Her silver toned scales didn't exactly allow her to blend the best against the bright green scenery, but it made no difference to her. Her varied blue spots and stripes only made the inability to camouflage worse. She was better off in water, where she could blend and hide with ease, wait silently for her victim to walk by. She would lash out in an instant and drag them into the water with her, holding them down until they could no longer breathe. Of course, these thoughts were all completely hypothetical, merely an idea of what she would do if she decided to cause mayhem in this pack's lands. She had been searching for a wolf to allow her to join, but she received nothing and moved on.
The humidity left her scales damp, small droplets of water forming on them and causing them to be shiny in the darkness. Her long, thick tail dragged on the ground, clearly leaving her scent all over the place. She would have to do this until she met a wolf who could accept her or until she could kill someone just for fun. Although, fun is not the word she would use, per say. It was simply something to pass the time, something she often took pride in seeing happen. She was a mastermind at manipulating and killing others, especially when it came to leaving herself out of the line of fire from the aftermath of such actions. Her icy blue eyes scanned the area as she brushed through the leaves. Her compact claws clicked against the stone and dirt of the ground.
Braelyn didn't sigh as she came to a small clearing, but was rather disappointed when there was no one around and she had come this deep into the territory. Not one wolf. How pathetic...this pack must not be so great as she had thought it might have been. This pack had an interesting reputation, a...bad one, no less. It was something she had been interested it, but her interest in the pack was steadily diminishing. The pack itself was rather pathetic and useless if they couldn't even keep a decent patrol system up and running. She had been in the territory for over a day, and she had yet to be discovered. It was ridiculous to the female and her nose crinkled slightly in disgust.

[scrolly:h(197),w(410),sy] The large male had been following the Caella for quite some time now, blending in a out of the shadows as his ocean eyes clouded over slowly. Who was this wolf to come marching into their territory so brazenly? A growl was waiting deep within his throat but he uttered no sound as he continued his silent vigil. The fish tailed wolf seemed almost annoyed, perhaps they had expected the pack to come and greet them openly? It would take a rather dense wolf to think such a thing...No matter, the simple fact of the matter was they were indeed trespassing and now that other wolves had waited until the Caella had moved further into the territory she was as good as dead.
Chuckling deeply he emerged from the shadows, black fur gleaming with blood red highlights as he strolled languidly over to the wolf, standing at a safe distance away so that he may judge them to determine if they were really dangerous. The long tail that trailed behind her indicated swift movements in water, but on land he was sure to have the advantage. He stood tall, as an Enforcer he needed to make up for the lack of attention the pack's soldiers had been demonstrating and he supposed dealing with this fickle wolf would not waste too much time; if anything he could make it amusing. Growling slightly he spoke as his voice flowed like silky ink over the area, "Hum, how delightful, it looks as though we may be having fish for supper tonight, unless you have a damn good reason for trying to infiltrate this deep into the jungle." His eyes positively gleamed in anticipation, he did so enjoy a good frolic in the pool of mischief.
"I must say though that I am rather surprised no one has stopped you yet, I suppose we do have a habit of letting our prey go deeper so that escape simply becomes impossible." He laughed chillingly, a mildly mocking expression on his face. "I guess I could commend you on your bravery, or perhaps it is simple stupidity unless...You actually want to die? It would be a waste and I am afraid I could simply not oblige you as you are not hard on the eyes and I am sure we have some unattached males that would show an interest." He slowly licked his chops, using the visual cue for added emphasis. The muscles on his hide rippled slightly as he tensed, curious to see what the wolf had to say for themselves.
She was certainly to his taste, at least the top part of her, but this whole affair with Tor limited his hunting. Where as before he would have coerced the female into submission, now he simply did not have the interest; none could match the beauty of his mate in the lupus' eyes. That did not stop him from having fun though. And he smiled threateningly as he looked forward to a possible show that would result from the Caella being insulted and degraded. Scorch was not sure what had caused him to take this approach for normally he was much more of a charmer, but perhaps it was just to see how she would react. He seldom ushered a word without weighing the consequences and he could expect some outrage; he welcomed it.[/scrolly]

The scents of the pack residing in the lands drifted all around her, but she was aware of some scents stronger than others, especially one particular male that had been following her around like a lost puppy. Perhaps patrol levels weren't completely useless in this place, but the low numbers were still pathetic. Either this pack was extremely small or they had a lot of guts when it came to their fighting wolves. The arrogance of the male near her was clear and she waited patiently for him to reveal himself. When he finally decided to stop hiding, Braelyn didn't move, but glanced at him from the corner of her eye. A Lupus, and depending on the fur coloring he possibly had a fire element, but she couldn't be sure. Either way, the emotionless Gaian female would need to be careful. The last thing she needed was dry scales and sickness following.
Braelyn listened to the male speak, not at all fazed by his words, and remained silent through the first duration. Fish? Did she look like a fish to him? Other than her scales, she could find no reason why she would be mistaken for a fish. Pathetic...she had four legs, no fins. There was nothing fish like about the girl except for the scales replacing her fur. Such a mistake on the male's part made the corner of her lips twitch. She almost thought about smiling at his stupidity. Infiltration? She had no reason to hurt anyone or to come into the jungle, except to merely find herself a home. However, often if she did not find what she was looking for, then killing someone for no reason was a good enough thing to do before leaving such a place as this. It was a simple way to cause mayhem and pass the time.
Of course no one had stopped her yet, but she wasn't at all surprised of such a thing. She had been in the territory for just over a day and there was no sight of any of the pack members lingering in the territory, almost as if all of them had fled at the sight of her. The thought was enticing, but even she was smart enough to see that was not the reason. They were all too lazy to get off their asses and do their jobs. She didn't even let her fur prickle at the compliment of her physical looks that he gave her, added with a notion of his tongue over his jowls that would have disturbed anyone else. It didn't bother her in the slightest, males were stupid and would never take advantage of her. She refused to allow it to happen and she would kill anyone who even tried to do such a thing. It was a ridiculous action to attempt.
Slowly, the Gaian turned her head and partially her body to face the male. Her cold, ice blue eyes resting on him, showing no emotion just as her face did. She did not let others know how she felt through her looks, but would certainly voice her distaste for someone without an issue. Her voice was like ice itself and it was completely monotonous, "I am not a Cael, nitwit. I am a Gaian and if you think I will allow any male to touch me, then you are sorely mistaken. I was only able to come into the territory so far because of this pathetic pack's lack of motivation to do their job. I must say, however, even though you came out here to stop me, you are just as pathetic and idiotic as the rest of them." Braelyn finished her speech and stood there, eyes staring intently at the male in front of her. She had a feeling this could lead to a fight, and she was certainly not going to shy away from it.

[scrolly:h(197),w(410),sy] He could not help but laugh, the full sound coming from deep within his chest. She was a darling indeed though he had been mistaken about the Caella species, no matter, a wolf was a wolf no matter the species. As long as he could amuses himself in their presence he cared naught. The insult slid off his shoulders and into the darkness as his eyes gleamed. So he would have to work at making this one frazzled, all the better as he did so enjoy a challenge. In many ways this posed the perfect opportunity to test his skills and he was never one to turn down an opportunity.
In a mildly mocking voice he teased, "Oh, my apologies, and does this Gaian have a name or shall I have to address you as trespassers for the duration of your rather permanent stay? I did not think you would willingly allow a male to touch you...That was never the issue." He winked, this was fun! However, he could not help but grow angered at her insults of the pack. To insult him was fine, he was of course bantering with her,but this matter of the pack was not forgivable.
His temperament changed rapidly as he voice his opinion in a dangerously smooth voice, "You had best watch your tongue, for the pack you insult was merciful enough to allow you to live. Insult it again and I will not be so kind. Perhaps you have not posed enough of a threat to be worth addressing. We take care of the worthy trespassers before we dispose of the trash." He sneered the last sentence, perhaps it would tone her insolence down a few notches. A small snarl of warning rumbled from his chest as the fur on his back raised itself a little.
Swirling into the shadows he appeared on the other side of the Gaian, his composure once again back to normal. "I am rather glad you popped in, though I am afraid you can never leave, not after insulting our hospitality. You wanted someone, here I am, now state why we should pay any attention to you." The male wished to not only know of her name, but to irk her. She would have told him that was not possible, though it certainly wasn't worth it. She did not feel as though telling the male her name would help in her predicament, as if there was even one that she was stuck in. There was nothing for her to say to his first few sentences. Of course he was probably smart enough to realize that she would not allow any male to touch her. Besides, if any male was stupid enough to even attempt to touch her she would attack them, craft some quick way to kill them. Place them in a spot where lightning would strike or where she could make a rock fall upon them and crush them, blood splattering and trickling everywhere the eye could see. She pushed the thoughts from her head, focusing on the male. No emotion played on her face when he winked at her, obviously trying to make her feel uneasy.
Braelyn was mildly satisfied when his temperament changed quickly at the insults to his pack. So, there was a soft spot for him there. How perfect. She did not like this male in the slightest, as she had not liked most of anyone, and now that she had found his weakness, she would pick him apart piece by piece. It was the most...fun...way to watch another wolf fall apart. It was definitely her favorite way to get a person killed, as it was the most interesting way to do so. A plot formed in her head. If this male could not be proven useful to her, then she would kill him. After all, it only took mere moments for her to think of a way to do so. It wouldn't take long at all to pick apart this pathetic excuse for a male wolf, especially one that came off as so high and mighty.
She didn't flinch nor feel anything when the word trash was directed mostly at her in his sentence, the sneer evident in his voice. She did not take any move to stop him or retort for saying such a thing, for she had heard it before. She was not stupid nor did she care for name calling. All name calling was to her was something the weak used to show off and attempt to scare another wolf into submission. If she was right, this wolf was just as weak as she thought he was, but the urge to kill him in her crafty way was becoming very hard to ignore. Her face remained as hard and as blank as a slate of stone, showing no reaction to anything he said or did, especially when he dissolved into the shadows and reappeared on her other side. A shadow lupus, how intriguing. At least he didn't control fire, then she might have actually had to worry there for a minute.
She almost smirked at his last words, about the pack paying any attention to her. She did not recall asking for attention from anyone, but had simply stated how pathetic the pack was at doing what they were supposed to be doing. "Attention? I did not ask for such a thing. Hmmmmm...." She hummed. "It makes me wonder how pathetic your leader must be...if he or she cannot make a decent patrol system. I have seen much better." Braelyn turned herself around and began padding away, intending to leave the jungle. She had no intentions of dealing with those who were weak. She was not afraid of the male's threats of keeping her there. In fact, she would love to see him try to stop her from leaving. In the back of her mind, though she knew she had a crafty way to kill him right there, she began to wonder if the male had enough guts to come after her.

Tor had been patrolling the borders for most of the day and had almost walked more than half of the territories perimeter when she had caught the scent of a loner inside of the border line. She had followed the scent of the female deep into the territory and had almost caught up to her. She soon smelt another wolfs scent and knew it to be her mate, Scorch. She continued at a quicker pace until she heard her mates voice beyond a few ferns. Then the voice of the stranger female snapping back at him and insulting her pack and leader. This female was either really brave or really stupid to be insulting her pack as that may soon cost her her life.
She soon revealed herself to the two with a devilish laugh as she walked towards Scorch to stand beside him. She turned her electric yellow eyes towards the scaly silver female. "My, my, my what do we have here? I have followed your scent stranger from the border to here and now I find you here, with my mate and insulting our leader and members. That kind of talk young lady will get yourself killed here, so if I were you I'd watch your mouth." she snapped at the female a snarl on her face her pearly white teeth showing. Her fur crackled with electricity at her anger at this idiotic female. She would not escape now there was no way out. This female would be held captive as it would be to nice and merciful for the Mafia to let her go, and they didn't want to create a bad reputation for themselves as the merciful pack, oh no they were anything but that, they were the merciless pac.

[scrolly:h(197),w(410),sy] Scorch was very close to pissing himself laughing, how could he help it when this female Gaian was too damn funny? Her cold and emotionless face and mannerisms were so quirky that he simply was having a ball poking at her. He watched with amusement as she turned to leave, wondering which way to proceed would generate the most enjoyment. She wanted attention, but it seemed the the fire lupus that she was too pigheaded to admit it, Scorch could lend her a paw with that.
He was about to stop the trespasser when his lovely and most enchanting mate stepped on the scene, and it all became too much for the male. A splitting grin of welcome spread across his maw, and his voice rang out in a rich caress, "Well, aren't we in a pickle now trespasser. You have the pleasure, and privilege might I add, of meeting the most enriching Mafia member, and a personal favorite, Tor. I do hope you like your meat fried little missy." With that he burst into flames, allowing the deliciously scalding fire to ride over his own flesh, the caressing tongues licking at his most inner insanity. A disturbing grin flickered across his face as he winked at Tor to show her that it may be amusing to scare this frigid fish before getting down to business.
He started to advance slowly, cornering the Gaian between himself and Tor and stopping close enough for the female to really feel the heat, but far enough not to do any lasting damage. In an amused voice he continued on first addressing Tor, "How right you are my dear, then again you most often are. Now, about this sticky business of trespassing, surely you realize that you are now rather...stuck. So what shall it be? A lovely field trip to meet our adored leader, or a test to see how much you can stand the heat? Have I mentioned that the beautiful wolf that faces you is a rather skilled lightning lupus? Lets just say I wouldn't run if I were you..." His eyes blazed with joy, there was nothing he loved more then a good taunting, except for Tor of course. [/scrolly]

Braelyn had her inner thoughts confirmed when the second lupus, a female named Tor, decided to make her presence known. So, this pack was just as confident as she had believed it to be, especially by the way these two composed themselves. She expected the words to come from the female to sound as she had looked, and she was right about that half of it. All of the wolves on this land were crazy, to say the least. Perhaps it was just a basic way of thinking, something you caught once you made yourself a home here. However, it did not shake the Gaian in the slightest, and she was not afraid of the other two lupus, who bore elements of her weakness. Not much of a weakness in a place such as this, though. They would not only have to get through her scales to harm her, but if she managed to find water in her predicament...they were screwed.
She watched the male move slowly to corner her between him and the other wolf, Tor. It did not even cause her to blink her beautiful icy eyes nor change her emotionless demeanor. Nothing these wolves could do would surprise her in the slightest, as she had seen enough to determine that she was already to escape with ease. Of course, she would need to find a stream and by the tingling beginning in the tips of her scales, she could sense one nearby. Just through the bushes on the other side of the small clearing, the opposite of where Braelyn needed to go. By the sound of it, it was heading in the direction that she did need to go. She just needed to get to it first. It took her a moment to realize that the male was on fire, his whole body set up in flames. She had been right with her first guess after all: a fire lupus.
Braelyn wasn't in much of a pickle, as he put it. Fire did next to nothing to her in an environment like this, but lightning, as his mate had, was another story. Were she to make it to the stream, she would need to swim silently and very fast to escape it. Of course, she only needed to go downstream a little ways before she could jump out and lope the rest of the way out of the territory. If she was lucky, she'd be able to swim the whole way out of the territory and farther down the stream. It was an ingenious idea. If she were to get in the water, then the other two had no hopes of catching her, though the lightning posed a problem. It was a small one, something so miniscule that she could care less about it. Just as the male's fire, the female's lightning would also need to break past her stone hard scales.
As much as she wanted to fight the two and show them she was the bigger one, she had a feeling that it was not quite time to do such a thing. She was much larger (more bulk) than the both of them, as any Gaian outweighed a lupus, and she could take them easily. However, that was not her plan right now and she turned her body around. With a light snort that could be heard only by her, she stalked past the male with her head held high, showing them to take her to their leader. They had already confirmed what she wanted to know, however, and she planned on meeting the leader of her own accord now. Her only duty at that point would be to get away from them. It would not be a difficult thing on her behalf. She just had to play with their stupidity a little longer. The nine year old Gaian laughed in her head. Stupid wolves like them would fall for anything nowadays.
