OOC Information
OOC Name: Nightshade
Link to Previous Character: N/a
General
Name: Terra
Alias: None
Species: Eremus
Gender: Female
Age: 3 years
Pack: Loner
Rank: n/a
Physical
Height: 40 inches
Weight: 40 pounds
Appearance: Her pelt is the exact color of the sand she lives in, with dots that look like rocks all over her pelt. Her eyes are a bright yellow that seems to almost glow. Her pelt is scraggly, rather messy no matter how much cleaned. Her fur seems to be in waves, sticking up at the tips. The hooves at her paws are the same grey color as most rocks, so it looks like she stands on pointed rocks. Her ears are a dark sand color, darker then her pelt. She has a mask that is the same color of her ears, that stretches down onto her chest. It also forms socks on her legs. Her tail is the color of her other markings. Her tail looks like a scraggly bush that usually wags behind her. Her tail tends to curl up to the back, almost like a husky dogs tail. She is graceful with her long legs, instead of clumsy. Her voice is musical, like a wolf howling. It is high pitched, but not enough so that it is like a birds chirp. When she runs, its with the gracefulness of a dressage horse.
Other: None
Mental
Strengths:
She is a long endurance runner
She can run really fast
She can go long periods of time without food
She can work well under stress
She can think of a plan in seconds.
Weaknesses:
She quickly gets mad at prejudiced wolves.
She can be extremely judgmental.
She doesn’t have much focus when running for long periods of time, especially if the scenery is the same.
She has to have something to do, or else she will begin to dig, hunt, groom, anything to keep her mind busy.
She is impatient in interactions with others.
Personality: Terra is a very strong willed Eremus. She can be mean, but only when provoked or needed, she can snap, however, when being annoyed or bullied. She can not stand wolves who constantly ask why, how, when, or anything like that, and wolves who constantly bug others. She will yell at wolves who think they are better than others because of their breed. Lastly, she will not tolerate who think they are worse then others because of their breeds. She treats all wolves as equals. She doesn’t stay away from Harbingers, and lets them tell her what they look like instead of her own mental picture. She doesn’t like wolves that constantly fight, and will get in their way if the fight is needless, say, over a rabbit carcass, but will help fight, if its for her pack, family, territory, or safety. Unlike most of her species, she doesn’t get fat when leaving the desert. She enjoys spending time with other species. She doesn’t go near packs, and stays secluded, but only because she is afraid they will die or leave her, as her parents, all four of them, did, but she is planning on overcoming it by joining a pack. She has good luck when guessing which path to take. She gets disturbed by decaying creatures and the smell of rotting fish. She believes that, the only reason wolves are different, is because they were raised in different places, so they adapted to survive. She also believes that, in the time of the greatest need, The Great Spirit will come. This was told to her by her parents, but she was so little she doesn’t remember, but it sticks to the back of her mind like a stubborn flea. She can run very fast, for very long, because, when her Kukkien parents died, she would often run, and run, and run, imagining her leaving the sadness behind by running away from it. While she was running, if it seemed to be catching up, she would run even faster, which is why she can run much faster. When she was grieving, she wouldn’t eat for a long period time, which is why she can go for a long while without eating now. Her Kukkien parents would put stress on her, as they knew they were near death, as they were five years old, and wanted her to be ready for traveling like they did. They would quiz her by telling her a situation, and timing how long it took her to think of a response. When they were traveling, some wolves would scoff because they were different breeds, so now she can’t stand them. She had to know which wolves would be safe to tell her tales, so that they couldn’t use it to get back at enemies. She was always seeing different scenery, so she is used to that now, so when she runs and the scenery stays the same, she gets bored. Fast. When they were traveling, she wouldn’t have much time to idle, so now she has to constantly have something to do.
History: She was born with Eremus parents, but they died soon after during a fight. She was only half a year. Before the fight, they had left her in a nearby forest, in a hole between some tree roots. They had no other pups, as their other pups had died of starvation, as their territory could only support her parents, her, and the other three or so that formed their tiny pack. They died in a territorial argument that turned into a fight when the pack that wanted the land heard that the pair had a pup, knowing that they wouldn’t leave the land. They wanted the land because it was near the forest, so they could get water during a drought. The two were killed, and Terra waited for a day or so in the hiding den before she had to stumble out and get a drink. An elder pair of Kukkien found her and took her in as their own, later on telling her that they did this because they were to old to have any more pups of their own, and they missed having a young pup around. They named her Terra because of the way or pelt looked like the soil of the desert. They traveled once she was old enough to care for herself for short periods of time, so she learned the ways of the many species. When she was a year and a half, the Kukkien died, leaving her on her own. By this time she hadn’t gained the weight that a normal Eremus would have, which meant that she had adapted in a way so that she stayed the same, in the desert or not. She wandered the lands for a while, making friends with some of the wolves that lived around Wonderwhy, before coming across her families old home. She moved in for a while, but got bored after spending her whole life adventuring, and went back to traveling. She hopes to find a pack, get a position as a messenger or something of the sort, so that she can still travel, even while living in a pack. She wanted to keep the things her adoptive parents spent their lives doing, which was teach wolves of the other breeds, such as Kukkien, Eremus, and others like that.
