The days had been passing by rather slowly, dragging on without any break in the boredom. She had slowed herself down when it came to Phoenix's rescue, mostly for her leader's sake. She knew the female was getting old, as all short lived species did, but that injury of hers was more of a bother than anything. She cared for Keinvarii, loved her like a sister. She was the closest friend that she had and she had been the first one to be that way in a very long time. She trusted Keinvarii with her life and did not once ever doubt her leading skills. She would follow the Lupus to the ends of the earth.

Evelyn padded along the beach carefully, stepping from one of the stones to another. She avoided the water with care, knowing that one wrong step could get her sucked in and killed. The Lumen was old herself, but she still had quite awhile to live and this was the place that she was willing to do it. It was perfect here. Great weather, plentiful prey, but dangerous situations at practically any turn. She sighed, knowing that she had her pack and her friends, but there was still something missing from the picture. Kainashi, her lost, beloved mate. She missed him greatly and wondered where he had gone.

Life was so different without her love. She felt a hole in her chest, something she knew was missing greatly and it was something she wanted back now. She knew, however, that the chances of him just reappearing were slim to none. She sighed, gazing up at the midday sky. Her crimson eyes stood out against her pelt, but they certainly made the accents on her body stand out greatly. Her ear tips were dark pink, her tail tip was dark pink, her paws were dark pink, and there was a patch around her right eye that was dark pink. They matched the markings of her mate perfectly, but they were pink, like the poppies.

Evelyn shook her head sadly and sat herself down on a high rock, giving her a decent view of the water. The mist from the waves sprayed up into her face, dampening her pelt. Her heart ached horridly and she felt so lonely, even though she had an entire pack to help lead and she could not complain about those in it. She loved her pack. However, she could not help but feel the absence of her mate, the one she loved so dearly, and the absence of her pups. She had been pregnant when Kainashi had vanished, and it broke her heart when she miscarried. She wondered, especially after experiencing it the first time, if she'd ever get the chance to be a mother.

Lost in thought the young rose petal and garnet colored female wandered wandered over a stone path, still growing she was still rather small in stature due to her age made it a little sloppy as she moved.Her deep crimson eyes were turned to the ground not really seeing it but still there but not, she was completely lost in thought as walked. 'So much has happened in such a short time... What am I going to do... Vladimir is gone, daddy is gone. The whole pack Vladimir formed has fallen into chaos and I've watched fellow pack members die and kill each other to eat them. I fled for my life... Where am I going to go... I'm all alone.' light tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

An accidental look away from her path caused a slip, she almost fell into the water, she quickly regained her footing, and sat down on the very rock she almost slipped off of. Her crimson eyes looked up to sky sadly as her fur went from rose petal pink to match the very color of the water that surrounded her, all except for her silver stripes and garnet paws. "Oh Vladimir, what should I do? I'm so lost and everyone has gone insane in the pack... I had to flee for my life." her voice rang softly on the salty air as waves crashed against the upon which she was sitting.

Tears slowly began to slide down from her crimson eyes, uncertainty had gripped the young inexperienced female already. Despair had ripped her heart to the point of almost no return. Things had gone so badly since she was born, disaster seemed to be all that followed her, she had nowhere to go and no home to return to and it was getting dark, if she didn't find shelter soon she would yet again be sleeping out in the cold. A deep sign escaped her lips as she lifted her head and sorrowfully loosed a mournful howl from her ebony kissers, the song so sad and heartbreaking it would pull at most any heart that was close enough to hear it.

Her senses were disturbed. No matter how small of a sound it was, it reached into her mind and broke the bubble of serenity she held over herself. She was so caught up in thinking about Kainashi and his second disappearance from this world. The voice...it was so small and almost insignificant compared to the waves crashing on the shores of the rocks that she sat upon. Her head had turned to the side, in the direction of the sound, and not even the fresh water hitting her fur could do a thing about it. Her concentration was on the thing that had made the noise, and her most immediate thought was that there was a trespasser on her lands. There was something that needed to be done about that, and she was intent on doing so.

All former feelings of nostalgia and sorrow washed out of her body. She stood silently, padding her way down the rocks as she came closer to the sound. Her pelt color remain its usual white with pink accents. Whatever it was that was on her lands was small and defenseless, so she wouldn't need her invisibility for this attack. Slinking about the stones that were around her, she moved her gaze around one stone in her way, her crimson eyes landing on a small figure that was sitting on the rocks beside the water. A small figure, one of thin stature and colorful pelt. Her eyes widened slightly.

She had to be no older than a pup.

Evelyn watched her howl a sorrowful song into the sky and she felt her own heart twist in pain. What had happened to this young thing that would make such pain come out of her mouth? She didn't know nor did she really care to find out. The old Lumen was no so fancy with strangers, but...this tiny thing was alone and seemed cold. She had no idea what to do. She was not good with younger wolves, as she had proven to herself with Phoenix's pups awhile back, so she was at a bit of a loss at what to do. Being the general prankster that she was though, she had somewhat of a kinder side to her. It was just harder to find. Sighing, she pulled herself out from behind the rocks.

She stood tall and proud before the small female, speaking over the sound of the waves, "I am Evelyn, the Archduchess of the Centena Accord. You trespass on our lands right now, little one. What are you doing out here alone, without anyone to watch you?"
