her and Citrine. Quickly he closed his mouth, although the smile remained.
