Had they left me?
The flame colored keiyou wondered.
Left me here unable to fly?
Her wings lay torn at her sides, assuring her inability to fly off after her parents. Her green eyes a mixture of hurt and anger. A tear formed in her eyes, as she once again let out a screech for help, for her parents, for a griffin, for anybody.
How could a strong griffin like myself get here today?
Unable to fly in my natural habitat?
She sat down and curled her lion like tail around her legs, all four of her paws on the ground. She lifted her nose to the setting sun, and howled. however what came out of her throat was far from a howl. A songbirds song escaped from her, chirping with agony of loss.
Her mind raced, she remembered all the times she had played with the smaller griffins, all the times she had sparred with them. She remembered being served slightly smaller portions of meat, and at times being punished for being an inconvenience. She remembered her parents, the half lion, half bird of prey abandoning her here, and assuring she didn’t follow them back.
Stuck on a cliff side, that’s how to keiyou remained, chirping a pretty bird song no wolf could understand the sadness of.

It wasn't quite wolf, but it wasn't quite griffin. It was a mixture of both and the sound made her curious, wondering what it was that had made such a dastardly noise. It had scared the lovely songbirds away that she was spending her free afternoon with. Being a barn swallow myou, it was some habit of hers to chatter with songbirds quite often.
She got off the rock she was lounging idly on, stretching out her wings and limbs. Lifting her wings, she thrust them down and rocketed into the sky with ease. Once high enough, it was easy to spot the misplaced dot of bright orange on the canyon-side, laying there as if nothing were to happen to it. She growled, something would happen to the damned thing today, she was not in a particularly good mood today as she usually would be. She glided off towards the creature, noticing it definitely was not a griffin the closer she got.
With ease, Sandralina landed beside the injured being, remaining hidden. She listened for a moment to her song and her heart softened, realizing she probably wasn't there to cause the pack any harm. She walked around the keiyou and stood in front of her, becoming visible to the girl. "That was a beautiful song..." She changed her expression. "Stranger, what are you doing on the Styrrstar Cadre's lands?" Though she cared that the female was injured and in pain, she had pack duties to attend to first, and the first thing on the list was addressing strangers.

Immediately the keiyou stopped singing. Her face suddenly drew up into a snarl, but it was released upon observing the creature in front of her.
It was almost black, but she noticed a hint of blue. A tail like a bird, and with wings the same dark blue, with white on the bottom. What really caught her eyes was the other wolfs muzzle, she gaped at it. For it was not a beak, and resembled some of the prey she had eaten at one point, and her own.
It stood before her, naturally her ears seemed to pick up on her sounds, and by instinct turned them into words.
"That was a beautiful song..."
"Stranger, what are you doing on the Styrrstar Cadre's lands?"
Blinking, she understood most of the words, except for the last. She opened her mouth to reply, but all that came out to the other wolf was random squawking mixed with low growls.
I’m here because I can’t leave you idiot! She screeched in her mind
She narrowed her eyes, unable to mimic the wolfs sound. What is this thing? Why doesn’t it have a beak? What kind of race have a run into?
Despite her apprehension, she was curious. This creature before her certainly resembled herself, It has wings, no beak, four paws… She stared at the creature her thoughts a whirl with confusion. Total confusion clear on her face. Yet a hint of a snarl. This creature has wings, it cannot be all bad…

It was strange, this wolf. She wondered what it was that this girl was doing out here, unable to understand the speech of a wolf. Her mind drifted back to the song and she immediately recognized the species who sang it, the griffin. She could mostly speak griffin, so maybe she could get an understanding out of the brightly colored ball of fur and feathers.
Her voice contorted itself and Estoni, her second soul, gave her instructions on what to say and how to say it. Estoni knew more about the creatures than she did, but it was useful. Using her griffin voice, she spoke once more, "What is your name?" Of course, the barn swallow myou did not at all expect an answer from her, or for her to be friendly towards her.
Sandralina didn't have a reason to be friendly, as she was trespassing on the packs lands. It had been long enough for the subordinate to know that Rhiannon would not be a happy alphess if she found out this wolf was here, one she didn't know and one that was a stranger to the pack. Rhiannon did not usually tolerate such things, and she certainly wanted to be the last one on her leader's bad side.

“What is your name?"
As the other wolf spoke in griffin , the keiyou felt deep relief. Her snarl temporarily removed from her face, and a spark of question raised in her glare.
“My name is Skerk! What race do you belong to?” She screeched, her lips drawing up in a slight snarl. Her griffin voice sounded very meek, yet her tone commanding. Her feet were lightly backing away despite her word, and they made klutzy movements quite the opposite of how gracefully she had been in the sky. Wings now lay limp at the side, giving her pain. Not as great as the pain of being abandoned though.
Have they left me here to die?
Die at the feet of a strange race?
Blood has stained her feathers, and despite being totally helpless, she decided to take a risk. Death did not deter her, she would fly, or die trying.
“You will help me get back to the sky.” She demanded, her voice still sounding meek in griffin despite how she tried to cover it up.

It was obvious this wolf didn't speak her own language, as she was speaking griffin to her right now. She was curious, pondering the fact that this wolf might not know what she was, if she believed she was something other than a wolf.
In her griffin voice, she continued, "My name is Sandralina, and I am a barn swallow myou. I am a wolf, just as you are." She noticed the immense pain the female seemed to be in, and definitely noticed how different she was from normal wolves. She decided to keep her happy go lucky attitude bottled up this time and brought out her calm one, trying not to be cross with the female. This didn't work well, however, when she demanded Sandra help her get back to the sky.
Of course, she would have no problem helping her, had this been a normal wolf. However, she wouldn't just do things that were demanded of her, unless the orders were given by a higher ranking wolf. She bared her teeth a little, "I don't take orders from strangers. You're lucky I don't chase you out of the lands or kill you right now. Mind your manners! You're a guest here..." Sandralina rarely became furious, but she hadn't been in a good mood lately. The stress of the upcoming gamma challenge was weighing on her greatly.

Wolf
Wolf…
Wolf?
Her claws dug into the ground, eyes flared with anger and confusion. She snarled, however it sounded more like of rough squawk. Then Skerk’s pride finally faltered, the realization that she was a wolf hit her. She began to shake.
I’m a lowlife.
Pride rapidly evaporating, Skerk spoke once more, this time meek, and how she usually spoke to her parents. “You are more bird than I, you belong in the sky more than I,” Her voice faltered, but she continued, “You will help me get back to the sky? You will help me leave?”This time it was a question.
Skerk knew she was in a weak state, she couldn’t fly, and that was everything. Never had she had to attack from the ground before. Then sky had always been on her side, and with if this wolf before her could fly, and she could not, then therefor this wolf before her was her superior for now.

Rhiannon didn't like strangers on the land unless they were joining the pack, but she didn't know where Skerk stood on terms of living. Was she here to join the pack? Obviously not, for she had been attacked by a griffin and seemed confused and shocked to learn she was a wolf. Sandra was surprised she didn't know, so she assumed the female had been raised differently than most.
Despite her injured state, the young wolf still wished to fly and get away. Sandralina sighed, "You cannot leave. You're hurt. You need to rest." She pondered her options some more. Stay and help the poor soul, which would lead to getting caught and punished. Or leave and let her get picked off by the griffins or possibly Ardent, the dragon the Cadre had befriended. She remained silent, however, waiting for the answer of the young female.
