It was warm. The sun was shining, beaming out in its full radiance down onto the Slipping Meadow. The rays shone against her orange pelt, warming it from the tips of each hair to the very marrow of her bones. It was difficult to get a hold of a warmth like this, especially with fall on it's way. It was only remotely cool in this area at least, but once winter came around, all bets were off. Sharing dens would be necessary, curling up next to one of the other wolves of the pack was needed if she were to keep warm. It would be hard for her, having her body pressed up against some other wolf's just to make sure she wouldn't freeze to death with the upcoming weather. It would be the first time she would do such a thing with strangers, with other wolves other than her sister and her mother, and the suddenly chilly wind reminded her of that.
Aurora was gone. Alla was gone. Altan was gone. Nocht was off doing something else, and Great Spirit only knew what. Her father was busy being pack leader. Her chest ached. Even though she was aware of the fact that the other two litters were old enough to practically be on their own right now, she still felt a resentment towards them, stealing away her father's time. She loved her father, she really did, but she felt unloved and unwanted. She often wondered if this was what it was like to be a loner with no true family or anyone really to keep her company. Now, that wasn't the case and she knew it, she just didn't want to admit it. In some sense, she would rather feel miserable like she had no friends or family or pack that wanted her rather than admit that they were there for her, but she was too afraid or stubborn to do anything about it.
Naomi wished she could like Reynard's other two litters, but how could she? They often seemed to have been his main focus. Whether that was fault of his or of her mother's, she didn't really know. All she knew was that there was Aurora, Alla, and Nocht. Altan wasn't really around, but...he was still her half brother and she loved him. Sighing, the Keiyou and Lyxxus hybrid stretched her wings out to allow the wind to catch at the white and orange feathers slightly, ruffling them a bit as she felt those horrible tears begin to slide through her cheek fur. She refused to sniffle, refused to open her eyes and look around, refused to take a glance at all at the wings that were attached to her ankles. Those were the worst things to have, because they reminded her of something very important, something that made her feel unloved:
Reynard hated hybrids.
She wasn't sure how she came into existence between the two of them, Reynard and Aurora, but she assumed it was an accident. A mistake. Something that wasn't meant to happen. She lowered her head a bit, frowning to herself, thinking of her half siblings. They were the only siblings that she had left, so perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to make friends with them, as much as she disliked the idea. Naomi grunted to herself, "What do I have to do to make amends...?"

He wanted so badly to tell his parents about her, but he knew they wouldn't be too happy about him leaving. So he spoke to no one about it. Even still he wanted to tear apart something. So he was back in the valley, itching for something to do. Everything had been so quiet lately, so there was little for him TO do. Monotonous days went by of hunting, patrolling, small flying lessons. At least the excursion to the prairies gave him a bit more on his mind.
Even still he loved his home. His parents were wonderful and though his siblings left a bit to be, well, asked for, there wasn't much he wanted to change. Loca was gone, thank goodness, and Halcyon seemed absent himself. Only his two younger siblings were around. Blaisen Evrain seemed to often forget his hybrid siblings, and even his lyxxus siblings. It seemed so strange that they had siblings that weren't even directly related. But on this day he couldn't help but pick up a scent, one he hadn't smelled in a while. What... was her name? He knew Reynard would be bopping him on the head right now if he was here. How could he forget his sibling's name? She was his half sister, and though they spent little time together, she was still family. Alla was one of the sisters, but this wasn't here. Aurora and her other daughter hadn't been seen in a while. But neither had this sister... he frowned wracking his memory.
Naomi! It took a while before it hit him though, and he began to weave his way through the forest towards her. At least she would give him something to do. It wasn't long before he could see the hybrid, with her tawny fur before him. His huge blue eyes stared at her, but he smiled a little bit.
"Hey Naomi," he said softly.

The wind felt nice upon her fur, ruffling it back and forth in a soothing way. The breeze was chilly, though, and it was almost unpleasant at first. However, it numbed her soon enough and she came to enjoy the feeling. She had flown through cold drafts in the air and had done so with ease, though it had not exactly been the most likeable thing in the world at first. The Slipping Meadow was a lovely place. The golden grasses and flowers, which were around in spring and summer, were like beacons of beauty from the sky, no matter how high up you were. It was a wondrous thing and it was one of the many things that she loved about this land, but often wondered what it would appear as with this year's snow. It had been a blanket of white last year, but that year Aurora had been with her and Alla. Now they were both gone. Would it affect the way she saw things?
When the voice reached her, she almost stumbled from where she had perched herself. It wouldn't have been a long drop, considering it was just a small rise in the Slipping Meadow, but it would hurt if she landed on something the wrong way. She was fragile as it was, considering the species she was crossed with, but she was particularly worried about her wings. She loved her wings, the ones on her back and the ones on her ankles. They all helped her with the greatest thing in the world that she knew of. They helped her to fly, though the small ones on her ankles boosted her speed considerably in the air. Nothing had been able to escape her grasp in the sky so far, though she hadn't tested it against other Keiyou or even a flying Myou. She had from a distance, though it didn't really count.
It was Blaisen, one of Reynard's other pups, one of the wolves she had a grudge match against --though for no real reason-- for a long time. She had always been jealous of those pups and how they were capable of stealing away Reynard's attention when she wanted it the most. Then again, even as she thought about it, Aurora had made sure Reynard was not to see Naomi or her sister, Alla. She wondered if that had to do with it. If that was the case, then she felt bad, because she had hatred in her heart for no good reason. "Hello, Blaisen..." She wasn't sure what else to say. She hadn't ever been particularly nice to them nor had she ever bothered to spend any time with them. She'd never gotten the chance to know them for them and not for what she was making them out to be.
"What are you doing here? What do you want?"
