Song of Farewell (Sunchaser/Jade)

She was in lupine form, avoiding the water, and gazing around sadly with her copper flecked, silver eyes. Tears welled up in them, as she was almost about to regret saying goodbye to this place she had called home. However, Nelio was waiting for her in the Cove, expecting her to come back to him so they could start their traveling entertainment group. She never spent her time in the swamp anyways, it was mostly spent at the Cove with the salt water rather than the fresh water of the swamp. It bothered her that she was leaving, but it was for a good cause. At least, she hoped it was for a good cause. Nonetheless, she was set on it. Tawny carefully picked her way up the roots of a mangrove tree and sat in the gnarled bed it created. Here she went...she was about to call for her sister and for her Alphess. She was about to say goodbye to it all. She began having second thoughts in that instant. They buzzed around in her head like incessant flies or bees that wanted to do nothing but annoy her. Tears pressed on harder and harder, wanting her to break and run to Nelio, telling him she couldn't do it. Then, she thought of her life in the swamp, how she never did anything here. How she was of no use to anyone. She was nothing but a fisherman for them, meant for nothing but hunting. She was supposed to be a teacher. The thought angered her and she threw her head back, calling out to them: 'Sunchaser, my Alphess, and Jade, my dear sister, come to me please! There is sad new I wish to share with you!'

Sunchaser had just said goodbye to Nelio and now she was being called agian. She rose a brow and snorted a bit before moving to the camp. At the rate she was going, she would be called by everyone. Currently she was sad but she was also a little pissed that she let others just call and shed come. However that was the alphess's job. So here she was, trotting up to Tawny.

She nodded her head to the female and sat down, her tail moving slowly from side to side as thoughts went around and around in her head. She tilted hre head a bit to the female as he blue orbs focused on her. "What do you wish to talk about Tawny?"

She had been thinking about Tawny, she had sensed that she no longer wanted to stay in the clan and had also seen her leaving the pack lands repeatedly, heading towards the cove and returning with a few unfamiliar scents on her. So when a howl echoed through the swamp she lifted her tail and with a great slap headed towards the howl she knew to be her sister's. She soon saw her sisters brown fur among the tree roots aswell as her Alphess Sunchaser sitting in front of her. She gave a yip notifying the two of her prescence as she dragged herself from the water and came to lay in front of her sister. And before she could stop it a flow of questions burst from her mouth "What is it Tawny? Are you alright? Where have you been?" she turned and gave a slight nod to Sunchaser acknowledging her prescence aswell to be polite. [/scrolly]

For a long while as she waited, she believed no one was going to come, that she would need to leave without saying goodbye to Sunchaser...and even Jade. The thoughts of this brought tears to the young female's eyes and she blinked them back, not wanting to make a fool of herself for crying, though she had reason to. She was leaving her pack behind and her sister behind as well. The least she could do was say goodbye, but there was no one to say goodbye to. It broke her heart that she would need to leave without talking to a single soul and it was an awful pain in her chest. She lowered her head sadly and made a move to turn around and leave, finding there was nothing else she could do to help it. However, Sunchaser made her appearance just in time. She spoke in response to her call, what she wished to talk about. As she stared at the female, the tears came back and her words caught in her throat. For a moment she couldn't speak, she couldn't find the words to tell her that she was leaving. Leaving hurt, but she was strong and she needed to appear that way. She calmed her breathing and pulled back the tears, but her head still pounded and her chest still ached. She sighed and lifted her gaze to the Alphess's. "I am leaving the Clan to offer my assistance to Nelio. He desperately needs my help with something and there has been nothing for me to do in the last several months. This was the only thing I needed to do, say goodbye, and it's by far the hardest part of all of this." At least she was telling her of her leave. Tawny's ears perked at a yip of greeting and she turned to see Jade in the water, dragging herself out and laying at her sister's feet. She was happy at first, but when her questions came, it was almost too much to bear. The female kept herself composed and strong. She would not let her sadness take an effect on how she looked in front of others. She lied when she told Sunchaser saying goodbye to her was the hardest part. No, there was something harder than that: saying goodbye to her sister. She bit her tongue lightly and looked sadly at Jade. The exhaustion was clear in her voice as the Teacher spoke, showing she had fretted greatly over this situation before it even happened. "I'm sorry, Jade... I'm fine, but I'm leaving the Clan." She leaned down and nipped her sister's ear gently. "I love you, sister." [/scrolly]

Sunchaser nodded her head to Jade before turning to Tawny. She hid a smile at all the words coming out of Jades mouth to her sister. She tilted her head and listened to the female. She sighed and nodded her head. She figured that more would go with Nelio. And now she knew one who was. She sighed softly and moved forward to the female, nuzzling her slightly where the tears had been.

“Do not cry Tawny. There are those that are not meant for this life and I understand that. Just promise to visit when you can.” She smiled and licked the female between the ears like a mother would. She turned to Jade, and nuzzled her as well. She would wait till the two talked it out but she figured they needed some time together. “I will be out of ear shot if you talk normaly. If you shout ill be here.” She smiled and moved off to said distance, laying down and basking in the sun.
