Imposing. That was the only word for him. He was large and golden with fangs that just breached his lips. His muscles were visible under his course fur. His wings, golden and brown gleamed in the sun, blending in with the golden grass of the meadow. The stripe of brown fur ran down this back all the way to his stub tail.
Sometimes it was hard to tell that he was a Hybrid. But things like his tail gave it away. He never grew horns like his brother and he was smaller in size. Which said a lot about Nightmare considering that Brightness was a very large wolf indeed.
In the months sense coming to the children everything had been calm. With the exception of whatever was going on between Kaly and himself. He had taught himself to hunt without looking like a complete idiot and how to move quietly through the forest. It was all a slow process that could have been sped up if he had someone to teach him. But Brightness knew the likely hood of anyone in this pack trusting him enough to teach him how to fight was zilch. Those who did trust him were far to busy to help him, and he didn't have the heart to ask for help.
For all his size and strength there was no bite to Brightness. Hell there was hardly any bark to him either. if Reynard asked him to leave the valley he would. Though it would kill him to do so. The valley had become Brightness' home. There was no trace of the mafia's scent left on him. The few wolves he did talk to he loved. Them being the closest thing to a family that Bri has. His mother and brother didn't count. They were dead to him for all he cared. But Moonrose was like and older sister. And Kaly, just the thought of her name had Bri's heart stuttering painfully. He would do anything for her.
Reynard and Notch, as small as he is, intimidated him but Bri also respected them, along with the blind Chief, Yueh. Brightness had never met the wolf, only seen him from a distance. Maybe it was the fact that they were the same, both a Yagi-Kieyou hybrid.
Brightness let out a long sigh and settled down in the grass, letting the mid day sun heat his back as sky blue eyes roamed about the meadow. Everything was peaceful. His life wasn't perfect but it was more than he had ever dared hope for. If only it could stay like this forever.

Blaisen had taken it upon himself to hunt for both his parents, keeping them both well fed. Loca seemed... unresponsive, but Blaisen didn't really care. Halcyon was busy with his own thing, which was fine. Either way he was the one who would be doing all the work. He knew his father had two other sons, but he hadn't really seen either of them for quite some time. He knew the quiet male, Nocht, was usually on his own. His scent was sometimes around his parents' den, and often times he would see some prey left by their den with his scent on them.
He hadn't really interacted with his older half... was he even half? brother very often. He was quiet and strange, and though Blaisen himself wasn't the chattiest wolf, Nocht seemed odd to him. He was in the meadow now though, somewhere he had never seen or smelled the older lyxxus wolf. His wings were folded gracefully at his side as he danced on dainty paws through the grass.
There was a rabbit around, he could smell, and some gophers. He would catch them, he assured himself. But first something else caught his eye. A large form, with wings, appears across the meadow. His eyes furrowed; who was this wolf? He hadn't heard much of the other wolves of the pack, and though this male smelled like the Children, he also had an undertone which Blaisen could not recognize.
With a wary eye he moved towards the wolf, his blue eyes staring at him. When he was close, he barked a bit, staring."Who are you?" he asked, his head held high to show his 'position' in the pack. He was, after all, Reynard's son.
