Supported by these was a wolf; a delicate-looking, oddly colored wolf. Her fur, which was multiple shades of brown and white, was short for a wolf, though soft. She moved through the brush of the forest in an unnatural way. Each paw step was taken with care. Her ears were pricked forward and her eyes scanned the foliage as if danger was everywhere.
”Ellie, must we move so slowly? I think Koda is becoming impatient.” Though she only thought the words, Ellie heard them as if they were spoken. The female Nyala, Amelia’s second soul, responded in a motherly tone. ”There could be danger, Mia. We must be careful. You know that.” Amelia disagreed, of course. Her wolf instincts said there was nothing nearby, and even if there was, Koda would take care of her. She was naïve and used to being protected. There was no reason for her to fear, though both Eliana and Koda would disagree.
Amelia sighed audibly, much to the frustration of Eliana, who was trying to proceed as quietly as possible. Ellie was in control of bodily functions at the moment; she was graced with the instincts that allowed her to safely move through dense forests, like this one. She only managed to make it two or three more steps before Amelia pushed her mind forward, gently nudging Ellie out of the way. ”C’mon. We’ll be fine. There’s no one here.” As if to prove her point, she shared with Ellie everything that her senses picked up; the normal sounds of birds and breezes in the trees and no scent of anything dangerous. Ellie had allowed Amelia to take over the body again; she wasn’t about to argue with the mind of a wolf.
Now in control of her own body, Amelia picked up the pace, trotting further ahead of Koda. There was more light beyond the trees now, and Amelia knew that the forest was coming to an end. She broke through the bushes and out into the open. A plain stretched out in front of her, and Amelia felt the sudden urge to run. Though Ellie was already cautioning her against it, she let her legs pick up the pace, leaping and bounding through the grasses. Her gait and leaps were much like those of a gazelle; it reflected the influence that Eliie’s soul had on her. She felt free, and nothing was going to stop her now.
Another wolf followed the first. She was more muscular, and taller as well. Her fur was lighter in color, but similar in pattern. She moved just as quietly, and was just as alert as the more delicate wolf in front of her. However, this wolf controlled her own body, despite the uproar that her second soul, a Greater Kudu named Rook, was making inside of her head. ”This is ridiculous!” he bellowed, pressing his mind against Dakoda’s. ”They are being too careful. Move faster!” Dakoda did not respond to him, though she rolled her eyes. As much as she wanted to listen to Rook, she was letting Mia and Ellie lead. Better safe than sorry, she figured. And Ellie would spot and avoid danger long before any of the others were.
Suddenly, Mia picked up the pace. Dakoda could tell that the younger wolf had taken control of her body again. Ellie would never move this fast through any place that might hold danger. Dakoda also began to move faster, catching up until she was moving side-by-side with Mia. The trees were thinning ahead of them and Dakoda was aware that there was a vast open expanse before them. She instantly became much more alert, realizing that being out in the open could be just as dangerous as a forest, if not more dangerous. Dragons and Griffins hunted in open spaces like these, and Dakoda did not think she could fight one of those alone.
Mia left the trees and began to race across the plains. Dakoda was instantly running right behind her, though she could not keep pace with the smaller wolf. Mia was built for speed, while Dakoda had more mass and was built for both speed and fighting. Dakoda struggled to keep up with Mia, and worry was etched onto her face. She called out, desperately, to try and slow Mia down, or even stop her. ”Mia, enough! It’s dangerous!”

The young lyxxus had nestled himself down into the grasses, unaware of his surroundings for quite some time. Roxeyn had no idea what had become of Obi or his new friend, and quite frankly, he was too tired to look for them at the moment. This very spot seemed like a pleasant napping place, and his yellowed fur blended in nicely with the terrain around him. However, he had just barely nodded off when voices caught his attention. He groggily opened one purple eye, just enough to notice the shadows not too far off.
Roxeyn hunkered down in fear; what was going on? Why had he allowed himself to fall asleep out here in the open? I'm stupid, that's why. What kind of creature lets himself sleep when there could be others around? he mentally berated himself, but right now he was frozen with fear. He had never wanted to interact with others, but if they discovered him here, he could do nothing but be confronted, and perhaps killed. After all, he had never had the opportunity to speak with Fyodor about joining the pack on these lands. He was just as much a trespasser as the next person.
Next on my list: if I survive, go talk to Fyodor. Roxeyn flattened himself as close to the ground as possible, unable to figure out whether he would go unnoticed or if his stupidity had given him away. He was still a little fuzzy-headed from his snooze, and it would be a few minutes until he could gather his senses enough to realize that bolting may very well be the best option. But alas, common sense had escaped Roxeyn, and all he could do was sit as still as possible and quiver with the fear that came with discovery.
((OOC: Sorry it isn't very good, I haven't played him in a while.))
