"Speaking" Little Tauxic was quite away from his mother and den. His mother Lupa had gone out to hunt and left Tauxic who decided to take a look for his daddy. Sure he needed only to await in the den for his father and not give his mother a heart attack to find that he was not in the den... but what was the fun in that? Besides, Tauxic believed that he was getting rather grown up (even through it had only been about a week since he had started to play outside the den). Plus, truth be told, he was quite lost in his own packs territory. This was not the smartest of the pup's ideas. The youngster's body shook vigorously from not only his very poor health but from lack of warmth as well. Tauxic whimpered to himself. "I miss mawmaw... maybe if I turned around I and go strait forward, I can find my way back by the morning..." He said looking up and the now darkening sky as the moon began to rise and stars began to shine and glitter throughout the beckoning darkness. At least there was no cold breeze or else he could have very well caught his death quite early in his game of life. The grassy ground beneath him was cold and there was light dew on them. Tauxic whimpered to himself once more. He turned around to start heading home but he realized that it looked like the same as when he was going forward. He began to turn and turn in his current position and completely lost sense of direction. He whimpered loudly. Just brilliant.. He thought gloomily. Tauxic suddenly remembered something his mother and what he would hear at night would do. Howl. His little forehead began to have creases in it as he looked down hard and did his best to concentrate. He then tried to howl. It came out as a weak and small whimper like sound. Tauxic frowned. If mawmaw can do it, so can I.. He thought. He rose his head again and tried to howl. It came a little louder this time but strained and still very weak. Tauxic looked down sadly. Why couldn't he just howl like all the other wolves? Was there something wrong with him? Was it why he shook when he breathed? He sighed as a little cloud of fog and realized he could see his breath. Once that was established in his mind, a light snow fall began to blanket over him. For a moment, his mind was caught up in all the beauty of the gray and night sky and the snow sprinkling down to him. This stuff must have come from something beautiful to come down so gracefully and so pretty looking.. He thought happily. He then found that he was shaking much much worse than before. It was a very very stupid idea to have come out here looking for his father, only to possibly die without any family or friends and being so alone. But at least he felt he would die happily in the snow... even if the concept of death did scare him quite a bit. If only he could howl loud enough so someone could hear him. Tauxic momentarily cleared his throat. He then gazed up at the stars and snow and sky. If only he could reach his voice just up there, then anyone could hear him. This was his moment, the perfect moment. Not only was he in a beautiful area and looked so right with his light pink and purple fur sprinkled with creamy spots in the snow, but it was also a matter of life or death. He continued to stare up to the sky, trying to find some power beneath the coldness and unhelpfulness of his worsening health. Then not a moment more, musical notes began to play out of his mouth and was not very loud, but maybe just loud enough for someone, anyone to come find him and help him to stay out of the bony grasp of death. He sang as loud and as long as he could while thinking, if only it would just make it to the sky, if only it would just make it to the stars. His breath then shortened quickly and he brought his song to an end. He stood shaking in the still thin and not sticking snow. He now waited in the darkness, and the soundless moments, waiting, listening for anyone to reply that his attempted would not go unheard.

Cresent shivered as she walked through the snowy terrain, and dragged her paws against it. There were two things she enjoyed to do with snow, run through it, and drag her paws on the snow to make little trails. It seemed like such a pup thing to do, but it was a way to kill time none the less. Why can't the snow just not come? She thought.
Her ears suddenly perked up. She heard something that sounded like..singing? It was faint, but she thought she should take a look anyways. Cresent ran until she found a purple and pink lump of fur in the snow. He looked like a little pup, and a weak one at that. What was he doing outside of his den, protected from the elements and worse, predators?
Cresent sighed and wrapped her tails gently around the pup, trying to warm him. "Hello little pup, I am Cresent, a sitter here. What are you doing outside of your den, don't you know its much safer there?" She said sweetly, trying to comfort the pup. "What is your name, and where are your parents?" She frowned and wondered, how the parents could dare leave their pup all alone, or be unable to prevent him from leaving the den?

"Speaking" Tauxic's eyes began to close as fatigue and coldness began to tare at his conscientiousness. He felt numb and all he could think about and see was the stars above him and the snow falling around him. He felt comfortable... comfortable in an unusual way somehow. He began to think about what would happen if he died. Maybe he would become a star in the sky, or even a constellation. Well, what ever happened, he knew it would be right for him. Even if it was just plain, silent, blackness. Still... he longed for his parents. Tauxic was suddenly awakened from his numbing state of mind when warmth was wrapped around his small and poor body. He realized just how freezing he really was. "Y-yes... I-I know now..... my mawmaw went h-hunting so I went l-l-looking for daddy. But then I didn't k-know where I was and got lost... mawmaw will be very worried a-about me..." He said sadly. Tauxic had now realized the poorness of his choice to leave the den. He just wanted to prove that he could do things... that he will get big and will be able to handle himself. He didn't mean to hurt anyone, least of all his mother's feelings and heart. It hurt him just thinking about how much he must have hurt his mother, running away like he did. She must not trust him anymore, and that pained him greatly, knowing he must have lost someones trust, even more so that it had been his mother's trust that had been damaged. He vowed to himself in his little head that he would never do such a thing again. He didn't know if his heart or mind could ever take hurting his mother in any way, even emotionally. He had only inflicted pain unintentional to both him and his family. It was a major crime to him. "Um... Whats a sitter?" He asked sniffling a bit from sadness and from defrosting his nose. The snow around them began to slow even more now to almost non existent. He shivered. Occ: Con must be next to post. ^^

Coneiron had returned to his shared den with his lovely Lupa hoping to find his son and his mate awaiting his return from his latest, and rather extensive patrol. However the fierce Guardian had found not but an empty home with no wolf to greet his arrival, disappointed he had set out to track the pair down with night beginning to fall fast and the temperature plunging rapidly, the large lupus' breath coming out in puffs of wispy smoke. With his nose precariously close to the ground and his tail swishing behind him a frown of worry soon came to grace his noble features. The trails were not synchronized and the smell from his son was far stronger then that of his mate, had they left at different times and did Lupa know their son was not at home in the safety of their sheltered den?
Quickly he followed his nose through the cold twilight haze, aqua eyes almost glowing in the receding light. His dark pelt blended with the cold of the landscape as he rushed through the pines that lay close the the ground, young saplings not yet old enough to stand tall with their elders. Voices reached his ears, crystal murmurs in the dusk and recognizing one as Tauxic's Coneiron dashed through the snow, fearing for his tiny son's safety. Quickly coming upon the pair he gave a low growl at the lyxxus that stood before his son, coming to stand defensively over Tauxic.
He did not know this wolf, a female but the scent of her and as his nostrils flared he caught wind of other Children scents on her pelt. Relaxing slightly his whites fangs disappeared back under his maw, it was probably but a concerned member, not a threat to his son. Having established he would not need to fight he ran his large black nose over his son's body, checking for injury and giving the little fellow an affectionate and relieved lick. Glancing up he said humbly, "Thanks you for finding him, I care not to consider what might of occured should he have been lost in the night. My name is Coneiron, may I know the name of the wolf that helped save my son?" Coneiron lay down carefully by Tauxic, wrapping his body around the tiny wolf to keep him warm.
His nose came back down to breathe in the sweet smell of his son's soft fur, briefly nuzzling him once more as if to reassure himself the pup was indeed alright. In a softer scolding voice he spoke, "Never wander off like that again young one, I was very worried!" His thoughts traveled to the pups biological father, and a small shudder ran through his body, what if he had returned and Tauxic had been taken? It was impossible, no doubt the bastard didn't even know he had sired a son, but the nagging fear remained in the corner of his shrewd mind. A little less harshly he added, "But you are safe now, and that is all that counts. Are you hurt or hungry little one?" He lifted his head to gaze back at the striped female, it seemed only right he show some good manners. "Pray tell my dear, are you new to the pack or is it I have just been so busy I have yet to make your acquaintance? You must excuse my manners, but this little fellow gave me a bit of a...scare." It struck Coneiron that it had been the first time he had actually felt bone numbing fear in a long time, not even the leaders situation had evoked the same reaction as the threat of loosing his son had that evening.

Cresent smiled at the black and blue wolf, and gently curtsied. "I am Cresent, a sitter of this pack. I just found your poor little bundle of joy and couldn't let him freeze," She said sympathetically. "Ah, I suppose you could call me new, I've been in this pack for what I'm guessing to be two months." Cresent said, smiling widely to show her friendliness.
Then she started to wonder, this wolf who Cresent knew to be the little pup's father, Coneiron, he looked so strong. And whoever the mother would be she assumed to be very beautiful and strong as well, so how did this pup turn out to be such a defenseless one? Sure, all pups were defenseless, but this one looked like he was sickly, malnourished even.
She sighed, why was the pup so sick? Was there a sickness spreading around that made the pup malnourished, and could do worse to the rest of the pups in the pack? What about Kasmira's pups, she hasn't seen them lately, what could happen to them? Cresent growled at herself, she was being rude to Coneiron for thinking too much and ignoring his presence. Perhaps he would know if there was something happening within the pack.
"Coneiron, was it? Yes, I was wondering, why is your pup so.....small? I've seen some pups in my days, but this one looks sickly, is there a disease spreading in the pack?" She said, worry spreading on her face. What if the disease was deadly, what if Cresent caught it, how would she take care of pups without infecting them? She whimpered with anxiety, not knowing about this was just killing her!
She began focusing on the little pup again. She kept her tails wrapped around him, in case he was still cold. "And may I ask what your little bundle of joy's name is?" She directed the question to both Coneiron and the pup, if he wanted to answer himself. Cresent wondered if perhaps Coneiron and his mate had more pups in the den, what if they were left alone and got out too? "Pardon me asking, but do you have any other pups that may have gotten out of the den?"

"Speaking" Little Tauxic looked down. He did not like the feeling of being scolded to, even it was hushed. He also didn't like to make his parents worry. It made him feel... to put in simple terms... crappy. He felt that he was going to make a long apology for this mess up, not that he really needed it but he felt that he needed to. At least to make himself feel better by apologizing and even better if or when his parents say they forgive him. "I am not hurt but I am a bit hungwy." He said to his adopted father. The only food he had eaten recently was that of his mother's milk from this morning that he felt he could soon stop drinking and start to eat the red juicy looking stuff mawmaw and daddy always ate. But he learned that certian times will come, such as growing up, and his mother would probably start letting him eat what she eats at the appropriate time in life. However, he was suddenly slightly worried that he would have to wait till he was as old as his mother. Tauxic suddenly looked at Cresent. Sickly? Small? Disease? Tauxic's heart suddenly felt hurt. There was something deeply wrong with him. And what did she mean...? Was she saying that he was a disease? This assumption was suddenly thought because of his quickly lowered self of steam. She then calls him a little bundle of joy. Why? Tauxic's head began to hurt. She went from thinking he was spreading something to being this joyous little thing. It confused him badly and he felt as though he may never truly understand any of this conversation. Present nor future. "My name is Tauxic. I was born small and looking... like I do." He said slightly sadly, referring to looking... sickly. Normal, he would have probably just let his father answer all these questions but for some odd reason, Tauxic felt that he needed to answer for himself, at least this time around. So... I am... different... he thought to himself. He just prayed that he was not different in a bad way. " I... erm... don't have any.. others like me... I am their only pup." He said slightly quietly. He was suppose to have others like him... born with him. And yet he did not.... why? Maybe there was truly something wrong with him, but what? Tauxic couldn't exactly figure it out. Maybe he would figure it out in the future, when he was a little older and a little wiser and know a great deal more than he dose now as an innocent and still learning much pup that he was. Still... why did it hurt to think these things? Being small.. and sickly looking?

Coneiron tried hard to keep his jaw from dropping, Crescent may have been a sitter and therefor a care taker of the young but the Gardian was astounded at her words. Wishing fervently that Tauxic had not heard the well meant but harsh words his eyes grew hard and glinted with warning. It was one thing to question a pup’s health, but another to blatantly call the pup sickly and weak in its presence. The proud father nuzzled his son comfortingly, silently telling him to keep his chin up and trying to relax his tense muscles as so to not aggravate the little wolf. Proudly lifting his own head he stared hard at the sitter, weighing his response in order to calm his initial desire to rebuke in anger.
His nose breathed in the sharp cold air gratefully, his senses atuned to every tinkle of ice and crack of snow laden branch as he listened to his son reply before himself. Proud of his son’s courage he nodded his approval and let the little pup finish before raising his own voice. Tersely he replied, each word weighed carefully, “Although your intentions seem purely in concern of this pack perhaps you had best weigh your words with more care before labeling such a impressionable mind as sickly or weak in their presence. My son is neither diseased, sick nor deaf, though his size may leave room for doubt his heart is big enough to challenge such accusations of weakness. You may rest easy; disease in the pack is not a concern.” He kept his shoulders straight and proud, and although his voice was firm it was not harsh, he did not desire to give a reprimand but he would not have his son degraded.
Relenting his assertive stand he sighed, knowing his son’s size might be a consistent obstacle that Tauxic would be reminded of in his life, and although Coneiron might not always be around to protect him he could try to instill pride in the young pup at an early age. “Yes, he is my only son and for this reason I once again express my thanks for having found him. This pack is indeed blessed with many pups all of good families which I am sure would be glad to know they have such an alert sitter watching out for their children. How are you finding integration into the pack? We are a rather close knit pack…” The last was said ruefully and with a morose smile, it was a close pack, but in that respect new members sometimes found it hard to integrate and find a comfortable cadence among the wolves as such to the point Coneiron had almost left before finding his heart and path in the soul of his mate; Lupa.

OOC: Sorry about the wait, I completely forgot about this thread to be honest...
Cresent gently smiled at the pup and patted him on the head. "Oh I'm sorry, so so sorry about my previous accusation, I didn't know. Well, I just know that you'll grow to be a big and strong wolf soon, don't you worry." She tried to comfort the young wolf, she didn't mean to make him feel bad, it was just her nature to jump to conclusions, in case it really was some sort of disease.
"No siblings? Well at least you can play around with the other pups of this pack, that's the nice thing about being part of such a big group, there's always someone you can meet and get to know better." She smiled while speaking, still trying to seem as nice as possible, there was no point in being disliked by her fellow pack members.
She then looked at the blue wolf, Coneiron, and frowned. She really, truly, honestly, didn't mean to insult the little wolf. Of all the things that she would possibly do, making another wolf, especially a pup feel bad, oh, Cresent would just hate herself! She gently lowered her head in respect and sat in front of the wolf. "I sincerely did not mean in any way to make any assumptions about you wonderful little pup, I apologies sir, and I am very happy that your little bundle of joy is not diseased, I just..."
Cresent trailed off, she felt so bad about this, she could just run off and cry a river of tears, but she couldn't simply run off, it wasn't right. "Well, at least there isn't a disease as I thought," She said, her sadness sneaking into her words. "Well, I've met quite a few nice wolves in this pack, I've seen you, of course, and your, again, very wonderful pup Tauxic." She paused and thought for a moment.
"Oh, yes, I've met a wonderful wolf named Kasmira, who gave birth to I think four pups, if memory serves correctly. Oh, I also met a nice wolf who could make electric sparks appear out of nowhere, her name was Lupa." She looked back up at Coneiron and backed away, sitting down just feet away from him. "Overall, the wolves that I have met were pretty nice. Though I'm sure there are many more that are as nice as they were," Cresent was still smiling, even after her miniature 'episode' with her practically insulting Tauxic.
Cresent sighed and looked at the little wolf, who would probably still feel upset. Cresent felt like she hadn't truly apologized to him, so she nodded to the pup and ran off. She was going to come back of course, but not until she could give him something to show that she was truly sorry. She started to dig through the snow, trying to find a little burrow of some sort.
Some small prey must live around here still, even if its winter, they must be alive, she thought. Cresent squinted around and found a divot in the snow. She used her claws and started digging, if they noticed, the prey probably couldn't have a chance at escape anyways. Cresent tried reaching in the hole with her paw, but it was longer than she thought.
She decided to try to use her tails to get to the prey, use them as bait maybe and one may get close enough for her to 'grab'. Cresent sat down on the hole and put her tails as far in the hole as she could make them. She started gently moving her tails around and hoped that whatever would be inside, probably a jackalope, would mistake her tails for food.
Cresent winced when a jackalope actually fell for it, one bit down hard on her tail, she wasn't expecting it to work honestly, but at least she got one. Now to the task of killing it, she pulled her tail out of the hole quickly and put the frightened jackalope on the surface. She pinned it down with her paws so it couldn't escape, and killed the little creature.
She ran back to the pup as fast as she could and gently put the jackalope at his feet. "Here Tauxic, I hope this helps make up a bit for my," she paused for a moment, "my assumptions." She smiled and nudged the prey a bit closer. "Enjoy!"

"Speaking" Tauxic's forehead wrinkled some as his head was patted and something about becoming a strong and big wolf some day. Taux looked down at his body for a moment. He knew he was small and thin... so he could not see himself becoming a big wolf, even with his large and vivid imagination. Did she really think he would or could grow up into something great or big or not looking like him right now or was she just saying that to make up with him and his father. After a moment later, Taux wasn't really interested in knowing and just completely lost interest in it anymore. Other pups? This thought struck him. So his mawmaw was right.... well of course she was right! She was mawmaw after all! And mawmaw always knows... and knows best, right? The next few moments while Cresent spoke to his father were a bit fuzzy as he wasn't particularly listening anymore accept picking up a few words at a time like sincerely, accusation, wonderful little, and bundle of joy. And a few of these he picked up only because they were large words for him and he would ask his mawmaw later what they mean so he could add them to his vocabulary. Taux glanced at Cresent and saw the slight discomfort or sadness in her eyes. It suddenly made him feel very sad for saying anything or acting like he was very depressed by her words, even if he was a bit confused by them. There was then when she had started to speak about nice wolves she had met. For some odd reason, Tauxic didn't pay particular attention to it, especially since he was growing tired and the warmth of his father kept him comfortable. And since he had never heard his mawmaw called by her name, Lupa, he didn't find any interest in the name. He then looked up just in time to see her start to run off. Taux was suddenly dropped into complete confusion. Had his father said something that made Cresent upset and leave while Tauxic wasn't listening or did she say she had to leave? But when Tauxic was just about to turn around and ask his father, Cresent returned. Tauxic watched as he dropped the dead creature near him and ask for his forgiveness. Tauxic then felt really really bad for Cresent because she had no idea how much it made Taux sad to see dead animals and how it made his own blood run cold. But he couldn't just turn it down could he? He took in a large gulp of air in quietly as he stared at it then looked at Cresent. "Erm.... thank you miss... but you didn't need to erm... harm it (referring to the Jackalope)... I would be.... happy to forgive you without it..." He said as kindly as he could. But because it was already dead and he couldn't do anything about it (and his tummy was rumbling quite loudly yet no one else seemed to have noticed, not even himself until the food was presented) and hesitated, then sniffed it a bit and then slowly took a bite from it. He didn't exactly enjoy having to crunch on the meat of the cooling dead animal and yet there seemed to be another side to him that absolutely loved it. It felt like it was blood thirsty... it seemed to enjoy biting into the animal carcass. This made Tauxic very weary and he didn't like this kind of feeling at all. This feeling he knew was somehow connected to how he felt off about his father. Something just seemed off about everything except his mother and he didn't like it one bit. Tauxic sighed quietly. He seemed to be learning many things in a very quick time. For a moment, Taux shook the snow from on top of his head (the snow was becoming a bit harsher) and he looked at Cresent. "Thank.. you......... and I do forgive..you." He said to her then snugged closer to Coneiron.
