The green and brown fur blended with the more floral landscape she’d grown up in and the leaves and vines contained no bright flowers that stood out. This was completely different territory however; cold and white with snow everywhere. There were trees about, though they couldn’t protect her dark coat from bringing attention to herself. Failing to see the dangers though, Taimi didn’t really mind too much for the moment.
Actually, in all honesty the Kukkien would rather she was seen. She had been growing awfully lonely without anyone around her and had vowed to join the first pack that she came across. With the only pack in the Western area having shifted up North, she had passed through without crossing a single one but now she had reached the Taiga. It was of course the current residence of the Cadre, not that Taimi was aware of this; she had scented the Enclave and that was her target pack. Whilst the landscape of the Cadre was perhaps a better option for her, she probably would do better in the Enclave. It was a wonder really that she’d made it this far on her own.
Having never joined a pack before, Taimi simply lingered around the edges of the land awaiting someone else to find her. She of course had a voice and knew she could use it, though one thought in her mind was that surely she, a simple loner shouldn’t be able to summon the leader of a pack at will or any member of it whatsoever. Fairly logical thinking really, and perhaps more carefully planned than any other part of her journey. Nope, she wouldn’t disturb anyone, simply sit here and wait for someone to find her.

A distance away a large dark green body slammed through the underbrush of the forest, snarls and growls escaped his maw as he had latched on to a rather…rebellious doe. The prey just refused to go down, and while a Yagi could take down a deer on it’s own it was rather trying work. His breath escaped in loud grunts as he held onto the doe’s face, particularly it’s nose, attempting to cut off it’s air supply so that he didn’t have to go running through the forest and risk tripping over a root and losing his intended prey. The doe had been younger and saw no problem venturing in close to the edges of the forest for some of the better moss on the trees, and the thicker greenery it loved it eat. Ahote had been watching from afar but also had been experimenting with a new power that had seemed to be gifted to him, he could meld into the shadows, and he had used this particular power to sneak up on the doe in question. Now becoming irritated with the struggling prey who had more than the usual desire to stay alive he let go of the beast’s nose and grabbed for it’s neck, his sabers puncturing the skin, and as blood filled his mouth and ran down his muzzle he snarled viciously and turned his body to slam his hip horns into the creature, piercing further vital organs and watching as the animal finally fell.
Irritated with the entire endeavor he sat down next to the creature and placed his claws against the ribcage, slashing it open and ripping a piece of flesh from his kill. He usually did not hunt by himself, if at all unless he was bringing something quick down for himself, he had sons who needed the practice and females who needed the food, it was not entirely fair for him to go gallivanting through the forest picking off prey which would be better served feeding his pack. After what seemed like hours he pulled his head up, a good portion of the animal been eaten. He licked at his muzzle for several moments before putting his mouth around the neck again and proceeding to drag the kill back closer to the Home Tree, he had eaten his fill and there was still plenty, and with the Cadre wolves being in his lands he was going to make sure everyone was taken care, if it killed him. Ahote refused to admit that one day he might be too old to care for his pack and at that point his sons would have to take over; nope stubborn pride was just not going to let that notion stick within his mind. After dropping the meat by the Home Trees he stopped at a stream to clean his face as best he could, but he knew his muzzle would mostly likely be stained red for at least a few hours.
Seeing as he had eaten, and he had had a full night of sleep he decided he would patrol the borders before checking in with some of the other pack members, see what was needed, how everyone was. It was easier as the sun went down to communicate with his pack members since most if not all resides in their respective trees. Shaking himself, and taking a deep breath he headed off, he knew that while he was patrolling and scent marking it would also give him the perfect excuse to use his shadow power. If the Great Spirit had to offer him a power he was thankful for the ability to move within the shadows, as if he needed any help being intimidating. A few trees he passed by, a few he stopped and scraped his horns against them, he scratched up dirt and scattered his scent about, being sure to only mark places where others in his pack hadn’t necessarily done. As long as the marks were made by males in his pack who smelled like him and their lands, he was okay with letting them mark the borders. He was actually sitting in the shadow of a large tree when he came across what he thought was a…moving..pile of…green?
Now, all of his pups were gifted, and though he would like to take credit for that he couldn’t, but this, this was unusual, what animal looked like this? It’s pelt was dark, like his own, but he didn’t see any horns, and she was by far too small to be a Yagi. Could she had been a hybrid? His mind ran over all the possibilities, but he finally thought of one possible thing, this could be a Kukkien! He had never met one, or been up close and personal to one after all, especially being in his snowy kingdom, he imagined it wasn’t the best environment for them. Finally stepping from the shadows, his eyes reflecting the light of day seemed to glow as he got a little closer. The red stain around his muzzle, matched with the dark green of his fur and tall spiraling horns made him look dangerous but the look in his eyes was curious. Obviously it was a female by her scent, but he was more interested in her pelt, and why it looked the way it did. Raising a brow he spoke, the low rumble of his voice was still filled with authority even if he was curious. “I am Ahote, Drott and Alpha to the Aurelian Enclave, what brings you so far north into our lands?” It was a polite way of asking, what are you doing here? But no one could say Ahote didn’t give anyone a fair chance.

ooc: Well Taimi does need Ahote to join so thank you for responding! xD
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Tables/Taimi1Mid.png]Patiently Taimi sat there, not tempted to disturb them nor to run off into the territory to find them for herself. Quiet and still, her light coloured eyes simply looking for someone who could potentially see her and come help. It took a while but eventually another green coloured figure, though much larger than her own size, came into view, moving towards her. Taimi wondered if she had momentarily dozed off, for it seemed that he had appeared out of nowhere, but it didn't matter to her. Someone was here.
She stood up quickly, though resumed a harmless posture, not that it was an easy task for her to have even tried to look tough and dangerous before the large Yagi male. She tried to still her long tail, it's wavering movement signifying happiness that she had been found, failing to realise that the male might be annoyed to find another wolf had been sat in his territory. Fortunately though his new species encounter and perhaps the good mood from rest and full stomach kept Taimi safe.
He greeted her in a rather polite manner and the Kukkien sharply dipped her head in respect and apology for her delay to do so. She'd gotten carried away with herself, had forgotten her pack manners temporarily, now that wasn't very good at all. Admittedly she hadn't needed them in the past, what with her parents being in charge, though each pup had still been educated.
"My name is Taimi, Mr Ahote, Sir." Simply using the first couple of respectful words for a male, Taimi tried her hardest to be polite. If she wanted to join his pack she certainly didn't want to anger him. "I want to join a pack, could I join yours?" She requested, her cheerful, sweet tone never wavering and now recalling her manners. She certainly meant well, and was still young, although not so much for a Kukkien. It seemed that she was determined to age like a average wolf life-span, even if she had never actually known the aging process of others.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a190/lilDiablo_/ahotemid.jpg] For a wolf that seemingly was part plant he didn't quite understand why she was traveling into the snow ladden lands he called home. Their summers were so short he wasn't quite sure how any wolf besides the Yagi could stay here and be happy. But now that he thought about it he had several hybrids, lupus, and many sennyo attached to his pack, and no other Yagi besides his own young, he supposed it was easy to make an assumption based on looks alone. He mentally chastised himself for doing such but it was just a natural reaction when he saw a scared Sennyo cowering against the wind, or a wolf who was just as green as he was but seemed to be a host for....growing things. He had to wonder in the short span of time he was looking at her, did the plants die in bad weather? How did they even stay on her? His natural curiosity was weighing out over most anything else and he craned his head to see or get a closer view of the female, she didn't seem aggressive or someone that would hurt him or could hurt him and so for a few moments he put his defensiveness to the side. She seemed almost like a pup in some of her mannerisms and he tilted his head, realizing there was so very much he did not know about the wolves that inhabited the lands he called home. With a different type of wolf it might have disturbed him but Ahote simply smiled and made it a point to try to explore this wolf, learn more about her. Without trying to be rude he circled around to her side and sniffed at her, trying to get close enough to see more of her.
He watched her tail wag and chuckled softly as he continued his inspection of her, she didn't seem weakly or small. She didn't seem to have any defects other than the fact that there were plants seemingly growing out of her. His ears perked and moved to the left and right respectively as she seemed to jump up but remain in an un-aggressive stance. He had had members before that she reminded him of, Avalon for one, although motherhood had definitely brought Avalon's hyperactivity level down a notch. He couldn't help but to find the seemingly you female to be amusing, normally he would be angry and annoyed by a wolf in his territory, but it would seem the female did not have any ill intentions. If by some miracle he was taken in by her personality and seemingly kind facade she would not only have him to deal with but many others whom he believed would fight for their territory and their pack. He knew the members he did have were loyal and whether or not it had been him keeping them safe and providing for them or something else that instilled their loyalty he didn't care, all that mattered was that he had it and could depend on it when he needed it. His eyes continued to scrutinize over her as he pondered why exactly vines and greenery was going out of her back, and why her stomach was brown...He felt closer to her by her coloring and her personality and he couldn't help but hope she had come to join his pack.
He held back a large snort when she began to speak, and she called him, a mister Ahote. He wasn't quite sure how to handle that, but she spoke with manners and had indeed asked if she could join the ranks amongst the Enclave. She reminded him of his own daughter Adraxxia, she was so kind and sweet to others, even those who were not so sweet to her, and it softened his heart to the earth colored female in front of him. “Well you have impressed me with your manners, and I think having a wolf like yourself will pick things up for everyone around here, we don't have any wolves like you, I know I am certainly fascinated...” Remembering that he did indeed need to tell her how things worked in the pack he straightened slightly, sitting down in front of her. “Things in the Enclave work a little differently then in other packs...Our females are not allowed to hunt big game, nor are they allowed to fight, we prefer that if you choose to travel around the territory you let a male escort you, we have a Home Tree which has several dens carved out of it, for males and females exclusively.” He spoke in a deep voice, but slowly so she could assimilate all the important information, “Finally we don't have mates here, well they are not forbidden but they are not looked highly upon, the females in our pack are the mothers of the pups, and so they may choose a male to mate with, to ensure we breed the strongest, healthiest pups. If all this sounds acceptable, I welcome you to the Aurelian Enclave..” He leaned in with a friendly smile, his savers glistening, “And you can just call me, Ahote.”

A part of her was tempted to shift her head and watch him for a moment, but in the same was he was more polite in his actions, Taimi didn't want to be rude either. Telling off the wolf who could potentially become her new alpha, or Drott as he had called it wasn't something that she wished to do. It was foolish and although Taimi had never pushed herself to acquire as much knowledge or as many skills as other Kukkien, she wasn't entirely stupid, no matter how that innocent and playful exterior caused her to be presented.
This all being some facade wasn't something that Ahote had to worry about however. If she could read thoughts Taimi would have likely informed him of that knowledge, though it would perhaps not be taken kindly either. 'I won't hurt you silly' perhaps wasn't the best phrasing to use when trying to calm any potential worries of an alpha, though Taimi would have likely said something of similar nature. Fortunately her mouth stayed shut, simply awaiting when she was spoken to again.
The smile that Taimi was generally seen with soon appeared across her features as Ahote spoke of the fact he was pleased with her. She hadn't even really done anything at all yet! That was certainly nice to hear though and she was certainly thinking that she could like it here in his pack. She didn't say anything thought, simply listening as he continued on with more serious matters, listing various facts about the pack, she nodded her head slightly at each point as she took it all in. Finally another lighter comment as he asked her to simply call him Ahote. Another nod of her head; "OK Ahote!"
"I've only ever been in one pack." She stated, for all she knew the Enclave could have been normality whereas her own was strange. "I've got it all though, so I'm allowed to join?" Just another word of final confirmation before she did anything she wasn't supposed to do. She would of course need escorting through the territory now though, having no idea where she ought to go and not wanting to alarm other wolves in the territory, that realization prompted another question to follow once Ahote had replied to the first. "Will you escort me through the territory? Or are you busy and I have to wait for someone else now?" She used his wording on the matter, not to make fun of it or anything, she was seriously asking.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a190/lilDiablo_/ahotemid.jpg] Curiosity finally got the better of him and the larger green Yagi burst out with, “How are you doing that?!” He was of course indicating with his eyes and head the vines and various greenery that was attached to her back, “I mean how does it stay there? Does it die? Won't being here in the Taiga make it hard for that to...grow?” His eyes were filled with questions about how things worked for her, and he found it rather appropriate to ask, he needed to know how things worked and what he might need to do in case she needed something. “Do other things grow on top of you? Do you control plants...like a lupus? What about eating, what do you eat?” If he had less tact he would have said, 'What do I need to provide for you?' He knew a lot about most other types of species, at one point in time he had had Caella wolves and he knew his lands were too harsh for them, the lake while a source of water froze over in certain parts making it dangerous. Besides the more hardier breeds he did not have to worry so much about, he could not even tell how many winter nights he spent checking in on the Sennyo females who had taken residence in the female Home Tree. It was ever amazing how such brittle, frail creatures found their way to him and decided one of the coldest territories would make the best home for them. Then again it could have been his reputation more than anything else after all, it was how Duchan found him.
Her enthusiasm was refreshing and though she acted young he was sure his own brood of youngsters would find her delightful. She wasn't quite so heavy that they could wrestle or play with her in the more rough ways they still found each other playing but he was sure they would enjoy her company none the less. He certainly found her to be very unlike most members he had accepted, and for a moment, Ahote felt very old. He had accepted his fair share of members, and they had come and gone, some just disappeared, and some were still here. Those he considered closest to him were still here, and those that had annoyed him had found their own way to their maker, or found themselves in a situation which hadn't ended well. His thoughts rambled on into the future, and how he would make sure that his pack remained the way he had wanted it to be. For the first time he felt an off sensation in his mind, an uncertainty for the future not only for himself but for those he cared about, for his pack. Trying to rid himself of the morbid thoughts he was entertaining he turned his attention back to the perky Kukkien in front of him, just the way she said his name made him want to chuckle, it was amusing to say the least and he found that she would more than likely be an asset to the dreary winters that plagued his pack, and set all their spirits down.
He straightened up and listened intently when she spoke of being in one pack prior to coming here, this was always pertinent information. If she was a member of a pack he recognized and was not on friendly terms with, his trust would go down to barely anything if at all. He felt this way about mafia wolves, and he knew the packs to which he was allianced would feel the same way. Although the more he interacted with her, the more he felt she would not survive in a pack like the mafia more likely she was like many other wolves who when they reached adulthood tried to move out on their own to a territory that would house them and give them a future. “Yes, you have been accepted. As a female, you will be called Eranthe.” At her question as to whether or not she would be escorted through the territory by him he quirked a brow. Somehow he had never heard that question, no one had ever asked him to escort them, he had taken a few out of the storms, rain and snow back to the Home Tree but he had never escorted anyone around...But he supposed he could take the time to escort this little perky female about. “I'll escort you myself, I will find it surely pleasurable. Right now, the forested area around our central den site is known as the Ratten Forest. From here, we can hit the Aalek Valley, and make our way into the central heart of the territory...” With that he turned and paced a few steps, waiting for her, “Why don't you tell me more about yourself and your pack while we walk?”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Tables/Taimi1Mid.png]Ahote's sudden quick-fire of questions took Taimi by surprise. It wasn't simply the number and speed of them, but simply shock at having been asked so suddenly in the first place, the questions simply burst out of the Yagi. Whilst she hadn't actually met a wolf of every single species, the adults of the pack had shared information on them, Taimi did have knowledge to not need to ask such questions as these. It took a moment of course for her to realise just what Ahote was asking her, but eventually it came to light.
"It just grows." Taimi stated simply. "All Kukkia have plants of some kind growing on them." At least she had never seen one without some kind of greenery or flowers upon their manes. "We can't control them though." Having learnt things and even met Lupus on her journey, she knew that they had some elemental powers, including of course power over plants.
"I don't know..." As for whether the vines would die? Well Taimi honestly had no idea, she had never ventured into such a different territory and hadn't considered it. She hoped it would all be ok, surely she would feel rather bare without that comfortable weight of the plants upon her back. "Oh and I just eat normally. I think it's normally anyway."
"Oh thank you!" Her long tail swished back and forth again as he confirmed that she had been accepted into the pack. The positions meant little to her at the moment, but she would learn in time from the other pack members around. What were they all like she wondered? Ahote seemed rather nice.
She followed Ahote at his agreement to escort her, nodding her head lightly as she took in the information he gave her about the pack lands. Her memory certainly wasn't bad, she felt confident that she would remember with only a little prompting. "Alright then." She gave another nod of her head at Ahote's request, it was only fair he was her alpha now, or Drott as he had called the position, if he wanted to know a little more it wouldn't hurt.
"It was only a small pack really? How big is yours?" She suddenly realised she hadn't asked that question, not that it mattered too much. "Mine was mainly my family and a few other wolves. We were all Kukkia and lived towards the Western lands." What else should she say, she wasn't really sure what else to say about herself or pack. "What else would you like to know?"
