Deep inside she was jealous of flight, but that didn't mean she would break the rules of combat over it. No debilitating blows, she said.
In an instant she twisted herself in midair, turning slightly so her point of contact would shift. Instead of her jaws hitting the wing, they snapped shut harmlessly in the air above the wing. She used what momentum she had to slam her shoulder into the side of the hybrid. It was a little messy, the change in attack mid leap, but she hoped it would at least land without severely wounding either wolf.
Whatever the outcome, it would be the last attack she made for the little spar. She had seen enough, it was just a matter of if the other had or not. | |

Lyta observed carefully, having been watching the fight. She knew she wasn't qualified to judge fights, and in truth had no real reason to be there. Well, she did. But she wasn't letting on to anybody the fact that, really, she had no idea how wolves fought around here. Her fighting style was important to her. Her Guardian-type smooth throws and holds, using the opponent's own strength against them. As adrenaline-junky-ish and fight-loving as she was, this would have been important to her anyway; what made it vital was that without it, she would never have been accepted into the Guardians, never become their deputy, never had so much of her history happen to her. Plus, being a Lyxxa, she needed some sort of style that allowed her to fight without strength. The point was, now she was away from the Guardians and the Echoes and all those who used those styles, she couldn't rely any more on that rigid set of rules and moves and guidelines. Here, she was pretty sure that anything was allowed, and wolves didn't have to stick to any system or style. Especially not the Guardian style, which they'd probably never heard of. So she had decided to come along and watch. Just watch. Not interfere, or speak, or do anything. The others probably wouldn't even notice her, Lyta being sat on a ledge five metres or so above. She was just watching.
(OOC: Not intending to actually do something, just posting so that later when I make the claims I'm intending to make I have some facts to back it up.)
