"Speaking"
The day was cold and there were some traces of frost everywhere. Crunching sounds echoed around the large forest as Ácélan moved heavily towards the bright opening. Most of his time in this forest was quite dim, with the trees' branches blocking most of the chilly sunlight. He blinked as the whiteness of the light hit him squarely in the face; it must be midday and frost was certainly everywhere. The vast lake in front of him was magnificent. He did not think he had ever seen a lake as large and beautiful as this one; it reflected the white sun and sky perfectly. He sat down, allowed his icy blue eyes to adjust to the sudden brightness and watched the majestic lake lying steadily in front of him. This must be worth the dull travels he did if this was the end. Ácélan had travelled for a long while and found nothing to satisfy his needs. Of course, there were some occasional females but nothing that had attracted him. He had not felt any desire to settle until he reached this lakeshore, and now that he was here, he knew it would be his home.
He had no home for a such long time so this feeling was rather odd. But pleasant. It was as if he had finally found what he was seeking for his entire life. The black lupus dropped his body gently onto the icy ground with his eyes still on the great lake. He then wondered if there was a pack living here... The scent confirmed this and he started to consider joining it. It wouldn't be as bad as the previous one. That was a... Well, he had no choice; he was born into it. Now that he had left his birth pack he had the freedom to choose. Eh. He would check if it had anything good to offer, but if not... Ha, he would just stay a loner and be a bother for that pack. Ácélan had no intention of leaving this grand place. He debated whether to move and find a wolf or stay and allow them to find him. First one would show respect towards the pack and second one would not... be as honourable as the first one. He twitched his ears as he reached his decision; they would find him. He was feeling too comfortable lying here, gazing around the wondrous landscape. Besides he would be a nice surprise for the pack, especially for the females. He chuckled and lowered his head to his massive paws.

"Speaking" The Queen walked through her wondrous kingdom, at ease among the frosted beauty that had greeted her eyes and covered her pelt as she strolled. Her patrolling had brought her to the edges of the lake and as she had reached the crest of a hill Keinvarii had paused to observe the male that walked without trouble through her lands. A quiet frown of disapproval flashed in her gem blue eyes, what wolf deemed himself of enough value to walk among the Accord lands without permission? Hackles raised ever so slightly she continued to watch the wolf move, noting his calmly confident movements and the way the day reflected the cold blue highlights in his black fur. What did he want with their pack, surely he could smell the scent of other wolves?
Moving with a quiet confidence down the crest she gave a sharp bark to alert the fellow that he was no longer alone. This was the safe grounds of her pack, where all were supposed to live without fear of heedless intruders and it bothered her greatly to see the stranger so easily disturbing this balance. Prepared to defend what was rightfully hers without abandon she assumed a strong posture that although it did not seek to cower left no room for assumed weakness. Her thick fur was caressed by the wintry breeze that blue off the lake and her sharp and bright eyes contrasted vividly with her duller pelt.
When she spoke she spoke with a peaceful authority, this was her land and she knew it, but sharp words had never served much purpose in the past. Wryly she commented, "Good day stranger, what prompts a wolf to penetrate the very heart of a pack's territory with such little reserve?" Her eyes remained alert and trained on his face to watch for any tell tale signs of danger, but there was no fear in them, only a distinct sense of proprietary. The male was built to last, with his muscles easily visible through his own thick and dark pelt, but it was his frosted eyes that struck Keinvarii as the most distinctive feature to this wolf. Cold and bright they reflected the frost that had turned this ordinarily lush and green land into a blue and sparkling world of freezing wonder.
Keeping her face without great emotion she wondered if this wolf was a lupus as well, so many seemed drawn to the pack for unspoken reasons, almost a calling in many ways. Her voice rose again, and though it was quiet it was powerful, rigging out with clear definition, "You speak to the Queen of the Accord, Keinvarii. I would place forth a welcome, however as you have already moved so deep into the territory such an expression would not be as heartfelt. You have the benefit of the doubt though, in that I can accord you this token." She stopped, the silence of the land embracing her ears as the whispers of the lake and the tinkling of breaking ice in the trees whispered in her ear.

"Speaking" Despite the icy grip of coldness, Ácélan felt his eyelids kept dropping. The serenity of the lake and its surroundings were starting to fill the black lupus with a wondrous feeling. He was satisfied with the area so for the first time in ages he felt like he could finally get some rest. Even thought he knew he should appear presentable for any possible pack member, Ácélan allowed himself to fall deeper and deeper into slumber. It was first time in ages that he felt a heavy burden of being a wandering loner vanishing from his back. It felt like he could do anything now. He felt much lighter and this surprised him. He had never thought that the burden was so heavy. For a moment he felt a small jolt of fear; what if it would return? He knew he would not be able to take it now that he had been freed. He snorted faintly as if this would get rid of his bothersome thoughts. Now he should worry about the pack and what they could offer him. Well, he would have to wait for a while. After all what were the chances that they run into him this soon? With this thought he finally was drifting off into the dreamland.
But a sharp sound disrupted his sleep. He raised his head suddenly and looked around almost wildly. It took a moment for him to recognise that the sound was a bark and to match the sound to a green wolf nearby. He felt like snapping at her when he saw her quiet authority; she must be one of those high ranked wolves. He smiled tiredly. She was a high ranked and, most importantly, pretty female. Nice. He noticed a hint of alertness and suspiciousness in her voice when she spoke. He was at the heart of the territory? Well, he couldn't possibly know that, could he? No, it was a lie. He twitched his ears when he remembered scenting a strong musk scent of the pack borders. Not wanting to appear weak, he stood up and saw that the female was almost as tall as he was. "Apologies, dear. I was so interested in this beautiful forest." He smiled a toothed grin and walked up to her. "Now I can see that this isn't the only beautiful thing here." He glanced at the lake as he spoke but it was quite obvious that he meant her.
He wrinkled his nose at her cold voice. So cold. Sure he might appear as if he was trespassing but was there any need for her to be so cold to him? Him? He shook his head as silence overlapped the two wolves. He knew he might appear so... big with his strong muscles and icy eyes but he didn't have the ugly mug of a wolf that meant evil. But when he decided to overlook the coldness of her voice he laughed a little. Queen? A beautiful queen. "A queen, dear? Queen Keinvarii, it's a pleasure to meet a such alluring royalty." As he bowed, his icy eyes glinted with an interest. "Ácélan at your service, milady." He purred. His tail wagged softly behind him. He moved even closer so that he could see the strong passion behind her deep blue eyes. They were a couple of the most beautiful eyes he had seen. They were coloured so richly compared to her almost natural pelt and it expressed whole passion she possessed. Besides he could see his reflection on them.
He nodded and spoke with his voice purring once again: "Again I'm deeply sorry. I ventured this far to see your stunning lake with an interest of joining a pack." He smiled charmingly yet again. "Do you have any offers that may interest me?" He smiled a little at the thought of joining a pack led by a pretty lady like this Queen. If he decided to join, it should be a wonderful time for him. Even more so if there were more beautiful females in the pack.

"Speaking" Keinvarii was taken aback was the clean confidence that the male exhumed to easily, it did certainly match his sleek movements and the allure of his eyes. For but a moment her heart skipped a beat, such compliments were unusual to the Queen's ears for she had never payed her looks much attention. A surprised smile played on her maw, the twinkle back in her eyes though her posture lost no strength, words could but be poisonous snakes flashing their colorful markings before striking the unsuspecting prey with deadly fangs.
Her voice was touched with amusement when she replied, "No, I imagine you will find a great deal of beauty in these lands, and among the creatures that live here, in that you are rather well matched." The small gesture of a returned compliment was her quiet way of repaying his gesture, whether true or not the comment had been appreciated. "How lucky I am to have such an eloquent fellow at my service and one interested in my pack as well. I think I may have a proposition that could fetch a great deal of interest, but first you need know what we stand for at Lake Amerenthyst smooth Acelan." Cocking her head she teased his curiosity with her proposition, if he fit what she was looking for, then she would be a damned fool not to take him in for her purpose and that of the pack's, and her heart beat faster at the thought.
"You may find my questions forth coming, but I can guarantee you good sir, you will find the due reward well worth the trouble." Her grin was secretive, this wolf was beginning to bring out her playful side. "The Centana Accord is comprised of ancient and noble hearts in a fiercely proud land of delicate balance and steeled strength. We are the wolves that protect it and live upon its surface and though we are but small we are fierce in our bonds. We stand equal as one, though we do hold ranks of High Estate, Nobility and Commoners, one has to prove themselves of worth to gain higher ranking, which you may come to soon find out." Her fangs flashed, if this task was to be done she may as well have some fun doing it and flesh out the true character of this wolf.
"Are you ready to try your paw at passing the test? I seek a lupus of strong body and cunning mind, one whom craves the chance to prove their worth but will not engage in false paths to seek it. This fellow must be of good character and yet embrace his faults and as this pack is comprised of ladies he must know how to properly treat one as such." Her eyes gazed at him, bright with curiosity as she held her breath, would this be the one? Keinvarii walked around the male, letting her gaze slowly inspect him and took note of the muscles that rippled under the thick black pelt that graced his fine structure. Only but propriety kept the deep blush that threatened to taint her face at bay, but she needed to keep his interest long enough to ensnare him. She let her tail trail but briefly along his side before coming to a stop in front of him, awaiting his reply.

"Speaking" Ácélan was immensely pleased to see that he had impressed this Queen. Her smile played on his heart, sending it aflutter, a feeling he so commonly experienced and liked. That smile had lightened her whole appearance up and gave some softness to her intense eyes. He knew he had to make her smile often if he had decided to join her pack; it suited her so well. He listened to her amused words and was pleased to see that all of the previous stiffness she possessed had dissolved. But his ears twitched and his wide smile faltered when she said he was rather well matched. Rather?! He should think his own beauty exceeded a lot of things, if not everything, not "rather well matched". He made a small sound in his throat and decided to let that one to pass. Sometimes mistakes happened, and this Queen wasn't invulnerable to them. "How lovely of you to notice." A wide smile was back on his handsome face again.
Her next words soothed him. Very lucky, indeed. Ácélan raised his brows when an offer was mentioned, especially when it could interest him. He was so intrigued that at both corner of his smile drooped slightly when she said he had to know about the pack first. He wrinkled his muzzle when he saw her face; she must be teasing him. Fine, let her to get her own way for now and he would get her later. He readied himself for an introduction of the pack and what it has to give to him (rather than what he had to offer to the pack). He frowned lightly at her smile. Questions? What questions? And a reward? Then he laughed lightly; "Now that is rather unfair, milady." His whole body was itching for the reward and he felt like persuading her to allow it to come out. But he couldn't exactly do that while she was talking. The best thing he could do now was to listen. So he did.
The Centena Accord, so far, sounded good. But what bothered him a little was how was there an equality if there were leaders and second in commanders? But since that was an insignificant matter, he dismissed it. So the offer was a high rank and he had to prove himself? He guessed it must be something like a deputy or whatever so he decided if it wasn't that appealing he would decline her offer. He felt his eagerness fading now that he suspected it to be a rank. The Queen flashed her teeth and this led him wondering what the test would be. A fight? He didn't know as she mentioned questions. Whatever it might be, bring it on. He was preparing himself for whatever she could throw at him even though he was uncertain about the possible offer.
His ears swivelled forwards when she mentioned that she wanted a strong lupus. That was definitely him but she sounded picky. This rank must be quite important for her if she needed a lupus like him. She then mentioned something about being a good character and accepting one own faults but he dismissed the second part as he had practically no faults. He then kept listening. Aha! So the Accord was full of girls? He smiled widely and resolved to join no matter the outcome might be. This pack should be good for him as he agreed with most of its creed and the girls were what had made his decision. He gazed at the Queen and saw interest in her eyes. Was he good enough? He watched her as she walked around him (she must be getting a good view, he thought with an amusement), judging his body. Her observing eyes on him made him feel self-conscious. He must be perfect. Well, he always was but she must like him. His skin twitched at the area the Queen touched him. He looked at his own coat before looking at her straight. "I am always ready, darling." He smiled charmingly before preparing himself for this task, whatever it might be.

"Speaking" Keinvarii could easily see the physical strength in the muscles that his dark pelt covered, his fur appearing tailored to perfection to show off every cold glint of light, much like a night sky reflecting onto an icy black lake. Sighing she had to begrudgingly admit that he was physically suited for the position of king, his appearance contributing to the vision of regal pride and solid command. It was perfect, for a physical presence was all she needed as long as she had reigns on the pack he could stand as a deterrent force for other packs seeking to lay their claim on the Accord. Naturally he seemed healthy which would be a great asset when it came time to rpovide her pack with heirs. Swallowing audibly she deterred the blush that threatened to stain her pale face and re-centered her self.
“You will pardon my bluntness but you are quite physically fit and so you can see why I have no need for you to pass a physical test. You appear to be a lupus Acelan, may I ask what element you can control?” To make her question fair she rose a small stone from the earth and let it spin rapidly in the air, the cold light of day reflecting off its surface as it came to rest at Acelan’s feet, the dull rock turned into a crystal clear blue that matched the male’s eye color, startling in its clarity. It was but a small gift of welcoming, not many could boast having ownership over such a rare gem. Smiling ruefully she said, “As you can see I can control stone, but don’t let this placid display fool you.” Plucking another stone from the earth’s core she sent this one spinning into heightened speeds before launching it and directing it to slice into the exact middle of a distant tree, the flying bits of bark telling the force of the missile. Her accuracy had improved and so had the speed and force of her throws making her a deadly foe to any wolf seeking to penetrate the sanctuary of the lake.
Keinvarii turned her gaze back to the handsome male, the use of her element lighting a bright spark in her eyes. Confidently she said, "Have you ever been in a position to lead Acelan? This pack needs fierce wolves that can stand their own and direct those that cannot now more then ever before. I am Alphess to this pack, there is no Alpha.” She averted her gaze from his face, it did not please her to have to admit weakness but sacrifices had to be made to keep the ones she loved safe. “Packs see lone female leaders as…more vulnerable and I cannot have this pack an object of hungry eyes seeing my sole guidance as good cause for wreaking havoc on our numbers.” Her words were spiteful, the ways of nature that dictated males were by natural order stronger dsipleased her greatly. “I need a male that can stand as figurative Alpha to deter other packs from seeking blood in my own, in other words I need a King.” Sharply she turned to look at him, a deadly serious look resting solidly on her face, her jaw set in a decisive position of determination and resolve.
Morosely she continued, “If you choose to accept this position you accept the power that comes with it, all will be required to give you unquestionable respect and in turn all I ask is that play the part of my mate in illusion only. You can have a life most would but dream of as King, I do not ask you to shoulder all the responsibility of management, this is my burden to bare, but I do ask you to serve as a visible force at my side in public if we are to give the illusion of mates.” A flush of red crept onto her face as she once again averted her gaze from his, the last agreement more embarrassing to ask of then the rest. “And help give this pack heirs to solidify its safety. You may choose to leave after this last task is accomplished, but until that time you have the ultimate rank that can be given. Can you accept such an arrangement?” There was almost a pleading edge to her voice despite the strength of character she emanated, Keinvarii was desperate to ensure the safety of her pack and she was ready to give up her own happiness and freedom to do so, she could only hope this stranger would grasp at her offer.

"Speaking"
Ácélan had never been quite uncomfortable with someone staring at his body. In fact, he enjoyed it, no matter how awkward the situation could be. A smile grew wider as he saw the Queen's eyes were back on his strong body. He thought she looked somewhat satisfied with what she was seeing. This puzzled him. Not because he had a low expectation of his appearance. It was obvious that she wanted to use him for some reason, but what was it was the question he was thinking. He decided not to focus on this question; he'd rather to focus on this Queen. He steadied his icy gaze on her steady face. He seen her face and praised her beauty but now he found himself staring at her intently, taking everything in. He saw how her fur around her eyes captured the frosty light and reflected its cold beauty. The icy silver fur highlighted the rich blueness of her wide eyes and its swirling emotions. They said that eyes were the windows to owner's soul, and in this case, it must be true. He soon found out that he would be more than happy to stay here and stare into her eyes for a long time.
His concentration broke off as he heard Keinvarii swallowing. He twitched his ears and switched his attention from her to an elusive fox searching for any burrow. He pitied it; it was alone, searching desperately for any scrap of meal to eat. It was obvious from its thin frame and gaunt face. Ácélan turned his head to the Queen only after she finished speaking. Which element? Wasn't it obvious from his eternal warm breath hovering in front of him and the icy sheen of his pelt? Okay, it might be hard to tell while they were in the middle of an icy day. What about hers anyway? Soon his unspoken question was answered by a spinning stone. Impressive, he thought almost sarcastically until he saw the surface clearing up. The same blue as his eyes had overwhelmed the stone. He extended his paw and rolled it over on the ground to test its trickery. It wasn't a trick as far as he could see. "Impressive." This time it was sincere. He moved the stone with his paw closer to him, not intending to lose it. After all where could he find another like this one. Besides it had the same stunning colour as his own eyes.
He almost didn't hear the next words when he looked up at her from the jewel. He barely saw another spinning stone before it was being hurtled towards a distant tree. He froze at its precision and deadliness and saw a part of the tree shattering into pieces. He moved his gaze from the tree to the Queen; so she wasn't a placid wolf he had initially thought. There was a fire inside her, and it had the possibility of being a killer. His hackles rose ever so slight as he thought of a killer but he brushed it off quickly that he had almost forgotten what he was thinking. The stone display was over and he guessed it was his turn with his ice display. He knew he needed water to create a ice shard, so he breathed out deeply, forming a moist cloud in front of his nose. He closed his jaws together gently before seeing the frozen droplets appearing in front of him. Then he melded all of the droplets possible together into an icy chunk. Now, he wanted this display to be as impressive as the Queen's so he shaped the chunk into an elegant shard, its sharp tip shining dangerously. Then he immediately thought of the fox.
He shot her a mischievous smile before jerking his head towards the direction of the fox. The floating shard in front of his nose disappeared towards the intended direction and a shriek echoed around the forest. Ácélan froze, regretting his action almost instantaneously. The sound and the cry immediately brought him back to the scene, him stabbing the dying, crying leader beneath him. Another shriek dragged him back to the reality and relief shot up his limbs, weakening them slightly. It was still alive. A smile, no matter how weak it might appear, was back on his face: "You're not squeamish, are you?" He moved towards to the source of the cries and found the fox with its tail pinned to the earth by his ice shard. It looked pathetic with its starved look. It being frightened wasn't helping that. He knew nature would kill it off soon, judging the size of its belly, so it would be merciful to kill it right here and now. But he could not bring himself to do so. Selfish, he scolded himself but it did not help.
Sighing he placed a paw on the ribs of the fox and released the ice from the maimed tail. He only waited a moment before feeling his own energy trickling from his body into the body of the fox. Ácélan saw the gaping wound in the tail began to close. When he was satisfied that the fox's tail was fully healed he lifted his wide paw from its starved body and watched it scramble in a pathetic attempt to flee. After a few seconds he finally saw the tail disappeared into a bush. Turning back to the Queen, he said, "Ice and healing." Then he smiled, "Whaddya think?" If it was obvious he was rather proud of his powers.
Then the Queen said something about leading. And no alpha. He perked up, all of his uneasiness after injuring the fox now had disappeared. Alpha? Was she suggesting that he was to be her alpha? He ignored her uneasiness. Then she proceed to say how the packs may see the Accord a weak pack because there was only one leader and she was a female. He grunted, it was a good point. If he was being honest, and if he was a leader of another pack, he would see her as an easy conquest. But if she had an alpha male... He sat down and looked at her. An alpha male. A leader. A King. Unwittingly, a smile stretched his lips as he started to daydream the possibilities being laid in front of him if he was a King. Queen. Power. Girls. Then his name, if he decided to accept, came to him: King Ácélan. Now that has a nice ring to it. He thought with an amusement.
His wondrous dream was shattered into pieces when the Queen mentioned heirs. His horror blocked everything out including her pleading tone. Heirs? Children? He was expected to be a father? Dad? Daddy? He shook his head slowly, struggling to take it in. He really loved the idea of being a King but he had never considered that this rank would include being a father. It made sense, didn't it, since to continue the royal lineage you would have to be a parent. He knew he wasn't ready for a such commitment; he would have to be there for his children's birthing, scold them if they happened to act up, praise them if they were being good. Basically he would have to be there 24/7. He was young and he deserved to enjoy life while he was in his prime years. The idea of having a child frightened him, even though he might have some somewhere (considering how many females he had mated during his travels) but he would never know them, and this fear alone was enough to make him to reconsider his decision.
Ácélan looked at Keinvarii, and for the first time he noticed desperation in her wide, beautiful eyes. This stirred something familiar inside him and he sighed sharply. "Fine!" After he uttered that one word of acceptance he started to see that the advantages of being a king had outweighed the disadvantages... no, the only disadvantage. This meant it would be foolish of him if he did not accept it. He cleared his throat and his usual flirtatious purr was back in his voice: "Yes, milady, I accept." As he spoke those words, the both corners of his lips started to turn upwards into a faint smile. Forget about the future kids for now. You're going to be a king. Then the next thought made him smile wider; you will have this beautiful female as your queen. Besides you would be able to have any female you like. He stood up and his tail started to rise behind him. He promised himself that he would not regret this decision as if he ever wanted to leave the pack he had the freedom to do so, as Keinvarii said. This thought gave him more confidence and, as a result, his smile got more dazzler.

She was unsure why impressing this male seemed of importance to her, perhaps it was the fact that she wanted to demonstrate that she was not hard done by and could care for her own, or maybe it was just the assertion that she was equal to any male. Either way his comment had been appreciated and she watched eagerly as he began to present his own power, curious to see how the wolf might prove to be an asset for the pack and as her chosen mate. None too far away a poor fox trotted, early winter already taken a toll on the solitary animal as its ragged body showed signs of malnourishment and famine, hardly even making a meal for a wolf.
She felt sorry for the creature, but she knew it was the way of the Earth, and she would not interfere when it was hard enough keeping her own pack properly fed and healthy. She had heard from Evelyn that they now had a true healer in their midst and this was a comforting bit of information indeed for now if any wolves became injured or sick they would stand a chance of survival. Her eyes watched him form an ice shard purely from his own breath, her own breath caught in her throat as she tried to keep her eyes trained of the shard and not the male. His scent was strangely enough a comfort, and the warmth and strength from it was a polar opposite of his power. She doubted very much whether she would be able to forget it in the years to come, and for now she did not want to.
The mischievous grin he gave her cause a flutter of butterflies in her stomach, a reaction she had never had to any other male`s smile. Acélan was able to break down her calm and reserves like none other and in such a short time, the realization was disquieting and the experience entirely new to her. Focus now, she scolded herself, this isn`t a time to be playing smitten. Sharpening her gaze she noted that Acélan`s focus was on the fox, the poor beast that would probably not see a new season. With an incredible display of control and mastery Acélan let the shard fly and it was but a millisecond before a panicked and deeply surprised cry rang out.
Keinvarii resisted cringing for the hungry fox, ears flying back for a second as she walked after Acélan, her paws making little to no sound on the icy ground. Boldly enough she assured, “I am not squeamish sir, cannot afford to be in all honesty.” True enough, a squeamish Queen would not make for a strong pack and if she expected her own members to be brave and strong she needed to be as much. Her eyes softened in pity as they reached the pinned down creature, its tail caught in the piercing catch of the shard. It would only be fair to kill it quickly and not let the animal suffer; she only hoped the Earth would understand. However it was surprise that lit her face when Acélan place his paw on the poor wretched and healed his catch. A soft smile of admiration graced her maw as she looked upon the lupus she had chosen. He had demonstrated skill and caring, the ability to protect and heal, compassion and strength and Keinvarii knew her decision was the right one.
Giving him an appraising smile she remarked, “I think it demonstrates considerable skills and highly sought out abilities. You are certainly talented and no doubt if the work you have put into mastering your power and the compassion you showed to that creature is any indication of your character then you are certainly of good heart.” She spoke honestly, based on her meager observations and did not withhold her compliments for they were true words. He would be good to have as a protector in the pack, and Great Spirits knew how much they needed it.
She still was not sure whether he would take the position, it was a heavy burden to bear and a lot to ask of a stranger but she did not have any choice on the matter. It took all her strength to not shake in fear, fear that her one chance to assure the strength of the pack would pass her by and be met with failure. However his words sent her mind reeling, he would accept, the Accord had a King! A largely relieved grin spread across her maw, lighting her eyes up as she wagged her tail in pure joy. Shaking her fear off, Keinvarii approached him and gave Acélan a quick lick on his cheek, a sudden shy look on her face. “Thank you Acélan, you do not know how much this means to me, and the pack.” Her words were not eloquent, but the magnitude and weight of them relayed her gratefulness. She was now forever in this male`s debt and it was a gift that she would cherish. “You have my everlasting gratitude and respect, may your stay here be all that you hoped. I should like to call a pack meeting in a couple days so that you may meet your subjects, is this ample enough time to familiarize yourself with a bit of the land?” She needed to let the pack mates know as soon as possible in order to show them they needed to show respect to their new king and to ensure his transition was smooth. “Do you have any questions that I might answer? I have made my den deep within the forest, it is a large one and I imagine the pack will expect us to share it if we are to play this part. ” Another blush crept under her fur, it was an inconvenience but there was plenty of room so that they would each have their own space. Keinvarii had been diligent in her preparations for this event.

This move alone reassured him much more than her relieved words. Now that his certain had fully washed all of his previous worries away he felt an excitement blossoming inside him along with happiness. Now he had a beautiful lands to call a proper home, and not only that, he was also a king of these lands. This was definitely not what he was expecting when he ventured into this forest and ran into an angry Queen. It was a nice turn of events. He nodded to her question. "I will be just fine, you can call a meeting sooner if you think it's necessary." Fine? He would be more than 'just fine'; this all was his and he itched to explore it thoroughly. What other treasures would the Lake Amarenthyst hold other than the great lake? He would make sure that he had plenty of time to do this very soon.
"No, no question, milady..." He paused. Should he still call her that? They were equal in ranks now. But then it was same for her; the way she shouldn't call him a 'sir'. Keinvarii showed respect, despite her rank, to commoners and trespassers alike and Ácélan found this intriguing. Maybe this was the way the Accord worked; everyone was equal. Leaders were there to lead the pack, not to dominate them. He thought this was a good idea even though he found this slightly odd; it encouraged humility not arrogance. But unfortunately for the pack, Ácélan was rather arrogant and would have to learn this through experience.
His ears went forwards when Keinvarii mentioned sharing the den. Of course they would, why did she mention it then? It was as if she wanted the awkward part to be said and done. Like the mention of the heirs but this time Ácélan was unaffected by it. Well, unaffected was a wrong word as he was feeling rather pleased with the thought. It had been ages since he had actually shared a full night with a female in a den. He laughed; "Sure, it shouldn't be a problem." He winked at her; "Don't be shy!" He moved forwards to nudge her flank with his own. It wasn't like they would be up to something in the middle of the night, no matter how much he liked the idea. He assumed Keinvarii preferred to keep this relationship business-like. After all they weren't together just because they loved each other, but because of the pack. For once he felt a little disappointed that this relationship wasn't what he would've liked but it was either having a pretty girl, a pack and being a king or having scores of females but no king. Right now he preferred original but if he ever change his mind he could always leave.
Now that the request had been accepted he guessed there was no point for him to linger around here when he really wanted to do some exploring. He had initially planned to stay and seduce this female but now she was his mate and he would see her more than he'd thought so it would be silly if he did that now. "I would love to look around for a bit." Ácélan walked past Keinvarii with a wide smile on his face. "See you tonight, my Queen." He gave her another wink before walking towards the gap in the forest, towards the lake shore.
