For example he knew that pack's would mark their borders with scents and that you shouldn't ever stray across those borders and trespass in their lands. He knew nothing of the pack here, didn't know it was vital that he kept out of their lands but fortunately his righteous mind would keep him safe even without the knowledge.
Orivir had caught the scent of the pack's borders a little while ago as he wandered around around the Jungle. Immediately he had stepped away from those territory lines, backing further away from the outskirts of the pack lands. Perhaps if he had known more about the mafia, Orivir would have thought twice about visiting the Jungle, moved Northwards from the Swamp rather than walking to the East. Fortunately he didn't dive too far into the lands though.
It wasn't just because of the fact that a pack resided there, but he felt a little enclosed, he wanted to know where the edge was just so he could escape. He had felt that slight feeling of claustrophobia back in the swamp but that had soon been forgotten about upon meeting Nepara, perhaps someone to help him if he got lost in the mass of vegetation was all he needed to calm him down. Actually, now that he thought about it, there weren't too many differences he could spot between the Jungle and the Swamp. Both were warm and humid. It was drier here though, far less boggy and muddy than the Swamp had been. The comparisons between all that he knew continued, a way to judge things.
In the long run his own mind didn't really help him out though, he needed company for more than to show him the way, he actually needed someone to teach him though he would never outright ask for such help. If he was going to, perhaps he ought to have asked Cedrus, he had seemed intelligent enough and as a former pack leader, well Ori could have put his faith into him. Though Cedrus was still fairly new to the rest of the land, having grown up in a place he'd called the Tundra, wherever that was. Perhaps then Nepara would have made a better guide, though she couldn't leave the swamp, not when she was going to be forming a pack of her own, he hoped it would be successful for her. Even just a guide for each portion of land would work he guessed. Would he find a Jungle guide soon, or perhaps even someone to take on the full-time job. Nonsense though really, he would probably be happier moving around on his own as he had been so far, simply meeting others along the way.

A female wolf, that had been torn and tattered left and right, wandered around the jungle. She smirked, the she wolf no longer as shy or compliant. Of course she would always have a soft spot for the Don... but she knew deep down they all hated her, even him. It was that hatred that drove her into madness, a dark pit where she could never hope to climb out without her body shattering to tiny pieces.
If the don had told her anything, it was not to take shit from anyone, especially strangers to their land. If they wanted to join, they would come upfront and say so. Those who tried to sneak around, would be severely punished if even seen or heard near the territory lines or even found within the jungle. Inaba especially, she envied most other wolves-especially lupus. Those wrenched half breeds. What made them so much better than a mortui? But genuinely, any living creature was a sin in her book... then the smell lingered on her nose, something foreign. Something bittersweet.
How nice.. she growled as he lower jaw clacked, the bone raking the roof of her mouth. A lost wolf in the jungle... this will be fun. Her thoughts clawed at her brain. Of course, it was kind of hard to think straight when your whole body was slowly rotting away, including that.
Lets play a little game... it's called... hit and run.. She laughed as her matted fur rose and bristled, her mind forming an illusion around her. It made her look just like Orivir, besides the stench. Slowly, she made her way out of the shadows and approached the lone eremus.
"Hello." The voice seemed to echo from all directions, not really coming from the wolf itself, it's fake golden tail wagging vigorously.

It was too late for him to realise and avoid anyone however as another wolf soon began to cross his path. Of course still lacking that knowledge about the mafia, he wasn't exactly feeling as fearful as he ought to be. His general cautious behaviour of course still existed though had he known about the mafia, he would have likely decided his best option was to run.
To his surprise however the wolf that emerged was a fellow Eremus it seemed. He had found it odd that Nepara had decided to settle in the swamp, though apparently she had been more sensitive to sun than most of their kind. This one however was a fairly standard looking Eremus, there didn't seem to be much odd about her, apart from her scent of course. The smell of the nearby pack was present signifying that she wasn't a loner like he, though that wasn't the problem. Instead there was the strong smell of rotting flesh, nothing like he had ever smelt before, not on any living thing anyway. It was distracting to say the least, though Ori knew he ought to try be polite, she had spoken to him after all.
"H... hello" He answered, his typical nerves showing through, not sure what to make of the stranger. There was something a little off that he couldn't exactly place and though she appeared to be an Eremus, he wasn't as comfortable with her as he had been with Nepara. Perhaps it was simply the different circumstances, he had thought he'd scared Nepara and sought her out whereas this female here, well she had simply suddenly approached him.

State your business, loner. Or I shall give you reason to limp as fast as your scrawny limbs will carry you." Her tail lashed back and forth as her whole body slowly reverted back to its original state. The gold and smooth fur scattering and revealing her own blue and gray tattered pelt. Her snarl was vicious as the fur around her jaw slowly melted away, her dark muddy tongue lolled about as it dangled underneath the fleshless bone.
"Maybe I should introduce myself.. I am Inaba, fellow mortui and specialist of the Hellion Mafia. At your service." The flesh burned and vanished from her right eye as her lone blue one was laced with grime and infection. It wouldn't be long before she would start going blind. The voice was ominous as it traveled like a snake through the brush. Her mouth not moving, save for clacking bone of her jaws snapping together in psychopathic laughter. Since she could not speak properly because of her jaw and tongue, her hallucinating powers really helped in this way.
The mortui drew closer to the eremus, her one ear flattening against her skull as her upper lip curled back in a snarl. "Go on loner..mock me, laugh at what I am. I know how the living work, they are too attached to life to see the beauty in the living dead." Inaba scratched at the ground near his camel legs. "Speak! Unlike me, I know you can.." The tone of the ominous voice echoed as her hackles rose. Her don would be proud of her. Yes, she would not let this one get away without his tail between his legs if he wasn't a future member.

However it also seemed that she wasn't an Eremus. In all honesty Orivir wasn't sure what to think as her appearance suddenly shifted. Having never actually met a lupus he couldn't compare her to one and instead the closest thing was perhaps a slightly large, shorter legged Eremus without the hooves. Even that wasn't quite close though, with the rotten smell being explained by her deformed appearance. Was this actually what she looked like though or something else entirely still? So confused by the oddities, it took him a moment, thanks to her prompting, to remember her question.
"I... uh... yes Inaba, I do know." He began simply, it seemed almost deliberate then him being here, but as he continued it became more obvious that it indeed wasn't the case. "I didn't know at first, but I can assure you I haven't gone onto the pack lands, nor do I intend upon it." He didn't know how he was doing it really, speaking that was. He was feeling rather worried at the moment with Inaba's attitude and completed shocked by everything that was going on, he kept finding himself in rather strange situations since leaving the desert, of course it was only to be expected in some ways but he'd never anticipated things being quite so different.
"I am Orivir" His own introduction, a polite response to hers, seemed so short. She was already aware of the fact he was a loner and in all honesty he had little else to say about himself right now. Instead he was actually quite fascinated by Inaba. He would have preferred her to be a little nicer in personality, the aggressive nature certainly wasn't something he was fond of but he simply couldn't help himself, perhaps only to assure her that he certainly wouldn't mock her. Odd really, Nepara had expected the same thing of him too.
"So you mean you are not living?" He was genuinely confused by the idea, surely you were either alive or dead, you couldn't be in between. Feeling a little rude for questioning it, he quickly moved on to explain himself a little. "I do apologise Inaba, I just haven't ever seen or heard of a... mortui... that was what you said right?" He tried to stay calm, though truth be told a portion of his mind was screaming at him to run. Another part of him however was curious about Inaba, and wished to clarify that he didn't want to mock her at all. Had he been bolder at that moment, Ori may have pointed out that although she seemed very different, nearly everything he'd seen recently had been rather different, for all he knew he was the odd one with mortui being perfectly normal.
