Though he had no idea where Isabella had wandered off to, Kid didn't mind being left to watch the pups. Truth be told, he loved spending time with his illegitimate offspring. He was an obsessive, doting father. It was almost odd to see the necrophilliac cannibal acting acting truly kind and loving, for once not putting on an act, but Kid was a good father and he had every intention of raising his children right.
At the moment he was wrestling with his eldest son, Kitandren. The four month old pup had gotten hold of his ear and was tugging playfully. Kid, in turn, was shaking his head back and forth as he tried to free himself. A number of playful barks and growls filled the Clearing as they continued to tussle, enjoying the sort of quality time only a father and son could share.
The rest of the pups were... off somewhere. Now that they were older they had taken to wandering. So long as they always came back, Kid didn't mind all that much. With the fresh carcass of some trespassing lupus stationed closed by, he knew they would be back eventually. His pups never missed a feeding.

The Mafia, a pack renowned for trouble, a pack that Hazen truly should fit into but he unlike most would not behave as a proper member. Of course it would be fun to toy with them and mess with them, their home-land was an intriguing one yet at times it was a slight bit unbearable and humid. Oh the things he did just for a little bit of fun. At the moment he was looking for someone to torture, of course it would be a member of the Mafia seen as this was his new interest.
He walked slowly and calmly, he didn't change his appearance, something he was still struggling with but he did do his best to try and look like a sort of Lupus. He had been in the mafia territory for a while now and so hopefully he had acquired enough of its scent to seem like a new member.
He by sheer luck stumbled on a worn out path and his curiosity made him follow it. It was much easier to follow than the dense jungle, in the jungle he had to climb over under and through the strangest of things. He didn’t understand why or how the Mafia called it home but he supposed that the dense vegetation aided in... the darker side of things.
The path came to an end in a clearing and straight in front of him were a father and son duo roughing it. A sweet site but not one that held much of his interest. The father was a Sennyo, weak little creatures they were even if they did have the lifespan of a Lumus. He grinned at the carcass, a good site it was. Dead Lupuses were always a good site to see, it did confuse him somewhat that the lupus seemed to be a meal rather than a simple dead lupus. This would of course mean that the duo was carnivores, all the more fun for him. Though to admit it he was curious at the idea of been a carnivore, he was curious to the taste of wolf flesh... Maybe he would try it someday. He would confuse a wolf into killing itself or suffering... unfortunate circumstances and then eat. A promising concept.
“Good afternoon” He didn’t know whether it was afternoon or morning. He just knew that it was light. The jungle sky was hidden by the vegetation. Something he was still getting used to. Now was the time to see whether his Mafia costume sufficed. Either this wolf would attack him and he would flee or he would be accepted.

Riccarda bundled into the clearing, tripping and stumbling, with a yell. "Daddy!" she called, launching herself at her brother and father as they wrestled. She paused for a second, remembering her encounter with Ebony, then made herself forget, at least for now. She would enjoy this time with her father. It might be her last. She grinned and rolled over, her foot telling her to concede defeat. Her gaze alighted upon the dead lupus, lunch!, and she jumped to her feet and tripped towards it. She was about to tuck in when her philosophical moment forced its way into her mind. She paused, then smelt another wolf. The perfect excuse. She turned around. It wasn't somebody she recognised. "Who are you?" she called. Of course, Rica had an easier way of knowing such things. She opened her ears and strained for the noises of the insects and birds of the jungle. Well, he had Mafia scent.... she let out a sharp, questioning cry, and got the irritable answer from something that sounded like a toucan; no. Her hackles went up and she bared her teeth. "Who are you?" she asked again, a slight snarl in her voice. She was just a cub, but she was a Mafia cub, and braver than most. Her tail slashed through the air, ready for a fight. Then again... this other wolf was easily twice her size... she looked back at her daddy, unsure.
(sorry for short post and no table, I have to go...)

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,344,true] | [atrb=background,http://i54.tinypic.com/33xymox.png]A feminine cry brought an end to the father-son play fight. Kitandren's attention had been diverted, a cocky smirk crossing his maw as he turned to sprint towards his sister. There was something satisfying in the way she rolled right over, no force necessary to draw out submission. The action only served to stoke his young ego as he looked down at her with cruel eyes. "Giving up already, Ricca?" It was the sort of response that was supposed to get a rise out of her. Too bad his sister was easily distracted by the prospect of a nice meal.
Kid himself rolled his eyes, watching both of his children make their way to the corpse. It did him proud to see them eating his preferred flavor of meat. Wolf was the only creature he chose to eat, filling himself on various plants when a canine meal was scarce. Lazily he relined in spot Kit had left him, laying sphinx-like as he observed his young. While he looked relaxed, every sense of his was on guard. There wasn't a sight, scent, or sound that would escape his notice; he was an overprotective father and would stop at nothing to keep safe his children.
But that didn't mean he was above having his fun. Twin antennae twitched atop his head, picking up disturbances in the humidity. He knew there was a stranger in their midst long before his daughter's outburst. So long as he was aware, he was not threatened. After all, he was a Sennyo who called the Mafia his family. Given the frailty of his species, what he lacked in brawn he made up in cunning. And there were very few creature in this world that could match his mind.
"Now Riccarda," he gently chastised, raising to all fours. Casually he strode towards the stranger, stopping just in front of his daughter. This action was actually to hold her back, not to keep her out of harms way. After all, the stranger had presented no outright signs of being a threat (other than being in Mafia territory to begin with) and getting defensive was just not Kid's style. He was all about luring his victims into a false sense of security, and the minute the color spattered male had presented himself he had automatically been reduced to the title of prey. This would be a good lesson for his children as well, a lesson in the art of subtly. His gaze drifted from his daughter to the stranger as he spoke, charmingly unassuming smile creeping up his maw. "That's not how you treat a guest. Care to join us for lunch? Lupus is currently on the menu."
Speaking of the dead lupus, Kit was enjoying a nice piece of hip flesh, too engrossed in his meal to pay any attention to what was going on.

He watched the pups and father in silence, standing tall and silence. He sniffed at the scent in the air and studied the lupus in a bit more detail. He realised through the father’s play with his offspring that despite the mafia’s appearance from the outside inside they were just like any other pack. Something he could manipulate quite easily, he had done it before and he could do it again. He was honing his skills as a terror, something to be hated and feared. A puppy’s bedtime story to protect them from the world.
He would never let his plan loose into the world until he was sure the ball was rolling. This would take quite a bit of work which included a visit to every pack. An outrage in every pack. Though this might mean he needed to join them he was perfectly happy with doing it.
He chuckled at the other wolf, “I am considering joining this wonderful pack. The unfortunate thing is that you cannot find your alpha in this jungle.” He looked behind him at the jungle and grinned before looking back at the colourful Sennyo. Sennyo were weak species even if their lifespan was alike to his own.
He looked at the dead Lupus, he would be considered a cannibal if he accepted. Something other packs would fear even if it was normal out here. He looked at the Sennyo, his brow raising in an evil sort of grin, ”Sure”.

Riccarda stared at her father, then her mind paused and she realised that she shouldn't be getting so angry about protecting the pack which she was going to leave anyway. She sat down, still glaring slightly at the newcomer. Then an idea popped into her head. She almost laughed. She turned around on silent paws, looking at her brother, Kit, who was engrossed in his meal. Ghosting across the ground as best one could with a severe limp, she threw her weight into him from behind, trying to roll him over and batting his ears with her stronger paw playfully. She was never one to miss a good opportunity for a playfight, and he hadn't even been watching her- when he'd just beaten her! Didn't he know she liked revenge? She looked around as the other wolf mentioned not being able to find the alpha. "I could locate the Don," Riccarda said, putting emphasis on the rank's correct title, "in less than an instant. The animals tend to know where wolves are, and if they don't, it only takes something like a bird a few moments to find out. Lucky things have wings." She gave a slightly evil smile, testament to the fact that even mostly nice (ish) wolves enjoy a bit of teasing now and again, and returned to attempting to bash her brother.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,344,true] | [atrb=background,http://i54.tinypic.com/33xymox.png]Kit had always been the dominant one of the litter. As first born, naturally he believed it was his right. And because he was almost always found at his father's side, he learned quickly the art of subtle observation. And he would never let his gimpy sister get the best of him. She was a female and physically unfit. Chauvinism and prejudice were traits inherited from his grandfather and ones that currently controlled most of his thinking.
Waiting until the last possible second, he dropped the piece of meat he'd been chewing and gracefully swerved to face Riccarda. All his strength was put towards launching his counter attack, jaws outstretched menacingly as he tried to get a good hold of her. Maybe he was taking things a little too seriously as their chests clashed against each other. He was just about to bite her ear, insistent upon pinning her. But his runty sister was easily distracted.
He himself could care less about some stupid stranger. As far as he was concerned, he had nothing to gain from some lupus male. And he didn't like Ricca spilling their secrets, either. Perfect strangers did not need to know he could talk to animals. It was his power to use how he wanted, and often he used it to give him a leg up on his opponents (when he was not sadistically enjoying the screams emitted by squashing insects of course). His father had taught him all about giving too much information to the enemy.
Kit gave a warning growl to Ricca to tell her to shut up and hold her tongue. Then he turned his nose up and acted as if he had no idea what she was talking about. Of course, ignoring her gave her a chance to get the jump on him, and in a matter of minutes they were rolling about in the dirt again, play fight back in action. He would not quit until he had her pinned.
Kid too gave a sigh at his daughter's eagerness. She was a handful, that one, always running off on him and having to be tracked down. If he was to give all of his children superlative, she was definitely first in line for "most likely to get herself killed." She had always been an odd thinker compared to the rest of the litter. If not the result of talking to the wrong stranger, he feared that one day he would have to kill her himself. If she kept up her wandering ways, one day she would wander too far from home. Then, in compliance with Mafia law, she would be hunted down and murdered. Kid knew he would do the deed himself; she was his spawn and thus his responsibility.
But at the moment he had more important things to do than worry about his daughter's fate, like entertaining this stranger. Now that Ricca and Kit were occupied with each other, he could focus the majority of his attention on the Lumen (not that he was sure it was a lumen, but it was looking a little lackluster for a lupus). Of course, there was always one surefire way to find out. He marveled at the chance to play one of his beloved head games. It always amused him how superficial certain species could be.
"C'mon then, dahlin'," he cooed sweetly as he moved. In a matter of seconds he was much too close to the stranger, their pelts almost brushing as he circled the other male. Once behind him, he adjusted his course ever so slightly. Now as he moved forward the stranger would have to move as well if he did not wish to be touched. With a few nimble steps, he would guide the other towards the lupus carcass, innocent smile on his muzzle as he played the humble host. "You won't be disappointed. I find eating ones own species has a certain, delectable spice. I'm sure you'll find it most satisfying."
There. He'd just called the Lumen a Lupus, the species most hated by snobbish wish granters. While a lupus disguise may have been what he was going for, there was no telling how the male would react to being considered such a "lowly" species. And verbal confirmation of suspicion would not be needed. A suppressed growl, a twitch of the lip or eye, a hard swallow... There were plenty of subtle body cues that would betray the charade. Of course, Kid had a feeling he wouldn't need keen observation to figure this one out. The boy had already given away more information than was probably intended, admitting to being a trespasser despite to pose as an already accepted member.
Kid's voice was a playful whisper as he called that first bluff, still standing much too close for comfort. "Though I must say, coming this far without permission means you have a death wish. If you stick close to me, I won't let the others tear you apart. You don't want to end up dessert now do you?" His eyes were suggestive, grin playful as he offered the stranger asylum. Of course, what he had really meant was that he had just chosen his new toy. The rest of the mob would not kill this male because Kid already had plans to do so himself. He would play with the Lumen until he grew bored. And then, when least expected, he would deliver a quick death and ravish the corpse to his heart's content. It would surely be a more pleasant death than anyone else would give him. After all, the Sennyo loved his victims to death.

The girl seemed quite rough with her brother, strong minded too. He grinned at her attempts to hold down her brother even though he was stronger than her. If he were to have offspring he would want strong minded ones like that, his grin faded as she turned back to him. Of course the attention span needed work.
”And how would the animals be able to help little one?” He chuckled at the small fea pup, he most certainly could not talk to animals and he doubted the puppy could either. It was most likely the imagination that ruled that phrase. The imagination was a wonderful thing; it was something he had plenty of. She was a good pup indeed. Maybe he would find a way to kidnap her or something like that when he left this territory.... then again it would most likely not be a good idea. But he would think on it. Maybe she would be willing, even if she was a hybrid she would be a good tool.
His mind turned from the young fea as her father began to speak, the male closed in on Hazen. He seemed to be trying to threaten Hazen or something along those lines, Hazen could not work it out. He breathed in, forcing himself not to clench up as the wolf suggested he was Lumen. Maybe it was time to turn this game around.
”Aw honey its only the first date, didn’t know you wanted that” He grinned back at the wolf. Hazen was a rather nasty individual but there were puppies around and he wasn’t going to get too rough with his words. He stepped towards the carcass and sniffed at it. Without a hesitation he took a bit and swallowed. ”You are right, unique flavour that. And i am sure I can look after myself, I have until now have I not?” he grinned at the other wolf. The meat did taste rather interesting, but not something he would acquire by himself.
This was a wolf he would enjoy toying with, stealing his pup would be the epitome of his game but he doubted that would be possible. The little runt would run right back to her home soon as he took his eyes off of her, even if it was a good idea to begin with.
