On the shores of Lake Amarenthyst, a large creature limped along. His Sepia eyes glinted as he took in the large mass of water. His voice was unreasonably loud for him to be talking to himself as he recounted tales from days before, tales that told of beasts that swam like fish but looked like wolves from the waist up. Terrible.
Douvin had found his way to this lake with no guidance. Wandering did that; it took you to new places that made you remember old things. And sometimes it pushed you into new situations, but Douvin didn't like that last probability too much. He hated not knowing what he was getting into. Granted, it was always a time to teach others their place and significance. Which was usually nothing, he found. A lot of creatures put themselves up on a pedestal and didn't actually have the brains and bloodline to back up their claims. And that's where Douvin came in.
Finally tearing his eyes away from the sparkling lake, the old Yagi waddled along, his warm eyes squinting up as small pains stabbed at his back leg.
"It'll be worth it in the end, Old Graymuzzle," he grumbled, referring to himself. "Let's get across the lake and make it home."

It had been a while but he still could not believe that this wonder was all his. Well, it was Keinvarii's too but it was also his. He scanned the horizon, partly checking for anything odd, partly admiring. He saw nothing so he moved his head forwards, away from the lake. He was confident that there would be no dangers as the lands surrounding the Lake Amarenthyst were pretty secure thanks to the mountains and cliffs. Well, if any danger somehow penetrate the natural protection he knew his pack would be strong enough to fend it off. After all there were plenty of mature lupuses in Accord with their elemental powers to fight it off. Having no puppies in the pack was a plus as someone wouldn't have to stay behind to take care of them if the worst did happen. But even Ácélan, with his distaste of puppies, knew every pack would need puppies to thrive, especially the puppies of the leaders.
He swallowed as he reached the thought of him being a father. He did not want to have heirs just yet but he knew the Accord will need them soon. And he knew procrastinating it too long would probably result in Keinvarii mating another male to get the much needed heirs. He did not want that. He did not want to even imagine his mate with another male even if it was very necessary. He flicked his tail almost irritatedly when his thoughts reached that kukkien hybrid and his silly crush on the Queen.
He wasn't worried about Keinvarii and Siren as he knew his mate would have to be loyal as it, if it did happen, would disrupt the peaceful order of her pack. Besides she could lose her handsome king. Now that his worries had been proven silly, he realised that a strange scent was lingering in the air. Quietly cursing himself for not being vigilant Ácélan followed the trail until he saw a limping figure of a wolf. A yagi, judging from his curled horns, with no scent of the Accord. Alarmed at this trespasser, he hurried towards him even though he knew this yagi would not be able to outrun him with his limp. Closer up, he saw that the wolf was ancient and he immediately decided that it was going to be incredibly easy for him to get rid of this elder. "Hey, do you know where you are?" He tossed his head and his tail raised behind him to display his dominance and, without waiting for the yagi's answer, he went on: "Well, it's my lands so get out." As seconds with him passed, his concerns of this wolf being a danger dissolved. All he cared now was that he did not want this old, ugly wolf to taint the beauty of the Lake Amarenthyst.
