General OOC Name:Somatra Name: Daedalus Alias: nope, and don't you dare unless you feel like loosing a tail. Species: Sennyo Gender: Male Age: 98 Pack: Loner Rank: n/a
Physical Height: 48" Weight: 26 lbs Appearance: Daedalus has willowy fur that is a lovely periwinkle blue with dark green stockings on all feet. He has a minty blue green underbelly, and the color also covers the tip of his tail, the insides of his ears, a thin strip barely visible between the dark green and light blue on his nose and a curious smudge over each eyelid. To finish off his droll appearance Daedalus has a bright strip of yellow that runs directly under each eye. He was born with one forest green eye and one navy blue eye, making him a bit odd to stare at. This sennyo is often slinking about in almost a cat like fashion, however, when he deems it safe to walk without caution he moves in a dainty trot full of grace and calm confidence. Daedalus's voice is quite sleek and irregularly deep for one of his physical stature and he rarely raises it. There are few times when slight airs of mockery are not heard when he speaks for he considers himself to be rather superior in intelligence then most.
Other: He has larger wings then most Sennyo for they are the wings of the Birdwing Butterfly. Has emoticon and invisibility powers.
Mental Strengths: Your wolf's strengths (3-5 minimum)
Intelligence: By far his most strong trait Daedalus is remarkably intelligent, using cunning as opposed to brute force to secure his survival through the many years of his life. If only he would use it for the good of others instead of his own amusement.
Beauty: Sennyo being of the naturally intriguing appearance and this Sennyo possessing some distinct unique qualities, Daedalus does not have much difficulty attracting attention to himself, though he does so quite deliberately even if he remains in denial of such actions.
Patience: If there is one thing Daedalus has perfected is his almost flawless patience therefor enabling him to irritate other without feeling the slightest out of sorts.
Understanding:Daedalus has developed a keen understanding of the thought processes and the hows and whys behind such thoughts; in simpler terms he knows what might make others tick. This strength may be much to his advantage, but it is a real nuissance for others.
Humor: A most peculiar strength to finish with as one would think Daedalus might be an irritating git, however this is not always the case. This odd Sennyo possesses a great knack at dry humor that has often won him others' approval. When he is not mocking them that is of course.
Faith in Oneself: Daedalus really only has faith in one person; himself. In that respect he seldom fails at a task or venture for he has so much faith that failure simply does not exist as an option.
Persistent: Once this fellow latches onto an idea or a goal he will work tirelessly to achieve it; after all he has the time. Life is but a mystery to solve and to him any goal he sets is attainable.
Self Disciplined/directed: Daedalus works on his own and prefers it as such for others hinder him with their "inferior" intelligence. He is extremely disciplined in that he has had ample time to establish order and organization in his life. He accounts for bumps in the road ahead of time and certainly has developed excellent ways of dealing with them.
Weaknesses:
Fighting Abilities: Ah yes, a weakness indeed, though not one of tragic proportions for Daedalus as he does not much value brute strength. All the same it renders him vulnerable to larger and stronger wolves, though he can hold his own against smaller or same sized wolves, not that there are many of that description.
Pride: Daedalus is very proud, he simply adores his intelligence and reminding others about their deficiency. To say the least this gets him into many sticky situations, all of which he either manages to flee, or simply out smart his way out.
Shallow: Yes, an intelligent and shallow wolf, perhaps an odd combination but a just description of Daedalus. He is all too aware of his wondrous looks and certainly enjoys to flaunt them, once again much to the irritation of others. In fact, when in his self worshiping moods his shallow thoughts cancel out his understanding of others completely.
Uncooperative: Oh my, how can I explain the ways in which Daedalus disagrees with what most wolves believe in, if not simply to be the disagreeing party. And don't get him started on politics! This prevents him from forming close friends as he eventually will disagree with whatever they say and not cooperate with others in general.
Obsessive: To say the least! Not only is this odd ball obsessed with his unethical practices, but he can easily become obsessed and quite a stalker should he find a particularly beautiful female.
Apathetic: Daedalus in the poster boy of apathy; he simply doesn't care about others. His feelings are of great value, but others emotions and tribulations simply are meaningless to him. It a curious sort of apathy, for he does not go out of his way to create pain or misery, it seems embedded into his character. This being said he is not aware of other's emotions enough to be able to tell if he is hurting their feelings or not.
Selfish: You have yet to meet a such a selfish wolf as Daedalus as he is not aware of others or their needs. Whether this is by choice or not it is hard to tell as he does not associate long enough with others for them to tell; just how he prefers it.
Ostentatious: Daedalus enjoys putting on a show and receiving glory, whether it be his to claim or not. He believes he deserves simply the best and despite a lack of title holds himself in high esteem, also expecting others to do so as well.
Note: might add more when I think of them.
Personality: Daedalus is a cunning, amusing, as well as irritating sort of fellow. Complex as his flaws cancel out his strengths and vice versa with a knack for confusing others profusely. Though he does not boast any fanciful notion of voices in his head he certainly has his paws full with his own thoughts. Piercing intelligence allows him to float through life without much incident, while looks and a somewhat dry humor allow him to enjoy company until he grows bored and moves one. His pride doesn't stand for insults, but his patience allows him to retort without loosing his cool. However, do pay attention to his words for when he does loose patience a severe storm of tongue lashings follows rapidly.
With the makings of a great scholar he chooses to focus his attention on making fun of others and their short comings in witty and rudely posh manners. He finds death a curious matter and would love to experiment, were he only strong enough to do so, a henchman would serve him well. Adept in the matters of dissection he has had the good fortune of learning what can cause others almost unbearable amounts of pain, could he only catch his victims. His morbid infatuations are characterized by a fascination with death, pain and testing how far the barrier for survival can be pushed when others are faced with life threatening situations.
With a careless disposal of other's emotion he actually revels in his own, believing that all should worship and appease him for his grand superiority. He has loved many times, certainly enjoyed the process and is quite looking forward to his next encounter, being an individual quick to gain an obsession with any female of particular beauty. It is only in these circumstances that he cares not for intelligence.
Despite his dark interests, and when he is not mocking others, he comes across as a cheerful chap with a pleasant disposition. This is the appearance of being harmless, which he uses to his pleasure. A sunny exterior with dark clouds certainly describes his typical disposition on an ordinary day. But make no mistake, he is no walk in the park...
History:
What can one say? Tragic, despairing, horrid, depressing? No, not for Daedalus...In fact he would describe his life as the epidemic of boring with a hint secrecy. Born to lovely parents as the only surviving pup of two dear Daedalus was given everything he so desired, including an extensive education. Raised in a mixed species pack he quickly learned that though he was far superior in intelligence and looks, other were simply alright despite their differences. He was always and odd character, but he got along fairly well with the others, often coming back to the den bored with the lack of intelligent interaction.
Therefor it was not long before he took more of an interest in conversing with adults, which was all more then fine until he met Achar, a Sennyo friend of the family. Achar was not an evil sort of individual, but he did have certain uncontrollable interests in topics but a few could ever approach, such as an interest in death and the afterlife. His theories were well founded if not a bit eccentric, but it sparked Daedalus's interest and he became the older wolf's apprentice.
The pair set out in the world after a solemn goodbye to Daedalus's parents and a promise to entertain a safe journey. The path was well defined with the intention of discovering the ultimate meaning to life. However, the older Sennyo quickly disintegrated and reverted to his fascination of said loss of life. In essence dear Daedalus spent many years under the tutelage of a logically mad wolf. Logically in the way that his theories were still well founded, but much darker then ever before.
Then Achar contracted a fatal diseased that greatly reduced their travels. Achar did not grow sad with his loss of mobility, instead he grew jubilant for he would now be able to test all his theories. And so it was without remorse that Daedalus killed his tutor and mentor, accepting with joy his friend's offer to use his remains to enhance Daedalus' knowledge of the wolf's anatomy.
To make a long story short Daedalus followed his teacher's footsteps to a large degree, continually enhancing his knowledge until he deemed his theories solid enough to present to a pack. Poor Daedalus, the discoveries were not well received. In fact he was charged with murder and given a sentence of insanity. This did not sit well with our little scholar for he knew himself to be well founded in logical deductions and reality, so he fled to keep his interests and discoveries to himself.
Along the beaten path he met many lovely and beautiful females, falling in love with each of them in turn only to ever have one truly share his feelings (not that he was aware the others did not for he pursued them with a fervor only attributed to his work). However she met an untimely death when Daedalus fell out of love for her and in love for another that surpassed her beauty, a shame indeed. So this leaves our studious fellow on a continuous path to discovery and education.

So I figure the answer to this question might be no, but someone once told me it never hurts to ask nicely...I have 10 Swalleena posts in ic, with many more to come and I also have her character down pat (I do love my miss sad) but am practically jumping to use Daedalus before I loose my muse for him in order to ensure his character becomes solid. Is there any way at all that he could be approved before the 15 posts? Anyways, just wanted to test the theory of that person's logic,
Thanks for entertaining the notion, Som

Unfortunately Som, if we start making exceptions we have to give exceptions for everyone. I'm sure you can truck out 5 more posts, it shouldn't take too long.

Thank you Art, I had thought as much anyways. And you are most definitively right about that, I don't know why the heck I did not even think about that... Appreciate it, Som

-grins widely- Ok, I have managed to create 15 well written (at least in my own opinion of course) Swalleena posts and I have even managed to give her a unique type of sense of humour, didn't see that one coming frankly. So yes, did you guys need links to the posts?
