The soft red Lyxxus, called Verboten, knew very well that it was a very strange affinity, to like Cael wolves. She knew very also that she had about a zero percent chance of ever having one fall in love with her, so she’d long given up the institution of coming to the ocean—she used to do this as a cub, trying to find a Cael—and it had become a point of her life she wished no longer to dwell upon. It reminded her of the rare and bittersweet freedom away from her estranged birth pack—the one she was downgraded from the Alpha’s child to Scapegoat. Ah, yes, how she’d sneak out here with her friend, the one who turned out to only hate her, the Lyxxus called Zee. Zee hadn’t liked Verboten, only pretended to so she could befriend the cub and keep her under secret twenty-four hour surveillance. Zee had taken Verboten out to the Ocean, and at the shores she always would brighten up, no longer having to keep up the fake profile she kept up in the Pack—motherly but always letting you get your way—and became like a child herself, completely free and wild. –And, Verboten found out, hated Verboten and was loyal only to the female she, Verboten, hated.
Those times were over, but still, of course, held some meaning for the she-wolf Lyxxus.
Ears rotating to take in the sounds of crashing waves, breaking surf, the back-flow of water as the waves sucked themselves back, yanking up silt and small pebbles. The ridge Verboten stood upon was soon abandoned, as she strode forwards, towards the cerulean waters. At the shore, where the waves lapped at her paws, the Lyxxus growled and backed up, saddened. Nothing had happened, and once again the feeling of dejection settled over her like a dark, ominous cloud. Turning away from the ocean, she snarled wordlessly, releasing the tightness she never knew she had –the taught feeling she didn’t feel until she released it. Slicing at the sand, flinging a pawful away as she dug her claws in; then looking at the small hole she’d created. The hole, of course, was about only an inch deep, with four definable lines that she distinguished as her own claws relatively easily. Growling, she glared at the hole, infuriated at everything: herself, Zee, her parents, her tormenters who took over her pack, and Cael’s—how they were so amazing, with tails that they could grow and loose; with their entire world down there in the depths of the waters; how she could never, ever in a million years go down there, though she wanted to…

[scrolly:h(500), w(340),sy] The male yagi panted as he trotted along the shoreline. Hopefully she would be around? After all she was his first friend he had ever made. Sniffing the sand tediously Crow hadn't realized that he ran square into another wolf. How genius. He lost his balance and fell backwards... shaking his head and large ram-like horns back and forth irritatedly. The poor yagi then fell to his side, his head much heavier than he remembered. Now embarrassed, the young wolf rubbed his face with his golden colored paws.
"Oh, I'm such a klutz sometimes...oh! Hai there! I'm sorry! Did I run into you?! I thought I hit my head on one of those annoying palm trees again... I'm Crow... nice to meet ya." he quickly regained his composure, tail wagging wildly and tongue lolling out of his maw and his large fangs glistening with saliva. Then he paused in thought again, what was he doing? Oh right!
"You wouldn't happen to have run into a small green-ish lookin' female cael? Have you?" he then added in on that note. "She's pretty easy to spot, she's kinda...deaf..." he didn't like the way he stated that, but it was the truth. It didn't matter to Crow though, he loved her for who she was... to him she was perfect the way she was. [/scrolly]

ooc: um, I know she is not a cael but is it still alright if I join? If not let me know and POOF I shall disappear taking with me this post.
Swalleena simply loved the ocean, the humidity and the mist were perfect elements for her species and if she could have she would have lived near the vast body of water. Alas no pack lived in the lands bordering the sea and as the whisp could not defend herself she needed the protection of a pack to keep herself safe. However this did not mean she could not indulge in frequent visitations. Besides, it seemed as though many other wolves agglomerated to the land, making the cove a popular place to meet others.
Along the sand she drifted as a puff of smoke on the breeze, reveling in the simple bliss of the salty air blowing through her as she glided weightlessly along. Moving rapidly she remained in a dozy state, near to sleep but not yet unconscious, the aves a soothing lullaby to her ears. At peace with herself and nature th children's nurse sighed in pleasure. It was not such a bad thing to be alone, in fact as an introvert she gained most of her energy from quiet solitude.
However it was not long before she came upon two wolves, the larger of the two evidently a Yagi by it's massive horns. Stopping a few short paws away she kept the tips of her body in smoke form, the air blowing it about as she contemplated the two wolves in front of her. It would be in her best interest to keep moving, but perhaps the pair was friendly? Smiling somewhat reservedly she gracefully approached them, her long and thin legs effortlessly supporting her small frame. Inclining her head in a polite manner she said, "Good day sir and madam, may I present myself as Swalleena? I do hope the day finds you both in good spirits." A dignified greeting if ever there was one...

ooc;; It's fine! I just thought there might be a Cael who wanted to join, and there might be one near the ocean. ;D
Verboten stumbled, something or someone had just walked into her. For a moment, hope fluttered like a white little butterfly in her heart, could it be...? And she turned her head, swung it 'round, only to feel something crush that little flutter of hope, stomp it down and then grind it into nothing. Ears flew back, tails drooped, and she grimaced. Damn it. Shaking herself out, she looked at the other wolf fully in the face. He looked sheepish- no pun intended... okay maybe a little...- and he spoke.
"Oh, I'm such a klutz sometimes...oh! Hai there! I'm sorry! Did I run into you?! I thought I hit my head on one of those annoying palm trees again... I'm Crow... nice to meet ya."
|
"Uh... it's fine," She was studying his wicked ram-like antlers, er, horns; as she did so, fear trickled down her spine. If those had hit me right... I'd be a shish-kebab! A shudder passed through her, her eyes grew wide and she gulped. And his saber teeth... Verboten's eyes flicked around, she took a step or two back, head drawn back over her shoulders, neck exposed, front legs out ahead of her. It was a somewhat crouched position, the type you might see on a horse when their reins are jerked back and they have to stop fast. "You wouldn't happen to have run into a small green-ish lookin' female cael? Have you? She's pretty easy to spot, she's kinda...deaf..." "I-I-I c-c-can't s-say I ha-have..." She stuttered, shaking slightly. But he didn't look like he wanted to attack her, so instead, she slowly pulled herself up into a regular sitting position. Her tails flared out, like a peacock's, and they gave the appearance of a sunburst, a flash of red. She smiled, tilted her head. "C-cael you said? W-would" Verboten swallowed, regained her composure and began again, "Would you know where the Cael's are..." It sounded strange and sort of dumb, even to her own ears. Something flashed in Verboten's peripheral vision, and she turned her head. A softly white wolf with wings walked- no, floated- towards them, and Verboten thought of mist. "Good day sir and madam, may I present myself as Swalleena? I do hope the day finds you both in good spirits." She sounded dignified, held herself highly, and Verboten smiled. "Good spirits? -Why yes, I dare say I am in them. I am Verboten, Swalleena,"[/blockquote]

[scrolly:h(500), w(340),sy] "Oh yeah... plenty of Cael around here. I met two already. Tor and Mari... they are way cool! You should meet them sometime!" he grinned, then fell backwards again in surprise. Wow! Talk about talent! He didn't know other wolves could have multiple tails! Wicked awesome!
"H-how did you do that?! I mean... grow all them tails!" he blinked in astonishment. Crow had never seen nor met a Lyxxus before. Man were those tails a sight for sore eyes. He never understood why the other Yagi docked there tails, he liked his long. And it seems that they must have been born with more than one too! Man was this girl lucky!
Then, before he could even finish how amazing she appeared, his thoughts were cut off by yet another wolf that was like a ghost almost! Wow, who is this wolf? Swalleena? That's a cool name, he continued to barrage himself with thoughts. Then realized he must've been spaced out since it seemed he didn't even notice that the wispy wolf was addressing them.
"Oh, hai! I'm Crow! I like your name, it sounds fun to say. Can I call you Swally? Heh, you talk funny... what's in good spirits? I would say I have a spirit and that I am in a good mood..." Crow sat up again and wagged his tail furiously in excitement. He liked meeting new wolves, it usually meant new friends. [/scrolly]

A curious pair indeed, thought Swalleena as she watched the lyxxus and the yagi. Verboten did seem quite pleasant which suited her just fine and despite a high level of agitation she also like the energy about Crow. He seemed to be young and a youthful approach to life was certainly one that could provide great education and learning opportunities as well as help to maintain one's own youth. Yes, she could see now that they were not of a dangerous nature and she sat down keeping the graceful arch of her neck straight, but at least she was more at ease then in flight mode.
She nodded her head at Verboten, pleasantly responding in a soft voice, "Well I am certainly pleased to make your acquaintance Verboten. That is certainly a delightful thing to hear, and from where abouts do you both travel from? It does appear that this is a rather common meeting area, though it is no wonder why, the environment is simply spectacular, wouldn't you agree?" She fluffed her white wings, the sun catching the bruised violet undertones as the breeze flowed through the feathers, a relaxing feeling.
Turning her emerald eyes to Crow she noted the length of the Yagi's tail, a curious sight to see on the species in question. However she cared not to question the matter as what was simply was. Smiling in amusement she attempted to explain her odd way of talking, "Oh it simply implies that I am asking you how do you do. Nothing more nothing less dear. You must pardon my ridiculous speech, these things tend to be ingrained after much use." She gave him a wink to show that despite her perhaps eloquent way of talking she was truly more of a humble female at heart.
"Do call me that if you'd prefer, I am not fussy. And why thank you, I do enjoy the sound of it I suppose. What formidable horns you have, does it get heavy to carry such a great defense upon your head?" She shifted her head to gaze at the dignified looking horns, knowing that when he aged a bit more he would be a formidable foe to contend with indeed, Yagi were formidable to contend with on most occasions due to their stubborn natures, but this one did seem more agreeable.

"Oh yeah... plenty of Cael around here. I met two already. Tor and Mari... they are way cool! You should meet them sometime!"
"Really? Where do they live?" She asked excitedly, eyes widening and herself shivering with excitement. A smile spread across her face. Her tails flared out again, undulating rapidly.
"H-how did you do that?! I mean... grow all them tails!"
"Huh...? Oh, my tails. I just... have them? They split every year." The lyxxus replied, guessing that the Yagi didn't know the species she was. "Lyxxi tails do that, like how you Yagi have those cool horns. It's something that just happens." This wolf, Crow, he was turning out to be pleasenter then she'd expected and she felt a little flutter of hope. A future ally or friendship, perhaps? Crow went on to ask Swalleena if he could call her 'Swally' which though Verboten found odd she, Swalleena, didn't mind. She held a refined posture, and it made her seem like a natural leader...

"Quite, quite spectacular. Magical almost, am I right? It feels like anything could happen here, and I suppose it did, hm?" Verboten smiled, teeth gleaming. Her tails continued to undulate.

[scrolly:h(500), w(340),sy] The young yagi nodded in agreement with Swally "Yeah, very heavy and hard to use..." as he face planted into the sand. Quickly he sat back up and shook it from his pelt. The yagi laughed lightly a bit as he panted. Then it was Boten's turn to speak.
"Uhm, I haven't seen Oomara around lately and she doesn't like for people to intrude on her home without permission so I don't know about her. But Tor is really cool! She wanders around here a bit, she likes to sleep near the beach..." so much boundless energy going through his head.
"I guess that makes sense Boten..." he added in thinking about how he had horns and she had tails and how cael had fish halfs. But what did Swally have? Now he had to know! "I really wish I were a Cael sometimes... I envy their abilities...but besides that... hey swally what kind of wolf are you? And what can you do?!" he stood now, tail wagging furiously.
[[Sorry I had little muse with Crow lately and I tend to forget where I psot with im xD]] [/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(197),w(410),sy] OOC: Heard you were looking for some Caels? Mind if I join?
The sky was full of stars twinkling merrily, and even if there was no moon, it was a beautiful night. The sea nightly breeze ruffled the waves playfully, and below this magical scenery a dark form rushed through the water. Golden eyes scanned the bottom of the ocean, darting playfully after a fish here or there, admiring a pretty shell or interesting crab.
Raynor was enjoying his alone time, and the rush of the salty water over his taut muscles, the sound his powerful gold tail made as it propelled him through the waters. To any normal wolves, the water may be a dark, terrifying place, but the sea was the fighter's friend, his lifelong companion. It never asked questions, or caused him trouble, but provided him with his own personal underwater world: And it was breath-taking. He dived high, barking with pure joy, the sound musical and serene to the night. Twisting in the air, he gracefully dove back in with a perfect splash.
He knew he was far from the Alliance's lands, but he'd started out early evening and knew he'd easily be back come morning for his patrolling as pack fighter. Years of brutally hard training had made his land-kegs, as he called them, secure, stable and stronger than most Cael, so walking and even running was no trouble to him. That was the one thing he was most thankful for that his old pack had given him, before they banished him of course. However, he dispelled the memory with a flick of his tail: Tonight was a night for tranquility, and magic.
Soon he came close to the shore, and spotted three wolves, all of different species. He smiled: It pleased him to see wolves that had no race hatred. He had no idea that they were actually talking about Cael's, if he had he might have used more discrepancy. However, The Cael did not, and so he decided to put on a small show for the small group of wolves, hopefully without scaring them.
He swam closer and closer, the waves rippling smoothly around his large body, and dived out of the water, droplets of water flying here and there as he exploded out, not far away from the trio. His tail switched back to his legs mid-air, which still brought a twinge of pain, but training had made him more resistant to such things. He landed with a dull thud on the wet sand, and shook himself, the golden highlights in his pelt twinkling. Rivulets of water still ran down his sleek, midnight black fur, but he wore a smile on his handsome face and curiosity in his golden eyes as he walked up to the group.
"Hello, friends. How are you all on this lovely autumn night? I apologize if I am intruding, but I could not pass up the opportunity of some friendly conversation. I am Raynor, but you may call me Ray if you like. It's a pleasure to meet you all." His voice was deep, but held a musical quality to it none the less. [/scrolly]
