[scrolly:h(390),w(390), sy] The wind whistled quietly through her feathers, lifting her lightly-built body higher into the endless blue sheet. Her white pelt glowed brightly as the sun’s rays reflected blindingly off of it. Her soft sunset eyes were hidden beneath closed lids, containing her overwhelming joy of flight. The way the wind flowed through her feathery pelt, it made her shiver with excitement.
The white keiyou snapped open her eyes as she caught sight of a cloud nearby. Se tucked her wings in slightly to gain speed, diving into the clouds and swooping through with great control. The clouds floated right around her aerodynamic body, and she could feel the air glide smoothly over her pelt. Ah, the joys of flying. She smiled when she thought of her mother, her spirit flying close beside her. Zephyr truly loved her mother, and she could feel her presence protecting her in every situation.
She extended her wings out farther, and angled them slightly so she could fall in a spiral at a gradually descending height. Her amber eyes scanned the shoreline, and the salty sea air hit her tongue. She smiled softly and contently chuckled to herself. She caught no sort of movement along the shore and in a split second decision she tucked all her appendages close to her body. The keiyou stretched out her neck and hurdled towards the ocean at a rapidly increasing speed. The rate at which the wind was pressing around her body seemed to give her a slight burn at the edge of her feathers, but it could’ve been just her imagination.
At the last possible second she spread her wings and abruptly changed velocity of her motion. She glided over the water, lowering a paw so it skimmed the surface. It left a fine trail behind it, and her heart beat rapidly with happiness. She closed the distant on the shore and tucked in her wings as she rolled onto the sand. She jumped up gracefully, nd shoot the sand out of her pelt.
Glancing around, she walked daintily toward a tall stone jutting out over the ocean. She crawled up on top of that with some flapping of her angelic wings and laid down panting, lifting her head to watch the horizon of the noon sky. She was relatively cool; the sunlight bounced off her pelt like water on a lilypad. She laid her head down, relaxing to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the shore, the birds squawking quietly, the wind ruffling through her fur…
