"Speaking" Diamanta walked upon the rocky shore, a look of discontent upon her sleek maw as her scales rippled with restlessness. Her long ebony black claws racked across one rock as she paused to sharpen them into deadly pointed defensive armor, her terrible long tail lashing out with pent up frustration. What was she to do? Surely she could not join a pack in which she had yet to find a suitable companion? And yet she could no more remain loner either, the danger was too extreme even if she could hold her own reasonably well. A dainty snarl of dissatisfaction escaped her maw, where were all the beaus that this land had a reputation of conserving?! Well it was enough to drive a sexy belle such as herself stark raving mad, and her aqua and cerulean blue eyes flashed her feelings for the world to see; it simply wasn`t fair!
Prowling up and down the length of the shore she glance at the water that reflected the twinkling starts, shrouded in a mild mist that seemed to shine from the light of the moon, contemplating a frolic in its dark depths. She was a gaian afterall, and her scaly body, webbed paws and powerful tail were made for the joys of aquatic movement and it had been awhile since she had enjoyed the comfort of a silky lake water, so much softer and smoother than most sources. Sighing she let her shoulders droop and proceeded to waltz into the water, enjoying the way it gradually became deeper until she had to swim to stay atop the surface. Slicing lazily through the small waves the female let the moon caress the ripples cause by her movements as the mist encircled her body, casting it in an opaque sheen.
With solid languid strokes she propelled herself deeper, ducking under the surface and unleashing a fluid movement that cause her to shoot forward rapidly, diving deep and then rising with gathered speed as she burst from the lake and dived back into its depths, much like a dolphin, repeating the movements for a bit in an aquatic dance. The moon was her spot light, the lake was her stage and with a sensual voice that spoke of forbidden desires she sang to the night, the sound echoing off the lake and into the distance. Revived she let herself float upon her bath of diamonds, the stars creating the crystal illusions on the waves and serving to highlight the iridescent silver sheen that topped her scales. This was the only true place she would ever be full, the only time she could ever truly fell like she belonged and the inky black liquid welcomed her with open arms no matter how many times she cheated and left it for the land.
It was an ethereal union between nature and spirits, a calling from one soul to the other that drove her to dive into the enthralling cool abyss and indulge in an ecstasy that only the watery paradise could give her. Feeling considerably more relaxed she let herself float, letting the water carry but ensuring she did not drift to close to pack lands. She had heard this pack was slightly prickly about intruders, though it was said nothing horrid ever happened to them unlike the Mafia, something to do with sanctuary, she mused half heartedly. Alone in her own company she fell into a meditative state, listening to the lake waves fall upon the shores, about the only sound in the calm night.

Every single words Scorch said were still playing over and over again in Red's mind but not in a pleasant way. Guilt began to heave itself on his paws as he got closer to his destination. This felt wrong, really wrong but since Scorch hired him and this was his life he had to do it. But there was something that kept telling him that there was no definite in this situation; sure, this was his life but he also made a promise to Keinvarii. A promise that would be disastrous for her and her pack if he happened to break it. And he was breaking it right now. For what? That diplomatic immunity. That damn immunity. However, this offer would be useful as he would be able to enter the dreadful jungle of the Mafia. But why would he want to venture deep into that territory? The white lupus knew there were some dark secrets there and, being an explorer, how he longed to uncover them all.
This mixed feelings were driving him insane and he felt like faking his death and changing his identity again. He looked around him, and saw nothing except for the familiar slopes that lead him to the lake. Soon he felt his pace had slowed significantly ever since he entered the land of the Lake Amaranthyst. This was becoming real; something he wanted to avoid. He exhaled and the question popped in his mind: Why did he care about the Accord? The Centena Accord was just another pack. Packs come and go, nothing, not even the Empire, the oldest pack which had just disbanded, last for ever. He twitched his ears decisively; the Accord meant nothing to him. It was just a pack and, being a loner, he shouldn't worry about it too much. Now that he had finished brooding over this, Red should think which tactic he would need to spirit Isealdyr away. It should be silent and undetected, just like killing someone but this mission was to bring someone to the Don alive so his poisonous ability won't help him with this situation. Red's gentle brown eyes glanced upwards to the night sky, perhaps this darkness could give him some advantage.
He sniffed and moved closer to the lake shore to drink. Carefully keeping his paws away from the lapping water, he bent down to touch the water with his tongue. It was refreshing and cool, sending him a fresh wave of calmness. Just what he needed. Red withdrew from the shore and an odd figure bobbing in the water attracted his eyes. He wrinkled his muzzle and retreated a little more, water didn't please him. In fact, it had no use except to quench a wolf's thirst so he did not understand what he was seeing. However, he was enchanted by the beauty of the moon reflection, and the mystery of this swimming wolf so he sat down. It would be nice to have a moment to rest and forget his problems. Just for a moment. The lonely, tall figure sat and gazed at the mysterious silhouette swimming in the rippling mirror.

"Speaking" Diamanta was just beginning to drift off into a peaceful daze when a faint sound reached her ears from the shore, causing her to suck in her breath rapidly. Was there someone out there watching her in the night? A small shudder of apprehension rolled down her spine as she glanced nervously through the mist shrouding the shore. All of a sudden she felt rather exposed and open to being prey and the thought froze her body solid as she dared not make another sound. This is silly, she scolded herself, get moving! Slowly and with grim resolve she began her swift ascent out of the lake, ears swiveled forward to catch any aggressive sounds. Her sturdy paws finally made contact with the slippery and smooth rocks of the shore and she tried her best to slink out of the water quietly, nervously glancing about to try and find the source of her apprehension.
A slight movement from the corner of her eye drew her attention and a flash of light on a pale pelt alerted her to the other wolf`s position and immediately she grew on the defensive. Scales bristling slightly she wondered what was more disconcerting, the wolf`s unbelievable silence or the exotic marking along his body, either way it was giving her the creeps in the dead of the night and she resisted the urge to shake off this fear. It is just a silly male, like all others, she tried to comfort herself, now stop standing there like a useless toad and do something. Diamanta had a tendency to talk to herself with tough love, perhaps it was her inclination to think down upon herself that caused this negative habit of self criticism, but either way it was of no importance given she did not enjoy considering such deep matters.
Frankly thoughts such as those tended to lead to her past, and that was not a place that Diamanta ever wanted to revisit again, to say the very least. Giving the male wolf a contemplative look she finally decided to speak. “I am afraid to say you took me off guard, it is the only excuse I can give you for my staring.” Her words were not fanciful, she was not known for having an eloquent speech although her deep rhythmic voice was certainly enough to make up for the short coming. If anything the gaian was prone to being rather forth coming, not having been taught much about discretion and her direct curious gaze certainly indicated a general lack of shyness and reservation.
He certainly was an odd looking male, and had she not been infatuated with her dark lover from the taiga she would have found herself attempting to make advances. Her only guess was that he was a lupus, the distinct markings and lack of other décor seeming to indicate this species, though she had been known to be wrong before. Giving her scales a small enough shake to not catch the male in the spray she stretched her lithe and shapely limbs unceremoniously, completely at ease with herself and gave the male a shrug. She would do what she must, though she had certainly taken care that her ministrations bore no effect on him. Speaking languorously she said, “All the same, whom am I to turn down such interesting looking company, you may call me Diamanta if you wish.” She gave him a coquettish smile, light and easy was the way she felt tonight and Diamanta was determined not to ruin her mood.

You may punch me in the face.
Red stayed in the exact same position, just staring at this curious swimming stranger, even as this stranger started to swim up to the shore close to him. He did not realise, or perhaps did not care, that in the dark, having a lone rouge staring at a female swimming in the lake alone might be a little sinister. All he cared about right now was to calm himself, and to ensure that his thoughts were steady, and remain so for the rest of his mission. The female stepped onto the shore silently a few metres away from him, but his brown eyes weren't on her; they were still fixed on the lake where the female was a few moments ago. He had no interest in eyeing up this female, or at least look at her. The only fact about her that interested her was that she liked water enough to swim in it. But then, judging from her swimming skills, she must be a water species. He thought she was a cael but if he cared enough to look at her, he would realise how wrong he was. However, he was aware that this stranger was standing still, perhaps staring at him. This was confirmed by this female as she spoke. A tiny smile formed on Red's lips, he was right as usual. "Yes," was all he said in a reply.
His reply showed how uninterested Red was in having this conversation. But this female didn't go away; she stayed there in the same place. She wasn't going to go away, was she? He turned his head to look at her, and blinked once as he realised that she wasn't a cael. No cael could dry off that fast, and no cael had scales on her pelt. She couldn't be a lupus either; no lupus was that good swimmer, and no lupus had scales on her pelt either. She was really an odd beast. Slowly, Red looked at her up and down, determined to take in any odd feature that set her apart from other species. She had a sleek blue-purple pelt, and silvery scales that capture moonlight in an attractive fashion. Her thick eyelashes only increased the intensity of her blue eyes. Nothing special, except for her scales and tail. The tail was too thick for any existing species, except for, perhaps, lupus but scales had eliminated this species from his list. The only explanation was that she was either a hybrid or a less well-known species, like a mortui. Once he was satisfied with his judgement, Red looked away.
Red heard her words and did not reply immediately. Her voice was rich and silky, which seemed to match her attractive appearance. She also sounded relaxed in these words. If only Red felt the same. "Thank you, Diamanta." He nodded once and settled down into a lying position with his eyes still fixed on the lake. Interesting-looking company, indeed? Red twitched his red-rimmed ears; he had never thought himself interesting-looking. It was rather new to him as for a long time he had viewed his body as a machine for his brain. Frowning lightly, he suddenly wondered if he was as attractive as this Diamanta. Then he chuckled lightly, it was odd thinking himself as interesting-looking, especially after years never thinking about that. "Interesting-looking. That is news to me."
