All around her were the scents of her brothers and sisters, and those larger Yagi pups..although their scents were dwindling ever since they had scattered to sleep somewhere else. She had heard from their mutterings that most of the time they were with their father, Ahote. Which she shrugged, didn’t bother her own bit, meant more of the bigger bottom den for herself..even though she had to share it with six others. Two of them of course were her siblings, Eo, and Morgan, and even though she didn’t mind them or think bad of them, she did not like sharing with the other four.
The one named Olyvar managed to get on her nerves and intrigue her at the same time. Even though they were all young their personalities, definite and true were beginning to show themselves. Luparia was rather enjoying her place in the pack, she knew females had their own tree, and didn’t have to be around males, or even each other, she knew that they were provided for in practically any means and this made the small female very happy. For she was a hybrid and she deserved the best. She knew her body and the bodies of her siblings were better, superior and she had no problem telling others or showing them with her sense of over-confidence.
It a crucial time for Avalon’s pups now, for with seven of them, and having already been semi-depleted from Ahote’s pups hers would have to be weaned early, like the Yagi pups. Luparia had tasted meat, and even in it’s regurgitated form, she had taken a liking to it. Of course all the better that she didn’t actually have to do anything to get it. It like all things in her mind would and should be given to her as though she was a prize figure. Her fur was always fluffed, and she took it upon herself to find the most comfortable groove in the den to sleep. Content with letting her eyes adjust she didn’t bother to creep out of the den, she padded right out to the front of the home tree and lay down. Oh yes the sun rose and fell on this little lady’s mood. [/scrolly]

His teeth were hooked tightly within the still-warm flesh of the massive beast, neck craning awkwardly somewhat as he attempted to pull it over to the kill pile for the females, which had begun to get lower with the coming winter. It was still fall, so he had made the attempt to catch as many large deer that he could, though there weren't many at all. When winter did come, they could at least go out and find caribou or elk that would be wandering in large groups. For the moment, that would have to wait, for he needed to focus on keeping the pack healthy. That was more important at the moment. Sometimes, he wondered if he tried too hard, since he had never been a part of a pack before Ahote had accepted him into the Knights. He liked it here. The weather was decent and the pack structure was fantastic, not to mention the terrain considering how cold it could get.
Alucio finally managed to push the doe into the pile where the rest of the kill was kept and he felt satisfied with his catch. He shook out his pelt, ridding it of the morning dew that had stuck to it when he had dragged the deer through the woods. His feathers were slightly damp, which he did not mind, for the sun peering through the trees would warm and dry him soon enough. He stretched out his limbs and sat himself down, proceeding to groom his dark brown and gold fur. He had gotten up early that morning, when it was still dim out, and couldn't resist the urge to get out and hunt something. He would have settled for a simple flight patrol around the territory, but he couldn't resist going after the few deer that dotted the grassy plains beneath him. They had been much too tantalizing for his taste, but he was glad he had caught one.
His wintery eyes then caught something of interest, something that stuck out slightly from the surroundings. A greenish pelt, it looked like, and he narrowed his eyes only to find that the fluff ball had the stubs of horns on its head. Alucio stood from his sitting place and padded over silently, wondering what it was. He smiled when he found a pup, knowing it must have been one of Avalon's. This little one was definitely a hybrid, meaning it wasn't one of Ahote's three. "Morning, little one. What brings you out here without your mother or father?" His tone was not scolding, as it probably should have been, for most wolves did not like pups wandering from the den until they were old enough or without someone else there to protect them. It was a natural thing, really, but he was not the type to yell.

She wouldn’t have minded Eo coming around more, seeing as they shared the same blood, seemingly from appearance, and the slightly same attitude she had taken a liking for the other female. As for the others she did not know quite what to think beyond the fact that most of them were colored oddly, and they liked to tumble around, and half of them seemed to be in constant battle for superiority. As far as Luparia was concerned, she didn’t have to fight for her birth right. She was superior from the time she arrived and no mock battle or fight amongst the others would prove anything different to her.
Her pearl like spots were coming in with the rest of her pelt, already marking her as a female of high maintenance. Before she knew it the small nubs on her head would begin to glow with a magick all their own and she would come into her own. But for now she was petulant, fussy creature with an eye for anything to do. It was not long before she heard a landing and dragging noise going in to the female’s tree and she saw the winged male drag a deer into the den for the females to eat, and then seat himself outside to apparently groom himself. Luparia did a mental check of her own pelt to make sure she felt every soft hair in her coat seemed to be in place. She wouldn’t address anyone looking like a fluffed out puff of well fur.
Seeing as he was a male, and didn’t seem like he had anything else planned she decided to take full advantage of her female status. She intended to make him entertain her, take her somewhere after all, he had wings didn’t he? He was the perfect traveling companion, or mode of transportation however you wanted to put it. Before she could order him to do that however he spoke to her. Little one? Pfffft. She wrinkled her nose in distaste, “My name is Luparia.” As to his next statement she rolled her eyes slightly, her facial expressions looked odd on her face considering she was so young. “My mother is probably still inside with the rest of the brood, and who knows where my father is, I don’t even know who he is.”
Little did the princess know her father was the alpha of the pack, lest she gain an even bigger head than she had now, but she still made her demands. “I think you should take me somewhere.” It was right borderline along with a demand, and a serious suggestion coming from such a small bodied pup, she was leaner than the Yagi pups, but her evening out had happened a bit quicker than her adopted siblings luckily for her..[/scrolly]

Alucio smiled gently when her nose wrinkled in clear dislike for something that he had said. Perhaps it had to do with him calling her a "little one". Over time, he had met many pups, and he had remembered that some of them were far beyond their years and wanted to be treated as adults, not as children. However, they would still need to be treated as children until they had earned the right and the respect of others, and were grown up enough to do so. It took time and experience within that time to get those things, but telling pups that was not so easy. They all had some type of superiority complex, it seemed, but in all truth, they were just innocent and young. They had yet to go through the things that adults had, they were not as knowledgeable nor as well equipped for the outer world, but he would not tell them that.
"Luparia is a lovely name. It's a pleasure to meet you." He bowed low, flaying his wings slightly as he always did when greeting someone in his usual respectful manner. The Keiyou stood himself back to his normal height and settled his wings lightly at his sides again. "My name is Alucio." There was a certain kindness in his eyes that not only pertained to the fact that she was a female, but that she was a pup as well. Granted, he showed everyone respect and would only provoke a fight out of them if they certainly deserved it or if he believed it was truly necessary. If there was any one thing that he had learned from his foster mother Lyxxus, Rylee, it was to respect those around you and you will receive the same from them, especially females, because they were more precious than most believed.
Of course, he was not sure if the same went for pups.
He frowned when he heard that she did not know who her father was, and he could relate to that, for he never knew his. Nor did he ever know his mother. "I am sure you love your mother very much, then. You are lucky to have her. I never knew my real mother or my father either. My mother vanished when I was a few days old, and a kind old Lyxxus raised me instead. I'm glad to at least have had a mother of some sort, even if she wasn't my real one." He felt somewhat embarrassed for a moment, realizing he had trailed off there as he did occasionally. When conversations came to family matters, then he could not help himself when he began talking. One word would just form into another and he would go off rambling in a blur of sentences. This was one of the few things that he was not oblivious to.
He rose an eyebrow at her statement. It was clearly not a demand, more like a suggestion than anything else, but he was rather curious as to where it was that he was supposed to be taking her. However, he wondered if that would be a good idea, all things considered. She was still a young pup and him taking her somewhere without the permission of the mother would not be a good thing. Just as he had met many pups before, he had also met territorial mothers, and they could be rather terrifying at times. "Now, where would I be taking you this early in the morning? Are you sure your mother would approve of such a thing?" He had a feeling within his chest that the pup would say something along the lines that her mother would be fine with it and that he needn't worry, but there was still a chance that things could go wrong.

She already had distanced herself from her siblings, believing her hybrid blood gave her the clear advantage over her siblings in a big way. Luparia had no idea that she did not know all that the world had to teach her, and most of those lessons would be a rather painful experience for the little spoiled female. But most likely she would learn to treat those circumstances with a special attitude to twist them into something she could use. She was not born without brains, which would be the reason she was most likely so annoyed with her mother.
“Hmmm” She nodded when he said her name was beautiful, that would be one thing she could be grateful, at least she hadn’t ended up with some of the names her siblings had. Cherry, Olyvar? She snorted slightly just thinking about the other’s names. They were just..insulting to her. When he bowed low the little female might as well have puffed out with pleasure. Yes, he should bow to her should he? When he bothered to introduce himself she just looked at him, why did she need to know his name? He was just going to take her somewhere and entertain her wasn’t he? Transports didn’t have names did they? Her eyes slightly clouded over as she tried to exceed her intellectual grasp with her reach. Even though she thought she knew everything she still had questions.
When he began talking, her puffiness of pride smoothed out slightly, and her eyes became rather cold. “She’s my mother, no more, no less.” She wasn’t sure if she loved her mother, her mother could be very annoying, and she had stopped sleeping cuddled into her stomach a while ago now. But maybe that was because she was tired of fighting six other bodies to get close. Competition was not something she intended to indulge, she was above that. Her only thought about his sad story was that it was good for him he loved the lyxxus that raised him. He could count himself lucky, but she didn’t have much to say otherwise. “I think it should be somewhere fun, and somewhere I haven’t been, after all aren’t males supposed to take females places?” She had him there, on a big technicality for the pack but as to the comment about her mother she said, “She’s probably too busy with my six siblings to notice, she would probably like the break…” Her somber eyes met the male in what seemed to be a challenge for him not to do as she asked..[/scrolly]

Someplace fun now? He was rather sure that just flying in itself would enthrall the small female, but she had been full of surprises so far. She seemed more like an adult than a child, which was rather odd with most puppies. Last time he checked, they were supposed to be endless balls of energy bouncing off the walls and driving every other wolf insane. Well, that was how he had seen the other pups react, especially at that meeting. However, he had seen one or two remain calm and simply sit to listen. A smile played with his maw slightly. Her mind wracked, wondering if he should just take the pup for a small trip around the territory and then bring her right back to where they started. The last thing he wanted was to get in trouble or to cause worry to the parents that their daughter had gone missing. Well, parent. She had stated that she didn't know her father.
Alucio gave the female a smile, "Well...all right. Here, get on and hold on tight." He lowered himself to the ground and spread out his wings flat, giving her room to clamber onto his back. This was perhaps the craziest thing he had done in a very long time, but he was sure that at one point he had done worse in his life. He would be getting old here soon, being seven years of age and all. Sighing, his wintery eyes turned to the small figure, awaiting for her to climb up so he could stand and take off from the trees. He would make her happy and do as she said, but he would get her back as soon as he could just to avoid any messes that could come of it. As worrisome as he could be, he was rather sure he had good reason to. Besides, it wasn't every day that some random pup approached someone and asked for a ride somewhere.

Then again, in a pack which basically reaffirmed the little female’s views on the world she might do just fine. As long as Eo and Morrie were around for her to torment or have common company. Yes Luparia had a soft side, if only for her siblings, and even some of the lupus siblings she had had earned a measure of respect, like Olyvar. She may not have liked or agreed with his name but he, like she knew he was meant to be something special, and where others might have considered him arrogant, Luparia simply considered him to be as close to her level as he could be.
She could see him debating with himself over the whole ordeal, but she knew, she just knew deep in her heart that she would win this fight. She would get the right to fly, just as she had heard Adraxxia, and even Aroh and Syver had gotten to, and she would get it by demanding it, not by getting hurt or pouting. She simply would say, and the older male would do, and it was just that simple. A slow, almost attractive smile curled on her lips as she held the male’s gaze, she might have taken advantage of all the perks for females, but she was by far, very far from being a submissive female who would do whatever anyone wanted. When he dipped low, and invited her to climb on his pack she could not help herself and quickly scampered over to him.
She jumped and missed, landing slightly on his wing, not enough to hurt, but enough to hurt her pride. With a hiss of frustration she righted herself, and made it onto his back, with a few claw marks here and there for balance. Once she was placed comfortably in between his wings she pawed at his neck lightly, “Let’s go!” Her voice took on it’s puppy quality once more, geared for adventure and too excited to try to act grown up. Her light green forest pelt was fluffier than usual thanks to the colder weather, but even her teal pearls were shining and flushed with excitement as she looked upward to the sky and then she leaned in tight to him, and waited for the ride to begin.
