Fyodor was worried. He hadn’t seen Keely since she had left to go hunting. And, while she was a small wolf, she usually was able to hunt quickly and efficiently enough to be back by now. Perhaps she had run into a snag. And, perhaps she was waiting for him to go and help her with the hunt. Keely was like that. She liked to get him involved with stuff. She wanted to be his mate and she wanted him to be the father of their pups and she wanted him to be everything that he thought he could never be.
He gave a whine as he stood up, always with that little leg of his, just to make sure it wouldn’t end up as one of those dead-weight limbs he sometimes saw another wolf had. He let the small limb give a kick before tucking it behind a fluffy tail and searching for Keely. He didn’t have to search long before he heard the sound of a bit of a scuffle and quickly, he investigated.
Fyodor saw Keely underneath another wolf. He wasn’t too keen about the difference between play and fight, since it had been a long time since he had himself a romp. Most wolves either treated him like glass or like a freak. And you don’t play with either. So, his first reaction was a sharp barking noise. And he gave a wild growl, “G-g-g-get offa her!” And he attempted to pounce the wolf, but instead, with the fact that he was practically missing a hindlimb, he did an odd swerving motion.
But he still managed to make contact with the other wolf. Fyodor looked angry, with blazing eyes.

Obi was starting to get off when he heard a new wolf. He turned to see a very angry male wolf. Jumping off of Keely, He turned to face this new wolf. The wolf looked like it had one leg missing but Obi new not to trust apperances. He growled at this new comer. "Who are you to tell me what to do!" He barked, putting himself between Keely and this wolf. He tried to use his tails to hide Keely.

Keely yelped a little in surprise as her larger brother pinned her to the ground. She giggled, muffled as it were, into his chest as she kicked at his belly playfully. She was going to say how she would be more alert when suddenly she herd a strange noise.
It was familiar, yet unfamiliar. Suddenly her brother was wrenched off of her and she yipped a little in shock. She rolled to her belly and peered around with flattened ears. Did a dragon get her brother? She looked around worried, then saw the source of the noise.
"Fyodor!" She was surprised, happy and confused all at the same time Why was he growling, did something happen? She followed his gaze to Obi, he was mad at Obi? Oh no!
"Fyodor, it's ok! That's Obi!" She tried to explain, but she was still a little bewildered. She did not think to explain who Obi was past his name.

Fyodor was growling still and started to hobble a clumsy and angry circle around the wolf that he did not know. All he knew was that this wolf was pinning his mate down and that was all he needed. Fyodor didn’t even entertain the idea that perhaps this was a play fight. But then, Keely’s bright voice cut through the haze of ire. His growl was slightly softer, but still, he was determined to protect Keely. The Lead Consul lifted his lip, but soon rested his expression to a more neutral, but still wary expression.
Not wanting to seem like an idiot, he kept his mouth shut for the moment despite the thousands of things he wanted to scream. A stutter would ruin the stony expression that he hoped to leave upon the wolf. He had to think these words over, play them in his mind so that he could mentally practice them before setting them loose into the air. “Who is th-th-,” He paused a bit to catch himself, reset himself and again started, “Who is this, Keely? Why was he attacking you?” And his blue eyes stabbed stark and sharp into the other wolf.
And for the other wolf, “Who am-am… Who am I?” And Fyodor jut his chest out in mock pride. He really didn’t think so highly of himself but he knew that in order to be brave and powerful, one must seem brave and powerful. “I’m the Consul of the R-R-R-Republic.” He still had his stutter, but it was less noticeable than the irked tone in his words.

Obi growled a little more. Who was this wolf calling himself the Consul of the Republic. He growled then remembered what Keely had said right before he had gotten off her. At the time he had just disreguarded it but she had said something about Fyodor. "I am Obi," Obi snarls, "I want your name wolf, not some title." He was still angered by the demanding tone of this strang wolf.

Keely had a scared look on her face as her brother shielded her from her mate. She backed up and ran around her brother to intercept the angry glowering. The little wolf pushed herself between the males, acting as a line that neither of them was allowed to cross.
She shouted, "BE NICE!" Then she looked back and forth between them. She gave a soft whimper, she didn't like animosity, she wanted them to be friends, not mean. Her bright gaze went to her mate first, "Fyodor.....Obi's my brother. He wasn't attacking, we were playing." She felt a little like she had been scolded, so there was a pout in her voice.
She looked now to her brother, "Obi, don't be mean to Fyodor. We were looking for him, remember?" She whined softly, her ears flat on her head. It was rare that she was sad or unhappy, but this sudden ordeal bewildered and startled her.

Fyodor couldn’t hide his disgust with the hard-headed wolf. He had an extremely expressive face mostly due to the fact that he could not speak his mind, so he wore it on his face and was rather easy to read. Fyodor wanted so badly to come off with the smart-aleck reply of “if you wanted to know my name, you should have asked” because it was certain that this Lyxxus didn’t even ask for it. Slightly peeved, Fyodor just looked at his mate, his fellow Consul and cast his large blue-green eyes upon her.
The look was one of slight reluctance. He knew he had to leave because everything about the newcomer was something that was brash and it came across in the wrong light to Fyodor. This was a poor first impression—even his was poor, he knew. But he couldn’t look at this wolf, this Obi, without a grain of dread. His eyes told the story. They always told more than he wanted to say—if he could say anything without his stammering. He gave her a quick and affectionate lick on her cheek before turning away.
Do what you like. That was what he wanted to say. I’m not fit to choose this time. And he wandered away. He knew he couldn’t make a good judgment this time. He knew that he had to step back, wait, and let himself cool off. Fyodor limped away, tail still tight against his small leg, and heart still raging.
Keely was a leader of the pack too.

That was Fyodor? Obi was startled seeing his sister so unhappy. Fyodor looked so, so...upset? He watched Fyodor tuurn and start walking away. He knew this wolf meant alot to his sister by the way she had talked about him. Obi relaxed his fighting postion and went against every will in his body to just let the stranger go. "Hey, wait up!" Obi called, running after the wolf. He would be nice to him, for his sister. But he would still watch Fyodor closely.

Keely leaned into the lick from Fyodor. She remained standing there as he looked at her before turning away. She was not sure what to feel. It was like she hit a wall, she was stunned that things did not go well. A slight pout formed on her small maw. She felt a rush of wind as her brother pushed past her to follow Fyodor. She was not sure if he wanted to be followed.
She sat down heavily, confused she wanted her brother in the pack. Fyodor and her were both leaders...so she could let him in. She wanted Fyodor's approval though, she wanted him to be happy. Was this what the world was like? Not always sunshine and flowers? It was a hard pill to swallow for the little lyxxus. Fyodor and Obi both wanted to protect her...so it was her fault that things did not go well. She whined softly, pulling her tails around herself. Maybe they needed to talk with out her present...

The fastest way to make friends is to make enemies. And that was why the situation was awkward. They had nothing to hate, but they had a thing that they both wanted to love. They wanted to turn that trembling lip, those watery eyes, and those pinned back ears. They wanted to change that soft whine into a merry laugh. Fyodor felt that way and with heavy heart he stepped his hobbled strides away from Keely. Only to hear that Obi wanted to, right away, fix what had gone wrong. At least—that was what Fyodor hoped for.
“Hey, wait up!”
Fyodor immediately turned his head back and stopped abruptly. He sat down, not wanting to stand up anymore because it sometimes tired his good hind-leg. The Consul felt more guilt than anything for walking away from Keely and her brother like that and wondered if Obi felt the same way. He cleared his throat, but said nothing, a bit shy to speak to strangers due to his stutter. He merely gave a quick nod to the Keely’s brother. But it became more and more evident that he really did need to speak.
“I h-h-hate… mmm-m-mmaking her dis-sa-sa…” he gave a deep breath. His feelings were raging inside, so many emotions that he couldn’t think straight, let alone make himself comprehensible. “Disappointed…” Fyodor didn’t know what else to say, so he cut to the heart of the issue. Sometimes, being such a clever wolf with a stutter made him make his point sooner. He couldn’t afford to beat around the bush.

Obi stopped when Fyodor turned. He slid a bit, do to his big paws not quiet understanding when to stop. Fyodors blueish green eyes seemed so sad. Obi waited patiently for Fyodor to finish. Obi had caused this problem and needed to fix it. Fyodor was only trying to protect his mate. "How did you disappoint her? You were protecting her. i disappointed her by not listening." Obi said, looking down, his ears laying flat. He stood up and wagged his two tails. "Come on. Let's start this over. We should at least try to be friends, right? For Keely's sake." He looked back to see keely's distant body. He hadn't realised how far he had ran.

She was at least able to smile a little as she watched the two interact. They were talking, she liked that. She remained where she was, taking a moment to take in the nature around her. She felt a little itch at the end of her first tail. She tilted her head, noticing that the end was beginning to split. She was almost three years old....
She smiled, it would be a good year. She noticed Fyodor was, indeed talking to Obi. Maybe they could be friends. She would like that. Her gaze fell down to her belly, and whispered sweetly to her still flat belly, "Everything will be alright...your family is growing." She had a knowing smile, something only a female could do at this stage in her life.

Fyodor’s bright eyes looked to Obi. He felt foolish for having such animosity against such a friendly wolf—especially the brother of his dear Keely. He gave a brief smile before speaking. “S-s-seems like we’re both w-wash-washhhh… wash-ups.” He gave a sigh and then added, “Better to st-start again.”
He looked to his mate, Keely, and walked over to her, before running. His running speed wasn’t very quick, but he was quicker than most would think with only three useable legs. His tails fanned out behind him, stretched in an effort to be more aerodynamic. Fyodor licked her face, “N-no worries, l-love.” And he smiled pleasantly before sitting down. “I’ll accept your br-brother p-personally into my pack. T-t-t-tella-uh-uh…” Fyodor needed to come up with a different way to say that because he had a block, “make sure y-you… notify him.” Fyodor was having trouble juggling words in his mouth. He couldn’t sound official no matter how he put the words. Besides, she was a Consul as well. Deservedly so! He nodded and then looked at Obi with friendly eyes.

Obi followed slowly as fyodor went back to Keely. He was happy they could start over, his tails flew out behind him, wagging violently. "Keely?" He asked when he reached him. Fyodor smiled at him and Obi couldn't help smiling back. Obi knew he had a hard time making friends right away. He was glad that Fyodor was being nice.

Keely's face split into a bubbly smile as Fyodor came back to her quickly. She giggled happily as he greeted her, and she nuzzled him affectionately in return. Her ears perked forward to listen to what he was attempting to say. Her eyes lit up and she nodded enthusiastically, "Ok, I'll tell him!"
She looked past her mate as her brother joined them, her tails wagged in greeting. She wondered if her brother was feeling the tingling in his tail yet, since they were born in the same litter. "Obi! Fyodor and I accept you into the pack. Yay!" She squealed happily.
"What should his rank be, Fyodor?" She knew that most wolves started as Plebs, but her brothers had always protected her growing up. She trusted all six of her litter-mates with her life. So maybe Obi could be a centurion? She looked at her mate, not sure what to say. She was smiling again, as if she did not have any sort of worry in the world.
