Height: 43 Inches
Weight: 160 lbs
Scent: Lavender, Ginger (Like a ginger bread cookie)A P P E A R A N C E:Charis is all fluid grace wrapped in a lithe body of sinew. Her frame is mostly built for speed, for evasion. Her limbs are long and give height to her slim body. Her paws are small with black pads. She has a deep, narrow chest that hosts overly large lungs that allow her to breathe more efficiently and allow her to exert huge amounts of stamina.
She is pale in color, a vibrantly colored white, like that of fresh undisturbed snow. The fur that coats her long, slim body is fine, but longish in length, very soft and silky to the touch. An interesting sight to witness is when Charis wanders into the sun: her whiteness seems to represent snow in more ways than one, for in the sun, there is the faintest shine to her coat, which resembles sun on fresh snow, glittering pleasantly in its light. It's a mark that signifies pure beauty, but it can be quite distracting in most cases which isn't always a good thing unless she has ill intentions. Charis, however, isn't pure white, for even she has the pretty blemishes of blue shades. Her eyes are framed in black, making the startling powder blue eye color appear even lighter. As her coat resembles snow in the sun her eye color seems to fade away to white when the light shines right in them, which can be quite startling at first sight. Around the black of her eyes is a very delicate but mildly ornate pattern of blue fading out from the outer corners of her eyes and curling ever so slightly along the structures of her face.
Charis' ears are also tipped in this blue color and are far longer than that of an average wolf. Another distracting feature of her coat would be the markings that decorate her lower half, from her flanks and backward along her rump and entirety of her tail. Her flanks, rump and long tail are covered in what looks like blue leopard pattern fading from the white around her flanks and increasing in intensity as they reach her rump and the long tail. The lower halves of her legs, however, appear to have been spared of this blue feline imitation, and appear as white as the rest of her body. The fur, also, on the back of her neck fades from a pale, icy blue to a deeper shade as it reaches the outer strands.
Charis has a need for being spotless clean, causing her to go through a daily and sometimes even painful grooming to near perfection. Therefore having tried everything she knew to hide any marks from her history, only the scar below Charis' eye and the scratches on her shoulder remain, to hold her past’s memories within.P O W E R . I N V E N T O R Y:Wind Element - Charis had been the favorite when it came to controlling powers in the family, as her father, Idris, also controlled wind (Hypatia, Snow; Einar, Light; Dextra, Snow;). The element of change and movement; unpredictably calm one moment and flying into a tempest the next. The quickest of the elements, but sometimes seen as the weakest (unless it is referred to as "sky" or "heaven"), therefore, what it lacks in raw power it makes up for in offensive and defensive maneuvers. Later on, once she is around the age of 6 years or maybe even 5, Charis will be in full control of her power which will then include weather manipulation. Even though the power is aligned with the sanguine temperament, wolves that are gifted with the power of wind are often cheerful, energetic, free spirits, but Charis and her father are nothing like that which makes them stand out.Power control:

P E R S O N A L I T Y:
Charis places great importance on having things orderly and systematic in her world. She puts a lot of energy into identifying the best system for getting things done, and constantly define and redefine what is in her life. On the other hand, she operates within herself on an intuitive basis which is entirely spontaneous. She puts a tremendous amount of faith into her instincts and intuitions. Charis would never admit to it, she has very strong sentimental streaks. Often these sentiments are very powerful to Charis and she does everything in her power to hide them from general knowledge, believing these feelings to be a weakness.
She is insanely protective of her inner self, her thoughts and feelings, only sharing what she chooses to share, when she chooses to share it, usually those who are similar to her. There are very few individuals who have ever been able to say that they "know" Charis. She is a deep, complex individual, who is quite private and typically difficult to understand. She always holds back a part of herself and is seen by others as secretive and generally untrustworthy. She trusts her own instincts above anyone else. This often results in stubbornness and a tendency to ignore other wolves' opinions. She believes she is right and that she is always right. On the other hand, Charis is also a perfectionist who always doubts that she is living up to her full potential. She is rarely at complete peace with herself -- there's always something else that she should be doing to improve herself. She believes in constant growth and doesn't take time to revel in her accomplishments when they come.
Charis is a natural born leader. She lives in a world of possibilities where she sees all sorts of challenges to be surmounted, and she wants to be the one responsible for surmounting them. She has a drive for leadership, which is well-served by her quickness to grasp complexities, her ability to absorb a large amount of impersonal information, and her quick and decisive judgments. She has always been a "take charge" kind of woman. Her mind is constantly gathering information and making associations about that information. She is tremendously insightful and is quick to understand new ideas. She is constantly scanning her environment for potential problems which she can turn into solutions. She generally sees things from a long-range perspective, and is usually successful at identifying plans to turn problems around.
There is not much room for error in Charis' world. She dislikes to see mistakes, hates to see mistakes repeated, and has no patience for idiots. She values intelligence, knowledge, and competence, and sets extremely high standards in these regards, which she continuously strives to fulfill. She has the same expectations of others and almost always feels let down because her standards are nearly impossible to be met. She becomes harsh when her patience is tried because she doesn't believe she should tailor her judgments in consideration for people's feelings. Because of this, Charis needs to consciously work on recognizing the value of other people's opinions. She can be forceful, intimidating, and overbearing. Charis has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which works for her as a force towards achieving her goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of alienation and self aggrandizement.
Charis is a very forceful, decisive individual. She makes decisions quickly and is quick to verbalize her opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. She often has brilliant ideas and insight into situations, and has the intuitive skill to act upon her understanding. Unfortunately, Charis has developed a generally less than ideal way to deal with others and comes off as dictatorial and abrasive -- intrusively giving orders and direction without offering explanation as to why and without consideration for the people involved. On the flip side, there is nothing more enjoyable and satisfying to Charis than having a exciting and lively chat with usually anyone. Next to everything else, Charis tends to show great and deep respect for those who have more knowledge, such as elders and alphas, and has a softer side for those who have less knowledge then herself, but are willing to learn. Having experienced much in her past and with her intelligence, she developed a need for passing her knowledge on, becoming a teacher in a way. Those times when she teaches she might seem like a different wolf, kinder and much less forceful with great enthusiasm in what she does.
Charis's interest in dealing with the world is largely to make decisions, express judgments, and put everything she encounters into her rational system. Consequently, she is quick to express judgments without offering her explanation and she often finds herself frequently misunderstood. In these cases, Charis tends to blame these misunderstandings on the limitations on the other party, rather than on her own difficulty in expressing herself. This tendency often causes her to dismiss others input too quickly and become generally arrogant and elitist. She is ambitious, self-confident, and deliberate. She dislikes the messiness and inefficiency in others, but she will ignore her own muddled or unclear habits.
Most people have a difficult time understanding Charis. She is typically seen as aloof and reserved, which can mostly be blamed on her upbringing. And, indeed, she is not overly demonstrative with her affections and is likely not to give as much praise or positive support that others may need or desire. That doesn't mean she doesn't truly have affection or regard for others, just that she simply does not feel the need to express it. Others may falsely perceive her to be rigid and set in her ways. Nothing could be further from the truth, because Charis is committed to always finding the objective best strategy to implement her ideas. It just takes a powerful and willful individual to make Charis listen to an alternative way of doing something.

Mother: Hypatia (deceased)
Father: Idris (alive, unknown location)
Siblings: Einar (alive, brother, same litter, unknown location) and Dextra (sister, same litter)
C H I L D H O O D:
Charis was raised into a social structure made up of a nuclear family: her father (Idris), her mother (Hypatia), and her two siblings (her brother Einar and her sister Dextra). Because she was not born into a large pack, she has never had to conform to the usual hierarchical structure. That isn't to say she has never had experience with large groups, just that she has never had to submit to the whims of an alpha. In fact she approves of the pack life, envies pack wolves even, for the security they provide. But she has seen the evil that packs can produce as well, usually in the form of cruel tyranny and zealous competition. Any interactions she has had with packs have been short, civil, and they were careful not to in-debt themselves to any leader.
Charis's childhood was something she considers to be modestly simple, even if it could be a little chaotic at times. She spent most of it moving around with her family, traveling along pack borders rather than crossing them, and generally avoiding confrontations with others as much as possible. The only time Charis remembers staying in one place was for the first seven months of her life, when it was impossible for herself and her litter-mates to be moved. During that time they resided within a small cave situated into the side of a steep mountain where they were protected from wandering predators. As soon as they were able, Idris and Hypatia took their children away from their mountain home and never stopped wandering afterwards.
The relationships she formed with her family had never been about love, but responsibility. The family that sticks together - survives. The family who doesn't - well, dies. Her parents relationship with each other had been cordial, but never affectionate. Idris did not believe in expressing affection towards anyone, even his family. Idris was cold, confident, and strong. Her mother Hypatia was fragile, quiet, and weak. Idris treated his children as "his legacy", but he only really needed a son to carry on his genetics, and for that reason he favored Einar. Her mother favored Dextra whose personality was similar to her own. That is not to say she was undesired, just that she did not have a place between her parents. As her father often said: she 'should have been born a boy'. Charis's personality was much closer to his own, and he related to her better than he did Einar, but he needed to control his son in a way he couldn't control his daughter.
Her relationships with her siblings were better than with her parents. She got along well enough with her sister, but she was best friends with her brother. Her sister was so much softer than she was, meek like their mother, and Charis found herself either bowling over her sister or just making Dextra cry. Charis ended up being more of a protector for her than a confidant. But they still cared for one another, just from a distance. On the other hand, she and her brother were inseparable throughout their childhood, and then most of their adulthood. They related to one another in a way they couldn't with the rest of their family, told each other everything. Unlike Charis, Einar did not want the regard and responsibility their father offered him. Einar wanted to run his life his own way, not be the construction project of his father. The family stayed together because they needed each other, not necessarily because they wanted each other.
A D U L T H O O D:
The summer of her second year they'd moved into a marshland territory. It was home not to any packs, but lone wolves largely consisting of the more vicious breeds that others were too afraid of or too disgusted with to interact with. The land was wet, tough to navigate, and the competition for prey was fierce. Life was tougher there than it had ever been. It wasn't until a scuffle with a rouge Yagi that ended with her sister Dextra being killed that things changed. Idris was angry at the world, Hypatia's became severely depressed, and both Einar and Charis were left to pick up the pieces. While Charis had never been as close to her sister as she was with her brother, she had still cared for Dextra and it was devastating to lose her. The remaining four fled the marshes and returned to safer lands.[/justify][/blockquote]
But things didn't get better. The next year was almost as difficult as the last. Idris was unbearable to be around and was constantly pressuring his son to do everything he said, wanting Einar to become a exact version of his father, wanting him to be stronger and better than anyone else. Hypatia tried hard bring Charis under her own wing, wanting to replace the gentle heart of Dextra, but Charis was nothing like her sister and they ended up fighting more than not. So Charis ended up spending more time with herself than anyone else. The relationship between Einar and herself also suffered. Einar was constantly feeling under pressure and Charis was constantly feeling underutilized. Charis envied the relationship Einar had with their father, while Einar envied Charis's freedom. They started to fight viciously about even the smallest of things and they couldn't talk to each other like they used to.
The summer of her third year everything changed for the worse. Her mother, Hypatia drowned when the river they'd settled down beside flooded during a heavy thunderstorm. Her father, still angry over his daughters death, was nearly beside himself in his grief and fury. Instead of handling it, he took it out on his remaining children, blaming them for everything that went wrong in his life. Einar couldn't stand to be near his father, and his relationship with Charis was too damaged to repair. He left without saying goodbye; he just walked away. She doesn't know his whereabouts or if he's even alive. Charis herself hadn't stayed long afterwards. Idris couldn't take being abandoned by his son, couldn't deal with the deaths of his mate and daughter, and Charis was not about to become his punching bag. Like her brother, she left, but she took the time to let her father know that she wouldn't be coming back to him. She does not doubt that her father is still alive, but she has no idea where he is or what he has been up to since they split apart. Charis is now in her fourth year. Alone it has been difficult, but not impossible to survive.
