The steamy jungle was never lacking in moisture or noise it seemed. Birds were screaming and calling at one another, insects buzzing too and fro. In the distance there was a growl or roar of some sort. The large leaves of the understory rustled, sending crystals of water cascading to the moist ground.
A slender shaft of off-white prodded from the dark leaves, soon followed by a dark nose and a thinly haired muzzle. Beady black eyes gleamed as a small, scrawny....thing emerged from the underbrush. In his jaws the myou carried a cleaned femur of unknown origin. It was chewed and broken, obviously the marrow had been sucked out.
Flynn, the mafia's "Cleaner" was always willing to do his job. It guaranteed him survival each day and kept the suspicions low if there ever were any to begin with. His wiry gray fur moved stiffly with his body. His second soul was that of a shrew, so his overall appearance was mostly rodent like. He paused on a slightly worn trail, sniffing the air to make sure the coast was clear. This was near the border of the pack land, so he was always wary.
He set the femur down in the path and began digging a narrow ditch with his dexterous forepaws. His ears were constantly twitching and swiveling and his nose kept flaring. He narrowed his eyes at the ditch, trying to see if it was deep and long enough for the bone.
The shrew-wolf grunted, in mild satisfaction as he plopped the bone there and began to bury it. He made sure to get his scent around the area as he flattened the ground back to normal. It would be another marker to find the little trails that lead deeper into the pack lands.

"Archie I swear to the Great Spirit, If you dont get your nasty little face out of mine, I'm going to bite it off." Alastair growled to his anteater tag-along. To an outsider it sounded mean, but Archimedes knew that Alastair wasn't serious.
Archie lifted his head further and poked out his long crazy tongue. Alastair shot a dirty look at Archie with his purple-grey eyes. "Archie..." He warned, growling. Archimedes shot out his frog-like tongue and licked Alastair across his cheek. Alastair let out a roar, as Archie let out a squeal and both went thundering through the underbrush, Alastair chasing the big fumbling idiot that was Archimedes.
"Hehehahahhahahhe-AHHHHHH!" Archie laughed and screamed at the same time. His lumbering gait made the most possible noise going through the dense jungle. His eye sight was bad so he was continually tripping and running into things. Alastair was laughing so hard that he was having a hard time keeping up. Even though Archie was extremely annoying at times, he really did love the guy, they were best friends.
Although Arch had bad eyesight, he smelled the other wolf right away. He slowed his gallop just the the little gray smudge came into sight. Archie squinted his eyes, trying to make out features of the wolf that was only about ten yards away. Behind him Alastair was laughing too hard to notice the other wolf. He was gasping for breath as he caught up to Archie, the big lumbering thing blocked the view of the little wolf. "Tired out are--" Alastair stopped short as he came around Archie and into full view of the little wolf. "Oh hello there!" He said immediately sobering up. "Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to disturb you!" Alastair smiled brightly.

Flynn heard strange noises and a lumbering gait. He bristled and turned toward the noise, prepared to defend himself, even though he would be more likely to bite and run. A strange creature burst through the brush, followed by a wolf. Flynn's fur stood on end and he opened his jaws with a menacing hiss. His red-capped teeth were on display, showing that it would be a nasty experience to be bitten by those fangs.
His lip was curled in an open snarl, ears flat and body turned, oddly cat-like. His nose flared trying to calculate everything about the intruders. He growled, clearly not happy about being disturbed so suddenly. One ear flicked up as he heard the wolf speak. He stopped growling, only so that he could spit his words at the stranger, "Damn well better be sorry. You are in pack territory, I suggest you leave. Unless of course you have some business to discuss"
He gave a sneer to the fuzzy outlines of the creatures before him. He looked down to the smaller of the two, that scent was strange, "And what the hell is that?" Sure he was in the jungle, odds are those creatures were around here somewhere. He had never run into them before, so of course he had questions.

Alastair was taken aback by the viciousness of the wolf, but it was to be expected. They -did- come crashing through the underbrush like a bunch of lunatics. "Sorry, sir. I was not aware that this land belong to a pack. We have been in the area a while and never came across another wolf." He said with a tentative smile. He was trespassing...Wolves have been killed for less. Time to turn on the charm.
Alastair turned to Archimedes and grinned. "Well, sir, this is my daemon, Archimedes." Archie was looking at his curled, clawed feet, looking hurt that the stranger didn't know what he was. Alastair continued, "You say a pack lives here? We are searching for a pack, so this is very fortunate!" Aster beamed at the stranger. "You see Archie here likes this climate, and this place is teeming with insects that he just loves to eat. Are you guys in search of any members?"
Archie still stared at his paws, silently panicking. He did not like the look of that wolf, and he had a feeling that his pack mates would been anymore pleasant. 'Alas! He doesn't look friendly...maybe we should just leave...' Archie projected his thoughts into Alastair head, his voice tiny and scared.
Alastair didn't even blink, having been so used to Archie speaking into his mind, but his ear did swivel towards Archie. 'Don't you think I know that?' Alastair said back, trying to keep his tone even. He didn't like to snap at Archie, the beast meant well. 'Packs kill wolves who trespass, but if we are looking to join them, then they probably won't attack us. Just keep your trap shut.'
Archie held back a whimper.

The myou growled slightly at the request to join these two did not seem to have the qualities that the Mafia needed. "You want to join? Really? You don't look like you have the resolve." He had to be vague, they needed the word about the pack spread, but not so much that it drew suspicions and those do-gooders that would try to end the operation. His thinly furred tail twitched.
A shame that Flynn was so near sighted or he would have been suspicious of the silence and the ear twitches at nothing. He had never heard of a daemon. He assumed that it was the species of the creature before him. The shrew in the back of his mind was oddly quiet, and curious, something seemed off, as if they should be familiar but they weren't.
He snorted at the trespassers, he was not afraid anymore about them attacking him, it didn't seem like they had it in them to harm wolves. Even in self-defense. "New members? Yes we are. Though I doubt you have what it takes to join our merry band." He sneered, showing his wicked teeth once more.

Alastair was sure the wolf before him was a myou. So this myou didn't know he could force out the second one the plagues him? Not that you were a plague Aster added quickly to Archie who was listening to his thoughts. Archie, you are happy here, but try to head it. You know you can't. You were made for this place.
We really need to leave this lands, you might not have smelt it but I did. I was sure i smelled wolf blood. A lot of it. I don't think it was an accident
Alastair inwardly snorted, and made no comment. "No offense, but you have no clue of who I am. I could be the craziest motherfucker you have ever seen...or I guess heard, Huh?" Alastair was a perceptive wolf, much more so then certain wolves that happened to rule over this pack. He could see the stranger's clouded eyes, even though he still stood back.
"Listen, how about you put us on a trail run or something?" Behind him Archie moaned softly.

Flynn bared his red tipped fangs at the creatures, not enjoying the attitude of the wolf. He knew he was blind, but didn't necessarily liked it being pointed out. He bristled at the larger wolf, growling his frustration. "I don't care who you are, and you are no way the craziest I've known. "
He snorted and patted the ground, feeling to make sure it was packed well enough for his liking. There was a malicious glint in his eyes. He was usually grumpy when hungry, but right now the newcomers just put him in a fowl mood. His tattered ears backed on his head and he made to turn away from the wolf. His nose had picked up a reassuring scent on the wind, so he was more confident than usual.
He did look in the general direction to spit out his response to the command, "You are on a trail, find your own way out, if you can."

"What is that nasty thing, and what is it doing on my lands." Came Sylvester's disgusted voice, from behind some vegetation. He stopped in front of Archie, and curled his lip, completely ignoring Alastair. In only this short time, he had let his Don-ship go to his head. Now he looked down on everyone except perhaps Flynn. He turned to the little gray thing, and looked at Flynn like it was his fault that the creature was there. "What is going on here, Comrade Flynn?"
Alastair held back a growl, but the fur along his spine bristled. "Excuse me sir, that would be my second soul, Archimedes, not some mindless creature that you can walk all over." Archie ducked his head, and moved so he was behind Alastair.
Sylvester turned slowly back to Alastair, a sick smile upon his lips and evil gleam in his eye. "Oh? Can't I?" He voice was velvet, but his face was sandpaper. "I will not have anybody disrespecting me in my own lands, now take that creature of your and LEAVE." His voice went softer and softer as his sentence closed, but he bellowed the last word, spittle spraying Alastair.
It was a show of bravery that Alastair didn't move. But Archie and squealed and backed away several places.

Flynn turned toward Sylvester with a smirk, he knew he had scented him near by. Having the strong lupus near by made him confident that he was not going to be attacked. He made room for Sylvester to come in with an accusatory tone. His eyes narrowed as he was blamed for the intruders, "S'not my fault, I was just marking the trail when they came barreling through like idiots."
The shrew in the back of his mind perked up, Hey wolf, that thing is a second soul? What's it doing out of the body? The wolf part of Flynn pondered the exact same thing, and answered his counterpart, 'Sure as hell beats me, shrew....maybe we heard him wrong.' The shrew snarled a little, not trusting the strange creatures before them I knew it smelled off...I think he used to be a part of the wolf.... The wolf part shook his head mentally, 'Whatever the reason, we will not know now. Sylv is chasing him off. Good riddance I say.'
His mental conversation did not show on the outside, but there was a slight eyebrow raise as curiosity overcame the myou. How did he do it? Not that he cared enough to attempt it himself, he was in a decent arrangement with his second soul. All Flynn did was bare his fangs in the direction of the stubborn wolf, waiting for Sylvester to force him out.
