"Talking!" Normal
Drakon padded softly through the grass, her tigerstripe pelt shimmering like silk in the summer sun. She walked slowly, enjoying the moment. She looked towards the sky, and no cloud was scarring the blue horizon. She heard the scuffle of tiny paws and pounced silently on a mouse scurrying by. She did not hurt it, only merely wanted to play. The mouse lay trembling, and she gently nudged the little creature; it scurried off without hesitation. She smiled, and absorbed the sun's rays. It warmed her silky pelt, and she crept up on the riverbank. She lowered her muzzle to drink, and licked up the icy waters.
She turned away from the river and lept up on a large flat stone. She lay down, feeling the heat rise into her bodywarmth. She was ready to sleep by now. She raised her nose to the sun and let out a quiet howl before singing, loudly because she felt that she was alone.
It's a great day to be alive I know the sun's still shining when I close my eyes These are hard times in the lonely packs Yet everything seems to be working just like that
Live like you're dying, for today may not last Give and take a break before time flies to fast Live in the moment and don't let it escape For you'll only remember that harsh little rage
She closed her eyes as she sang, her melodious voice ringing out with happiness.
"Live like you're dying Kryptonite. Don't let anything stop you from moving on."

Cayden lazed amongst the tall grasses, staring up at the wide blue sky. He never saw this view in the jungle. With the tall, dark trees that seemed to rise endlessly, it was a miracle to even get a glimpse of the world above. If only he could stay here forever beneath the peaceful sky that reminded him so much of home. He stood and shook himself, snapping his teeth in disapproval. These thoughts were wrong. His home was where ever the pack made it, and that made his home the jungle.
His large ears caught on a sound and his previous berating vanished as tried to pinpoint its origin. All around him were tall grasses that pointed toward the sky, wavering beneath their own height. They wove across his vision, blocking his sight. His ears locked on the sounds source and he stretched himself, craning his neck to see. There! By the river. He bounced forward just as he heard a howl gently rise up toward the sky.
He didn't have far to go, and luckily managed to keep his hooves from tripping over nothing. belatedly he though maybe he was losing some of the water weight in this drier atmosphere. He certainly wasn't so clumsy with it weighing him down.
The tall grasses thinned slightly and he could see the tiger-striped form resting beside the water. He smiled as the wolf's pleasant voice resonated through the air and stepped forward, toward the water. The grasses brushed across his grey-gold coat as he left there seclusion and clopped across the rocks before reaching the bank. He paused and glanced up with bright yellow eyes at the wolf and waved his tail in greeting before bending down to drink the clear water. Its cold fingers seemed to skim along his muzzle as he drank his fill. Turning he smiled and waved his tail enthusiastically.
"Hi my name's Cayden." His head lowered briefly as something occurred to him and he spoke again, less cheerily. "Sorry I should of greeted you properly before I grabbed a drink. That was lovely singing by the way."

She was startled by the wolf's presence and jumped slightly at his voice. She flicked her head towards the male and smiled as he wagged his tail. She stood up and shook off, telling herself there's no time to nap right now. She jumped off the rock and padded over to the river, standing on the opposite bank of the Eremus.
"Why hello there. Thank you, I sing as a stress reliever for my troubled soul. I have been looking for my friend Kryptonite for a while; she's a black and red sparking Lupus. And my name is Drakon."
Her smile deteriorated as his happy introduction shallowed a little. She wanted to get a better look at him, so she padded across the river to the other side of him.
"Honestly, I don't mind on introductions or when you do that. I just enjoy the introduction itself. You seem like a nice fellow. What are you doing well out here?"
She looked him over while listening. He was thin, and his gray-gold coat shimmered gently in the sun. His eyes were brightly yellow, glowing almost like a highlighter. They were almost... intriguing. She tilted her head slightly, looking at him.

Cayden cocked hi head as he listened and did a quick review of his thoughts, he hadn't seen anyone else.
"Sorry, I haven't seen your friend." He let out a little laugh. "And I think a red sparking Lupus would stand out." He tried to picture a place where such a wolf would easily blend in and failed. Surely he would of noticed Kryptonite if he'd passed her. Giving a little shake he pulled out of his head and saw that Drakon was coming over. He smiled again, it was always nice to make friends.
"My pack is in the Jungle. I just wanted to take a short trip to someplace drier, someplace where I could actually see the sky." He paused momentarily and glanced up at the sky. Its wide expanse was always a happy sight. "You said you've been looking for your friend?" His brow furrowed as a thought occurred to him and he continued worriedly. "She's not lost is she?"

She glanced back at the wolf she was standing near and blinked unemotionally.
"No she's fine. I found her scent mixed in with the Balkimir Yikaxy pack. I'm not sure I quite enjoy it there, I haven't seen her yet. I do pray to the Goddess she's doing well and found some sort of mate... She had a horrible life when she left our old home."
She sighed quietly, missing her old friend. She thought about all Krypt's father had done to her and Drakon and tears welled in her eyes. She blinked them away before returning her gaze to the male before her. She padded off into dry grass and lay down in a low patch, below the blue expanse of sky; basically in the perfect spot.
"Care to join me?"
