[scrolly:h(308), w(340),sy] She padded along the rocks, it was late fall, but the morning sun shone brightly and there was no chilly breeze in sight. After watching a spectacular sunset, Kasmira had decided to go on a short walk before returning to Seth and her's den. Cozy and warm, it had plenty of room for their new family, due to arrive any day. She beamed with happiness, her thick purple fur looking a little ragged, but her bright green eyes bright with joy and daydreams.
The grass was yellowing, and the birds were still chirping, although much less than in the summer months. The rocks were peaceful in the early morning... Then suddenly, a sharp pain bloomed, and an odd feeling descended over her: It was finally time.... She panted as the pains continued, and settled down on the ground, her back against a sturdy white rock. Nervous, anxious, stressed, excited and a little scared, the pains continued and she waited them out, breathing deeply. It was happening all so fast, in a matter of minutes it might be done: She could feel them coming...
Where was Seth? She glanced frantically around, and howled long into the sky: It was early true, but not early enough to wake everyone up, she hoped. The howl sounded stressed, she wanted, no, needed her mate. She was asking for him to come, because the pups wouldn't wait long... The pains were getting closer together now, and she panted harder now, her breathing ragged: It was a wonderful and yet terrible feeling, she was so confused and wanted someone to be there with her, and most of all Seth, her handsome Keiyou mate...[/scrolly]

Cresent had been taking a mental break from the sitting for a while, it took a bit to decide to do this, but thought she would be gone for just a minute, its fine. She looked around at anything, and heard a howl in distress. Her ears perked up and started running towards the source.
The leaves crepitated as Cresent stepped on them, getting closer and closer to the wolf, when she finally spotted a...purple wolf? Cresent stopped and studied the wolf, her purple coat and black facial markings. She then realized the task at hand, to figure out why this wolf was so stressed.
Cresent looked at the wolf, and found no visible injuries. She finally figured it out, this wolf must be birthing. Cresent gently patted the wolf on the head and grinned at the fact of a new pup or pups in the pack, more young ones to sit! Cresent shaked her head and said softly, "I am Cresent, a sitter of this pack, it is a pleasure to meet you." She sighed and continued. "Tell me, how close are the pains, and about how long have you felt them?"
Cresent thought if she could figure out this, she could figure out if she would have enough time to try to get help from any wolves in the pack who didn't hear this distress call, especially the mate. Cresent settled herself next to the wolf and hoped that the newborn or newborns would be healthy, and that the wolf birthing them would be okay afterwords.

The den was a bit chilly as Seth entered, he sniffed at the floor once or twice and came to the conclusion that Kas hadn’t arrived for the night. He grinned to himself and went to sit outside the den to wait for her, it was getting late and so it would be no time before she returned. As he sat down he yawned, stretching his wings and then he was caught short. His body immediately tensed as he heard her howl and a dark look crossed her face. What wolf was enough of a fool to harm his female? What fool would be willing to bear his wrath.
Without much thought he leapt into the air, tucking his legs against his body as he sped towards where the howl had come from. Powerful flaps sent him forward and his tail guided the flight. Before he knew it he was above her, he circled once. Obviously the wolf next to her was threatening her, if the wolf had gone so far as to harm Kas he would be unforgiving.
He dove and landed with a thump, his whole form dark and a growl forming deep in his throat. ”Move” he said through gritted teeth as he approached, this wolf had no right to threaten his mate. Of course the fact that Kas was in labour did not cross his mind, nor did the fact that this wolf was attempting to help.

[scrolly:h(308), w(340),sy] The lupus smiled, or more grimaced, at the friendly and helpful lyxxus, and answered in a breath: "Oooooh.... They're coming fast!" Her sides heaving, it was quite a sight. She introduced herself in between contractions: "Hello, I'm Kasmira." It was shorter than her usual, more relaxed intros, but it was a different situation entirely. It was with a sigh of relief that she saw Seth come, but then he acted rather rudely to her helpful new friend.
She glared at him, and scolded: "Seth! She's just come to help me." Her green eyes were flashing, she was a determined little she-wolf, especially this morning. It didn't cross her mind that he didn't know she was not being attacked, and she was too flustered to think about much anyways. Still, she was glad he was here and licked him on the maw. However, before she could add anything else, it was the time.
Out came a bundle of fur, who looked identical to herself, with all the same markings, except for a small pair of wings too. She grinned at Seth: "He's a male! We'll call him... Thorn." Next was another male, with deep purple fur and the same dark brown as Seth, with cute little wings. "He'll be ... Wystar." She smiled at the two of them, she was sure Seth would be okay with the names, they could change them if he liked, later on. Next was a bundle of blue and green, another male, and she barked excitedly: "He's Luke!" Last, but not least, an adorable little yellow, white and green female: "Oh, my little Daffodil..." she cooed, and she settled them near to feed.
She smiled happily at Seth, green eyes drooping, and promptly fell asleep for a small nap.

[scrolly:h(575), w(340),sy]
It was late in the day, about to get dark. The sun was setting and it was a rather beautiful day. Smiling a little she trotted on, looking forward to a good night sleep and possibly seeing some of her friends and family. Just then she heard a distressed howl echo out through the trees filling the colourful sky with the desperate noise. It was Kasmiras howl! Zippora would recognize it anywhere.
She didn’t stop to think of the possibilities or reasons why Kasmira would make such a howl – she would find out when she got to her, which was her first priority. With no further thought she leaped into the air, the smile on face fading, turning into a pure look of determination. She sprinted across the land as fast as she possibly could, and ran for minutes without slowing down. She was a great distance away from where Kasmira was residing but with a few more hard minutes on her legs she reached Kasmira.
Another wolf was standing over her but before Zippora could go jump on the wolf that was possibly hurting Kasmira, Seth, Kasmiras’ mate, beat her to it. However, Kasmira then told Seth off. It was so much for Zippora to take in she stood at the trees for a split second, dumbstruck. She couldn’t make sense of this scenario. She took up her sprint again and halfway to Kasmira, a small ball of fur popped out of the moaning Kasmira. She was giving birth! Zippora realized. This time though, she didn’t stop, she simply pushed forward faster and was at Kasmira side in an instant. Three more quickly popped out, Kasmira giving them all lovely names.
“Oh Kasmira!” Zippora cried out of pure happiness. She licked the top of her younger sisters head, but realized that worn out Kasmira was already asleep. Zipporas heart sunk, as she realized she was too late. She wasn’t by her sisters’ side while she was giving birth. A small tear dropped from her eye and landed on Kasmiras’ head. However saddened she was though, she had to pull herself back together. She was going to be there when Kasmira woke up, happy as ever for her sister.
She gathered up her strength and laid a blanket of warmth around Kasmira and her pups, sure to keep them warm until Kasmira woke up. Then Zippora, exhausted herself, lay down beside Kasmira, gave Seth and the other wolf an acknowledging glance, and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep beside Kasmira and her new born pups.

Seth frowned when Kasmira spoke, rather upset that she had not thanked him for been protective but he didn’t let it show. Only when she spoke next did he understand what was happening. He hovered around protectively, wanting to be closer to her but afraid to. The one time that he did dare approach Zippora appeared out of nowhere and claimed his spot next to his mate. He could feel the warmth the wolf had created and was momentarily worried that it might be to warm for the newborns but then he brushed the thought away. It was almost winter and the pup’s fur wasn’t as thick as his own. They would be fine.
While the two females slept he debated between going to lie with them or just watching over from the distance and eventually the latter one. He didn’t know Zippora that well, not to mention he didn’t even know whether she liked him or not.
He simply walked around them for a while and flew a bit, waiting impatiently. But still feeling somewhat sidelined. His pups had just been born, he was a father... and he hadn’t really been involved. Of course he didn’t blame Kas for it, rather himself for not being here sooner.

Cresent knew that the birthing was close, but not so close that it would happen almost suddenly. Then again she didn't know when the contractions began, so she couldn't estimate how long it would take. She grinned and studied the new pups, four of them? Oh, so many new possibilities, and they all have little wings! So cute! She thought.
Cresent loved pups and wanted to make sure everyone else knew that. "Oh, Kasmira," She said slowly, the wolf was in pain and didn't say her name too clearly to Cresent, so she wanted to make sure she said it right. "Your little pups are so...cute!" She bursted out in happiness. Even if the new mother was sleeping, she wanted to tell her anyways. Maybe her subconscious would catch it.
Cresent smiled and saw that a red wolf was sleeping next to Kasmira, she was too caught up in the new pups that she didn't even notice. She also didn't notice that another wolf, a winged one, was also nearby. "Umm...hello...Seth, is it? Well, I wish you luck with your pups, hopefully none of them will be too mischievous," She said.
Cresent sighed and laid down, and looked at the pups again. Even if they were newborns, she thought, I'll still watch over them, another pair of eyes will just ensure more safety for the little ones.

[scrolly:h(308), w(340),sy] Kasmira awoke soon after her short power nap: Her green eyes already bright and peppy, any remnants from the birth or any lingering pain was cleared, because she herself was healer. She noticed Zippora was also sleeping beside her, which was nice, it was something her and Zip hadn't done in a long time... However, Seth was her mate, and she did want some alone time with him too. She called softly to him, love in her eyes. "We're parents now, Seth..." Of course, she was stating the obvious, but she was too happy to care anyways.
She grinned at Cresent, and at Zippora, and finally at the four colorful bundles. "Are you okay with the names, love? The names, they just sorta... Popped out at me I guess, I'm sorry if I didn't include you enough, I got a little excited." she smiled sheepishly at him. She'd been thinking of names for weeks, but hadn't officially decided until she saw what they looked like.
She suddenly remembered when he had rushed in, and ordered Cresent to move... Her eyes dawned with an idea: He'd thought she was in danger of course! That made sense now, but when she was giving birth she'd been focused on more important facts at the time. She smiled at him now: "And thank you for trying to protect me, my hero." She chuckled affectionately. It was good to know he'd always be there for her, as she would be there for him.[/scrolly]
