It was merely a case of how far he could fly uninterrupted. Having soared through the fall breezes he now arrived in some place entirely new. The first thing that crossed his mind was how furious his parents would be had they known that he was missing. But he wouldn't be gone for too long, the flight itself had only taken a few hours. He just needed a change in scenery, or even just to meet someone new. Everything in the Children was monotonous right now, and as much as he hated leaving his aging parents, he needed a break.
His body slowly swooped down to the ground, landing a touch awkwardly on the smooth ground. The grasses were high, even for fall and some wild flowers still poked their way through them. It was a pretty place, he decided, but not one he would like to live. There seemed to be no cover for him here, but it didn't matter. He just wanted to wander and look for a new adventure.
He yawned a bit, stretching out his muscles to remove any cramps they had received in flight. He was getting better at flying, but he knew he would never be as good as his mother or sister. That thought enraged him, but he was much better at other things than Loca anyways. She seemed to have disappeared though and he could tell it brought his parents moods down. Why did she leave? It was a comforting idea for Blaisen, but seeing his parents reaction didn't make the leave any better. It was nice not having her nagging voice around, but he missed his mother's hearty laugh and his father's smile. They seemed to be fading, though it may have just been him.
With his continuous moving he finally came to a long sloping river, and his head lowered to drink from the bubbling current. It was while his head was down that a glimmer caught his eye. He blinked, his head raising, both of his blue eyes staring out. Before him stood a huge creature, its large head bent down, drinking from the water just as he had been. A spiralling horn was placed in the middle of its brow. The unicorn; for it could be nothing else, and Blaisen had heard counts of them from both his parents, was a huge stallion, his body white, flecked with bits of gray. Both his mane and tail reflected the gray in them, strands obscuring what Blaisen assumed was once pristine white. The unicorn stopped briefly, lifting its head and staring at the young keiyou.
Blaisen didn't dare move, only stared, his mouth hanging open slightly. Never before had he seen something so large and majestic, and he couldn't help but lower himself into a gracious bow. The stallion seemed to laugh at it, nickering towards the young keiyou. He leaned forward gently touching the tip of his horn to Blaisen's nose. The young wolf did nothing, just stared. Pulling away, the unicorn snorted lightly, turned and cantered off through the prairie, leaving the young male flabbergasted.
It was all he could do to plop onto his butt, and stare off into the distance the unicorn had gone.

The sky was clear and the sun was warmer than usual. Raz was ever more the energetic as she spun and looped in the air. She let her legs dangle and gallop across the infinity blades of grass, just barely an inch or two off the ground when she was nearly out of the atmosphere seconds earlier. Her breathing burned her lungs and made her thoughts clouded but with the sheer excitement of flight. She took another large breath as a sigh let her maw.
Her body felt weightless as she soared into the skies again, enjoying the thrill of seeing all the little and insignificant flightless creatures below her. Then she saw him.
Beautifully speckled wings with a dark colored wolf's head. She snickered to herself as a toothy grin placed itself onto her features. "What have we here? A peice of scrap meat on the horizon? Let's show him how to have fuuuuuuuuuun!" with that, the blue colored keiyou dove down at an angle, straight towards the other wolf. Hoping to barrel into him.
He won't know what hit him. she laughed as she neared the ground below her, folding her wings back to pick up speed, her tail lashing back and forth in anticipation. She wasn't the best at landing, but you couldn't be the best at everything. What kind of fool for a keiyou would be seen on the ground?

Why had the unicorn touched him? Why didn't it turn tail and run? He knew that he was still a young wolf, but he could have at least injured the older stallion. Yet he didn't seem afraid at all. He was perplexed as he sat down on his rump, his paws in the water. So it was only natural Blaisen was lost in his own thoughts, unable to even react before something bowled directly into him.
Unluckily for them both, the impact sent them both into the small brook, thoroughly soaking the young keiyou. He snarled, a string of curses coming from his mouth. "The HELL?!" The weight of the other keiyou was on him and he tried to wiggle out from beneath it, turning his head, jaws open. It was easy to determine the other keiyou was a female, and a very strangely coloured one at that. He moved to bite her hard, but not viciously, to get her off. He was absolutely drenched with water, the current babbling around their entangled bodies.
"Get OFF me!" he growled, trying to push her off of him so he could get out. He thanked the Great Spirit his wings were curled up against his side, or they could have been seriously injured when she crashed into him. "Are you just an idiot, or can you not fly?!" he hurled at her, the encounter almost reminding him of one of his own. He almost scared his father to death, dive bombing in front of him and a loner. Either way he was mad and wet.

"WHOO!Man, I love that feeling!" Raz shook her fur as she let the water ripple under her fur and onto the other keiyou. She growled and snapped back, jumping from him and inspecting her wing he had bitten. "Hey! You should be thanking me for bringing something interesting into your life.. and hells yeah I can fly. Probably better than you tenderfoot.." she snickered as she swatted him with her slender tail, lashing like a whip.
"Don't tell me you live in this dump? You could use a bit of a wake up call..." she laughed as she turned away from him and began to kick water at him.
She quickly evaded his next assault on her as she bristled her fur, a toothy smug grin plastered on her features."Psh, you act pretty immature for someone so close to my age..." shaking her body once more, her wings held out, she made one huge gust as she jumped off the ground and into the air, circling him in a teasing manner.
"I think you should show me what you got if you really have the nerve to dis me.. whatchu say tenderfoot?" she growled playfully as she nipped at his tail from behind before circling him once more.

He had been having a nice fly, and then was by the river, and had an absolutely amazing experience. Now it was being marred by some idiotic keiyou who thought she was queen of the prairie. He was able to show his distemper by a bite on her wing, to which she snapped back at him, catching his cheek. The two pulled back from one another as she began to inspect herself, his anger boiling.
"I was perfectly happy without your interference. And judging someone merely on appearance makes you look all more the ass," he growled in return to her words. Tenderfoot? Just because he was better on land than most other keiyou didn't give her any right to insult him. He was the son of an alpha. That basically made him a prince. He snorted, snapping towards her tail, but not trying to actually bite it.
"Of course I don't. I'm prince to the Children. Reynard is my father." He moved away from the river, avoiding her splashes, but glaring at her with angry blue eyes. How dare she be so juvenile. And she had the gaul to call him immature? "I'm not the one falling from the sky annoying every wolf they see with stupid acts now, am I?" She then proceeded to jump up and fly around him. Her actions made him roll his eyes, turning his head away from her. He could only hear her voice then, which was still equally as annoying.
"How about you leave me alone and go back to whatever hell hole you come from," he snarled, flicking his tail at her and trying to hit her in the face. As she circled, he turned, facing the other direction. He was engineering escape plans in his mind as he did so. Flying was not an option. He could run, but that would make him appear weak. But damnit, he wanted her to leave him alone.

"Oooe, ouch. That really hurts me when you say that.. it really does.." Raz made a puppy face as she landed in front of him, her wings still stretched outward, her bottom lip pouting. Then she beat her feathered appendages, gusts of wind directed at the male keiyou.
"Prince of children? Reynard? Never heard of them. Sounds silly if you ask me... packs are for weaklings that depend on others to survive. I don't need them. And I never will. I guess you are just your father's shadow if you won't even bother with your own name before saying you are his kin." Raz announced, scrutinizing him, and taking in his crystal blue eyes. She was tempted to kick him in the face with how much beauty he possessed for such a snob. He had no idea what being on your own meant. That names meant nothing to another loner or pack.
Out here he was merely a mutt with a fancy title that no one else knew of.
"You wish, I would if I could live freely back where they held me captive. I had to leave my family behind to survive. They are all probably dead now..." she gazed at her own paws, picking at the dirt between them with the other foot. Her maw holding somewhat placid and yet content features.
"But you wouldn't know about that kind of life, would you? Oh tenderfoot and prince of Reynard? You have probably had your whole life handed down to you on a silver platter... why don't you run back to mommy and daddy so they can protect you from the outside world?" The female snickered, pacing a bit away from him, not wanting to be lashed out at. Still close enough to make sure her words were heard and that he couldn't shake her.

What had he done to anger the Great Spirit? All Blaisen wanted was to go on an adventure, do something new, and then go home. Why was it being interupted by such a rude, hostile and annoying keiyou? He supposed it had to be fate. Loca left, so someone had to take her place and antagonize him. He frowned, sighed and glared up at her as she landed in front of him. The glare didn't last for long as wind streamed to his face. He closed his eyes and moved his body, intent on just ignoring her now. Of course, that didn't last for too long.
"As a pack you become stronger. Clearly you don't understand this concept, being a loner and not caring for anyone but yourself. And my own name is of no consequence to you." He turned towards her and snorted, scowling at her. How could she criticize a pack when she was but a mere loner? The Children were a safe haven for everyone, and they had to work together to achieve it. And one day he might even rule it. His tail flicked in annoyance, ignoring her own sob story. Why should he care about her family? She was being just as bad holding HIM captive here.
She spoke again, her words hitting a nerve, but bounced away before he could recoil at all. He merely glared at her, not saying anything. What was it Satinka told him? Ignore them. If he played into her games, he would prolong them. So he snorted, glared at her, and sat his butt firmly down on the ground. His wings curled tight to his back and he stared in the opposite direction, pretending she wasn't even there.

"Oh, I understand it alright..." she glared back at the other keiyou as he averted his gaze from her. This angered her as she quickly dashed to his other side, her face nearly touching his. " Pack's are great, if you like giving up your freedom. So tell me.. future ruler tenderfoot... what will you do when you become the alpha of this so called 'children'? surely you can kiss this ground at your feet goodbye. Life gets old quick when your wings are stuck to one place at a time..." she mused, growled lowly.
Her tail lashed back and forth as she furrowed her brow at him, snorting back. "If you want to be so great, you should work to persuade loners to join you, not shove them away. Someone as snobbish as you would never lead a pack anywhere but into the ground..." Raz sighed, stretching her limbs now as her toes and spine cracked and her body relaxed.
"Face it tenderfoot... you will need to better then that in the future to even earn respect from your pack mates.. let alone strangers in foreign territories... " her cold eyes bore into his own as she took one jump and spiraled into the sky, shooting up into the clouds.
"See ya later, loser!" the female laughed as the speckled tail disappeared into the mists in the sky.
