The glorious day dawned dark and cloudy, perfect in Scorch's opinion and he breathed in the thick air of the jungle, the musty smell of vegetation delightful. It was finally mutiny time and the male was bursting with pride, he had a mate, followers and soon a new pack and all his ambitions were being realized. It was time to conquer and over throw the weak and rise the strong to power
Lifting his head to the sky he let out a strong and loud commanding call that would start the dawn of a new era. He called, "Come chosen few, it is time! Face me if you dare dear mafia leaders and come joins us fellow mafia members to witness the rise of new power!" There was a stark air of confidence that did not speak of cockiness but rather a cold determination and a deliberate drive flowing through his howl and he stood his ground, no smile upon his face as he waited.
He knew he would have to speak well, and was prepared to shed blood to gain the title of Don, but it was more then a title to him. It was a responsibility that he owed to the pack as he had pledged his alliance to them, and so would he hold his alliance and try to salvage the broken pieces that were rapidly crumbling. He needed this for his mate, and for their future heirs and he needed it for his own peace of mind. Today he stood strong and tall, tail raised in a show of power and blue eyes piercing the depths of the jungle in search of the first wolves.

[scrolly:h(110),w(300),sy,c()]The blackened sky was a pleasing sight, not just for rain purposes. If the Gaian got her paws on some water that day without having to go looking for a stream or pool in the jungle, then everything would be perfect to her. However, those clouds were not releasing their rain, and probably would not do so for awhile. This was not a good thing to her, as she loved the water so greatly it wasn't even funny. It was cool in the jungle and certainly damp, but the clouds themselves represented something else, something...foreboding. Not to her, but to others, those who did not know what was about to occur in the Mafia today.
Today was the day the Mafia leaders would step down and bow before Scorch. Braelyn's ice blue eyes narrowed as she stared out at nothing from her resting place beneath a thick fern. She had yet to stay in the pack dens, as she did not feel like the others needed to know of her presence just yet, other than those whom already did. Lawson, Tor, and Scorch were the only ones who knew of her presence here. She was sure the others did as well, having smelled her all throughout the territory, but she was a Mafia wolf, so no one did anything about it. A day like this was all too perfect for their uprising.
A wicked grin split out on her face when she heard Scorch's strong call into the sky, beckoning them, the leaders, and the pack. It was finally time. She had been sitting around idly that entire day just waiting for him to call the other three of them. She was sure his mate would be the first one there, but she was already on her compact and webbed feet, making her way to where he had called from. The Commons, the place the pack basically lived. Her multi-toned silver scales glittered, the alternating shades of blue on her spots and stripes doing so even more. She licked her chops repeatedly, subconsciously wishing for bloodshed. This would be fun.
Braelyn emerged from the brush behind Scorch and approached silently. Silence was an incredible thing coming from her. Most would think it wasn't possible because of her massively long and thick tail, which would be seen as something of a burden. It was more of a weapon, in reality. The Gaian appeared on the Lupus's left side, saying nothing as she stood silently, gazing out across the clearing to see she had been the first one there. Surprising, she thought his mate would appear first. Guess not. Her icy gaze flickered to Scorch's face and she said nothing at the clear confidence he had that this would work. She returned to looking out at the Commons, waiting for something to kill. [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(410),sy] Lawson paced restlessly around the jungle, waiting and listening. He hadn't met any other members besides Tor, Braelyn and Scorch, but that suited him fine. A howl resonated throughout the jungle, and Lawson tensed, listening with great anticipation before a grin twisted his would-be-handsome features, including his large scar. His orange eyes lit with a passion and drive that he dodn't even know had been there and his claws were out, his bobbed tail that he was so proud of wagging with glee, his formidable horns held high with pride. It is time! his voice hissed in joy, and Lawson bared his large fangs and ran swiftly to Scorch and the other trusted few.
It wasn't that he wanted to be first or last or anything really, he was just looking forward to a good fight and the power that he so craved. His large paws thudded along until he reached Scorch and Braelyn. He padded over to stand beside Braelyn on the left, fairly certain Scorch would want his mate to be on his right. "Greetings, fellow wolves." The sky was drak and grey, a prefect atmosphere that matched the excited drum of his cold heart. It was indeed time. He winked at Braelyn, deciding to forget all past misgivings: They were indeed a team now, and although he wasn't her friend, or anyone's really, he would respect her and Tor and Scorch.
No, Lawson would never have any friends or loved ones, and he accepted this as his lonely life. He grinned, his orange eyes eerily rolling around: But who needs friends when you have power? He thought, and chuckled low. [/scrolly]

Tor had still been sleeping when Scorch had left but had awoken to his howl then started to head off towards the clearing she knew he would be waiting in and probably most of the others. On her way there she stumbled upon a jackalope in the middle of her path and with a quick swipe of a paw and a swift bite to the neck she killed it then picked it up and carried it with her to the clearing. She parted the ferns and made her way in with the jackalope in her mouth. It seemed the others were already there and waiting for her but she dismissed it, it didn't bother her much.
She walked over to Scorch and dropped the jackalope at his feet. "Brought you something, it's not much but itll do, the animal was stupid enough to walk right into me." She snorted then walked over to sit beside Scorch leaning into him excitement making her fur spark and eyes glow and if you looked into them you could probably swear the lightning resided in their yellow depths.

ooc: As there has been no response I believe the general consensus is that we are to push on. Cy, if you still wanted to join, or for anyone else, feel free to do so otherwise I suppose we shall revert back to the original plan of assuming the alphas have run away. Let me know if you wish to change something.
Scorch smiled at his lovely mate, taking a bite from the jackaloppe and savoring the lovely juicy flesh. He pushed the carcass to his mate to indicate that they might share and licked the dripping blood of his maw. "Why thank you my dear, you shouldn't have. I hope you have slept well, though it looks as though our work will be easier after all." He stared out at the darkened forest, expecting to see an alpha jump out and scream boo. Of course no such thing occurred, and Scorch was entirely too disappointed by this, he did so enjoy facing superiors and dragging them down while looking them in the eye.
However, a darkened shape did prowl in the near distance, the same cruelly amused smile on the specter's face. A moue of disgust crossed Scorch's face as the smell of rotting flesh traveled on the breeze and his eyes caught the movement of hundreds of maggot squirming among the splintered bones. Come come now Scorch you coward, do something about this already. I do grow tired of waiting, perhaps I shall help you out? The specter said as he grew nearer, floating in between Braelyn and Lawson as he stood but a hair away. Up until this point Scorch had though the apparition was limited to simply talking, but it seemed that the more powerful Scorch became the more powerful the specter became and so Scorch could do nothing but watch helplessly as the Specter flowed through him.
In that same instant he felt something dark latch onto a part of him that he always kept tightly controlled and that famine for destruction and misery took a hold of his senses, enthralling him with the sweet taste of savage desires. Now he grew angry, livid that no one had deemed it wise to show themselves and the spirit that had a hold of his control took over, causing him to snarl savagely into the air, the sound ripping into the forest as a fearsome howl of rage split forth from his throat, the sound loud even for his size of wolf. "This pack is now under a new reign, answer to Scorch and his followers or leave for we will hunt you down." His eyes narrowed in disapproval for if there was anything he disliked it was a show of cowardice. No weakness would be tolerated.
Despite this show of strength the specter did not leave, holding fast to his mind as it directed him forward with renewed and cold determination. "You all assume your ranks now, from this day forward I expect a cold approach to executing orders, an impassive front to dealing with members and a thirst to bring this pack to power. As no one has deemed it wise to present them self we will have to hunt them down and ensure their alliance. You shall attempt to do this with words first, however should this fail use whatever means you deem necessary." This left the matter of the leaders, and though they had not shown Scorch could not be sure they had fled.
"I will hunt through the lands to ensure that our fallen leaders have fled, as Donna I would request you aid me in this venture. Should they choose to fight their life is up to you." A frosty look had glazed over his eyes, and they vaguely resembled that of the empty yet hateful ones of the specter. Inside himself Scorch was desperately trying to free his mind from the iron grasp of the apparition, but was not having much luck. The specter forced him to let out a cruel and heartless chuckle of heinous delight, a chilling sound even to his own ears and not his own laugh in the least. It was the sound of pure bliss, the sound of an individual that had finally found the solution to all his problems and that of a specter that had discovered how to gain control.
"New members must meet three requirements; strength, intelligence and total submission to our reign. When they pledge their alliance they also pledge their soul for all they possess will belong to Tor and I. This pack will offer them the privilege of being part of a new revolution and rise to power as well as the freedom to embrace that which everyone else seeks to destroy. Are we all in accordance or perhaps do you have ought else to add?" With those final words spoken the specter left Scorch, his gleeful laughter now ringing only for Scorch's ears. Thus leaving the male to deal with his follower's reactions.

When his mate finally showed up, she watched the rabbit be dropped at his feet and felt a slight expression of displeasure cross over her face. She was not really an eater of rabbit and, just because of her physique and such, she had obviously preferred some type of aquatic animal to constantly eat. Yes, she enjoyed the occasional deer or something. Her icy blue eyes narrowed some as she stared at them, wracking her brain at the concept of love. These wolves were obviously just as insane as she was, so she could not come to understand how they would even begin to love one another. That seemed like an impossible thing to her, but it wasn't like she really cared. There were only so many things the female cared about, and this was not one of them. She returned her gaze to looking out at the clearing.
His rant was long and rather boring to her, so she half-heartedly listened to him. She cared not for the new rule and things like that. However, the words of taking care of the leaders should they come back and fight certainly interested her. She wanted a good fight and maybe getting it out of them. A wicked smile crossed her lips, showing her fangs brightly. She wanted a fight out of someone, and she was certainly ready to shed some blood. Blood...such a tasty thing the crimson liquid was, and it was a rather pleasing thing to some people, especially those in the Mafia from what she had heard. This pack was full of a bunch of blood thirsty freaks and that was something she could live with. Now, with such a high rank at her paws, she wondered what she would do with it. She waited longer, waiting for someone else to say something.
Strength, intelligence, and total submission to their reign. She could live with that. Her massive tail slithered back and forth behind her, and she still did not sit down. She made no other movement as her icy cold gaze was fixated upon the clearing below. She outsized every wolf up there, though only Lawson by a little bit. There wasn't much she could do about that and she certainly had the urge to just push someone off the edge of the little ledge they were standing upon. Not kill anyone, just push them off to see what would happen. At this point, doing it to Scorch or Tor would probably get her killed in any way possible, but pushing Lawson would be funnier. There wouldn't be much he could do about it. She shook her head slightly, the wicked grin remaining there, but saying or doing nothing. She went back to waiting for another outburst.
