It was merely a light drizzle, honestly nothing more than that, but she still enjoyed the coolness. It felt good on her pelt, which was almost sizzling as each droplet smack against the vibrant crimson furs. She was definitely hot, on fire even, having done her fair share of patrolling as well as training with her power today. There was little there to say she was exhausted, specifically after taking care of Nocht. She had expended the energy had for the day and was far from willing to stand up any further just to even walk back to her warm, cozy den. No doubt, her soft nest was awaiting there for her to settle down within and snuggling up to nap the rest of the day away.
Generally, she was far more active at night, hunting and patrolling in those times more so than she did during the day. When she patrolled during the day, she did so in the early morning when it was still fairly dark and cool, but then she had bored herself this morning so easily, so she had gone off to train and had lost track of the time. That had been particularly easy to do, considering the sky was overthrown by clouds and the sun was outside her range of sharp blue vision. So, she had ended up here, sitting in the rain beside the river.
Ah, the river, how she loathed it so. She hated it with such a passion, the many reasons for such locked away within the confines of her strong mind. There was one focal point for the hatred of the water: she couldn't swim. When she had lived with her old pack years ago, she had never been taught to swim, but instead had developed a way to leap from tree branch to tree branch, despite the distance. Unless, of course, if the distance was completely unreasonable, then she knew better than to jump and most likely injure, if not kill, herself. That was her secret weapon, truthfully. It was something she had taught herself a long time ago, something she had perfected when no one else could. It made her strong, especially since she was so small. She was a Guardian and it made her proud, granted she had been after First Guardian position for some time. Perhaps it would come to her, she just needed to wait and do her job. That was protecting the pack, something she never failed at.
Moonrose sighed, curling in the roots of the tree further after pulling away from the rain. Instead, she rested her tired head upon her slender paws, gazing out at the river with distaste, but too entranced with the sound of the rain to pay much attention to anything else. She was alert, though, and nothing would really be able to sneak up on her, unless it was a scent she trusted completely. There was nothing right now. She closed her sapphire eyes and her ears twitched, listening to the repetitive drip drip drop of the rain. She smiled, her maw turning to a pretty grin upon her heavily scarred face, and she laid there, merely enjoying nature at it's calmest and fullest. It wasn't too hot, not too cold, not much noise, not much silence. There was nothing wrong with the situation, and only one thing could make it more perfect for her, a particular male she loved and wished the company of. Who knew what he was up to though? She chuckled some, falling silent and listening.

He had caught the jackalope early, and with intentions of bringing it back to Moonrose. She had been doing most of the work as of late, since he had been... well, out of commission. He wanted to give back to her and the only way he knew how to do so was to bring her breakfast.
Creeping out early meant he woke before she did, and finding the jackalope was easy. But by the time he returned, she seemed to be gone herself. He was immediately alarmed, but realised she had probably just gone out looking for her. The rain was falling on him now, obscuring the blood as he set back out, following the scant scent of the other lyxxus. The rain was washing it away and making it quite hard for him to follow. He almost didn't believe where the scent led him, towards the river. He knew Moonrose hated the river; that was how they initially had met. He frowned, moving towards it, hearing the current amidst the raindrops.
The blur of the rain made it hard for the male to find her, but soon he saw her red body curled up near a tree. He set the jackalope down on the ground, intent on wandering over towards her. It was sheltered by some leaves by the rain, and he wasn't really hungry anyways. He barked a little bit, his blue eyes looking at her. Was she awake? She laughed a bit and Nocht knew she was, moving towards her with a bit more speed.
"You left the cave." He didn't say anything else, but stared at her as he came closer. Like always, his face conveyed little emotion, but the workings of a smile crept onto his maw. "I caught you a jackalope," he murmured, pointing towards it. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to leave it over where it was. He frowned, looking back towards the female. As he did so the jackalope rose from the ground, twitching in the air for a second and moving slowly towards the two. Nocht, with no idea this was happening, blinked for a moment, feeling all the energy zapping out of his body. "Huh.." his momentary lapse of thought caused the rabbit to hit the ground with a thump, leaving the lyxxus very confused and tired.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h448/soarly/Wonderwhy/Tables/Moonie2.png] All was peaceful and silent for the most part. The rain was the soothing part of her day, honestly, and she would be glad if she weren't bothered. Rain always seemed to have the effect of calm on anyone she knew, including herself. However, her mind often flashed back to that day nearly three years ago when her pack had been slaughtered. It had been raining then, and she remembered it that way because she remembered everything about that horrifying evening. Even though three years had passed...every single moment of it was as clear as the shallowest parts of the river in her mind. She cleared these thoughts from her head. They only ever brought her pain, so she often wondered why she bothered to think about them. She had a better pack now, one she'd been with for two years. It was home.
Though her eyes were closed, taking in the gentle pitter patter of the rain, she could smell Nocht as he approached her. She smelled fresh blood as well, though not his, and opened her eyes to find he had left a dead rabbit a few feet behind him. It was closer to the river and because of that, she wasn't necessarily so keen to fetch it herself. She left the cave? He was often one she found difficult and relieving to speak with. His short answers weren't exactly conversation useful, but she sometimes found he was good for listening rather than talking to. It was one of the things she loved about him, among others of course. "Yes, I was looking for you and got sidetracked by the rain. It's a lovely and murderous thing." Truly, it was. Perhaps it was just associated with her memories, but it didn't really matter.
Her sapphire gaze flickered towards the dead creature, and she smiled at him thankfully. "Thank you, Nocht. I've yet to eat today." Moonrose was just as confused as he was, considering she wasn't even using her power to make the jackalope move. The normal amount of energy that trickled from her body, which was miniscule when moving something so small, was not there. She couldn't feel it sap from her body, then she watched as Nocht collapsed beside her. She moved only to lay beside him in comfort. She asked him softly, "Are you a telekinetic as well?" It was all she could ask. It was her power and she hadn't even used it. She had control over it and it wouldn't do anything without her permission first. She could only assume one of two things, maybe three, but had to make sure.
