Feebo awoke with a pain in one of his tails. Wiggling around a little bit, seeing his sister nearby and wondering what was different, he suddenly remembered why.
Yawning, Navii, the larger of the twins, awoke as well. Grunting, she stood and looked over at her brother.
"Happy Birthday, Fee!" she said, wagging her tails. Feebo laughed as she began to strut about, flaunting her new third tail with clear glee. Feebo stretched his own new tail, curling it around his hind legs and looking at it. Had it really been a year since they were separated from their family? Were they really three years old now? He counted his tails, wiggling them all in turn. Yes, there was no doubting it. He and his sister were three years old.
Standing, he, too, yawned. Wandering outside the den, together the twin wolves made their way through the pack territory, and eventually stepped out into an area where the scent of the pack wasn't so potent. Stretching some more, the twins set about looking for something to eat.
Sniffing the air, Navii sighed, smiling.
"Smell that sweet spring air, Feefee," she said, "Makes ya feel alive, doesn't it?"
Feebo nodded, his bright purple eyes fixed on a butterfly. The years were passing, sure, but he was still the same old Feebo, entranced by everything. Chuckling, Navii trotted off, sniffing the air and looking around. She wasn't worried about her brother for once in her lifetime. Today, she just wanted to enjoy her birthday and relax.

It is a little known fact that running around everywhere without looking where one is going is the most exciting mode of transportation. Not the safest, or the most efficient, but definitely most likely to result in interesting adventures. Kiyallanne, a Lyxxus/Myou hybrid, was very aware of this, and decided to see where it would land her. After all, she had woken up early, and she didn't see anyone immediately available for talking to. Picking a random direction, she began to dash through the tall grass. It only took a few steps for her claws to catch on who-knows-what, sending her in an unexpected tumble at two of her new pack mates. She closed her eyes, expecting to be yelled at. When no loud, angry voice came in the tenth of a second that she waited, she sprang up to her feet.
"Hi! I'm Kiyallane, but call me Kiya! Who are you two?" She asked eagerly. At a closer look, her teal eyes widened in worry. Ack! Twins! Kiya had enough trouble keeping names of wolves who looked nothing alike straight. After whipping her head back and forth between them for a moment, searching for some clue to tell them apart, she gave up.
"You're twins!" She pointed out. "Is that fun? I'm not a twin, but it might still be fun." While waiting for a response, she turned to watch the butterfly that one of them had been watching. It was quite pretty, and colorful! She debated trying to catch and eat it.
