She was lost and she knew that much for sure, the tangle of trees providing such a puzzle for her to attempt to get through. The maze was a pain to her mind, especially in combination with her fear and paranoia. She had wandered too far north this time, of this she was positive, and she could tell because of how cold it was getting so fast. The mornings had become chillier and the night quite frigid. She wanted to find her way back south, where it was warmer and...not as safe. She sighed. She liked the colder weather, but she had her body to worry about. Even now her skin prickled uneasily and her fur was ruffled by a light breeze that was making its way around the trunks of the trees of the forest she was so lost within. The darkness they were providing for her was something of a help at least.
Domino was blind in one eye and was slowly losing her sight in the other as she stood there. It had happened one of the first times that she had tried to fly, having gone above the clouds too fast for her body's liking. The sun had glared into her left eye so badly that it had thrown her off balance, sending her straight into the safety of the soft tree branches beneath her. When she had come to, she had found that she could no longer see in her left eye and even now, from being in the light too much, she was losing the sight in her right. That was another reason she liked it this far north. It was not as sunny all the time and, in this territory, there were many, many trees that gave her shadows. She could see better in the dark with the light not there to blind her further, but it was still hard to get around with only one good eye.
Her nose and her ears worked better, so she relied on those to get around the forest that she was in now. She could only make out half of the picture that she was receiving. Her wings helped her as well, as she allowed them to brush up against the things that were inadvertently in her way, each of the colored feathers managing to remain attached to the base of the wing. She couldn't let them fall off, she just couldn't. As her hybrid powers allowed, her feathers granted wishes. If someone were to take one of her feathers, then a wish could be granted from it to the creature that had stolen it. She was paranoid because of this, simply assuming everyone she came across was only utterly after he feathers. They were quite valuable, though she was less worried of younger wolves. They didn't know much of her species.
Domino tread carefully over the tangled roots of the trees, trying to keep her head on straight and not become dizzy from the few remaining rays of sun dancing with the shadows on the ground. It didn't really help her, though, and it certainly didn't take her very long to trip over her own paws. She landed in the dirt beneath her and sighed, huffing out her breath as she pushed herself into the cradling roots of a tree. She didn't want to harm herself anymore. She would need someone else to get her out of here since she could not really do it herself. That much was apparent to her. She pressed her wings up against her sides to block out what cold there was that was coming, lowering her head a ways and keeping her ears pricked up as far as they would go. She was listening for anything that could come out at her.
The hybrid listened and watched as carefully as she could. Her paranoia made her wary of anything and everything that could happen, especially in a place she was unfamiliar with. The genetics from her small framed father and her hollow boned mother had made her extremely fragile, her own bones easy to break as a twig. It would only take a pup to sit on top of them to snap them in half or even into fourths so easily. She feared getting near anyone or anything to close could result in her horrid injury, or even her death. She tried not to think of these things in particular, though, because she really didn't see the reason to be such a down in the dumps kind of person all the time. She loved life and would live her own for as long as the Great Spirit would allow. For now, she remained tucked in those tree roots, trying to stay alive and calm.

[scrolly:h(200),w(420),sy,c()]Aroh was cursing up a storm as he stumbled over a root and slammed into the nearest tree with such force it actually made his vision blurr. He had been training the last few months, but is was a long hard process seeing as he was one of the largest members of the pack besides his father and his second in command Duchan. With his horns growing first upright and then pushing backwards, he still wasn't quite adjusted to where to keep his head to avoid getting tangled in low falling branches, or swinging his head and nearly knocking himself out. His father had told him time and time again that he had to realize his size and use it to his advantage but Aroh couldn't remember the amount of times he came home with his head aching. He groaned slightly, slamming a large paw into the earth to regain his balance, He looked back and was very thankful that his now developing hip-horns had not slammed into the tree and gotten stuck...again. Relief flooded through him as he tried to push himself upright. “There has got to be an easier way to be a warrior...I'm going to kill myself at this rate.” He was standing then and managed to walk like a normal wolf over to one of the streams, big enough to see himself, and drink out of, too small to bathe in. He leaned down and began to lick at the water, enjoying the coolness of it as it rushed down his throat in big gulps. Aroh then watched his own reflection for a long moment.
Here he was in the middle of a forest, covered in greenery, especially since it was summer time and he looked like a big sandy rock. Worse than that his “speckles” as Aunt Avalon would call them had grown...! He had more of them than he did when he was a puppy and no matter how long or hard his horns were anywhere on his body the nickname just....stung. Of course it could have been worse, “Socks”, his brother, or “Patches” his sister were both worse in his opinion. BUT, how was he supposed to an intimidating warrior when half of the pack remembered him as the pup formerly known as Speckle! He inwardly groaned as he stared at his own appearance. No one else had black stripes, not his sister, brother, or father! They all blended into this environment without any trouble, Aroh on the other hand...well he stood out no matter what season it was, it didn't help that he was quickly coming up on his father's size. For him, hiding to hunt was like telling a deer to hide behind a bush. It was why he spent more of his time patrolling than he did hunting, because he was better at it, to be frank and he knew his size was a deterrent to would be intruders. His chest puffed out proudly and he nodded, “I know I can patrol, and a few more months of training and I will be able to fight!” He, like the rest of his siblings wanted to impress their father in the worst way.
With a sigh he turned away from the stream and just wished...well some times he just wished he was invisible... Being this large did come with its advantages, and it always had, time spent with his siblings was hard. He always ended up being the one who was tackled or found first, and even Adraxxia had learned to defend herself on his hide, and he had been terrified of hurting her, or anyone else. But as he had reached maturity at two years he had learned to never take anyone at their word, he trusted no one but his father and siblings, he even had problems with taking other pack members at their word. He gave no thought to Avalon's other pups and they wanted nothing to do with them...and so he avoided them...well almost all of them. He had taken a weird shine to Luparia, and made sure that he took care of her eating and being protected however, lately she seemed to be doing a little traveling and he couldn't help but smell Olyvar on her, and he grunted with jealousy, it would figure she wanted to spend time with her own brother, even though she looked more like him than that....cloud and vine colored pip-squeak.
As he walked through the woods, making sure to high step over roots, and avoid trees, lest he trip and get stuck into another one and have to spend his afternoon trying to dig out without pulling out fur and blood. He was hoping for an encounter with someone, perhaps someone he needed to chase out, he had yet to run into any wolves like this. A part of him would like to believe it was his size but he knew more than anything it was his father's reputation for not only being kind to those who needed it but utterly vicious when it came to protecting what he considered his. Aroh didn't know it but as he walked through the forest wishing he was invisible his wish was coming true in spurts and bursts. He would become invisible for a few moments, then flash into being visible. The longer and harder he wished for it, the longer he faded from view, and though he could feel his muscles rippling and he could feel things touching him, he did not look down at his own paws to see that he had in fact become invisible. Soon however, the scent of another wolf along the border of the forest, maybe more within the forest caught his attention and he sprinted off in that general direction.
When the rainbow feathers came into his view he abruptly halted, again still invisible he thought he would stand out to this creature as much as she, apparently did to him. He could smell her gender, but truth be told he had never seen anything like her before, Citrine and Rava had been beautiful and colorful, and even Luparia and her sister Eolande were pretty but none of them looked like what he was looking at now. She had beautiful rainbow colored wings, with a creamy body, and here she was curled up about the roots of a tree in front of him. Could she have seen him, he would have looked ridiculous trying to pick his tongue up off the ground. Straightening, and not realizing she couldn't see him he cleared his throat and said, “You are dangerously close to the forests claimed by the Aurelian Enclave, what is your business here..?” It was a rather good thing the beautiful female could not see his face because as serious as he tried to look, he had a rather stupid grin on his face, his body told him he liked females, but his brain...well his brain had a lot of catching up to do when it came to talking to females, and he was sadly aware of this fact. He would find out her intentions, and then see how he could assist her, he sadly did not want to chase her out of the territory if he didn't have to, and he knew his father, brother and probably sister if she could patrol would feel the same way....[/scrolly]
