"Speaking" Diamanta swam through the murky waters, tail snaking back and forth with sure and solid strokes as her webbed paws pushed her forward without abandon. The island loomed near and it was her destination for the day was just beginning and she needed a resting place from her nightly travels, preferring the night hours to the harsh day light. Her night had been a rather slow one as she had continued her travels through the swamp, determined to see the land before finally settling down into a pack. Memories of that heated night continued to wreak havoc on her self-discipline, she had known leaving would be hard, but she had never expected the repercussion to be so vivid or painful. Every cell of her body called out, demanding she return to the cold land and find her night prince and yet her bull headed determination to travel prevented her return.
She would travel back north again, she promised herself, and probably the trip would be made sooner than later for what was travel when one’s mind stayed in one place? Finally the water began to grow shallow and her feet rested upon land and with a sigh she heaved herself upon land, the sun’s morning rays coming to rest upon her glimmering scale turning them into liquid fire. Her destination was the large tree in the middle of the island where she would dig out the soft earth and lay in the cool shadows while the heat of the day passed. Weary from the taxing emotions she was feeling she let her tail trail behind her without much ceremony, moving across some thick roots. Finally the tree loomed near and she looked at the horizon where the sun was steadily rising into the brightening sky to meet the day. It would be a glorious one at that, and day creatures would be out and about their daily activities with renewed vigor, of this she had no doubt.
Moving to the base of the tree she used her sturdy paws to dig between some large roots and squeezed into the resulting nest formation, wrapping her tail about her body and placing the fish she was carefully conserving in her maw on its surface to enjoy what she considered to be her supper. Memories of the sinful snarls he had ushered splayed across her mind as she absentmindedly pushed at the fish with a clawed paw, a look of longing on her maw. She had but one place left to visit before she returned, and it would not be soon enough in her humble opinion. Would he still be there? What if he had taken possession of another in her absence? It might become the death of her, but she had a feeling that this time she would fight to regain hold of her dark lover. Not the type to prey on other’s catch, Diamanta rarely stole away another female’s male. However she would make a distinct exception this time and claim what she considered rightfully hers or die trying.

rylee . mckay "If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky You can hide underneath me when you come out at night When I turn jet black and you show off your light I live to let you shine." Right at the earliest hours of the day, when light was just barely gracing the earth from the sun, was when Rylee awoke on her side. It was strange how such little light could wake someone; though, she found it acustom to her every-day routine. Her fur felt like it was sticking to her body and she felt rather cold. She couldn't recall where she had been the night before. Shivering, she groggily opened her eyes. "... Wh're...am ah?" She tiredly glanced around where she lay.
There were some trees around her, most of them having their bases submerged within water. She had never seen such a place, never having been to a swamp. It was strange to see it, foreign. She was terribly confused. Where was she? "Ugh... I must'a passed ou'..."
She slowly rolled onto her stomach, groaning with exhaustion as she lifted her head. It was an ordinary thing for her to pass out now-a-days; she could rarely get a good nights sleep. It had been years since she had. Taking a better look around her, she suddenly felt like all eyes were on her. Like there was something watching her in the swamps. It made her shiver more. She suddenly felt very itchy and sat up, scratching furiously wherever her paws could reach. There was dried up mud and muck all through her fur, from her previous night she presumed. "Awh.. Well ain't that jus' great!" She growled. She hated being dirty and unclean. Her cleanliness was her way of hiding how malnourished her body really was. Now, you could see the indents of her ribs on her sides. She wasn't a hunter, so she couldn't very often get much food for herself. Sighing in irritation, she gently rose on shaky legs. "I need t'a find some watah..." She drew in the scents around her, only to sneeze when she tried. There was even mud in her nose! She tried pawing at it, thought it only made it worse. She grunted with more frustration. How was she supposed to find water without her accute nose? What a day this was turning out to be. She decided to just start walking in a random, as she always did.
It was a short while before Rylee stopped again. The sun was beginning to rise, causing her heart to jump-start the aching she felt daily. It always seemed to start right when the sun was shining for the new day, when she knew it would be another day alone. She lifted her head and attempted to use her nose again. There was still mud there, though now she could pick up the smell of water. Feeling a little happier, she began to lazily stroll towards it.
It turned out to be a creek. The water looked free from the mud in the rest of the swamp, at least on the surface. She quickly jumped in, wanting to get all of the dried up muck from her fur. The cold water splashing against her made her yip, but she got over the icey water and began cleaning herself. It was no time before she was clean. She twisted around in the water, even letting a small smile sprout on her face. It actually felt kind of refreshing in the cold water.
The female finally noticed the small island not too far off. It seemed rather barron, it not for a tree or two and some large rocks. Feeling like there was not much else she could spend her time doing, she decided to venture to the island.
Only a few minutes and she felt her paws hit the banks of the island. She pulled herself onto the shore, not noticing the other female sitting on the beach. Rylee shook her fur furiously and snorted the last of the mud from her nose, giving out a sigh of relief. As soon as it was gone, the scents quickly filled her nostrils. There were suddenly faint scents of wolves who had been here before, and also one not so faint. She was in fact not too far from where Rylee was.
The Yagi quickly whipped around in it's direction, now wide awake from her bath. The female was standing not too far off, minding her own business. She narrowed her amber eyes and called out to the female.
"Ah, I'm s'rry, I din' know there was sm'one else here. Is it yers?" She said, referring to the island. Normally she didn't jump right into conversation, but she didn't want to tresspass on another loners territory; she was hardly in any condition to defend herself if they ended up hostile. With the island being so small, it could in fact act as a home for a lone wolf. The female seemed rather comfortable with her little set up too.
"But you can skyrocket away from me Never come back if you find another galaxy Far from here, with more room to fly Just leave me your stardust to remember you by..." Ahhh... This really sucks I have no muse for starting posts xDD

"Speaking" OOC:Sorry for the terribly crappy reply... --- Diamanta was just beginning to doze when she heard faint ripples and splashes in the water, alerting her to the presence of another being. Opening one eye groggily she watched half heartedly as a rather small looking yagi made its way onto shore, surprised that in such a depth of wilderness she should meet another being. Remaining still she decided to keep to her own company, quietly watching the wolf make its way onto shore, looking rather hungry and emaciated. Must be a fellow loner, she thought, though why she looks so thin is rather beyond me. Diamanta had long ago finished devouring her flavourful fish, delighting in the soft flaky flesh that simply melted in her mouth. The gaian wasn`t one for red or bloody meat, in fact she shied away from it at all cost given her stomach tended to repel the rich food without any qualms.
No, fish and delightful crustaceans were the life for her, and she refused to live anywhere she could not get her sharp webbed paws on some fishy food. Wrinkling her nose she could but only wonder how other wolves managed to ingest the dark meat, her delicate stomach convulsing at the very thought. Diamanta continued to watch the unaware wolf, eyes resting on the spray of water flying through the air, dispersing into beads that glittered in the rising sunlight. I wonder how long it will take until she notices me, mused the gaian, awww, there we are... The yagi seemed to have finally taken into account the gaian`s presence and Diamanta decided to remain seated, dis-inclined to leave the comfort of her makeshift den. Besides, there were no need for formalities, neither of them had any ranks and she doubted whether the yagi was from any pack. And it was just as well, Diamanta was not in the mood to take upon false airs, no, she considered herself to be more of the down to earth sinfully sexy type, though the thought that the two descriptions clashed never crossed her dainty mind.
Curious vision was the female to behold, rather small for one of her breed given the immense brute Diamanta had enjoyed sharing a night with recently. Her cool eyes observed her acquaintance directly, deciding she had nothing to fear from the other female`s presence. A slight shrug of her shoulders served to answer her question, her deep and melodious voice finally speaking, “Oh no, nothing of the sort, you`re free to use it to your guise. I believe we are both loners here; you may call me Diamanta if you wish. I did not know yagis were prone to swimming...” She raised a brow, rather intrigued as to what sort of a companion she was now faced with, perhaps some conversation to pass the day would be a better idea. Great Spirits knew that she would not be getting any restful sleep, her dreams were always plague with the soft growls and rough touch of her taigan yagi charmer.

rylee . mckay "If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky You can hide underneath me when you come out at night When I turn jet black and you show off your light I live to let you shine." Rylee stood there for a moment, watching her warily. She could never be sure who would try to chase her out or not. Though, the female seemed fairly calm as she stayed in her den. The Yagi relaxed her muscles, knowing there was a slim chance that the two would get in a tumble.
She took a few steps towards her, smelling the fish in the air. Her stomach growled uneasily and she winced. "Awh, hush nao," she scolded herself. The female shrugged to her question. Sitting on her haunches, Rylee blinked at the beautifully colored wolf.
"'Uh pleasure to meet yah aquaintence, Diamanta. I'm Rylee M'Kay." She spoke softly, offering a small friendly smile. She shrugged towards her question. "Awh, I w's just washin' when I saw this here lil' island. Thought th're wasn' much else t'uh do." Rolling her amber optics to her own words, she sighed. There really wasn't much else for her to do. Well, besides walking; and she always walked. Nothing but taking one step after the other. No where to go, no one to see, to place to be. It was how her life was since her banishment.
Once again, the scent of the fish waffed through her nostrils. She shook her head, trying to get it out of her accutly equipped nose. Her stomach proceeded to growl faintly. "Damn it! I know yah hungry but there ain't anythin' I can do at th' moment!" She huffed quietly to herself and regained her composure.
Opening her eyes and looking over the female, she saw how splendid her fur was. She hadn't come across many wolves with such beautiful colors in their pelt. She couldn't quite say what her breed was. She didn't come in contact with wolves very often, nor did she care much to find out their breed when she did meet one. It just wasn't something that came up; but this female had a gorgeous pelt, and the voice to match. Rylee couldn't help but submit to her nagging mind that she was a little envious of her. She seemed to do quite well on her own. Yet Rylee, hah, she couldn't even though. She bit her lip. She hated to feel inferior to others who knew how to do things she couldn't.
Pushing the thoughts to the back of her head, she noticed the female seemed rather comfortable in her little bed...like she was about to sleep. Rylee suddenly felt rude. What if the female had been trying to sleep? She had just barged in here like she owned the place. Lowering her muzzle apologetically, she opened her maw and spoke gently. "Ah dear, I'm so s'rry, did ah wake yah up?" She lifted a paw and slowly began making small marks in the sand beneath her.

"Speaking"
- - - It was hard to be mad with someone whom seemed so..so lost. Yes, perhaps that`s what it was, the yagi looked a little lost though hardly in the traditional sense. Using her emoticon powers Diamanta peeked at the other`s aura, noting the subdued and unsaturated colors as though once vibrant hues had suffered some kind of dulling process. Perhaps this accounted for the other wolf`s disposition? Diamanta didn`t really care to pry and in fact had no interest in hearing other`s tales of woe, she simply wanted to have fun and get the most out of life that she possibly could manage. However it didn`t sit well with her that one should be so free and uninhibited should feel so lifeless. The yagi had the world at the tips of her paws; she could travel wherever she pleased without being told how to live. Frankly such a life style should have been one of a party animal, such as what Diamanta considered herself, and it was a right shame to find one not enjoying it.
Well Diamanta had an idea as to what might make matters better, Rylee`s wet coat showed her thinness and it just so happened that Diamanta was a rather proficient fisher. Soothingly she said, “Oh no, my thoughts were keeping me rather awake, I have a hunk who distract me even so far away.” She sighed, a hungry look upon her maw before she shook her head and came back to the present. Damn that brute for doing this to me, she though vehemently, she was stuck on a hormone high that only seemed to get worse with every passing day. Twirling about she moved to the edge of the cool water, looking into the shallows with intent and spotting what she thought she turned her head over her shoulder and gave Rylee a conspiring wink. Quick as a whip she moved into action, diving into the water rapidly and shooting through the shallows as she dived into the deeper water with a powerful flick of her tail.
For a while the surface remained errily calm, as though the waters had swallowed the gain up and were holding prisoner in their embrace. The sun came to pierce the surface, filtering into the murkier depths as something moved with lightning speed, ripples following in its wake and with a flash of light on scales Diamanta broke the surface in a half breech. Paddling with sure and calm strokes back to the island`s shore she moved onto land, a couple catfish caught in her maw. A glint of satisfaction breathed life into her eyes as she dropped one casually beside the yagi with a flippant twist of her tail in passing. “Feelin` fishy dear?” She said with a grin on her face and a toss of her hips. The water on her body formed beads over her silky scales and dripped onto the ground as she flopped down in a cropping of rushes, beginning to munch on her flavourful swamp treat. Lifting her eyes after a second she said, “D`you ever feel like a little pick-me-upper? It is said there are wolves that can influence emotions...I think it would be interesting to see what they could do for a person.” Her voice came out without betraying her thoughts, for a little plan had formed in her mind.

OOC: I hope its ok for me to join in ^_^ Laracal stepped through the mist, half closing her eyes in pleasure. Here she was, in the swamp. Or what she liked to think of it as, her own private little spot. Not all that private, apparently. She made a slight huffing noise at the sight of two more wolves-both females. One a Yagi, the other belonging to a species she'd never seen before. They were still a ways off, engaged in a conversation, so Laracal was fairly certain she was still shrouded from their view. For a while she watched them interact. The pale one, she looked more dominant. I hope neither of them live here. She fretted slightly, fearing for her paradise. Then, ever so slowly, she started to make her way towards them, picking her way through using the plethora of fallen logs. She was careful not to make a sound- not because she was scared of the others. No, she simply didn't wish to be eaten by an alligator today. Maybe tomorrow, she smiled to herself, silently chuckling at her own lame joke. It seemed like forever before she even reached the island. This would be so perfect... She could make out skeletons in the shallower parts. The alligators prey, dead, but not burried. About a decade later she finally was within shouting distance of the other two, but she didn't speak. No, not yet. She paused. It was so beautiful here, what a waste it would be to not stop to appreciate it. She loved swamps, in all their grimy, mossy glory. She loved the stingy, murky brown waters crawling with alligators, ready to chomp you in half. Their was such a miracle to it all, a crazy mish-mashed miracle. She sighed, taking up her gentle stride once more. What she really liked, besides seclusion, was that it was dark and full of shadows, so that her own disappeared. Out of sight and out of mind, right? She stood, a few yards away. She came to a dead halt. "Hello, there, its nice to meet you," she all but whispered. "My name is Laracal, and I hope it isn't too rude to ask you yours?" Her voice carried in the breeze, delicate as a spider's web. Her lip twitched slightly at the sight of the fish; she'd never seen a meal look so unappealing, and that, coming from her was really saying something.
