Her four tails hung low to the ground, brushing against the plants that stood in her way. They were not much of a challenge, at least not so much as the river that she would quickly be facing here, and there was nothing that could stop her at this point in reaching where she was going. There was determination littering the trusses of her heart, but there was also something akin to fear laying there as well. She was unsure what the complete feeling was and she didn't really want to know at that point. There was only one goal in her head at that moment and she did not want to stray from that goal. Th Guardian, however, was far from inclined to follow through with this.
Moonrose found herself face to face with the thing that had nearly stopped her the last time: the blasted river. However, she padded along until she found the same stepping stones he had shown her and she delicately placed one paw in front of the other, walking across the river with such ease unlike the first time she had done so. She remembered being so afraid to go anywhere near the water. The mighty Guardian was petrified of trying to swim, as she had never learned how to swim, but there was not much she could do. Even though she did not know how to swim, she would not hesitate to throw herself into water to save the life of one of her packmates. While she feared the water, nothing was going stop her from keeping the ones she loved safe and sound. She was a Guardian, and that was her job.
The Lyxxus picked up her pace once she reached the other side, pushing her way through the brambles with no problem. She needed to see him, to apologize. She forced her way faster and faster towards the cave that awaited her, a place she had found herself most sentimental about. When it came into view, her sapphire blue eyes sparkled, beginning to glow in the dimming light. She found herself at the entrance before she could blink, but she could not bring herself to go in. She knew this was where he would be, but...could she even do this. The female sighed. As strong as she was, she found in hard for herself to believe she couldn't even do this. However, she needed to. Padding forward slightly, she hovered at the entrance of the cave.
"Nocht...are you there? Can we...talk, please?"

[/blockquote] Surprises come in small packages [scrolly:h(280),w(285),sy]Nocht was beating off the feelings of nausea that swept his body. The elder sprouts and berries had been eaten up, and he was full out. What came with the ending of the plant was a terrible feeling, where his muscles continually seized up. He hadn't noticed it was this bad before, but he felt absolutely wretched. The young lyxxus was curled up in a dark crevice of the cave. He had explored the cave more, finding small off shoots only big enough for him to fit in. He had moved his stash there, since other wolves were beginning to frequent the cave more and more. Here was a rabbit carcass, some healing herbs, and very little else. He had created an almost bed for himself, using tufts of fur from the kills he had made to cushion the hard rock floor.
There he lay curled up, his face squished up in pain, trying not to writhe about, as the movement made his stomach protest even more loudly. The female who usually plagued his thoughs, despite his chagrin, was far from his mind now as he concentrated on breathing through the pain. He hadn't spoken to Reynard lately; he was busy with his newest batch of pups, and he had stayed away for fears of the hormonal Satinka. Even still, he wished he could speak to his father about such a multitude of things.
With a scowl he found himself curled with his head beneath his paws, eyes squished shut. His body was caked in dust, and his mouth was dry. He had been in such a position for the greater part of the day, not having eaten or drank in the past few hours. But suddenly a smell wafted through the cave. It was the smell before the words which hit him, causing his body to stiffen, his nose flaring. The initial shock caused his eyes to spring open, illuminating the dark cave which he had wedged himself in. The pain subsided momentarily, but was soon back, but not great enough to make the words she spoke disappear too.
Of course, she would come back when he was like this. But then again, she had been with him when he got the plant... why not back here when he was struggling without it? Nocht found himself pushing himself to all fours with effort, slowly crawling through the opening which lead to the main cave. He made no noise, except a loud whimper at one point, collapsing on himself. He quickly picked himself up, a growl covering up the noise he had made, finally coming out into the main body of the cavern.
The crimson lyxxus stood there, his limbs shaking with effort, staring at Moonrose with huge blue eyes. They illuminated the surroundings, but he merely stared at her, half hoping she wouldn't notice the wobble in his legs, and that the whimper had gone unheard.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h448/soarly/Wonderwhy/Tables/Moonie2.png] Her sapphire eyes danced with a mixture of emotions, her mind wracking painfully as she searched the darkness of the cave for any sign of him. At first, there was nothing, and she padded a few steps closer. Another scent washed over her, one she had recognized in a few moments. It belonged to Skylar, someone she had only met once or twice at pack meetings before, and nothing more. A thought came to her mind, a thought that was too painful for her to even consider. Were they...involved? She had no better way to put it, but that was the only thought in her head at the moment that made sense.
Moonrose's heart twisted painfully at the idea, and she attempted to push the thoughts away as far as she possibly could. She was not his and he was not hers, therefore she had no right to worry about these things, but it did bother her still. She cared for the male in more ways than she would honestly care to admit, something she wouldn't do unless pushed to that point, but if he had fallen for someone else, then she would leave him to be with that female. Or male, whichever direction he decided to go. If he was happy, that was all she wanted for him. Sighing, she waited for a few more moments and when nothing happened, she decided she would call out to him one more time. If there was no answer or sign of movement, then she would leave and come back another day.
"Nocht? Are you home?"
The Lyxxus sighed. Perhaps he wasn't here, perhaps Skylar wasn't involved. She was just being silly and for a second she moved to turn away from the cave, feeling a few of the memories flood back into the forefront of her mind. She smiled at the thought of them, but turned back around when she heard something come of the front of the cave. Facing the cave again, she saw Nocht standing there and she immediately noticed the difference in his stance, in his behavior altogether. Blinking a few times, she stared in awe, attempting to figure out what it was that was so different about him.
"Nocht...what's the matter?"
Moonrose stepped forwards, sniffing at his pelt from where she was standing. Her nose barely touched the hairs that were there and she could smell the sweat and anxiety pouring off of him, not to mention traces of elder sprouts. Her head pulled back and she gave him a reprimanding look, "Elder sprouts. Really?" She had been gone for a long while.

[/blockquote] Surprises come in small packages [scrolly:h(280),w(285),sy]Even breathing felt like it hurt. Each movement was an effort, especially since it made him feel nauseous at every turn. He was trying to keep his calm, thankful that the cold air of the cave helped the sweat dotting his brow to leave swiftly enough. Even still he tried to keep completely motionless, his ragged breaths the only noise amidst the glowing blue of his eyes.
He heard her voice call out once more, and now she seemed to be looking closer into the cave, finally seeing his figure. He could barely fathom moving any closer, locking all his muscles in place and staying there, wobbling slightly, but trying to keep his balanace best he could. She spoke again, the words barely registering in his mind. Her soft voice was comforting, but his mind was torn to shreds with pain. Soon she was before him, sniffing him. She would know right away what was wrong, and so Nocht did nothing to resist [not that he could anyways] merely standing there, staring down at her as she examined him carefully like a nurse.
Finally, the moment seemed to be over and she stood back from him, and though her words were almost defeaned by the pain, he could tell she was not pleased. A wince crossed his maw as she spoke, his eyes closing quickly. He bit his tongue, forcing no sound to come from his mouth. Quickly his mouth was filled with blood and he had no other choice but to spit it onto the ground beside him, aiming his best away from Moonrose.
He gave her another look, his resolution strong, but wavering. He was fine. He would be fine. There was nothing wrong. The look wavered, another grimace overcoming his face, as his muscles gave out, letting him fall to the ground in a bit of a messy crumple. Again, his maw stayed clamped shut, the blood filling it once more. He was able to curl his limbs up towards his body and pull himself towards the edge of the cave, leaning himself against the cold surface of the rock. Spitting out another mouthful of blood, he finally succumbed to his weakness, looking up at her with weak eyes.
"Water." He was parched and dehydrated... and though he was almost sure he would throw it back up it was better than nothing.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h448/soarly/Wonderwhy/Tables/Moonie2.png] Her concern was probably over bearing to some, though she didn't often show such things openly, but she did care so much about everyone in the pack. It didn't matter to her whether she liked them or not. They were a part of her pack and that was all that mattered to her. It gave her enough reason to protect the ones that she did spend quite the amount of time with. Personality did not matter to her when it came to defending those who could not defend themselves. Sighing, her mind shifted through the amount of Guardians they did have left in the pack. Coneiron was one of the two First Guardians, the other position, which she had been after from the start, was open. She did not mind being a simple Guardian though. As long as she could protect the pack, then that's all that mattered. The only other Guardian she could think of was Somatra, but she hadn't seen her in some time.
She waited for him to come out of his cave. The stench of him was strong, as were the smells of a few other things within the cave. She couldn't really pick them out, but she did not care. She wanted to talk to him about a few things, to catch up on how he was doing. She missed him, quite honestly, as she did a few others as well. Her claws kneaded the ground blow her, scratching up the gentle dirt underneath her claws. This was her anxiety pressing out of her body, wondering where he was and why there was the scent of the second wolf in there. She did not mind it, she told herself that she would not mind it. It was nothing, it had to be, but that didn't stop her from wondering about it.
Moonrose was relieved was he came out, but her heart clenched when she saw his condition and smelled the reason behind it. Sighing, she stood there, reaching out her muzzle to gently lick his forehead in comfort. She watched him spit out the blood and frowned, stepping aside when he insisted to pad closer to the entrance. She didn't blink when he collapsed, just paced over to him and sat down beside his body.
"Okay. I'll get you some water, Nocht." Her mind reached out to the stream that was not far from them, her power pulling a blob of it from the main source and bringing it to them. She pooled it into a formed block of water, allowing it to hover near his face. She could only hope that he would take it right away, not turn to ask her how the hell she managed it. She had been gifted months ago with Telekinesis. She didn't have full control over it and could not move anything too large for too long, but something as what she was doing now was no problem to her at all. She watched him lay there, falling on her front paws to lay beside him and pressing her shoulder to his. She could only hope this would pass without an issue, and that she wouldn't have to drag his furry rear end to Satinka to fix him.
"Nocht...is this all you've been doing lately?"

[/blockquote] Surprises come in small packages [scrolly:h(280),w(285),sy]Nocht pulled his legs up close to his body, his eyes turned away from the female who stood before him. It was sometimes hard to remember she was a few years older than him, but in circumstances like this, he was well aware. She was much more worldy, much more experienced... it was pretty obvious the way she handled the situation, always the one to be serious while he was still trying to forge his path in the world. Nocht had ideas of her striving to rise her rank in the pack but she had done nothing to confirm this. She had also been gone such a long time as well, so perhaps her ideas had changed. Was she still a part of the Children? Or would her absence mean she was no longer part of their pack?
A forceful sniff brought her scent to his mind, clearing his brain a little bit. Her touch helped ease the pain, but he knew it was only mentally. He felt small and insignificant compared to her proud body sitting beside him as he lay there in a crumpled heap. She replied to his plea, and he nodded awkwardly, expecting her to turn and leave. Instead water magically appeared by his face. He was too tired to let his brain try to process it and just accepted the magical floating water. His mouth slowly opened, tongue lolling out pathetically as he lapped it up into his mouth. Soon the water was gone from the air, and though his mouth felt better, his stomach was not very pleased by the water that had now entered it. He could feel the water sloshing around, and soon he was awkwardly on his feet, wretching up the water he had just swallowed. He groaned at the frothy mess, pushing his body backwards a bit to avoid the water, then collapsing back beside Moonrose. She was now beside him, pressing against him.
He didn't try to hide anything anymore and weakly lay beside her, resting some of his body weight on her. He was only slightly larger than her, which was a good thing. At this point he doubted he weighed very much from the lack of food. She spoke again, and he forced out a laugh, which turned into a cough and then into a wretch. He turned his head away from her body, heaving for a second, spitting out a bit more blood before sinking back towards where he was. With an exasperated shake of his head he lifted it, pointing towards the back of the cave, where a large stack of rabbits, and various other prey lay. At this point some of them were in various states of decomposition, but the coldness of the cave kept them fresh longer.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h448/soarly/Wonderwhy/Tables/Moonie2.png] The Lyxxus found herself glad for the male's company and anyone's company would have been good at that point. She missed being with the pack, as long as she had been on a short hiatus, and she was in no way a loner from the pack. She loved the group of wolves far too much to do anything of the sort, to leave them for any reason at all. It made her glad to have company of some sort at this point and she was overjoyed that it was this particular male. She had no excuse to leave, to disappear as she had for so long. Perhaps she shouldn't be a part of the pack at all, let alone the one who protects the pack. She did not regret joining nor did she regret the position she had taken, but she felt as though she didn't deserve such a rank. She felt ashamed for leaving, for disappearing. She didn't even remember where she had gone.
She often hated her power, the power of Telekinesis. She could easily move many things with her mind and water was really no issue, much like stones and small wolves. In order to move someone like Coneiron, though, it would take a lot more energy and concentration. She had practiced with boulders though, so she assumed that it couldn't be that hard for her. She was about as experienced as the next person with a power such as this. Sighing lightly, she watched with a smile as Nocht drank the water she had summoned for him. "Does that make it any better?" She groomed his fur around his neck gently to ease any pain that he most likely had. She wasn't sure what to do, but she knew he was having withdrawals from the lack of Elder Sprouts. There weren't many in the Children's lands...and he had obviously ran out.
Moonrose watched him wretch one more time, turning to look at the pile of decomposing food. Sighing, she shook her head slightly and turned back to him. "What are you going through, Nocht? I am here for you, you know. You can talk to me." She was here for him, no matter what he wanted. It didn't matter to her whether he accepted her offer or not. She would watch over him as she was supposed to, as a Guardian and as his friend, though she had come to care for him more than that. He didn't know that. Only Satinka did, actually, and Kalylia. She had told only them of her affections for the male. She had gotten advice out of Satinka for it and a mere slight reprimand from Kaly, but only because the smaller Lyxxus believed she had something for Brightness. The hybrid was only a big, doofy brother honestly.
Moon went back to grooming his pelt, "Other than this mess, how are you?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Gifts/Nocht3Mid.png]Nocht, for a brief period, had been able to randomly move objects around like Moonrose had moved the water. But after she disappeared this ability disappeared too. Nocht had no idea how to control it, which was probably good for him. It was quite odd when suddenly the rabbit he had been stalking began floating. But this wasn't something that went through the pained male's mind as he lay there like a crumpled, sad puppy. He nodded slightly before wretching up all the water. Well, it at least had wet his throat a bit.
He hadn't made any trips to the cove since the first, when Moonrose had intercepted him. That was the only place he knew where they grew. There was no way he was going to get out there now, feeling like this. Moon seemed disappointed though, so Nocht just closed his eyes, trying to ignore the guilt. She wanted him to talk to her, and Nocht opened one eye to just stare up at her for a second. Quickly after he shut it again, his body convulsing for a second before calming. He quickly took a staggered breath and looked back up at her.
"It feels... like... I'm being ripped... apart from... the inside..." he managed to heave out, his muscles giving away as he collapsed back onto her. The analogy was fairly close; his head was throbbing and his stomach was back at it, as he heaved again. He groaned, feeling her movements on his fur. It helped ease the pain, if only a little. He tried to concentrate on her movements instead of his pain.
She asked him a question though, and he attempted to reply. "O...kay. Patrolling... hunting... Satinka new puppies... Altan left..." he said in reply, basically summing up the past few weeks. With that he groaned, his head pounding as the words resonated in the cave. His stomach twisted again, and Nocht found himself swimming in his mind. It wasn't long before the male's body relaxed against Moonrose's, with only the occasional shake, as he went unconscious.
[[ ono he's fine, no worries. xD ]]
