○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ The howling, cold wind whipped around the highest mountain peak. It picked up the thin snow and blew it around before settling the snow back on the dry ground. Who would be in a place like this? But there is someone who dares to venture to this harsh place-Nocturne. The Northern Lands were her one and only home. The Sennyo's ebony coat whipped around in the wind, and so did her silver antennas and wings did flicker in the winds. Her deep blue eyes half-closed to block off the dust and snow that was carried by the winds. Nocturne walked on the peak slowly, carefully, to decrease the risk of slipping and falling to the great depths. A small, tan and brown female jackalope hopped around nearby behind a rock, slightly covered by snow. Nocturne's eyes noticed the movement behind the rock. Silent and slowly, she walked up behind the rock to get ready to pounce. the jackalope's antlers were small, so this may be an easy catch. Nocturne tracked the jackalope carefully as it hopped about the ground. Then, with a deep breath behind it, she pounced, landing on the jackalope's back. It was a great struggle, but after lots of grabbing and wiggling, the jackalope was finally dead. Nocturne smiled proudly, even though she got a few scrapes on her neck because of the antlers. She grabbed the jacklope in her mouth and began to find a place to eat it.

Sapphire growled softly. Her blue lupus fur was cold. The wind was blasting snow into her eyes and ears, stinging them relentlessly. The frigid air made her paws and tail tip sting with cold. She hated the winds of the mountain, and the icy cold, and how her body seemed to burn when she returned to her temporary cave further down the mountain. How much she hated this place was unmeasurable, but her mind told her she had to see the world around her and escape the grasp of a boring, sludge-paced life. She snarled at the air arpound her as the wind icked up, whippping more microspcopic crystals into her eyes and pelting her ears with already-fallen hail pieces. She couldn't see through the wind and wet, cold snow. Her fur was getting soggy from the snow freezing on it and then melting from what little body heat she could muster.
She buried herself in the drifts, curling up to conserve heat as best she could. Her thick coat didn't do much more than a cael out of water could. She hated the world, herself mostly, for thinking she could come here and make it lout alive. No prey, constant cold, hungry dragons. This place begged to kill wolves that dared to come here, and she had been stupid enough to come here. She was going to starve, freeze, be hurt die just becaus she had wanted to explore. How awful this death was goinjg to be. At leats she had energy, bu thse was alone, hungry, frozen. No. She was not alone, what was that? A wolf? Now she stood again. She could smell wolf, and most importantly, food. She let put a howl from her maw, a ringing, vibrant tone, allowing all to understand that her demise was no longer existant. Great, I will eat tonight, and I will survive!

The jet black Sennyo was comfortably settling down on a round dent on the ground to eat the bloody jackalope, until her sharp hearing picked up a vibrant howl somewhere within the cold and dry land. It wasn't a weak one. It was from a wolf that got his or hers hopes up. Well, I'm sure ain't going to share this jackalope to a stranger. Wrapping her thin, furry tail around her side to conserve heat. Smelling the air, her silver antennas pricked up at the scent of a she-wolf, a lupus? Yes it was. It wasn't everyday she met someone in her cold, icy home of the North. A rather daring wolf that was to enter this icy place, wasn't it? Taking the last bite of jackalope meat, she left the antlers for whoever wanted them. Standing up on the blood-stained snow, she stared down from the high mountain peak and noticed something dark sapphire blue in the snow. A Lupus wolf, to be exact.

As the howl faded, Sapphire spotted her enemy. And she could see the midnight black fur, the long, thin legs. The defining wings. A sennyo. Sapphire didn't mind fighting. She could sense something that had changed in the sennyo, probably because she had made her angry by threatening to steal prey. She could smell blood, and immediately knew it was a lost cause for food. The prey was in that stomach below the thick coat. There was still a place to rest just behind that wolf. She growled low in her throat, slowly moving closer to the sennyo until a ten foot gap separated them.
"Why, hello. You seem happy, or shall I say,not to be happy?" Sapphire allowed the growling to rise a bit. If the prey was gone, fine. She would still enjoy seeing this wolf suffer. She was cranky, and this place was full of nothing, not even grass existed. She had already watched a wolf slip and nearly break a leg, falling down the snow-covered mountain and smashing his body down on a rock. She moved closer still, now rising her voice to a snarl. "Leave, and I'll spare you. I'm in a bad mood, and I don't intend to fight for a resting place." She snapped her jaws once, to show she meant business.

○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ Nocturne calmly looked at her as if she didn't care about giving this strange wolf her resting place. Her eyes carefully took in every detail of this she-wolf. "Well well..trying to be tough huh. She said quietly to her own self. "I expected this. Go ahead and take that resting spot." She said calmly, walking down the peak to find another place. ooc: Writer's block. ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○
