[scrolly:h(370),w(405),sy] It was a rather cold day, and although a thin blanket of snow already covered the ground of the Lumera Valley, and the sky seemed white, not a snowflake fell. A white form almost blended in with the surrounding area, if not for the vibrant yellow eyes and navy blue markings on the she-wolf's legs. A trail of pawprints followed her.
The Duchess for the Accord walked along, enjoying the quiet and serenity the snow offered. It was a beautiful land, but she had not come to admire the scenery. No, Faye was here on a special mission: To form an alliance with the Children. She hadn't travelled overly far, since her home, Lake Amerenthyst was close by, but a little further south.
The lightning lupus knew she had passed the border a bit further back, judging by the array of pack scents, and decided to wait for a pack member to come along: It was a fairly nice day, although cold, and she was certain a few would be out and about, and might be able to lead her to the alpha so they could talk. She was fairly certain that after some discussion an alliance would be made, and sat patiently waiting, almost resembling a snow statue. She wouldn't go any further in the land, so as not to alarm any wolves. She watched the snow covered valley for any sign of a wolf with her yellow eyes, and was thankful for her thick winter coat.[/scrolly]

The snow did not help with the aching and bruised body of the tall, lean alpha male of the Children. He tolerated the cold, only because it was better than being bedridden in the den. He had his large, raven black wings outstretched as his lanky limbs carried him over the snow. His wings had been repaired, the one that had been wounded was stubborn and stiff. However that was not the problem that was preventing his usual aerial flight. His face was badly scarred, and one eye was clouded to almost complete blindness. To take to the sky again was far in his future....if ever attainable again.
He paused to catch his breath. Between his injuries he was still recovering from, and the fact he was old, his endurance was not that fantastic. He gave a heavy sigh, sending his hot breath into the freezing air. His blue eyes followed the cloud of breath into the air, watching it dissipate. Looking at the sky, he was able to reminisce about when he first saw his mate. The way she handled herself so gracefully in the air made his heart light with happiness.
Thinking of his mate, his dark ears went back as he looked over his shoulder. He had not really gotten permission to leave the den. Every since the accident, Satinka had been his own personal nurse. Almost losing her mate and son on the same day had been quite hard on her. She was right to be protective. He loved her for it, but he had been so stir crazy he had to get out of the den.
So he was patrolling the border, making sure that his Guardians had been keeping the borders up since his absence. There had been no short-fallings, a few stale scent markings that could be fixed with the lift of a leg or a scratch on a tree. He lifted his nose to the sky, there was a new scent on the horizon. An intruder?
He could smell pack, not his pack. Perhaps one of their allies? He picked up the pace tasting the air. No, it was not a scent he was intimate with. However he recognized it. The wolves of the lake. That pack had been growing over the past few months. Which could be a bad thing for the Children.
He fluffed up his hackles and opened up his wings. The keiyou way of looking bigger. His thin tail came up like a flag, the white tip like a tassel announcing to everyone he was there. If the red-pelt went unnoticed that was. He charged over a bluff, ready to spurn the greedy neighboring pack away from his territory. He stopped a few yards away once he saw the lupus female. He gave a gravely growl in warning as he looked her over, "What are you doing, trespassing in my pack lands?" Had she been a loner, he would have been a little kinder. Potential pack mates were beneficial. Other pack wolves, though, were more of a threat. This added to the fact that he had been bedridden for the past few weeks made him all too eager for some action.

"Speaking" Faye was rather glad to see another wolf arrive, it was getting quite cold out and she couldn't stay in one place for too long for fear of getting frostbite. The defensive posture and tone was expected, but his words seemed a little harsh for an alpha. However, if she were to find an unknown intruder from another pack in her lands, she would feel threatened also. The lupus hoped to ease the situation by introducing herself and showing she meant the Children no harm.
She gave a small smile, though not overly warm: "I apologize for trespassing on your lands, but I have matters to discuss with your pack's leaders, you and any others you wish to discuss this matter with. My name is Faye, and I am Duchess of the Centenna Accord, the pack that lives just south of your land, at Lake Amarenthyst. I come in peace, and mean neither you or any creature who dwells here any harm. I seek to form an ally with the Children. If you are open to discussion, I can stay and present my arguments. However, I understand if you wish for me to leave." Her voice was calm, and the she-wold was a fit messenger indeed, for her voice was calm and polite, and neither treated the Keiyou less or extremely better.
She hadn't reacted in a hostile way or been affronted by the way he first acted, because it was an understandable and natural reaction. She just hoped things would go better from now on, and that he'd be open for discussion. It wouldn't please her to disappoint her pack.

To say that he was on edge was an understatement. Yet he and his son had been attacked by a predator, not a wolf. He lowered his hackles and sniffed the air suspiciously at first, however one he could detect no other foreign scent he allowed himself a little room to relax. His ears flicked forward to hear her words. Another alliance with another pack? It seemed like a good enough offer. However he was not familiar enough with this Accord, to make an on the spot decision.
"My apologies for being rude, but one cannot be too careful in the winter when resources are scarce. " He eased his wings down, and was glad that the movement of the formerly wounded one did not cause pain. "I am Reynard, High Chief of the Children of Hvítur Ári." It felt weird saying the full name of the pack, but he said it nonetheless, formalities were required when it came to forming Alliances. "You are aware that we already hold Alliances with the Cadre and the Enclave, correct? " He wanted to make sure that they would not be harboring malcontent for his allies.
He shook out his pelt, a few snow flurries had begun to fall from the white leaden sky. His blue eyes glanced up, as if gauging how much time they had. He looked back at her. "You may speak your terms, what would the Children gain in forming alliance with the Accord?" He wanted to make sure his pack would benefit. He knew that he had many healers in his lands that were coveted by other packs. The Enclave gave them warriors if needed, the Cadre gave them aerial defense if needed. So what could this new pack offer that was not already being supplied elsewhere?

"Speaking" The lupus was slightly relieved he was open for discussion on the matter, and the fact that he didn't simply immediately agree or disagree meant that he was a strong and reliable leader. she was glad to know that if the alliance was formed, it would be a dependable one on both sides. She nodded politely at his apologies, it wasn't necessary but she understood anyways.
"I was indeed aware that your pack must hold other alliances, although I did not know which. However, it does not matter for we are on peaceful terms with all packs, and mean the Enclvae or the Cadre no ill wishes." she clarified. Truth be told, this was the Accord's first alliance, but he didn't need to know that. After this, perhaps the Enclave and the Cadre also, though that would require more travelling on her part and she might have to bring along a companion, both for protection and company, she supposed. But her mind was starying from the task at hand.
Now was her chance to speak, and Faye would make sure that what she said was at least considered to be wise, if not good enough for an alliance: "What can the Accord offer the Children is a good question, and I am glad you have asked it. The Accord, as I have previously mentioned, has settled down at Lake Amarenthyst, a fertile and safe land that could provide both our packs shelter if the need should arrive some day for your pack to have to flee the Valley. We have an earth lupus among us, and if ever your lands should fall prey to fires, we would most certainly help restore the land. Also, there are some healers in our pack that could be of help if ever there are injuries within the Children." She paused to let her words sink in, and to formulate her next ones.
"Besides all that, we can also offer our help in defending the Children if you go to war or need to defend yourselves. Since we both live in the East, we would have a fast response time and be here in a matter of days at most. While that is what you would gain most of, we also offer our friendship as a pack, and any other help in times of need." she finished, and waited for the verdict. Faye wasn't nervous or anticipating what he would answer, because she knew that what she had said had been sound and intelligent. The choice was up to him, but if their roles were reversed, she knew what she would do.

In his mind, it seemed like they had nothing unique to offer. The Children had healers, as well as an earth lupus, however the quicker response time seemed to be a good asset. They may not be a pack that trained like the Enclave, but first responders for emergency times was a good asset. They were closer than the Cadre, and he didn't know much about them aside the vouch the Enclave gave for them. It was better to have allies than enemies after all.
The snow was beginning to fall a little thicker now. he blinked some flakes off his short lashes and shook out more from his feathers. He was old and not quite healed all the way back. He would have to start heading back soon, lest a snowstorm took them my surprise. He knew this decision was not for him alone to make. He needed to talk to Santika and Yueh. He cleared his throat after a few moments, " It is something I need to discuss with my mate and second-in-command. " He looked at her again, wondering how long she had been in the snow alone. "You are welcome to...walk with me back to the dens if you need to take a break from the cold. " It hurt him to have to walk everywhere, but until he could function without two good eyes, he needed to stay grounded.
He turned to start walking back, gesturing for her to follow him. "While we walk, tell me more about your pack, so I have a better idea what kind of wolves I may become friends with soon...Do you have young ones? What species....you know, things like that." His long black legs made it easier for him to walk through the snow without getting his belly wet. His thin limbs were not much for retaining heat though, the sooner he got home the better to ease the cold out of his bones.

"Speaking" The lupus nodded in agreement to what Reynard said: It was a good idea for him to talk with his mate and second in command before making decisions indeed. He hadn't said yes, but it certainly wasn't a no, and Faye could tell he seemed interested enough. While she was here, she was also taking note of the foliage and fauna she could make out amidst the snow. Since both their lands were in the East, their climate was much the same, but she found that they received a little less snow at the lake.
She supposed it was the Sage in her: She'd fled from her old pack, even if she was destined to become Alphess one day, and she never regretted that decision. She'd enjoy seeing her parents again, but for all she knew, they were gone like her old friend, mentor and teacher. Then she'd become a Sage, when she first joined the Accord, getting a small promotion to Head Sage. After a few months, she'd became Advisor, and then Duchess. She was happy with her pack, and although payed little heed to ranks and titles, she was glad that she was in a position to better help Stone, as well as any other members of the Accord.
She nodded her thanks at his kind offer, and decided she would only stay as long as necessary: There was no need to overstay her visit, and even if Reynard was hospitable enough, he had a mate and a pack to protect, and she was still a fairly unknown wolf on his land. She walked beside him to wherever he led them and began to answer his question: "The Centenna Accord has a wide array of species, from Cael, to Keiyou, as well as a Lumen, a Whisp, some hybrids and mostly lupuses. I myself am a lightning lupuse, but my Queen, Keinvarii, is a stone Lupus while her mate, Acelan, and my king, is an ice lupuse. The Arch-Duchess of the Accord, Evelyn, is a rare Lumen. Our Lady of the Hunt, Cyra, is an earth Lupus, and our Lord of Defense, Raynor, is a Cael. I know that Cael are often seen as, well, less able wolves on land, but because he has had years of training he knows his way well around land and water. He is most capable of defending Lake Amarenthyst, should the need arise." She explained the last part to dispel any worries that the Alpha might have about making an alliance with a pack that had a Cael as Lord of Defense.
She paused at the question of young ones, and her heart softened a moment: To her, it seemed like a faraway dream. "We have no young ones yet, but I believe Keinvarii and Acelan have plans to continue on their lineage. As a pack, we are open to all species, be it as long as the individual wolf is friendly. I will be honest, however: We aren't on the friendliest of terms with our Southern neighbors, commonly known as the Mafia. I believe they are under new reign now, and we have had some encounters with their members that were less than pleasant. We do not seek them out, but if you have an alliance with them I highly doubt our pack members would come to their aid."
Her words were the truth, and although she doubted the Children had an alliance with the cruel pack, it was best to pre-warn them: After all, and although it was unofficial, any allies of the Children became the Accord's allies indirectly too.

She may have been his Queen but she did not rule over the pack and so she could not keep him from doing what he must. Deep in her heart she knew that her confinement of Reynard was slowly killing him, and she would be a liar if she said it was only for his own good. She was concerned about her mate, and the pups got such pleasure out of having him around she could not help but want to keep him safe and close to her. But as she knew of her own love of the sky there was no way she could ever feel Reynard’s pain of the loss of his sight and the loss of flight. Even if his shoulder did heal enough and properly to fly his sight would be a hindrance that could make flight impossible if not very dangerous. She had been thinking about it for days, how she would take to it if someone had told her she could no longer fly through the sky, the winds caressing her wings and the clouds touching her muzzle, even thinking about it made her want to take to the sky, and here her mate was grounded….
Her sleep had been restless and when she did awake, her mate had once more snuck from their shared den, and her blue eyes closed for a long moment as she curled her tail around the three growing lumps that were her pups. In these early mornings these were the times when she could cuddle and cradle her pups, otherwise they were now old enough to be off on their own adventures, hating to be held down by anything, especially affection from their mother. She took a moment to lick each of their faces clean, and to nuzzle and nudge each of them lovingly, her pups had given her a new purpose, and with them and becoming Queen they had only added to her self confidence. She was a knowledgeable herbal healer, as well as having been gifted with healing, and now she was a mother and a mate, these things all worked to complete the beautiful female who lay in the den as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky. Soon three yapping mouths woke her from her mental reverie .
It would not be too long after that that the pups would be scampering forth from the den in a race to get to the prey cache or some similar competitive action before they would scamper off to find their favorite sitter or wolf who kept them busy most of the day, and while Satinka was sad to see them scamper away from her, she knew in her heart that it was better they be independent and adventurous than to be dependent and shy. After all, each of her pups would have to fulfill their destiny and they had a better shot of it if they believed in themselves and showed signs of strength early on. She sighed and made her own way out of the den, sniffing the faint traces of her mate which were nearly erased by the snow fall of the night before. She stretched, her long tail snapping from side to side in a slight temper as she looked up at the skies and decided to walk instead of fly today. So she made her way across the snow in a leisurely momentum, feeling no need to hurry or rush.
Her wings, an enlarged hawk’s wings stood out against the lighter shades of her pelt as she moved through the winter wonderland, conveying greetings to the wolves she did run in to as she continued onward. She had no idea what she intended to do, be it hunt, track down her mate, or simply watch the borders of the territories. She pushed her wings outward to stretch for a few steps before flapping them a few times to not feel quite so stiff, then she tucked them back in against her back as she continued walking, and having picked up on the scent of her mate she wanted to keep going in that direction. It would not be long before she saw him, walking, and walking with another female none the less. Her ears narrowed as she stood there, behind them, quietly observing the other female. She smelled like another pack, soft spoken, and was being led by her mate deeper into pack territory. Was she a new member? She snorted softly to herself before padding up behind them, enough to catch the new female’s words, something about pups, and then the mafia and not coming to their aide….Her eyes turned to the left and right suspiciously before sitting down and announcing her presence with a loud, but not rude, “Ahem.” Her eyes were all for her mate for the first few seconds before turning on the female in question, leaving her mate to speak on her behalf at first simply due to his being High Chief. [/scrolly]

She seemed to be well versed, almost stilted in the way she answered his questions. Was this the first time she had said these words to another pack? It seemed rehearsed almost, but he didn't say anything until she was done. Her pack sounded large, and active. Clearly not some thing to be taken lightly. The fact that they were not bearing pups meant that they had recruited outside growth. So either they had some powerful wolves, or good speakers that could convince loners to join. It sounded like a young pack....perhaps it would benefit his more established back to take them under his wing.
They had a variety of species, just like the children. He was not that familiar with lumen, but he had had two whisps in his ranks at one point. He had not had time recently to touch base with his members since the incident had occurred. He felt like he was behind in recruiting. His Guardians had let a number of new wolves in, but he had not met them all personally. His ears twitched at the name of the mafia, he could not help but curl a lip. He was harboring a Mafia refugee, despite his better judgement. It was high time Brightness left his ranks though, so he did not mention him, "The Mafia are an unsavory bunch. I do not intend to ever ally with them or their familiars."
He soon heard the sound of his mate's voice. His bright blue ears searched the light snowfall for her. her eyes were beautiful, but seemed to flash a little. His ears went back, "Ah damn....She can't think I am trying anything here right?' His mental dialogue stayed in his mind, he had been trying desperately to prove to her that he was faithful. The accident had given them more alone time, so things had mended a little. But he always had that fear of being doubted again. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her....So instead of wavering he lowered his head and wings and wagged his tail quickly and low. He high stepped over the snow toward her, whining a greeting as he licked her beautiful face. He didn't care what the lupus female thought of his affectionate display.
"Sorry If I woke you...." His oily voice was low and quiet for her ears only. Then he lifted his head back to his alpha stance and gestured back toward the lupus female. "This wolf is from another pack. The Accord. They wish to seek an alliance with us." He turned his body so he was standing tall next to his mate as he introduced the ladies to one another, "Faye, was it? This is my mate and Queen, Satinka. Satinka, the is Faye....Duchess of the Centena Accord." He didn't waste a breath before going on, "I was just coming to see you, my love, so we could work on negotiations with her." Only then did he pause to let the females speak.
He had been trying to make it so his mate had more say in things. When the pack was under Draugur's rule, females were not viewed very highly. They were not allowed a say in any major decisions. It had taken him a while to get out of that habit. In his old age he had tried to mold the pack into more of a family than a hierarchy, and to do that he needed a Mother for the Children of Hvítur Ári. In his eyes, Satinka was perfect for it.

"Speaking" OOC: I apologize for taking so long to reply.
Faye was glad that they didn't have an ally with the Mafia, that in itself showed that if an ally were to be made between the Children and the Accord, it would be a strong, healthy one. Hopefully one that will continue through generations, she thought, as she was certain Reynard must have heirs and what with Stone and Acelan together now, pups most likely wouldn't be far off for the royal couple either. Pups, it was a bit of a sad thought for the seven year old lupus, who hadn't had any. Ah well, she thought, some do, some don't, that's life.
She hadn't found any mate suitable enough yet, but she'd rather be alone then with a wolf and unhappy. It was possible, she'd seen it before in her old pack. With her own parents. However, that was a whole other story, and one she needn't dwell on at the moment. The other Keiyou's arrival made Faye halt in her tracks to see what Reynard would do: She didn't yet know if the female was a pack member, a traveler, or anyone really.
She was beautiful indeed, and Faye gave a friendly smile anyways, even if she didn't yet know who she was. However, after the Keiyou gave a small "ahem" in distrust. It made Faye almost sad for a moment: She didn't want to cause any discord with Reynard and his mate, as she felt nothing for the male except a polite and respectful feeling.
The lupus smiled at the Queen: "Greetings Satinka, Queen of the Children of Hvitur Ari." she nodded respectfully, since they both had high ranks in their packs, she felt there was no need to bow. "I was indeed discussing an alliance with Reynard between our packs, as I am also the ambassador, so to speak, for the Centenna Accord. I have been sent here by Keinvarii, Queen of the Accord, to discuss with the Children's High Estates." Her yellow eyes flickered to Reynard before turning back to Satinka: "I have already given some details to Reynard, but would you like for me to go over them again, or shall I leave you both some time to discuss? If you like, I could always come back in a few days when your decision is made." she offered politely.
Since they were both in the East, it wouldn't take Faye too long to travel back to the Lake and then come back a few days later.

Yes Reynard’s past…mistakes did enter in for a moment, as she assumed they always would, as she had said, she loved him and she always would but time was the only thing that would heal any of them. As far as she was concerned not enough time had truly passed. But it wasn’t the past that made the look in her face seem so not happy, it was the fact that he had once again left, gotten out, left without her, not woken her and he was pushing on his body when she had nearly seen it broken completely just weeks ago. (Maybe months.) Her heartbeat picked up as she remembered watching Yueh gently sit her mate down, tears in his own large blind eyes, and her whole mind and body panicked. She thought in those moments she had lost him yet again. If it wasn’t an emotional upheavel now he was fighting death not to leave her and his family. Satinka had not known what to do in that moment. Now here she was again, that picture always in the back of her mind, her mate, broken, beaten and presented to her as though he were a lifeless piece of meat from the prey cache.
In the white landscape against them her pelt was only truly noticeable by the silver and gray streaked through white, and her hawk’s wings were just too dark chocolate brown to not be noticeable but it did make another of her features stand out differently. With the whiteness of the snow her eyes seemed to change into a lighter shade of blue, had she been around sparkling water it may have appeared to be a darker blue but for right now there she sat in the snow, with light blue sparkling eyes, her wings tucked in against her back as she stared at her mate. She watched as his ears went back and for a moment she wanted to go to him, see if he was in pain or if something was wrong, but something rooted her bottom to the ground. She watched as in front of the other female he lowered himself for her, and brought his handsome self to her to show his affection and love for her. All the ice and anger that might have been in her face before melted as her mate’s breath and scent enveloped her. His whine reached her ears ad her tail reached around to curl around his leg for a moment.
He would always be handsome to her, even with his injuries she simply could not see anything else. The fact that he was so close to her made her heart race and her wings fluttered in desire for her mate, she as well as he did not care that there was another wolf observing. He was the High Chief of his pack, and he was her mate, the father of her pups, and he was hers, just as she was his in every sense of the word. She had no need to prove this necessarily but she would be a liar if she said her eyes didn’t brighten as she looked into the face of Reynard. His apology was low but she simply whispered in response…”I just couldn’t sleep once you were gone..I worry…” Her gentle smile was as it always was and she watched as he came to stand proudly beside her as her eyes turned to the female in front of them. “Duchess Faye, it is my pleasure as Queen of the Children and mate of Reynard to have you approach us with this offer. No pack is so secure that they must turn down offers of potential help and alliances.”
She did not know what the pack had to offer, her own had healers, and warriors, and through their most recent alliances they had more warriors and strong wolves. She was very curious to know what exactly this Accord could offer to them, she had no idea if any pack had made any open declarations of hate or dislike to the Children but as she said, no pack could truly afford to turn down alliances. Reynard had made her believe that the Children were a family, and since becoming his mate she had become a true believer. From healer the minor wounds of pups and adolescents to keeping her mate alive and healing other members she felt intensely connected to them so any negotiation that would help the pack continue on was a good thing in her view and her eyes turned to her mate for a long moment of adoration. Then she listened and tilted her ears to the female as she spoke. She knew her mate probably had more details but spoke anyway, “Either or, if Reynard feels like sharing, or you feel comfortable repeating yourself, either way will get me the information just the same.” She offered the most friendly smile she could before thinking about what the female said.
“It is true you could leave but there does seem to be bad weather approaching, I don’t think it would be in your best interest to travel right now, nor ours to allow an ambassador from such a well spoken pack get lost out in a blizzard when we have enough accommodations to keep you comfortable at least until the storm passes. Her tail swished lightly back and forth as she smelled the air, indeed a “unexpected blizzard” was on the way, and she had been in the territory long enough to get an idea that just when you might have a warm day or two the next day there could be a new blanket of snow, the wind howling and the lands impassable. But she turned to her mate to get his final decision on what they should all do but her eyes like his most likely turned to the sky and knew a decision would have to be made quickly to get them all to safety. She made him feel young again every time he saw her. As he listened to the females begin to greet and speak, he listened carefully to what his mate had to say in reference to what was going on. He stood back from the two, pondering and mulling over his thoughts...
They had forged alliances with a pack of warriors, and a pack of survivors. He had a pack of full of healers and young. Upon thinking about it more he riddled out that his pack had mostly females in the ranks. That was a good balance for the alliances he already held. This new pack seemed to be a conglomerate of species and skills. He glanced at his mate. She made a good point, it is better to have alliances than enemies, even if the alliance seemed to be with little cross over. They were closer than the Enclave and the Cadre. That point kept showing up in his mind. He was fairly certain that the Accord and the Valley shared a border, even it is was separated by a slight buffer zone.
Perhaps he should share his thoughts with his lovely mate, he turned to look at her, now that the conversation had circled back to talking about what his opinion was. He looked at Faye, "Satinka has a valid point, there is a blizzard coming and we can't have you stranded out, especially once the night falls. " He dipped his head in courtesy, "Please sup with us and stay with us until this storm leaves. We will promise you warmth and safety as long as you are in our care."
He also wanted to discuss the potential alliance with the ambassador present. He met Tinka's eyes, "I suppose I could summarize what she told us about her pack. Maybe we should walk back to the dens." He glanced to the sky as the snow flurries began to fall more heavily. Without really waiting for affirmation from the females he began walking through the deepening snow. Once he got a few paces he began forming his words. He recalled what Faye told him and tried to reiterate for his mate. "From what she told me, they also have a number of species, including an arsenal of lupus." He paused, then continued, "They are a newly formed pack with several members and no pups just yet. They are closer to us than the Enclave, so they could serve as a vanguard until the reinforcements arrive, should the need for battle arise."
He glanced back at Faye, seeing if she was with them, as well as asking a questions, "Have I missed anything? Oh!" He turned back to Satinka, "They are not on friendly terms with the Mafia..." He didn't want to go into much detail on that one, even though he had made it clear to the Mafia refuge they had that his welcome would be short lived. He also didn't want to bring up his presence in the pack lands. Though, honestly Rey had not seen the hybrid male in quite sometime.
He let the last sentence stay in the cold air, he was leaning toward tentatively accepting the alliance for the sole purpose of not having such a pack in close proximity unfriendly toward his own. There was also the prospect of sharing resources if the need arose. His pack was large and the Valley was only so big. Having foreign hunting grounds under permission would be useful. Once again though, just as an emergency contingency plan.
