This is mostly a plot between Con and scorch, but if you'd like to join just ask, I don't think we'll mind Som [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=80622a]The tall Lupus sulked along the prairie, sleek black and blood red fur gleaming in the sun. The young wolf was feeling rather bored, there had been little to do since leaving the last pack in discord. The thought of the disharmony he had caused brought a cold smirk of satisfaction, and his sea blue eyes danced in smugness. Ruining the union between the alpha male and female had really been all too easy, the female lacking male attention and Scorch being all too willing to supply some...at a cost.
The pups that had resulted were obviously not of the male's decent, and the general uproar was comical. He continued to move through the grass, gracefully trotting along and his long and muscled limbs cut through the brush with ease. Reliving his escapades always improved his moods considerably, but today it was not enough.
The constant voice nagging at his mind had become much more insistent. "Burn it!", it would command, and until he did there would be no rest. The prairie would be a perfect location for some fun, the fire could run amiss undisturbed. He released the mental barrier in his mind, and wild uncontrolled flames burst from his body enveloping him in comforting black smoke. He ran freely, fire eating away at everything in its path.
From atop a small slope he sat, watching the beautiful sight of ominous black smoke starting to fill the now obscured sky. He let out a maniac bark of delight, the demon inside him cackling at the discord. Finally, lets burn 'em down! /size]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/5vF1.jpeg][scrolly:h(240),w(400),sy] Coneiron had been out for a quick run, it took more effort to keep in shape as he got older, something he was not enjoying in the least. His run had brought him out of the Lumera Valley and into the familiar Prairie, the sun warming his back while the breeze kept him from getting too hot. Panting he forced himself to keep the rapid pace he had set, weakness was not an option when occupying a Guardian role. After all, he had several pack members to protect and keeping his physical strength tuned up was a must.
By the time he finally started to slow down the sun was falling rapidly in the sky, creating a burning glow in the distance. Frowning, Coneiron narrowed his eyes, his eyesight not as good as it used to be. However, the black billowing smoke was a sight that could not be mistaken. Something was terribly wrong, and it did not seem that anyone else was around to notice it. He pushed his muscle faster, now running at full sprint, a nagging sence of foreboding pulling at his instincts.
Reaching the top of the crest of a hill he glanced down into the tiny dip in the prairie and gulped…The scenery was on fire, painted in a macabre splash of yellow, orange and burning red. Flames rose high in some areas, spreading much faster then any ordinary fire would. In fact, the fire was so out of control it seemed like it was being manipulated. Growling in anticipation, Coneiron started to gather his elemental energy, rapidly building it up around him. If there was one thing that improved considerably with age it was his water power, and he would need all of it to get this situation back under control. He only hoped he wasn’t too late to calm the flames down.
He pulled at the clouds, and dark grey masses started to gather in the sky, sucking up the extra humidity from the ground. This was a risky maneuver as the ground would become dryer, giving the fire less of an obstacle. But it had to be done, there was not time to think of another solution. As Coneiron started to run into the flame he built a moisture barrier around his body to shield him from the scorching heat. He continued to manipulate the humidity in the atmosphere, forcing large quantity of rain to fall from the sky, almost following the older’s wolf path.
It was a taxing affair, but the rain slowly drenched the prairie, cutting the fire off from its ragging attack. The rain continued to fall abundantly for a while before tapering off, leaving a wet Coneiron to sit out of breath on the soaked and burned ground. The remaining question was who could have created such a disaster, and why? A deep growl rumbled from Coneiron’s throat, whoever was responsible was going to pay… [scrolly]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,465,true] | [bg=ffff00] Faye swiftly trotted along the prairie, her senses alert as she scanned the horizon, noticing a couple Jackalopes nibbling at the fresh spring grass. Licking her chops, she prepared to pounce, her long white legs coiled in anticipation for the hunt. However, the Jackalopes suddenly fled, and her bright yellow eyes narrowed: What had spooked them?
She briskly walked over, and her eyes widened when she saw the flames and black smoke in the distance, devouring the prairie. Odd, she thought, since the ground is usually quite wet at this time of year... Her mind began to ponder the situation, and she suspected this was the doing of another wolf, if not a dragon. She quickly raised her head and scanned the open skies, looking for the tell-tale shape of long green wings and outstretched talons. But the sky was clear, and she watched the flames from afar, wondering who would do such a terrible thing: And why?
Suddenly, she glanced around, wondering if there were any other wolves in the area: It was best to warn them of the danger, before anyone got hurt. She raised her head and howled, the sound echoing in the distance, a warning: Fire in the prairie, steer clear. She was about to depart herself, heading back to the meadow, when she noticed a figure rushing into the flames, and dark clouds gathered in the once clear sky: Heavy rain burst forth, and the flames quickly died down. Impressed, she lightly ran towards the other large wolf, and stopped a polite distance away.
"Greetings, traveler. I am Faye, a Sage for the Philia Alliance. I thank you for putting out the fire. Have you any idea of the wolf behind this..." she couldn't find any other word for it : "...destruction?" She remained standing, although not aggressive, and glanced around for any other wolves: It's best we stay alert, she thought warily to herself, for a wolf capable of such destruction must be dangerous.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=80622a]Scorch was forced to stop his merry making when his beautiful master piece of discord was extinguished by a sudden rain. Eyes narrowing dangerously the young male watched as another wolf ruined his day. To make matters worse the ignorant fool was a water lupus. Distinct hate itched under his skin and a sudden urge to destroy this wolf flared up. The audacity of the brute was infuriating, in a matter of minutes he could have caused the fire to spread into pack territory and enjoyed the painful howlings of wolves helpless to his destruction.
Seeing red Scorch started to set out on a bloody mission to show this wolf the meaning of pain. His whole body language screamed attack mode, and the sight of an infuriated Scorch was more then enough to make hardened veterans cower in fear. His chomps curled up into a heinous mask of disgust, and he flicked his tale in anticipation of the blood that was soon to be shed. He simply loved the sight of the red liquid mixing into his fur, the warm liquid a delicious elixir to his madness.
However, his death escapade was interrupted by the arrival of a white furred female...Snorting in frustration Scorch paused, the situation now called for a different tactic. Besides, if they were from the same pack he could become rapidly out numbered. Perhaps this female would be gullible enough to fall into his trap?
He changed his movements into that of a worried wolf, trotting down the slope with wide eyes. With a slightly slumped form he became the vision of a scared young pup, barely knowledgeable enough to understand what had just happened. He could play the victim easily, and he was confident these wolves would barely suspect he was at the root of this display.
As he approached them he let out a small whimper and said in a shaky voice, "What just happened, I feel so disoriented...? Are you wolves alright?" On the inside he was cackling in joy, the situation perfectly hilarious to him. No hurting having a little fun was there?

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/5vF1.jpeg][scrolly:h(240),w(400),sy] The old brute turned to the white wolf known as Faye. Sniffing lightly at the air he did indeed find truth to her words, there was no evidence of malice behind the Alliance's member. "The name is Coneiron and I am a Guardian for the Children of Hvitur Ari. If I knew what wolf was responsible for this mess they would be in great trouble." He wrinkled his brow, one white fang showing with his irritation. "Although we can't be sure it was not another creature then a wolf..." He trailed off, debating whether a dragon could have caused this.
It would certainly explain why the fire was so wide spread and out of control. However, despite being a ravenous blaze, the flames had seemed to move in cohesiveness to a certain degree, making its way to Children's pack lands despite the direction of the wind. Such a display would necessitate a large burst of power worthy of a more experienced fire wielder, but even so the lack of control suggested and individual with a lower level of power. The whole affair reeked.
Snorting in annoyance, Coneiron started to pace, his large paws making imprints in the wet soot covered ground. Through his contemplations he heard the frail voice of another male asking if they were alright. Turning he stared at the new comer, a bitter taste forming in his mouth. He had many years of experience being held prisoner by some of the most disreputable individuals of the lupus kingdom, and something seemed off about this young male. "We are fine, did you see anything unusual happen?" He kept his answer brief and no nonsense, there was no time to offer comfort to; and even if the others wolf mannerism suggested that he was barely out of pup years, the bulk of muscles on the lupus' hide spoke differently.
Suspicion crept up his spine, all his warrior training pulling at his instincts. But there was no basis for this judgment as the black and dark red male did seem genuinely confused. To be safe Coneiron took a commanding pose, standing taller with his tale held high and stiff. He had been in more difficult situations then this, and with his 8 years of experience he should be more then able to solve the issue at hand.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,465,true] | [bg=ffff00] Faye watched the young wolf join them with her hawk-like yellow eyes: Disoriented, he says? How much smoke has he inhaled? she vaguely wondered to herself. His voice was shaky and innocent seeming, but he did not look the part: With his handsome face and muscular body, Faye suspected he was in his prime, a young, healthy wolf.
Her eyes narrowed as she watched Coneiron stand tall, obviously showing the younger male he was not to be toyed with. Hum, thought Faye, he suspects something. She didn't know why, but she trusted Coneiron and his instincts, as well as hers. Of course, she was a Sage now, and this position was reputed to be a wise and calm one: There would be no rash decisions or judgmental words from her. She decided saying little and watching more was a good course of action, and she noticed the soot from the ground was beginning to stain her paws a dirty black.
A bitter taste began to form in her mouth as she thought of who might do this, and her claws curled into the ground: A Sage she might be, but she was no youngster when it came to battle, being well-trained by her parents pack. She looked at the new wolf, unsure: If he was the one to do this, why would he come and meet them? To her, this made no sense. However, she doubted his innocence. Yet if he was innocent, and she had falsely accused him, this would make her a fool and unwise, two things that a Sage should never be. What evidence was there to incriminate this youngster? Nothing, as to what she had seen so far.
It was best to be friendly and open, but also aware: He was probably innocent, but she was open to other possibilities. She waited for the new comer to introduce himself, and sat down, her pose not commanding, yet not overly friendly: Simply neutral, the way she liked it.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [bg=80622a] The pose of dominance was not missed to Scorch, and if it had been just him and the old wolf he would have lunged for the arrogant brute's throat. As always his blood thirsty inner voice urge him to turn to violence as it argued vehemently with the demented pup in him that just loved to "play" with his opponents. And that's what any other wolf was...an opponent. This crowd was tougher to perform for, their lack of trust evident in their stances. Sighing inwardly Scorch thought to himself, well I guess its time to lay on the ol' charm.
In any case, they could prove nothing, and the older male's frustration was well worth the effort. With a small smile on his face he lowered the pitch of his voice, making it sound younger and said, " I am so relieved, it would be simply devastating if anyone were to have gotten hurt or worse...died. I came just as the flames were being put out, I wish I could have done more to help." The very idea seemed like something a meek and weaker wolf would say, and having to play such a repulsive part wasn't entirely all that amusing. "My name is Spark, I was exiled from my pack for being...different. I guess they saw individuality as a defect" He hung his head in false shame to hide the uncontrollable smirk on his face, a false tremor in his voice. The pose was disgustingly humble, but it amused Scorch to lie about himself.
Using a technique he had found to be useful with the ladies, he let a small tear fall down his soft fur, the clear liquid like a diamond on black silk. Letting his shoulders slump he gave of a well put together impression of a self conscience wolf with no self esteem. The irony of the situation was much too good, and the small rush he was getting from the situation was adding fuel to his cruelly creative imagination. Oh the things I could do if given the opportunity Scorch thought. Hopefully joining the Mafia would give him just the chance to do so...and much more.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i.imm.io/5vF1.jpeg][scrolly:h(240),w(400),sy] Coneiron looked down at the pitiful young wolf, obviously this lupus had some issues. Gruffly he said, " S'ok Spark, no need to pull out the water works, we're all adults here." Eying the dark furred wolf up and down he did add, "So what are you doing out here? A lone wolf makes for easy prey," he trailed off as a sudden inspiration hit him, "especially to wandering Hellion Mafia." It would be like them to send out a buzzard to destroy other wolves's territories, but it would also be odd for the designated member to approach other wolves from different packs, especially if out numbered.
Sniffing at the air he picked up diverse wolf scents off Spark, none of them supporting his theory of being kicked out, the smells too recent to hold truth to his words. Frowning he proposed, "If you don't have a pack, it would be in your best interest to find one, especially if you continue to find yourself in such...dangerous situations." He finished his sentence in a speculative voice, maybe if he cornered the younger male he could force the fellow to show what he was playing at. Either way, he was growing tired of this exchange and was feeling the need to return to his pack territory. If this was a Mafia member up to no good then he needed to be with the ones he had sworn to protect. Glancing over at Faye he asked with his eyes if she was finding the wolf's story a little...false.
