OOC: I should probably apologize for the choppiness of this post, I have to get back into playing Eru. :3
These lands were incredible. It was as simple as that. Even in winter, while soft snow stretched as far as the eye could see, there was something otherworldly about Lumera Valley. It was not the harsh, endless beauty of the frozen north, or the hazy, sun-kissed beauty of the arid south. This beauty was full of life, full of vigour and health. Despite winters' icy grip, there were still birds in the sky and the odd jackalope snuffling through the flurries. And if you looked carefully, you could be lucky enough to see a royal white stag, proudly surveying his territory.
Perhaps it was that beauty that had drawn the old Myou here. A search for something to fill her kind heart with warmth. It had been a long time since she'd last traversed Wonderwhy, two years almost, she couldn't face returning to the north, so she'd followed the scent of life to this bountiful land. She was older now, more frail, more wizened and skinny than she had been before. Her once bright amber eyes had a more morose tint to them, though not overly noticeable. She was beginning to suffer for her long years and, without her old packmates, she was alone and neglected.
Shifting her wings slightly, Erulassé banked to the left, soaring in ever tighter circles as she grew closer and closer to the ground. While even those impressive wings were growing weaker with age, the elder was still immensely proud of them, they were the most well kept part of her body. With a little whoomph of air, Eru landed, a little skip-trot slowing her momentum to a standstill. Her sides were heaving as she shook her feathers and folded her wings, ivory fur slightly damp with sweat. Lumera Valley was certainly warmer than she was used to, the north was colder than this even when the summer sun rose high in the sky.
She'd come to the Valley for a single reason. A home. Since she'd left, she'd realized just how hard it was to survive alone and at her age. The grouchy swan that inhabited her mind had soon persuaded her to return to Wonderwhy, simply to survive. In the short time she'd been gone, the Council had disbanded, as had the Empire, which was even more surprising. The North was looking rather lonely, Eru had listened to rumours about the Enclave in the Taiga and decided that a pack ruled exclusively by males was not to her taste. Thus, here she was, looking for the Children.
The Children of Hvitur Ari had been around the last time she was in WW, it seemed to be a long lasting pack, a stable pack, something the old lass needed more than anything. She vaguely remembered the unique Keiyou that had lead it, a rare albino. Maybe he still lead the pack, after all this time? She didn't know much about him, but the Children so far seemed to be the pack she was best suited to. The Mafia were far too violent and sly for her liking, The Cadre were fighters, the Myou wasn't a fighter, she was a pacifist. The Accord was an idea, the land was close to the northern mountains she enjoyed, but she'd tired before reaching them and decided to join the closer Children.
Ignoring the clicking of her joints, Eru knelt in the soft, powdery snow, rolling onto her back with a soft chuckle. She did miss the crystalline beauty of snow, it was cold and could be a killer, but Eru always found the good in things. Snow was a necessity, it was destructive but when it was done, new life sprung from the old and renewed the land. Her long tail making patterns in the snow, Erulasse rested her paws on her chest and gave a little sigh, content to rest a while before searching out the pack leader. There was plenty of time and the old wolf wasn't one to hurry anywhere.
{ You old fool, you will never get anything done. } Ezzawrath, Eru's second soul, was as different from the white wolf as possible. She was a rationalist, down to earth, bad-tempered and easily irritated. Eru was more of a dreamer, an idealist, she saw the best in others while Ezza saw the truth. "There is no hurry, there is all the time in the world." The swan snorted with dry laughter. { Says she who struggled to actually get here. Besides, I've only been awake a few years, I've got plenty to do. } Erulasse chuckled softly, absently swatting at a few falling snowflakes as she chided the creature she shared her mind with. It would have been easy to creep up on her as she was, distracted and distant.

"Speaking"
Coneiron patrolled the borders with ardour, extremely proud of his new rank and title as he stepped forth with a youthful vigor. In fact he simply was youthful and though his mind had nine years of experience upon this earth, his body betrayed nothing older then 5, a male in his prime and it always brought him a smile to think that he should be able to be such a spry mate for his beautiful love; Lupa. Her enchanting eyes always stopped his breath and caused his heart to beat faster, like the besotted fool he was he still could not believe he had a family of his own to care for and live out his days with. Tauxic, his adopted son, was growing fast and the little tyke was a smart youngster. True, he would not grow up to be as large or physically inclined as Coneiron, but all the same he knew that Tauxic would bring a value of his own to any family he would chose to form when his time came.
Picking up his pace he ran through the snow, his snow wolves following him, their bodies comprised of millions of swirling snowflakes and each with a similar joyful grin upon their faces as they dashed across the valley. Coneiron`s muscles were firm and solid as they had once been during his youth and he thoroughly enjoyed pushing them to see how much he could now endure. Howling out his joy he kept a sharp watch out for intruders or potential new pack mates, his gaze sweeping longingly across an errant jackalop. Not now, he chided, your time to hunt will come soon enough, duty first and foremost. Terribly loyal to his pack, the First Guardian put the member`s safety above his own, for what good did it do if he was safe and they were not? No, proprietary demanded that he serve with due faith, and though he had always given his loyalty, for the first time in his past he had also given his respect.
Above him a white shape flitted into view, the winged wolf soaring in the winter air and finally coming to land in the snowy hills none too far in the distance. Stopping to watch its descent, Coneiron wondered, Yueh? No, the body was far too small and the landing far too graceful…Draugur? The name brought a silent snarl of dislike to the First Guardian`s maw. Moving stealthily forward he climbed the hill until he came to the crest to look upon what appeared to be an older wolf, certainly not Draugur by any means. Visibly relaxing the large lupus came to approach the winged wolf, curious to know what this stranger wanted so close to the Children`s pack land. With a spirited bounce in his step and his full tail whisking confidently behind he approached the stranger, noting the lack of pack smell upon her. A loner come to join perhaps?
Barking a strong greeting he said, his voice soothing and strong, “Good day madame, what might bring a graceful flyer such as yourself to the Lumera Valley?” His tone was polite and respectful, but none the less it certainly belayed some of the authority his rank granted him. He felt no threat from the wolf, and so nor would he impose any either and he kept his snowy companions behind him, his elemental power simply a reassuring presence. If anything he like to use it to amuse the other wolves in the pack, the winter was a perfect season to bring out his snowy animals to play, and Tauxic seemed to thoroughly enjoy them.

OOC: Short sorry. :/
Lost in the telepathic conversation with Ezza, Eru didn't notice the Lupus approaching until his deep bark cut through her reverie. As it was, the noise made the old girl twitch with surprise, a flurry of snow erupting around as she struggled to right herself. Her old bones gave out as she did so and the Myou ended up in a heap of limbs and wings all tangled up. If she could blush, Eru would be beetroot red by now, instead, she buried her head in those paws and took a moment to compose herself. All the while Ezza was snickering with amusement, only causing Eru's embarrassment to worsen.
A few moments later and the elder took a look at the Lupus, taking in his handsome coat, apparent youth and those odd wolf-shaped snow flurries. A sheepish smile graced her features and she shook the snow out of her ears before speaking. "I must apologize for that, friend. You gave me a little shock there, I was distracted by a companion." The Myou made no mention of her companion being a second soul, rather than an 'invisible friend'. Details were unimportant. "My name is Erulassse and I am most grateful for your compliment. Alas, I do believe I am no longer as graceful as I would like."
Pushing herself to her paws, slowly and carefully, Eru returned her bright amber gaze towards the male with a gentle smile. "I have heard that the Children still inhabit this area, indeed, you smell strongly of a pack. I would like to be considered as a member, if it would be permitted. Would you be able to point me, or escort me, in the direction of your leader? I would be very thankful. Could I have your name also, dear sir?" Her voice was rich and well-spoken, tinted slightly with age and the accent of the north.
Shifting her position slightly, Eru gave another shake of her head, trying to rid herself of the snow in her ears and eyes. She sank back onto her haunches, resting in order to keep as much energy as possible. These days it was so much harder to even stay standing for long periods, something the old Myou found increasingly worrying. Of course, Ezza always told her to just get on with it, something which she had tried to do. But still, each day brought a new ache or pain and Erulasse found herself sleeping and forgetting more often than not. But, she was glad to have lived the life she'd lived, met the people she'd met and done the things she'd done. She was content.

"Speaking" Surprise splayed across his handsome features as his clear aqua eyes widened while the female spluttered in the snow. He had not wished to frighten the dear, but he could not help but suppress a small smile as the snow went flying and his wolves darted back in shock. Cocking a head sideways he politely inquired, “Are you alright? I fear I may have not managed the more gentle presentation I had hoped.” He gave her an apologetic lopsided grin, a shrug of his solid shoulders to accompany his words. With that he got up and blew at the snow that had surged into the air after her fall, transforming the flakes into a couple of swans that flew into the air and dissolved in a spray of sparkling ice. This wolf greatly reminded him of such a bird, pristine and graceful despite her fall.
Shaking his head to dismiss her apology he said, “Now now, no need to be apologizing for the result of my intrusion. Erulasse, tis a noble sounding name to my ears. I am Coneiron, First Guardian of the Children of Hvitur Ari, “He paused to give her a gallant bow of welcome, “and it is most pleasing to hear that you should wish to grace our pack with your alliance.” He gave her a small teasing wink, letting her now in unspoken terms that he was a friendly chap if anything. Perking up he straightened his posture and stood up, eager to assist the older wolf. His tail waged slowly as he came to her side to offer his assistance. No doubt she was tired from her travels, and the valley was populated with steeps inclines and random dugouts.
Chuckling he noted, “Twould be my pleasure of course to escort you into our lands, I am sure we shall be able to meet either Reynard or Yueh there to assist you with your quest.” With that he let out a sure and strong howl, letting the Alpha know that a new member wished to join and informing him where the pair could be found. “If it pleases you we can move deeper into the territory, there is more shelter to be found than out here in the open.” With that he set off at a leisurely pace, his steps unhurried so that the female might keep up with him without feeling pressured to move with more haste. Coneiron had all day for this venture, and if he was being honest he took a greater interest in knowing whom was joining the pack now that his son needed protection. Inquiring casually he asked, “Have you travelled far today miss Erulasse? Tis not the fairest of seasons to be making any voyages in...” Conerion turned his gaze to look at Erulasse inquisitively, his eyes not prying but certainly curious to know who this wolf was and how her coming might reflect upon his own life.
