The waves crashed on the shore roughly. The sky dark with clouds. The storm was coming in swiftly. Strong winds whipped the waves this way and that. Thunder snarled across the sky. Lightning flashed, lighting up the dark. Rain crashed down feeling like needles on any wolf that felt it.
Lightning flashed, revealing huge waves crashing on the beach. Lightning was what revealed the driftwood. Revealing the white mass of fur that was clinging to it for its life. The waves tossed the young she-wolf this way and that.
Suddenly, she was washed onto the shore. Her driftwood lodging in the sand. Waves crashed as the storm raged on about the near dead female. Soon the storm calmed and left the beach littered with many simple and yet lovely things. Now you could clearly see the female in the faint sunlight.
It was a white Lumen, her fur dazzling in color. Her pelt had silver strands through it, making her sparkle in the faint light. Resting on her forehead was the perfect yellow star. Her sunset pink eyes where hardly open now. Her little earring resting in her left ear.
The female lifted her head weakly. She was struggling to breath, thanks to the water under her. She couldn't drag herself away from the water.

Wicka glided along the side of the beach. She tilted her wings at an angle, landing in the sand. She had been trying out her wings, practicing until she got her landing perfect. But unfortunately, her feathers made too much noise, or she stumbled when her feet hit the ground. She growled and was about to take off again, raising her wings, when she saw something flash at the water. Wicka walked over to it, tense. She stopped as she saw it was a white wolf, silver flashing here and there. She would have walked away then, but something intrigued her. Was it still alive?
Wicka scrutinized it, and soon saw it's sides moving. The wolf was alive. She padded closer to the wolf, and found that it was barely alive. Might as well save it. After all, I've had nothing to do all day. I need something to keep me entertained before I go off somewhere else. Wicka sniffed at the wolf. A female lumen. Wicka had always admired the lumen, for they used their friends and their enemies to stay alive, taking the life force from them from under their noses. She wondered what this lumen was like.
Wicka dragged the wolf up the sand, putting her down when her feet were clear of the water. Wicka stood there, waiting for her to recover. After all, if she dies there, she isn't worth my attention. If she recovers on her own, that's a different story. Wicka waited, wondering what would happen next.

Star spotted the female wolf with her eyes hardly open. She was a black dot moving in the sunlight. A flying dot that had just landed. A winged wolf. She was clearly learning her flying and landing skills. The noise from the she-wolves feathers was louder than expected.
And then she noted the wolf stumbled. A growl reached Star's ears and she groaned in worried panic. The wolf cam closer to her and made her lift her head weakly to show life. For the first time ever, she was thankful for her silver strands.
The she-wolf looked at her wonder in its eyes. Star shivered faintly. The she-wolf seemed to study Star. Then it gathered some conclusion and moved closer to her. The wolf looked interested in her and this was good news in Star's eyes.
Star felt the she-wolf move her. The water was no longer lapping at her pelt. Star had to keep the wolf around, but how. Then it dawned on her.
What better way than to confuse her? Draw in her attention. Make her want to save me so she can find out more.
"Have you.. Seen a.. Living Shadow?" her voice was weak and broken in its sound.

Wicka's ears shot up at the mention of a living shadow. But, then again, she needed to seem disinterested in anything this wolf said. She was amused that the wolf had decided to speak to her, but still, Wicka couldn't risk giving out any information. Wicka was....interested in this shadow. Was it a wolf? Or possibly a ghost. Either way, she hasn't seen any living shadows except for herself. Wicka was curious, though. She would like to meet a living shadow, see what it was like, test whoever this shadow is.
"Sorry, no, I have not seen any living shadows around here. But I would be glad to look for this shadow, as long as you give me a favor in exchange for my work. After all," Wicka paused, a smile forming on her lips. "Nothing is free."

Wicka smiled more, revealing her sharp teeth. Wicka didn't show it, but she knew what this she-wolf was doing. She's trying to keep me around so that way I can save her. But why? After all, if she can speak, then she doesn't need me to tend to her. There might be some kind of hidden wound, but certainly she can take care of herself. Wicka scuffed the sand with her paw. She dug her claws into the moist sand, making deep scratch marks. Wicka let the tiny sand granules run through her toes. She had learned this technique when she had been with her "mentor" the yagi. He had taught her how to scrape the pads of her paws to toughen them up, making them ready for running long distances. Wicka's eyes flashed as she remembered how good his blood felt on her paws. Even better than sand. She thought. [/blockquote]

Star watched her ears flick up at the words she spoke. Her plan had worked very well indeed. She struggled up into a sitting position. The white she-wolf smirked briefly and closes her eyes. Should she keep on? Or should she keep her in the dark? Star opened her eyes and flicked her ears. She had this wolves services. She was going to use it.
"This wolf is Lumen like myself. One of us could grant you a wish. That is," Star paused, her eyes flashing. "We have that power."
Star couldn't help but laugh. She was employing a dark wolf to find a dark wolf. The she-wolf looked at her and smirked. "If you see this shadow wolf tell her that Star is alive. She will follow you anywhere. She thinks I'm dead. With good reason to," she replies as she flicks her ears. Her earring glimmers in the faint sunlight.
The white wolf stood and stumbled. She was regaining her strength. She turns her gaze to the turtle on the sands. She didn't want to do it, but she needed food. Placing a paw on the sea turtle, she started sucking his life out of him. Soon she let the half dead turtle go and stretched. Maybe she was going to be okay.
