Description: The wolf that is a tree, sounds odd huh? These wolves have a base pelt that is actually made of bark. They do have markings, made of moss. They are ether green, black, or white in color if there at all. The pelts change color with age. Meaning, they are born green, at twenty years old they turn brown, at two hundred years old they turn white. White is the final color of the wolf. It shows age as well. Brown Taxus are old enough to breed. White Taxus are elders. Green Taxus are pups still, well, in Taxus years. Their markings also change with age. Markings start out white, at twenty it turns green, and at two hundred the markings become black in color. They also have leaves in some areas. The tip of their ears, their muzzle, and their tail tip often have leaves growing on them. They tend to be large. Males being larger than females. Packs hold their males in higher esteem and are sexist towards the smaller females. This usually results in their being two packs in one territory. The male pack and the female pack. They are slow moving, but sturdy and strong.

Rarity: Limitted Addition or Rare works for me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Taxus/Taxo
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Size: Males; 70 - 80 Inches, 100 - 150 Pounds. Females; 50 - 60 Inches, 40 - 90 Pounds.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lifespan: 200+ (They can live to be thousands of years old as long as they don't catch a sickness)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pelt: The pelt looks rough and ragged. They are green(young wolf), brown(mature wolf), and white(elderly wolf) other colors are rare and only happen in hybrids. They have moss markings as said before. They tend to have leaves on them as well, but not always. Markings and Leaves not being on the wolf is rare, but happens.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eyes: The eyes are normally blue or green in color. Other colors are rare and typically only happen in hybrids. when young, meaning under the age of twenty, the eyes are clear and have no color. This makes them look blind, though they are not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths: 1.) Can form roots to find water in droughts. These roots break off when the rains come and they can find water more easily.
2.) Strong and sturdy. They are hard to take off their paws and can hit pretty hard.
3.) They produce their own food. Like a tree, it uses carbon, water, and sunlight to make its own food.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blurb:
These wolves have the tendency to have drab colors like a Kukkien. They are often thought to be a hybrid of some sort, though they aren't.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lots: 1.) Cael and Taxus are neutral. They are drawn in by the lovely singing voice and love to listen to their songs.
2.) Keiyou's and Taxus are iffy. Taxus envy the flight of them and hate the fact they can't do it. Taxus won't often speak with them, but they can tolerate them. So they are okay to be around this breed, though they refuse to be friends.
3.) Lupus and Taxus are not very fond of each other. This varies though. If it is a fire Lupus, the Taxus make a point of avoiding them. Other Lupus, though its rare, can be tolerated by the Taxus.
5.) Lyxxi and Taxus are great together. Taxus love them and they often have one that they love and carry around.
6.) Myou and Taxus don't know of each other. The Taxus seem to think they are Lupus and make a point of avoiding them.
7.) Kukkien and Taxus are also good together. They will often talk for hours. These are the most common group seen together. Taxus love the flowers of this wolf and the size of the Taxus often intrests the clever Kukkien.
8.) Lumen and Taxus rarely talk. The Lumen catch the intrest of the Taxus, but being so slow moving they can't keep up with the nimble wolf.
9.) Eremus and Taxus don't know about each other. They live on different sides of the specter. So, they never meet.
10.) Yagi have the respect of this wolf. Taxus make a point of defending the Yagi from judgment or harm.
11.) Sennyo are thought to be bugs and Taxus hate them. They make a point of swatting at them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belief: The Taxus believe in The Mother. This is the wolf that created everything and watches over it all. The Taxus believe that The Mother has taken the form of the sun and shines down on them. When the day is dark, they feel that the mother is angry. When it rains, they feel she is sad. They have rituals to tend to the mothers needs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Living: They live in the jungle thanks to being trees. They can travel about the land as long as its areas with rain or water sources. They tend to live in small breeding groups or they have double packs. Females in one and Males in the other.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reproduction Concerns: They start out as tiny little seeds, almost acorn like and remain that way until they are four months old. Then they hatch out and become tiny wolves. They stick close to their mother and start nursing in a sense. This means there is the chance of seeds without pups in them, early death if the birds get to them, or under developed young.

Issues With Them: Pests - Pests associated with Taxus come in two primary categories, pests that eat leaves and pests that bore into the wood. Common leaf eaters are: the leafroller, the leafminer, and the timberworm. Common boring insects include: the timber beetle, the twig pruner, and the root borer. Other insects that prey upon Taxus include: aphids, lace bugs and weevils. Bugs damage the wolf and cause the wolf to die prematurely if heavily infested. The wolf will roll in mud to kill these pests.
Disease - Diseases can also cause premature wolf death. Common Taxus diseases are caused by fungi or bacteria. Diseases most often associated with Taxus include: Hispidus Canker, Top Rots, Root Rot, leaf blisters and Actinopelte leaf spot. Diseases attack different areas of the wolf; however, most will cause a disruption in the wolves ability to obtain water and nutrients or to carry out photosynthesis. There are cures for this, but only the older Taxus know it.
Fire - Fire causes premature Taxus death by burning them alive. They will run from anything Fire related.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Development: Taxus wolves develop slowly. Pup production begins when the Taxus hits the 20-year-mark or so, making reproduction a very slow process. They Mature slowly and tend to stay with the mother until they are old enough to breed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
View on Hybridism: They are open minded, but its still rare for it to happe. Seeing as they have to find a race they like to be around fully or isn't scared of their size.
