Tsuri's paws sunk into the ground as he slid through the thick jungle undergrowth. He caught the heavy scent of a unicorn and growled, half-paralyzed with fear and half-wanting to run towards it and rip it apart. As a pup he had been terrorized constantly by unicorns. But he had been weak then. A growl rumbled in his throat. But revenge would come soon...the unicorns here did not know he was the same pup they tortured. His mind flew back to his memories...freezing cold, a sharp horn poking painfully into his side, and finding the Hellion Mafia.
Something pulled Tsuri's mind away from the horrid memories. He shook himself. "That was the old me," he growled to himself. "Never again." He stalked forward once more and grumbled to himself. A low growl was still rolling around his throat. He would never again let himself get weak. He would, if he ever became a father, desert his son, or daughter, in the middle of a snowstorm, like his mouse-hearted parents had. He would never let his mate and children down, if he ever had one. His tail twitched. |

In truth, he was used to traveling, to being a loner. Even after a whole season had passed... He was getting stir-crazy confined in that dense jungle. He shook himself briefly, glad for the open air spilling onto his back. Then he stepped into the shade of a bush. It was dark shade, for the sun, though out, was covered by clouds. Suddenly, he vanished.
Then as quickly as it'd begun, it passed as he stepped away from the bush. Sighing, Sparta made his way further. He'd thought he'd mostly gotten that under control. Oh well. He wondered if he should ever tell Sylvester... meh, he'd find it out on his own if he ever needed to.
Then he picked up a scent he'd never smelled before. It smelled like the Mafia. New recruit? He asked himself before trotting around a copse of jungle trees... to run straight into a Lupus. The encounter didn't startle him in the least- no, he'd expected it.
"Hello... I assume friend, rather then foe?" He stated flatly. Oh, this Lupus had better hope it really was part of the Mafia, and not some interloper who passed through the trees. |  |

Tsuri's eyes widened when he saw a set of horns come around the bend, but his fur flattened when he saw it was only a Yagi. He sniffed. From the Hellion Mafia as well, from the smell of him.
"Hello...I assume friend rather than foe?" growled the Yagi. Tsuri blinked at him. Could he not smell his Hellion Mafia scent?
"Friend, of course," Tsuri replied. "I do not think I have seen you in the Mafia before. I am Tsuri." He dipped his head. Pride swelled in his chest. He was apart of the Mafia now...! |

Sparta shook his pelt nonchalantly before looking at "Tsuri." He briefly felt like something else should happen. "I am Sparta." He stated solidly.
Before too much else could happen, a sudden breeze kicked up and a leaf was torn from a tree, and it fell. It was heading straight for Tsuri. Sparta ignored the leaf wholly and was gazing intently at the underbrush where he swore he just heard something. |

Tsuri flicked his ear as the leaf landed on it. "So you are from the Mafia as well?" he asked, not knowing what else to say. "I merely just joined. Are you a thug like me?"
Small talk, he growled to himself. I suck at this. I'm such a moron.

A Thug, eh? He thought. Of course, a short while ago he'd only been a thug himself. But now he had something to hold over the young Lupus.
Sparta gazed at the spot where where the bushes were rustling a bit. Stupid prey... Before answering. "I'm a Soldier." He said gruffly, as if he didn't care at all.
Satisfied that the Lupus wasn't going to make any stupid moves, Sparta lunged into the bush and sank his teeth into flesh. Pulling his head free, there was a Jackalope hanging in his jaws, dead. This will make a nice meal... He thought briefly of Annushka and wondered if he should bring it to her. But no, she probably wouldn't thank him for doing this. After all, it was small prey. If I want to make her feel Special, I should take down something bigger... He would only make her feel useless if he brought her something as tiny as a Jackalope. His mind ran over the possibilities. Do bears live in the Jungle...? | |

"A soldier, hmm?" he muttered as the bigger wolf dove into the bushes. He yawned and watched as Sparta dragged out a Jackalope. "That would feed every Thug in the mafia," he said, blinking at it. His tail thrashed back and forth, slapping against the grass. "I uh...I heard that those of the Mafia eat wolves ocassionally. Is that true?" He didn't want to offend this bigger wolf, especially since his leg, wounded many years ago, still acted up on him all the time. |  |

It was almost entirely irrelevant and a waste of his valuable time. What he did do, however, was stop and stare at Tsuri as if he were insane.
"That would feed every Thug in the mafia."
"It's a Jackalope." He stated flatly, eying the other. "This wouldn't satisfy one of our Thugs, and we have many." Then he gave up the matter as Tsuri kept talking. I heard of females being talk-active. I meet one who can't talk, then this Thug shows up.
The Yagi rolled his eyes. What next? "Some of the Mafia enjoy cannibalism, others don't." He shrugged. "The only ones who I can say I know they do it are the Don, Flynn and the Ellas." This was a small test on Sparta's part. He hoped that the Lupus knew who the Don was. He sure as hell should. | |

"Yeah. The Don didn't mention that when I met him." Tsuri sighed. "Personally I would never eat another wolf." Tsuri's mind was going to blow up from this small talk!
"So, Sparta," he growled suddenly. "Wanna race?" He felt like running now. "I need to run. Run, run run."
