Appearance: Eris is a mainly white wolf with some slight markings. His back legs are completely covered in black, and his paws are a shade lighter. His tail starts as a light blue, and is gradually gets darker as it goes to the tip of his tail. Eris has ears tipped in a purple-blue, and a light shade of blue is around his eyes, like a mask. Eris's eyes are two different colors, one purple and one icy blue. There is a light color of blue that runs down his neck, and stops at his chest. This color isn't solid, only at the tips of his hairs, so it makes you stop and look to see if the color is real. Eris's front paws are black, but the pads are a odd pinkish orange. His ears are shorter than most, but he can hear exceptionally well, despite that difference. He has a very light stripe going down his back, so light that you may not notice it at first. Eris has an odd talent of smiling wider than you can possibly think possible, in a manner almost like the Cheshire cat. He moves quite slowly, as if he was taking his time, but if provoked, he can move faster. He has a large scar down his side from a fight with a leader of an group. His scent is that of a mix of pepper and fog. Eris likes to blend in with the scenery, a feat that proves to be very difficult. How does he do this? Eris has a different color undercoat. It is mainly a green-brown, and he has managed to learn how to ruffle his fur to completely hide the white in his fur and show the undercoat. His skin, is also a different shade, black. So on a windy day, it will give you the illusion of his fur changing colors. But most of the time you will see him as he is, a white, blue, and purple wolf.
Other: Eris's voice is light, smooth, and sometimes airy.
Mental
Strengths:
* Smart. He uses the resources at hand to solve a problem.
* Tolerant. Eris can take a few physical and emotional beatings.
* Calm. Eris is mainly calm and cool, and willing to help.
* Sure of what he can do. This is good and bad. Eris knows what his full potential is, so he never really tries to push himself to be greater.
* Storyteller. Eris can create great short stories to tell himself when he's alone.
* A master of disguise. He can swallow his emotions and put on a smile, just like a mask.
Weaknesses:
*Disappointed. Eris has never really seen a purpose in life for himself.
* Independent. A little too so. It's good to be able to live alone, but Eris seems to hate the idea of living with others. Deep down, he's afraid of judgment.
* Secretive. Eris is a good wolf, but what he never does is tell anyone of himself. To many he has lied to about his past.
* A chameleon. Eris's personality differs from one person to the next. He blends in with the crowd, from rowdy to quiet. This adds to the problem.
* Depressed. He will often sit on a rock or a stump and just stare, blankly out into the distance.
* Confused. Eris suffers from amnesia, and he can't remember who he is. He's tried on different personalities that he's picked up from other wolves, but he just can't find the right one. He is constantly searching for clues as to who he is.
Personality: Eris is a mainly calm wolf. He constantly searching, but for what he doesn't know. He knows it has something to do with his past, but he just can't remember what. He hopes that if he finds it he'll remember who he is and what happened before he lost his memory. He likes to mutter to himself little stories when he is alone to distract his mind from his situation. Eris likes to try on personalities of other wolves, just to know what it feels like. He wants to be alone, and he probably won't join a pack anytime soon. He sometimes goes hunting just to rent out his frustration, and as a result most of his prey turns up shredded. He really wishes only one thing, and that was to remember. So simple a wish, and it couldn't be granted! Sometimes he gets angry and frustrated, other times he just gets depressed. Sometimes he has no emotion at all. Poor guy.
History: Eris's story starts when he was only 3 months old, during a thunderstorm. A bolt of lightning hit a tree, causing it to fall and smash open the den. Eris survived, however, because his mother has picked him up and thrown him out. Once the dust had settled, his mother was dead, crushed by the large conifer. Blood pooled around her, and in a way, the scene almost seemed unreal, with the lightning casting ghostly shadows all around. Eris ran far, far away from that indecent, only to find a rouge wolf waiting for him. The wolf was rabid, and it's glazed eyes locked on to Eris's shaking body. It uttered a low growl, deep in it's throat, and attacked, lunging for the pup's neck. Eris yelped and scrambled to get away. He backed up against a boulder. There he huddled down, waiting for the feeling of sharp fangs against his skin. Nothing happened. He opened one eye, looking at the rabid wolf. It stood there, swaying, foam dribbling from it's mouth. This got him angry.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead! Do it!" Eris was tired of the fear, of the anticipation. He took a step forward, anger in his eyes. The rabid wolf took a step back, in disbelief, as smoke began to form around the pup. This was enough to scare him off. He yelped, fear causing him to run away, crashing through the forest. Eris was surprised by this sudden action, for he had not even noticed the smoke. He suddenly felt tired, as if all the energy had been sucked out of his limbs. He curled up against the boulder, and fell asleep.
Eris awoke to the sound of paws crunching against the fall leaves. He opened his eyes blearily, and noticed that his feet were off the ground, and he was swaying from side to side. He looked up and saw that a large female keyiou was carrying him, not too softly. He squirmed to be let free, and she bit his scruff harder, drawing blood. " OW!" Eris cried. "Quiet." She growled. Eris whimpered softly. She had traveled north, away from his den. Where is she taking me? He asked himself.
A few hours had passed, and the scenery was changing. The female was bringing him to a gorge of some sort. The trees were black and menacing, and Eris shivered as he thought of claws, reaching out to get him. The keyiou brought him to a camp of some sort, and other wolves rushed out to meet her. These wolves weren't too good, either. They all had scars, all over, and their eyes glowed red and menacing. The largest wolf stopped in front of him. "Welcome back, No Ears. I see you brought fresh meat." He laughed and looked Eris in the eye. "Don't worry, runt. We won't eat ya. We'll take care of ya, and turn ya into the best warrior yet!" He turned away. "It's time for the outcasts to turn back against the packs. It's time for chaos to return!"
And so they fed him musty water and rotted prey. They trained him hard, constantly, and soon his fur lost it's luster, and his eyes dulled. He moved like a ghost, heartlessly shuffling his feet across the floor. The wolves told him that they had killed all of his family, and that there was no hope for him at all. Eris believed it, and stayed with the group. This was his family now. The next year, the wolves held a fighting competition against one another. They all jeered at Eris, for he was too little to possibly win against the others. Certainly he will be killed, they said. Eris overheard, and soon anger and feeling returned to him. Let them think that! I'll show them! I'll beat the leader! He thought. The next day, the competition started. He was nervous, all right, but that didn't stop the anger from coming fourth. The first wolf he had came up against had almost beat him, but at the last few seconds, Eris came up and snapped at his neck, tearing it open. The wolf didn't die, but was not able to fight any longer due to the wound, so Eris won that one. The next wolf he fought was even harder, but Eris was fast, and he quickly raked his claws against the wolf's face, blinding him. But Eris didn't stop. Hearing the cheers of the other wolves, chanting Eris, Eris, Eris! Made him go further. He bit the wolf's neck, slicing the main artery, and killed him. Standing there, hearing his name, covered in blood, Eris felt a terrible feeling. He liked it.
Eris soon became a champion fighter, winning his way to the top of the battles. Finally, he had to face the all-time winner, the Leader. "Good luck, runt." He said. "You'll need it in hell." The battle started, and instantly the leader started winning. He pinned down Eris, laughing. Eris kicked the leader, scratching his stomach with his sharp claws. The leader snarled and stepped back, allowing Eris to jump up. Eris went for the throat, like he always did, but the leader was already there. He bit Eris, digging his fangs deep into his side, tearing a rip from his shoulder to his haunches. This should've killed him, but suddenly the leader pulled back, howling. The little wolf was on fire! Flames leaped at the leader, making him jump back. The fire soon went down, and Eris was still standing! The flame was so hot that it sealed the wound at almost the same time it had opened!
The leader stood back. He had never seen this before. When he was small, he had heard talk of wolves that could control the elements, but never believed it. Eris was as surprised as he was. But not for long. He lunged for the leader, still stunned, and bit him, tearing open his neck. All of the other wolves stood, shocked, as the leader bled out, his life leaving him. One wolf turned toward Eris. "Well, what are you waiting for? He killed our leader! Attack him!'
They drove Eris far away, and cornered him on the edge of a cliff. Eris looked at them. He was still in shock. The killing rage left him, leaving him only with pain. So many! He had ended so many lives! Eris took a step back. He would fight no longer. He turned around, stood on the ledge....And jumped.
The wolves looked down. He was gone. They murmured and walked away, disappointed. What they didn't know was that Eris was alive, and very much so. When Eris had jumped, he had landed in a river. The river carried him downstream, but soon the current became violent. It tossed him around and around, until he came to a waterfall. He would've never survived the fall, if it hadn't been for a large rock standing in the way. He slammed into it, bumping his head hard, and slid onto the rock, knocked out.
The next morning, he woke, but with no memory of the indecent. He didn't know he was a murderer, nor that he had the ability to control fire. A small stone his mother gave him had fallen out of a pouch he had weaved, so he didn't even have anything to remind him of his mother. Instead he swam out of the river, built a den, and lived there for many months, trying to figure out what happened. He eventually wandered into the Y'vit cove, and has stayed there ever since.
Other: Eris's power is fire.
