Ever since their last coupling, she felt that much closer to Reynard, they had similar values, like that of family, and a legacy, and she wanted to make sure that the pack was left in those capable paws of those pups that Reynard had fathered. She had also broken the news to her other pups, and through them she was sure, Nocht, and Altan, and Angel knew, as well as Aurora’s newest pups. News would spread through the pack sooner rather than later and as the Queen sauntered through the forest that she called home she reveled in the feeling of being a soon to be mother again. Sure, she did not love her limited mobility, and her trouble with flying in these later moments of pregnancy, but it would all be worth it when she saw the small faces of her beloved pups. Each day she had gotten up and walked, gathered the necessary herbs and even took some with her meals to make sure she remained healthy throughout this special time. She had not shirked her duty to the pack, as she was still available for healing the injuries and illnesses that came her way, although she did keep a mindful distance from anyone who might endanger her pups.
Today she had decided after getting up and stretching to visit the river, and take a small dip, cleaning her pelt and fur in the warming water. The pack lands were no longer gripped by the air of winter. The rains of spring came and with them, new life had sprouted all around the valley and she could not help but be grateful that her pups would be born during such a wonderful time of year. When everything around her was bursting with life it just seemed so appropriate that she too would be rounded and soon forth coming with new life. She flapped along in the water, and scratched herself gently and idly on a rock to discharge any dirt or anything dangerous from her body. When she felt completely clean and soaked to the bone she padded up to the banks of the river and shook and looked at her sides as best she could. Well yes, she was large, but all females managed to become a larger size when carrying precious cargo, but she would be happy for the day she would give birth and try to begin the process of regaining her figure once more.
She stood there for a long moment, the water running down her back and legs as she tried to decide what to do, and where to go. She couldn’t hunt, and she had already eaten anyway. Flying was a dangerous proposition so soon to giving birth, and if her mate could promise not to engage in anymore stupid, dangerous plans then she could curtail her flying. “I could always sun….” She spoke in soft and gentle tones to herself, and those she carried with herself, and decided with an affirmative nod that sunning herself did indeed seem like a great way to spend the afternoon. With that decision made she headed up to the white rocks where she had remembered the last pack meeting coming from. There were many trees around, offering her shade, but right now what she wanted was sun and warmth to bathe her dripping pelt on. She wandered about until she saw a few smaller rocks leading to a larger one that would support her comfortably and she smiled softly, “Here we can dry off little ones..”
It was not unusual that new mothers often spent time alone, she knew the other younger pups were not happy with her decision to have another litter, but what they would realize in time was that she needed to feel needed again. Her pups, and those of Aurora’s were nearing two, soon enough they would be falling in love and thinking of ideas about their own families. She could not even imagine having her pups have pups of their own but she knew it was time. Nocht and Moon would hopefully have wonderfully colored fire puppies, and Angel and Altan would find their own way too. She was worried for her own pups and Aurora’s but she would not stop being their mother just because she was having a new litter…it was just that right now that took priority. She wanted to believe down in her heart that her other pups would fall in love with these pups just as Nocht and Moonrose had fallen in love with the latest litters. “Don’t worry my little loves, everyone will love you, I already do and so does your father..” Now as she lay on the rock she spread out her wings and tail so that they could have ample sun and time to dry out first, and then she would turn as she could to finish drying the rest of herself.
She wondered where the rest of the pack members were, and if they had heard the news through rumor or if Reynard would officially announce it. Either way it would be hard to not tell the Queen was due and due soon, she sighed a sigh of pure contentment as she watched the insects crawl around, and small animals peek their head up from the ground, and their dens. Most of them would have little ones of their own too she mused, her mind far too caught up on the idea of procreation. This was how it must be though, for all things to survive there must be new litters of everything, including the wolves. Feeling the sun heat her wings she lifted one and turned to her side, careful to not crush a wing or be uncomfortable. Musing aloud, “I wonder where everyone else is, what they are thinking of…I’m sure anyone could find me if they needed me…” Boredom was a frequent problem amongst soon to be mothers though, too little space, feeling cramped, or coddled, and not enough to do. She had re-organized Reynard’s den several times until she had finally gotten it the way she had wanted it, and even then she had scooted him out to change it again just to make it perfect. Now, she longed for the companionship of another female, another mother to speak too….a huff of sadness escaped her in that small moment. [/scrolly]

[OOC// Well, I promised myself I wouldn't post on this, but nobody else did. Plus I hadn't posted Aurora in months! I hope I'll be able to reply asap but I'm usually at Mom's for the summer. Oh! Sorry about the post. I wasn't sure how to start it. >_<]
Aurora padded through the rocky area gracefully. She avoided the sharp edges of the rocks with ease and hardly paid any attention. It was focused on her thoughts; that's all she seemed to have nowadays.
Her latest litter of pups hardly needed her anymore. They could probably go off on their own and be fine. But Aurora wasn't ready to let them go. It was as if her horrific incident when Altan and Nocht were little was repeating itself, when she couldn't come back. Altan and Nocht ended up being fine (save for a grudge against their mother), given care by one of Aurora's dearest friends. So the situation with Alla and Naomi wasn't much different. Aurora would just have to face the facts that her pups were going to grow up and be more independent. However she felt now, she was still their mother.
She sighed. And what about Raigho? It was him that Aurora had seen that day when Naomi had run off. She was sure of it. But he had no recollection of her or their children. He must have ran off again, however, because she has yet to see him again.
"Ouch!" Aurora exclaimed as she bent to lick at her paw, which had landed quite uncomfortably on the sharp edge of a rock. That's what I get for not paying attention, she thought. Thankfully the rock had only caused a minor scratch and she wasn't in any trouble.
Then a recognizable scent reached her nostrils, causing her to look up. She could hardly see from her distance. Padding closer and squinting, she confirmed the scent. Satinka . . .
What was she supposed to do now? Tinka was a mother, a healer, and the Queen. She couldn't exactly run away if told to remain there. Plus they weren't exactly on great terms right now, with her mate being the father of Aurora's latest litter.
But Aurora missed her companionship, and why couldn't they talk? Tinka was Aurora's adopted daughter before those wretched berries had sacrificed their relationship. Aurora swallowed hard, pushed away her guilt, and approached Satinka. She stared at her swollen belly, and blinked. Pregnant? Tinka was pregnant again, and nobody had told her? I'm always last to know everything, Aurora thought.
"Satinka?" Aurora mumbled.
Thanks to Who, for the table!

Her motherly instincts kicked into overdrive but she was in conflict, a part of her was always on the defensive but she was the Queen as such she needed to help any member in danger or who was hurt. The sight of her trying to get up must have been comical and she herself would have laughed if the sight of her trying to roll her rolly polly self over wasn’t so frustrating. “Damn this newly rounded form!” She growled through gritted teeth as she finally managed to sit up and bring her tail around to whip irritatedly around her paws. The wind carried the scent of the wolf who was coming closer, and she widened her eyes slightly…Aurora…Her adopted step mother’s name sounded like a soft breeze through her mind, and her heart which was aching to run to her was checked by her mind, fogged by pregnancy.
Here was a female who had mated with her mate the same night, and although she had come out ahead she had not forgiven herself or her mate for that night. Then Aurora had seemed like she practically hated her, not coming to see her, or her pups and she knew from Reynard that she had not wanted him near her pups regardless of him being the father. She could not blame the female, for she could only imagine what Aurora thought the night he mated her and then made her daughter his Queen and mate. She sighed audibly, she could only guess and hint at what the other two wolves in the equation were feeling, and she could only speak for herself, but now was the time to speak. They were alone, no pups milling around, her mate off patrolling, and so there they were two shadows in the day. One bright, and red, small and fiery, yet caring and compassionate, and one white and gray, with a temper of her own but trying to shine with love.
“Aurora….” She was close enough now that she could get a good look at the other female, and she saw the flicker of shock when she looked at her pregnant form, this pregnancy seemed to happen a lot faster, she felt like just the other day she had talked to her mate about having another litter…actually as many litters as she could before she lost him. Now here she was swollen and just a little ways out from giving birth again, Reynard’s family would be huge by the time they were done but Satinka could do nothing but glow in the brilliance of pregnancy. “I..” She tried hard to find the words to tell the other female had much she had missed her, her companionship, she had wanted them to raise her pups together…to have her there while she gave birth. The flood of words died on her tongue though and she tried to slowly make her way down the rocks. No matter what rank the pack gave her she never wanted to look down at Aurora from a perch.
When she had slowly and carefully made her way down the rocks to stand before her, she folded her wings in against her back and whipped her tail a few times for good measure before she tried to speak again. “Aurora…there was so much I was going to say….time has just seemed to fly by and every time I tried to find you..I always figured you would hate to see me…let alone talk to me..” Her eyes became slightly frantic as she continued..”I never stopped loving you Aurora! I look at you as though you are my own mother! You taught me about the gift of healing, and you comforted me when I was scared. You were with me when I first found Moonrose and needed help! You were there through all the important times of my life here in the valley and ever since that night…” She swallowed softly trying to think…”I can only speak for myself but I never meant for you to get hurt…to be pushed to the background…I barely remember that night…something about those berries…but afterwards you seemed to hate me, barely able to look at me…”
Her eyes filled with tears as she looked down and shifted uncomfortably..”Aurora…I can’t speak for Reynard or your situation with him….I feel as though I punished him suitably for what he did to me that night…but I never wanted to lose your love. I lay in agony when I gave birth wishing that you had been there, I was scared, terrified actually, hurt and lonely, I wouldn’t let anyone in and after finding out you were in labor I knew you couldn’t come. I’ve been a terrible coward to not seek you out before now and say this, and selfish as well to not come and see your puppies. Nocht did tell me they were girls, and I am sure they are beautiful…” Mumbling now she didn’t quite know how to make herself look less stupid for blurting out all those things but now her ears lay back against her skull as she waited to hear out the other female, her feelings, her anger and hurt. For all that she could say, Satinka knew she would be justified in anything she had to say to her, but she hoped against hope Aurora could find it in her heart to love her again. [/scrolly]

The silence between them seemed to last forever, Aurora feeling quite awkward in the situation. How was Aurora supposed to make up with her adopted daughter at this moment? She had mated with Tinka's mate on the same night that Reynard proposed his love for the keiyou. Although the mating wasn't purposely, it still bothered her. Which it should.
Satinka was the first to speak up. She had Aurora's full attention. Satinka seemed to be full of pain. Both physical, and mental. The words died between them again, and Aurora watched cautiously as Tinka made her way down the sharp rocks.
Aurora trusted Satinka, no matter what had happened and what would happen. She loved her like her own, and nothing would ever change that. So she wasn't being cautious as to what the female would do to her, but if she might fall and hurt herself. Aurora was a healer, and would not hesitate in healing Satinka should she need it.
Aurora's own eyes filled with tears as she listened to her daughter's words, so heartfelt and sincere. "Tinka," she began, not exactly sure how to tell her all that she meant to her. Aurora pawed closer to the female, attempting to comfort her.
She nuzzled her lightly and pulled back, staring deep into Tinka's dark eyes. "Tinka. I love you like my own, and you have always been there for me. There isn't anything that either of us could do to change that. I have been waiting for this moment silently ever since that night," she paused, "but I was so afraid. Afraid you would hate me. Those berries were contaminated, I believe. It was not on your mate's own decisions that it happened. He needs not to be punished," Aurora offered a smile, "but I, however, have such a different story. I admit that I didn't know he was coming to talk to me about you, but nevertheless I never ate one berry. And I wanted the same thing during my pregnancy. They could have grown up together...closer than they are now." Aurora's ears fell back on her head as she realized that she never contributed to the relationship of her pups and their siblings. "I wanted to see you all along. I just wasn't so sure you wanted to see me. And Tinka, Nocht told you correctly. You will have to see them one day," she paused again, "I have named one Naomi, and one Alla."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,230,true] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=background,http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt87/Tye-Lily/Comissions/tinka3.jpg] [scrolly:h(171),w(420),sy] It was so hard to believe that any day now possibly she would be having her second litter. It seemed like just yesterday she had came, met Reynard and he had made her one of his nurses. Then she had happened upon Moonstone and gained healing powers. Then she had sought out Aurora to help her deal with what the Great Spirit had gifted her with. Satinka was amazed by the very fact that in such a short period of time so much had seemingly happened. She had aged, her mate had aged and been through several horrible accidents, she had raised one litter and was on to her second. Even Aurora had aged and she had brought up two beautiful daughters from what she had heard. The whole situation between the two keiyou and the one lyxxus had nearly ripped them all apart, emotionally, mentally and even physically. She had not known she would spout out all her emotions like this, everything that she had wanted to say to Aurora had been bottled up and swallowed time and time again. But now that she stood in front of her she could no longer hide the emotions that threatened to overwhelm her very being.
She saw Aurora watch her as she came down the rocks, and although her look was one of caution she seriously doubted the other female thought she would hurt her. There were no pups around besides Tinka's unborn and even though in a natural fight she may win by size alone, Satinka was not a fighter, not anymore. She was a mother, and a healer, and one who persevered through things to try to find a more peaceful solution. It was one of the reasons she felt her daughter Loca and she did not get along. Her daughter was headstrong and stubborn and had a very fiery personality. Tinka was ever amazed at some of the things that had come out of her mouth especially when it came to Aurora's own daughters. Ever since she had her first flying lesson with her father and one of the other pups happened to be close by, she thought she would never hear the end of that rant. Her mind gave a resigned sigh, there was no way to change her daughter, she hoped that through experience and her life she would learn not everything required her stubborn solutions.
Aurora's nuzzle into her pelt made her smile with relief, she thought she would never feel the female this close ever again. But she trained her ears forward to listen to what she had to say, that she, much like Tinka had wanted resolution ever since the act had been committed but neither one of them were brave enough to seek each other out to find it. Her adopted mother's words rang clear in her ears, about always loving her and that nothing would change that, and it brought fresh tears to her eyes. She was so upset, her emotions completely overwhelming her. Not only was she genuinely upset to begin with with the entire situation now she had the hormones of pregnancy running through her system. Even through her tears she was trying to listen to what Aurora was saying. She may not have seen the need for her mate to be punished but she did. She blamed the berries partially, but she wasn't so sure that Reynard didn't deep down make the decision that he wanted to mate with Aurora after all their years together and him basically raising her two sons.
“Oh Aurora....I think we all were affected by the berries, and we all had impaired judgment and it was just a night from hell....regardless of the beautiful pups that came from it.” Her own ears went back to match her Aurora's. She felt sop guilty, their children basically hated each other...”I can see why your daughters feel the way they feel, with all of his injuries and everything...I just...I should have encouraged them more...I know Loca would have loved to have more sisters...” With any luck she would have them now but she was afraid that it was too late, she was already so stuck in her ways...and here Aurora had had two daughters whom she could have gotten to know more, done more for, help them with any questions, taught them about herbs...all opportunities that had been stolen from her. As she listened to the names of the little ones and smiled softly, “Such beautiful names, I would be honored to meet them...I doubt they will like me very much but I would do anything for them aurora..just like I would for you..”
She looked up at the sky as though she had lost something, and in essence she did. Flying while pregnant was never a good idea, and she as usual she missed her first choice home, the clouds and the sun on her wings. “I had three, two boys a girl...the oldest a boy is named Halcyon, who looks nearly identical to Reynard, and then my daughter, Loca Jaci, who looks very much so like me. Finally, my baby Blaisen, he is the perfect mix of his parents and he has been hovering over me nearly constantly since he found out about the next litter...my daughter has decided not to come around and Halcyon has disappeared...” Worry tinged her voice, no matter how old her pups got she would constantly worry, and she wondered if Aurora felt the same way about Nocht and Altan, even with all that had happened between them...in between breaths she said softly, “I just...I know my pups aren't happy about this new litter but...I just wanted as many memories of Reynard as possible...I feel death so close to him, and no healer can truly fight death if it is their time....” She sniffled slightly and nuzzled into Aurora's shoulder, small tears falling from her eyes...”How I have missed Aurora, it's been so hard without you...” [/scrolly]
