"Speaking" It was cold, as was expected during winter, and white rabbits and jackaloppes alike scampered between bushes and trees, seeking shelter or simply out for a walk. The snow covered branches hung like a canopy overhead, and although it was a sunny day, only a white light entered the Caiyen Forest, home to the pack of wolves called the Accord. Icicles gleamed prettily on their perches as various birds called to one another up above. It was a peaceful day, a serene place of tranquility and hidden joy. Much like the lupus that walked amidst this paradise...
Faye walked along the forest, taking a break from the hustle and bustle of pack meetings, accepting members and forming alliances with other packs. While she knew her friend Raynor, the Cael, preferred the lake as his place to dwell, and she knew he had made his den on Mowrak Island, the lightning lupus preferred her own den in the forest. Her paws left tracks on the previously untouched crystalline substance. Her yellow eyes scanned the forest for any trace of other pack members: She was eager to meet with others, new or old members, and wondered if any would be out in the forest this morning.
Her pure white coat blended nicely with her surroundings, except for the navy blue markings on her long, slender legs and back. She came to a more shaded are where tree branches dipped low, and hundreds of icicles hung low, beckoning. It was a marvelous sight, and she lit up her pelt with her lightning abilities, the yellow lightning dancing off her fur to illuminate the area, the light reflecting of the icy prisms, dazzling the clearing for a moment. She watched her small light show with a small, contented smile, and then stopped, as the winter wind whistled merrily through the trees.

The forest was a frozen wonderland of pristine beauty that twinkled in the late morning hours, a frozen paradise in the wintery day. The Caïyen Forest stood like a palace of ice, draped in dazzling white flags and decked with icicle diamonds that shone proudly in the sun`s embrace. Deep within this wondrous kingdom a whisp played in the pale white mist that rose from the ground, dancing in the white rays that the sun was casting into the forest. In and out of icicles she weaved, a puff of smoke dissolving and reappearing periodically as she gave homage to the forest through her flighty dance.
The tinkling of icicles and the merry whistling of the wind through the trees were her instruments and a mysterious life forced breathed through the forest. At peace and joyful the soft white and pale bruised violet wolf twirled into the branches, casting a shower of shimmering icy dust over her body as her wings unfolded as she remerged to perch on a branch. Weighing in at only 40 pounds and standing at 48 inches, she was an eerie picture of noble grace and perched on the branch partially enveloped by her smoke she was a ghostly sight of an almost heavenly beauty.
The sun`s rays pierced through her body, warm and comforting they were already at work trying to melt the white paradise and if they did not receive any more snow the sun would succeed. The lake was a warmer climate than the valley, snow came and went frequently and the air was always humid. Pausing to glance below her she watched Faye gracefully walk through the forest, the lupus that certainly befitted Swalleena`s image of what a Duchess should look like. Her white fur seemed almost brilliant in the white glow cast by the snow, and the blue markings stood out beautifully.
Deciding to continue watching, Swalleena gazed upon a wondrous spectacle as the lupus` fur seemed to come alive with sparks of light that danced and shimmered off the icicles dangling from a nearby branch. Reflective prisms shone in the air and bounced off other nearby icicles and with emerald green and golden speckled eyes Swalleena watched the display with rapture. What a stunning use of power, she thought with admiration, and she drifted down a couple branches to get a closer view, silently holding vigil over the forest.
Swalleena had yet to really speak with the female, had yet to actually converse with any members of the pack. The Accord was an interesting place; although most wolves were solitary there was still a strong bond that the whisp could feel deep within her heart. She had a feeling that Faye was one individual with whom she might be able to relate and so she came down to the snow covered ground and appeared, her smoke shining with millions of sparkles in the light and finally dissolving. She gave the Duchess a kind smile and said, “Good day Duchess Faye, pardon my intrusion but I could not help but admire your beautiful use of your power, what element is it that you weave so finely?” She gave her a tail a sweeping wave and bowed down briefly to acknowledge the other wolf`s rank. She was aware that there were no pretences between ranks, but her noble upbringing had embedded formal manners into her life.

[atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,false][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=000000] Cahaya was not known for being a particularly cheerful wolf; there was usually something around she disliked. Today it was the cold. The haughty young wolf was the type who enjoyed her material comforts; she did not enjoy winter. At all. She hated it. She hated a lot of things. Like the necessity of belonging to a pack and being a Maid. And the way several of the males she'd met recently hadn't seemed to fancy her! In fact, some of them had taken no notice whatsoever of her looks. That hurt her pride very deeply. She took her confidence from her arrogance, her surety that she was unbelievably, absolutely, incredibly pretty. She took no notice of the beauty of the Lake, nor the shimmering white light on the snow, or the perfect pale expanse of the sky. Cahaya, as far as she was concerned, was far more beautiful than any other thing. She glided, elegant and silent, through the forest, and felt a thrill rise through her as she considered her own wonderfulness. Certainly, she thought to herself, I am the most beautiful thing in the world today. A flash of light drew Cahaya's gaze for a moment, and she stood still, considering. She could go and investigate, or she could hang back. Deciding that anything interesting might draw the attention of other pack members - and possibly even males for her to flirt with - she bounded towards the light, creeping up to the ridge and peering through the frost-covered leaves. Caution was something deeply ingrained into Cahaya's nature, caution and stealth and manipulating, always staying detached, never jumping in. It was not a happy life, full of friendliness and sunshine, but she wasn't that kind of wolf anyway. She was slightly disappointed to note the two wolves in the clearing; both females like herself. One was white with navy blue markings, the other white and pale violet. She thought she recognised them from the pack meeting; Faye and Swalleena, she believed their names were. “Good day Duchess Faye, pardon my intrusion but I could not help but admire your beautiful use of your power, what element is it that you weave so finely?” Swalleena bowed down, a display of submission that made Cahaya feel slightly nauseous. The Accord could get lost if it thought she was going to bow down to a wolf as ugly as that. Cahaya was certain, after all, that she was the most beautiful wolf in the world. And look - she'd survived, hadn't she? Without having to get mud on her paws. Really, Cahaya thought, sometimes I am amazed by my own amazingness. Deciding to drop back into the real world, the young lupus emerged from the leaves, shivering slightly as ice brushed her pelt. She trotted down towards the two wolves and smiled. "Greetings. My name is Cahaya - you might remember me from the pack meeting?" Cahaya did not settle down as she would usually, preferring to keep as much out of contact with the snow as absolutely possible. She stood, poise perfect, her tail just high enough to border on arrogant, confident in the knowledge that she was beautiful, her black pelt in striking contrast against the snow and her smile perfect.

OOC: Take no notice of all the 'I'm-so-pretty' stuff, she's not THAT pretty, just arrogant XD
