[scrolly:h(292),w(420),sy] Artellia had taken her time making her way to the Cadre lands, she wasn’t really in any hurry to settle and today she was in a pouty mood. It had been hot out, terribly hot and she could feel the rough fur on her dark green back burning up under the blaze. It was time to cool off so she slinked down the canyon’s wall, making her way to the pool lying at the bottom of the territory’s waterfall. She had eaten but a couple hours ago, but her muscled shape demanded more nutrition with a viciousness that did little to appeal her mounting irritation. She fervently hoped there was fish to eat in the pool for if she was to meet a superior today it would not do her well to be in a fool mood.
She could of course disguise the mood should she encounter a male, she liked her chops, yes she certainly could. However, females were different, she could do little to hide her irritation from one of them and knowing her disposition it would likely be one of them that would receive the blunt of it. To say the very least she had no desire to inflict this treatment on another, at least not for the purpose of today. To make matters worse she truly did want more company as she grew very lonely without a consistent buzz of attention.
Artellia finally reached the pool and she slithered in with a powerful flick of her long and thin tail, slicing rapidly through the water. She was an excellent swimmer, her crocodile monitor guide Eraniusii had taught her well. Would you just shut up with the thinking and feed me, Eraniussi complained for the third time. Yeah yeah, hold your horses, I’m on it, Artellia answered to her impatient and impulsive second soul.
With a few slicing twists of her tail she dove under the surface and snatched a fish in her long claws, biting through it with her fangs as she swam back up to the surface. Flipping on her back she started to devour hungrily her fish, letting her tail do the swimming. To a casual observer it would appear she hadn’t eaten in days, but that was the way her second soul always felt.
Flipping back over she groomed her fur before making her way back to land and lying down on the edge of the pool in the sun to dry off, her tail still partially submerged in the water. She supposed all she could do now was wait for a high ranking wolf to make his or her appearance. She knew little about this pack, she loved the land and could adapt to whatever creed they bided by as necessary. [/scrolly]

Dagyr padded softly down the side of the canyon. It had been a few days, but he felt completely different. Upon being chosen for beta, Dagyr felt liked he was on top of the world. His walk hadn't changed much, he had always walked with pride, but now he held his head higher than he had since he had lived in his old pack. The weather was hot and the sun beamed down on his bulky frame. This was the one problem of being a Yagi, you got hot much faster. Dagyr had decided he was going to go lay out by the spring to cool off.
Stepping away from the canyon's staircase Dagyr realised someone else had this idea... Lifting his maw into the air, Dagyr breathed in the scent of the wolf. Myou, and a stranger... female. He could just faintly pick up the smell of reptile. He stepped around a pile of boulders and found her laying out just infront of him. Hello... Are you lost? He tilted his head and looked down at teh felame who was sunning herself and drying off. Definatly her second soul was reptile... but what he could not quite tell.

Lyra had been out and about for the last few hours, she hated being cooped up in the den because of her injuries. So far the one on her flank had been healing quite well and would turn into a long scar but what got to her was her ankle. She had almost been in tears when she had been told that she would have a permanent limp as that would mean she couldn't compete in the tournament so she had dropped out as she didn't want to be humiliated if the Lyxxus Lyta beat her in battle. She was parched her mouth was like sand and with the sun on her fur she was boiling.
She was headed towards the Eas Spring but as she neared it she couldn't help feeling nervous. This had been the place where she had been injured. She had been in the water with her good friend Ahote when a large red serpant with jaws of steel and teeth like knives pulled her under the water by her ankle. She had fought viciously and eventually killed the creature but not with serious injuries. Ahote had pulled her out of the water and had called to Rhia and a healer and soon she had found herself in her den with most of her wounds healed. She limped on trying to forget the horrifying experience when the scent of others reached her. One was the familiar scent of her packmate and now beta male Dagyr but the other was unfamiliar, a myou female.
She soon came in sight of the two, stopping in front of Dagyr with a polite dip of the head "Greetings Dagyr and congratulations on your new rank as Beta." she turned her head the female sunning herself on a rock, obviously a reptile in second soul. "And who are you?" her tone was not as harsh as it was demanding but it was mostly her disliking for other species that made her this way but she would let it pass.

[scrolly:h(292),w(420),sy] Artellia heard a male voice speak to her, and she forced Eraniusii to wake up from her reptile slumber. Why you gotta go and do that? Eraniusii whined in her reptilian voice, now I am hungry again. Artellia hushed her crocodile monitor soul, We have company, and now is not the time to be sleeping you useless reptile, now wake up before we look completely useless. She blinked her golden eyes, her pupil more narrowed then that of the average wolf, as she studied whom had addressed her. A strongly built wolf stood before her, a Yagi by his horns, and she languidly uncoiled her muscles as she moved into the shade.
In a husky voice that came naturally with being associated to a monitor she drawled, “Ya’ll have ta excuse my slow response, my second soul you see is a crocodile monitor, and she don’t do too well when it comes to waking up. I guess that makes me a Myou, Artellia is my name and I ain’t lost. In fact, I’m exactly in the right spot I do believe sugah if this is the Cadre’s lands.” She smiled candidly, larger fangs overlapping her maw slightly. Just then she noticed a second Yagi, a female by the sound of her voice, addressing her as well. Her tone of voice did not appeal to Artellia’s ears, as it did not appeal to Eraniusii. Just great, Era complained, a bossy female come to ruin the party. It was all Artellia could do to not growl out loud in exasperation. The last thing she needed was advice from the sleazy Era, though her advice had come in handy on several occasions.
She flicked her long and thin tail behind her, causing a puff of dust to rise and clawed lightly at the dirt. Despite Era’s complaints she extended her smile to the female Yagi. “So then I may assume ya name is Dagyr?” She questioned as she addressed the male, “And ah I suppose a more appropriate answer to your question is that I’m a plausible future pack mate, permission pending of course.” Tasting the air she continued, “If I may be so bold dahlings, I can bring this pack some dependable fighting skills and I’m a rather good huntress as the occasion warrants.” Artellia proceeded to follow the female Yagi’s example and bowed politely to the Beta. No one could fault the Myou for her attempt at good manners. Her eyes turned to rest on the female once again, noticing the wound on her side as she asked, “May I ask to whom I have the pleasure of speaking too?”[/scrolly]

Dagyr looked up as he heard footsteps, finding Lyra coming toward him. He hadn't seen her since the pack meeting. She hadn't shown up to the fight. Dagyr had been worried about her since he had heard that she had been attacked. Seeing her now he was glad she was well enough to move around, though he noticed she limped now. Dagyr was sorrowful to know that her gracefully walk would be impaired for the rest of her life, but there was nothing he could do. He nodded to her as she bowed, Thank you Lyra, glad to see you out and about. He then turned back toward the myou as she began to move.
Dagyr listened to her speech and nodded his approval. I understand your slow response and I do not mind. I am surprised you did not alert anyone on your entrance, but I am glad you are a friend and not a foe. It is much too hot for an enjoyable fight... And yes I am Dagyr, Beta of the Cadre. I welcome you Artellia to our home. We would be honored to add to our arsenal a myou of your quality. I don't believe we have a reptile myou in our pack as of yet. He smiled softly at the newest member of the pack. He knew he was being more humble toward other species than most other yagis, but Rhiannon had unconsciously taught him a slight appreciation for the strengths of other species... Not that any were better than yagi in many areas, but they all had their strengths. A reptile, especially a crocodile monitor, myou would be a good strength to add.

Lyra listened to the Myous explanation on why she was here and supressed a laugh at the way this creature talked. But she couldn't help feeling a hint of disgust at having two souls inside ones body, she was glad she was a Yagi. She gave a polite dip of her head to the Myou and walked past her to the spring dipping her tongue into the cold water, relishing the feel of it sliding down her throat. She dipped her antlers in it and through her head up splashing the water down her back to cool her off since she had no intentions of going into the spring again.
She stepped back from the spring and gave another nod to the two of them. Her ankle was acting up again and she was getting tired from being in the sun and walking around the canyon. "Well I must go now, my injuries are acting up and I am quite tired. I will see the two of you around." She turned and limped off heading towards the Falach, leaving the two to chat.
OOC: Thought I may aswell take her out since I am running out of muse for this thread.
