These waters felt different to the wolf. He was so used to the healing properties the ocean held. Not that the yagi was hurt in any fashion. He just enjoyed how rejuvenated he felt afterwards.
Crow felt this water was cleaner though. He dove below the surface and snapped at a couple of stray fish. He came back up empty-mawed however. Lady luck was not on the wolf's side this lovely afternoon. He felt himself straying more towards Tor lately, hoping they could repair the gap that had been established between them. Though Lio was becoming wary of this and almost always made sure he was around crow or tor when they tried to get together.
What was the big deal? He told him he wasn't interested in Tor like that if she wasn't. He paused in the water as his face turned red. Unless Tor feels that way back and Lio knows?! Nah, he wouldn't keep a secret like that away from him if it was still obvious Crow still had a soft spot for her back. Right?
He came out onto shore to shake off and try to clear his head. Maybe someone else could come by and take his mind off of things for a bit?

For once, she didn't feel like diving straight into the water, instead she felt like running. Of course, being a cael, she kept stumbling over her dainty paws but she hadn't fallen yet. It seemed that the long journey the circus had to endure to reach the Lake pack had improved her agility on land. She could feel her leg muscles starting to burn and it was an exhilarating sensation. She revelled under the scorching sunlight, feeling her soft teal coat warming up. Tortoiseshell ran and ran. Then she suddenly stopped, dropping toward the sandy ground. The small cael lay sprawled there, panting and her silver eyes staring at the lake, marvelling at its crystal clear water. The sea was beautiful but not as beautiful as this lake. This lake was a jewel, a tame diamond whereas the sea was a wild goddess. The ocean was much harder to swim in compared to the lake but Tor liked challenges.
She rolled so that she was lying on her back and closed her eyes, allowing her thoughts to drift her away from this place. Now what did she think of this place and its pack? The pack wolves were rather polite and sophisticated, and everything seemed to be at peace here. Rather dull, she had to admit. Keinvarii, the leader, looked nice enough and she loved her striking eyes. They reminded her of the deep colour of twilight sky. Generally the pack was welcoming and Tor wondered if the future packs the circus would visit would be like the Accord. She hoped so because she did not like the idea of having a pack kicking them out. She didn't know how it would affect them all, especially after more travelling. Would they turn back, even after walking to the far north? She shook her head; Leo would make sure that this wouldn't happen. He wasn't stupid.
Her heart skipped a beat, as it always did whenever she thought about Nelio. However her mouth grew dry when Crow invaded her thoughts. His confession had completely changed the way she saw him and, as the result, thoughts with both Leo and Crow didn't normally end happily. She fell against her side, feeling the little pebbles poking her cheeks. She liked Crow and was very pleased that he was her friend again, and she still liked Leo very much but... Now Tor was becoming more aware of tension between them two. She desperately wanted to blame this on Crow, as he must have started all this, but she couldn't as she knew it wasn't his fault.
If Tortoiseshell was being honest, Leo wasn't right for her, Crow was. If she was being brutally honest, she would rather to have her heart beating for Crow instead for Leo. But she wasn't. Her ignorance allowed her to hide in her infatuation for the male cael and she was happy with that for now. She rolled to her belly and moved into a more comfortable position. Her slender head turned to the lake and instantly she spotted something coming up the shore. Crow! She shouted at the wet figure as his familiar scent hit her nose. She leapt to her paws and bounced toward him, excited to see her best friend. What's up? Her ears twitched quizzically. [/scrolly] |

The yagi peered around when a sudden thought hit him and his eyes matched up with a familiar circus member's face. He had not really spoken or held a conversation with the beautiful sea colored female cael. He put on a goofy grin as he felt their tattered friendship reconnect again, from what had been a long time ago.
"Tor? Is it really you?! I was beginning to wonder if the rest of the circus had left without me.."
The yagi chuckled lightly as he rushed up to meet her. Their bodies and scents mixing again. He took his time to relish in the feeling. It was true, he had missed her dearly as they rarely had time to themselves anymore like before the other cael came along and offered them somewhat of a small pack or group. He wanted nothing more than to feel her up against him. Was that wrong? He forced his infatuation away, remembering how the two stood with each other. He just wanted them to fill the gap with each other and be as close of friends as they were before. Back to normal.
"I really think you are getting the hang of this 'land' thing."
Crow smiled at her as he drew away from her and sat down on the loose dirt. He began to wonder where they would be heading next, wondering if this was it and they were disbanding after only one performance... though he was sure this wasn't the case. The yagi just liked to make sure he took every possibility into account, in case he became a loner again. What would Tor do after this was all over? Would everything be like it was before? Just them at the cove?
"What's gunna happen when the circus disbands Tor? Do you know what you want to do after that? Just go back to the cove like before?" He felt like asking her himself, but he left himself out of that picture. He would probably go to one of the packs they visited and he enjoyed the most. It was about time he got into one anyways. But if the cael asked, he would have a simple reply.
