The day was young, the stars slowly fading from the heavens as the skies pale yellow light slowly started to light up the world, slowly blotting out the stars. Only a few remained, in the top of the skies, which remained medium blue. It faded into a lighter blue, down into white, with a yellow glow just coming out over the meadows tall grass. Distantly the sound of water running slowly met a young wolfs ears. His pale off white body reflected the sun, turning his pelt yellow and blue. His blood red eyes surveyed the land critically. Abandoned? Perhaps, or perhaps the old pack had just not been here for a while, or moved. Maybe the land had been taken over, and the new alpha had left with the pack. Whatever had happened, the land was desolate of life. He let out a howl, asking if others were around.
Ears perked for a response, he softly grunted as he trotted towards the river. Nearing it, the loud rush of water met his ears. The slow moving water was safe to swim in, but he would not risk it. At any moment a rain could come and flood the river, sweeping away all life with it. Perhaps that was what had happened here. He let out one more howl, to see if any stray wolves were around. If he was to stick around here, he might as well have company. So his long howl echoed, a friendly pother for now.
Nose slowly dipped downards as he listened to his own echo. Then he trotted down the steep slope to the river, careful to keep two hind paws on a boulder, which was his landing in case the river started moving faster. Slowly, carefully, he dipped his nose into the water. A pink tongue came loose and lapped up the water rapidly, making a pother as he drank.

Toril perked suddenly, listening to a howl farther up the river from where he was at. Another wolf. For a moment Toril thought of running, but it was fairly close. He glanced at his crippled leg. His best chance would be to meet this... whoever.
As he stood up slowly, inwardly wincing with the pain he had lived with for his whole life, he began to clear his head. If it turned messy, he wanted to be able to use the power of earth to run, regardless of the pain.
He started to limp upriver, walking slowly, trying to make as little noise as possible. Which wouldn't help if the other wolf smelled him.

(OOC: YESS we're all accepted we can get on with it now! As soon as we're finished here, I'll do the Pack Submission Form, then we're done! Also, sorry this is short, I'm still getting a feel for this charrie!)
Magi's head snapped up as she heard a howl, always an unfamiliar cry in these parts, belonging only to loners as they did. It sounded questioning, inquiring as to whether the howler had company. Almost summoning. No, not summoning. Summoning implied... authority. Nobody had authority here, which is why Magi, always the equal-rights fighter, liked it here. No packs, no nothing, just a load of loners who either got along or left each other jolly well alone. In her opinion, that was what packs should be like; a load of equal wolves who lived together and could get along reasonably well as equals. She decided to go and find the howler. It would give her something to do. Besides, she needed a friend. She hadn't spoken to another wolf since.... well, since she'd left her old pack. She trotted towards the howl, and pretty soon came to the river, where she found a fellow Lumen drinking. That brung her up short, rare as Lumen were, and she knew the rest of her species could be rather maliciously mischievous; but the wolf didn't seem aggressive at all, so she put her tail equal with his and said, "Hello there. You howled?"

The male stood, lapping up water from the stream. His long pink tongue turned purple from the cold, fresh water as he continued to lap it up thirstily. His howl had echoed a few times, and soon a foreign smell entered his nose. But he recognized it as a wolf. A male wolf. This might mean trouble. However, upon seeing the wolf, he realized that it was crippled. There was no way he was an alpha, or he would have been over thrown. Looking around, his ears twitched for more sound. He could tell that the little noise the male was making was a submissive sign.. He obviously was not looking for trouble. "Hello there.." He called to him, tail wagging gently. He looked at him with his green coat, his coat shining yellow in the sunlight.
But before he could get out another word, another wolf was coming towards him, talking to him. He looked at her. A female. Tail stopped wagging for a moment as he stared at her, wordlessly. "Hello there. You howled?" She was saying, and for a moment he was lost in his thoughts of seeing a fellow lumen, especially a female. If he could blush, he'd be red as a beat. He looked back to the other male, then to the female. "Hello to you, too." He said to her, and then to both of them, "I am Nazirah. Nazir or Naz, whichever you prefer. May I ask your names?"

Torn glanced between the first wolf, and a second that had appeared. They were both Lumen. With luck he wouldn't be recognized as a Lupus right away, Lumen weren't known to be very.... happy about those that were Lupus. The Lumen offered a hello, wagging his tail slightly. He could tell that his crippled leg had been taken note of. Either this was a exceptionally polite Lumen, or he was young enough not to have developed the normal hatred of other species. Out of the corner of his eye, Torn saw another Lumen approaching. This was indeed a day of rare occurrences, two Lumen at the same time. Torn avoided the hello. He was not interested in conversation unless it was needed. Unfortunately as the other Lumen came within earshot, the first asked for introductions. Torn was not one for a whole lot of small talk, and so he kept it brief, readying his defenses in case one of them decided that a Lupus was bad company. "My name is Torn". Raising a single eyebrow, he decided to tactfully changed subjects, as to avoid a pother. "It is strange indeed to see two Lumen at a single place." Torn turned to the second Lumen. "And you would be?"

Magispar smiled as the two other wolves, Torn and Nazirah, introduced themselves. "I would be Magispar," she smiled. "Magi, if you prefer." She looked at the other wolf. Fellow Lumen. She hoped they could be friends; it was nice to see somebody else of the same species. She altered her pelt slightly, toning down the red to seem less... strange to the other wolf. She was unsure what species he was, but he had strange colours in his pelt, too, so maybe he was a Lumen like her and Nazir. She smiled again, "It's good to meet wolves who don't instantly try and shove themselves in authority over you. Rare, as well. Pleasure to gain your company." She paused then, wondering whether to raise what had been on her mind for a while. She'd been alone for too long, wandering around wanting to start a pack. Then her heart overruled her head. "We should claim this land or something. Make a pack where we're all equal." She gulped- what had come over her? Trying to start a pack with perfect strangers? She shook her head. But then again... it was a nice idea. Neither of them had shoved their tails up or tucked them between their legs... they'd all just assumed they were equals. And neither of them wore pack-scent, so it was possible they were loners, too, and pining after a pack.... Her insides in turmoil, she waited to see what the two would say.

Nazir looked at her and smiled, momentarily taken by her beauty as she spoke. Then he listened, truely listened, and heard her name, "Pleasure is all mine to you both." He said softly. He added, "Torn, you need not fear... I agree..." He said and continued after she had said to form a pack. A pack. A home! "We should definately make this our land. We will be the three founders... Do you agree, Torn?" He asked. What was he thinking, asking a complete stranger who was afraid of him and this other stranger! But he had to at least have a grasp on the hope of a pack, a home.. and if no one else would lead him equally, be equal, and have their pack be equal.. It was a good idea, and if no one else would do it, why not just start their own?
"If we are all in agreement, shall we make the claiming howls? That is, if you want to claim this land with us, Torn." He said, nodding towards the other male. He smiled, wagging his tail. He lifted it proudly, then lowered it to show equalness. He smiled at Magi. "You're equal to me.. but beautiful..." He whispered to her. "I'd like to be the guide with you. Only you."

Torn Listened. Out of nothing, a pack. This was an.... interesting situation. Two strangers, not to mention Lumen, just offering an equal pack, a new start.
He was wary of course. His last pack had merely moved on, leaving him, but this...
He closed his eye's for a moment, trying to think carefully. He could just walk away, and spare what might happen if they were ignorant that he was a Lupus. But something stopped him. He turned slightly, staring into the dimming sun. This was indeed a beautiful land, in all his travels he had never found an area like it so empty.
Still staring at the sun, he answered, speaking softly, and choosing his words carefully. "A pack is something that is not considered lightly, something... lasting." Torn glanced at the two others. "I am in no position to hunt, to provide. I am also in no position to keep... " Torn glanced at his crippled leg. "appearances. However I have had my share of difficult circumstances, as well as needing diplomacy. I would be happy to help start something on the strict condition that we are equal. Guides and different titles perhaps, but we are all on the same level." Torn took a deep breath. He hated having to talk, but if he was going to, he was going to make it good. But he didn't think he would quite ruin it by revealing he was a Lupus. Not yet. "I'm in." Not quite realizing what he was doing he tossed his head back harshly, and let out a howl. A howl that let out all his frustration and buried feelings. A howl that said, that he was here to stay even if he was torn in mind, body, and name.

Magispar smiled then, truly smiled for the first time that evening; it reached her eyes, it lit up her face. It hadn't been some massive mistake after all. They really could start a pack. She was watching a moment in history. They would be the founders of a pack that would last generations. "Yes," she said. "We'll all be equal. And we can call it... how does the Philia Alliance sound?" Without waiting for a reply, she turned to Nazir. He was very handsome, she realised suddenly. Handsome and polite, and willing to start a pack of equals with her. "Yes," she promised. "I'll guide the pack with you- we'll be Guides together." She turned to Toril, smiling. "Maybe you can't fight or hunt or keep appearances, but you can advise us. Be the brains. Make sure we stay equal," she announced to the world at large. "If you're all okay with that... let's howl together, and claim the land forever."

(OOC: Guys, since you haven't replied- either of you- I'm going to do a DP, since there doesn't appear to be rules against it, send out the howls, and then finish the founding.)
Magispar waited for any disagreement; she took the lack of wails of agony as agreement, and lifted her head. She paused for a second, savouring this moment, the founding of a pack that would hopefully last lifetimes. The most important thing she would ever do. Smiling to herself, she opened her mouth and sang out her howl to the world. It spoke of hardship and hope, sadness and happiness, defiance and willingness; the hardship they'd all endured to get here, her hopes for the pack, her sadness at leaving her loner life behind, her happiness at her new pack and possibly mate, her defiance to the world and anybody who dared challenge the new pack, her willingness to be equal. She ended on a long, low note, claiming the land, telling all others to leave. Lowering her head, she brought the howl slowly to a close, and listened to the echoes. Echoes which she knew and hoped would last forever, and be embodied in her new pack. The Philia Alliance had been born.
