Braelyn had been aware of the Lumen's presence and cursed for her sudden appearance. She had been hidden in the shadows, watching the female lupus and plotting to kill her. Sneaking up behind her with evil intentions as usual and simply pushing her over the edge. Oh, how she would have loved to watched the lupus squirm as she fell to her death on the shores below. It was much too far even for the strong, old Gaian to survive. There were treacherous sharp rocks beneath that cove. If anyone were to hit them, they would tear through skin and puncture the things inside of it. The thought of such things made her almost happy. Well, it was as close to happy as the crazy bitch would ever get.
However, that had occurred days beforehand. She had left the scene, feeling the Lumen's indirect interference with her plot an awful thing. It angered her, yes, but she pushed it aside. She had returned to the Key Cliffs the following day to see if there was anyone else there for her to push off the edge and watch squirm as they fell to the ground and died a horrible death. She would have been content watching a wolf bleed out on the rocks and sands, calling up to her for help. She would have simply sat there and grinned wickedly down at the wolf, her icy blue eyes sparkling with joy as the wolf died before her.
Unfortunately for Braelyn, there were no wolves on the edge of the cliffs for her to push over. It upset her, yes, but there was something of more importance that captured her attention. It must have been the sole reason that lupus had been on the cliffs. The sunset was beautiful, even the crazy Gaian could see that. The way the yellow-orange ball of fire began to rest on the horizon and changed the ocean from blue to pretty shades of pink. It was captivating and for a moment she lost herself in her memories. She remembered how she would spend evenings with Nodin and watch the sunset. She missed her dear brother.
